After going through an annoying challenge in Greece and having his secret exposed. Duncan heads to the cargo hold for a break when he sees Tyler there as well. He originally takes his frustrations out on Tyler before he unexpectedly calms down.
Duncan was not happy.
Yesterday's challenge had been an absolute hell to go through, he was attacked by a bear, forced to sing as he spoke, and even got punched out by CODY of all people.
The worst part of it all was that Tyler just had to expose his kiss with Gwen, the big mouth clearly couldn't keep his mouth shut, couldn't he? Now everyone on the plane would be hounding him for sure.
Thankfully, he had not been eliminated just yet. Chris loved the drama so much that Duncan got to stay in the game, which was good for him, now Duncan could do some damage control.
He tried to visit first class to talk to Gwen, but of course he was kicked out almost instantly. Everyone on Gwen's team was mad at him for what he did, even Cody and Heather couldn't help but feel some disgust at the punk for what he did(considering both of their natures opposed each other, it was clear some level of lines have been crossed for them) and it seemed like Gwen felt too guilty to follow him for fear of upsetting Courtney more.
Duncan did not feel like talking with his team right now so he figured he should go to the cargo hold for a bit to clear his thoughts. However, once he gets inside the hold, he saw the one person who put him in this mess to begin with.
"Duncan!" Tyler's eyes widened in fear at the punk's presence to which Duncan narrowed his eyes at.
"Why so scared Tyler?" Duncan asked sarcastically, "It's not like you caused me any trouble or anything."
Tyler didn't get a chance to say anything before Duncan laughed sinisterly, "Oh wait, no. That's exactly what you did and you will pay for it. I was gonna tell Courtney about what happened myself but noooooooo, she just had to hear it from you. Excellent work blabbermouth."
"I-I'm sorry." Tyler spoke in a panic, "I didn't know you were actually gonna say anything to Courtney, y'know 'cause cheaters don't usually do that! And Al-Alejandro needed a favor, plus I'm not the best with secrets! Please don't hurt me! I'm sorry!"
Duncan was kinda surprised to see Tyler acting so helpless and panicky, this was different from how he usually picked on Harold. At least Harold was obnoxious to the point where he wouldn't be shaking in his boots over Duncan, but picking on Tyler like this felt wrong, especially since Duncan did cheat on his girlfriend.
"Alright, alright. Chill out, I'm not gonna hurt you." Duncan told the jock in an attempt to reassure him.
"Y-You're not?" Tyler shuddered, still a bit scared despite what Duncan had just said.
"Nah. I was just annoyed at what's been going on." Duncan shrugged neutrally, "Everyone from Team Amazon was giving me crap about the whole situation when I went to try and talk to Gwen."
"Well… you did betray Courtney," Tyler began carefully before quickly adding, "but you should still be allowed to talk to Gwen about this."
"Yeah… hopefully I'll be able to talk to Gwen about the future of our relationship despite these complications." Duncan looked to the side.
"If it makes you feel better, despite the shady circumstances of your hookup, you might have a better chance of working out than you and Courtney." Tyler tried to reassure the punk.
"Hmm, I guess that's true." Duncan smiled, "Thanks jockstrap, you're not as annoying as I thought you were."
"Uh… thanks I think." Tyler raised an eyebrow.
"It's a compliment, don't worry. Also, we should probably get back to our team before Alejandro gets suspicious." Duncan said before he began heading out of the cargo hold with Tyler following. This season may have been absolutely awful so far, but hey, talking with Tyler turned out to not be so bad after all. He wouldn't call the jock a friend right now, but he wasn't that bad.
Author's Notes: Originally, this was supposed to end with Duncan and Tyler kissing due to the request that was made, but I felt the love triangle was controversial enough so I just took that part out of the request. Unless I plan on acknowledging infidelity as a dramatic plot point, I'm not going to include it.
