Immunity/Reward Challenge

Day 20

"Come on in!"

The seven Foka enter, either going to win three in a row, or completely tank in performance. BUT, we never got to hear from Matt and Toriel about throwing the challenge, because Kano had to get himself screentime.

"Get a look at the new Tatu tribe…"

The five Tatu enter, missing an important member of the Roku tribe. "Monty voted out last Tribal Council." Matt nods at his hedgehog ally, who nods back. The five hit their colored mat, and it's time to move on.

"Before we begin this immunity and reward challenge, Tatu has five. Foka, you need to sit two people out." The totally lovely tribe of seven get together and make a call.

"Dee and Mei." Kano pitches, but he does have opposition. "Me again?" the waddle dee asks, and he doesn't seem to have much remorse. "We have to keep the tribe strong." The waddle dee stays quiet after that. So… it seems he heard about the challenge throw from Toriel. "Ok."

All eyes are on Mei next, and she's familiar with their body language. "I'll sit out if it helps us." 5th Foka turn their attention to Jeff next, with Toriel stepping forward. "We will sit out Dee and Li." The two head to the sit-out bench, Jeff not even having to say a word about it. "I respect the hustle." he comments, and gets back to business.

"Alright. Immunity and reward are up for grabs. For today's challenge, you'll carry a large saucer to a water tower, fill it with water, and race through a series of obstacles. You'll empty what's left into the well, head back and do it again. Once you fill the well, puzzle pieces will drop and you'll use them to assemble a puzzle. First tribe to finish wins immunity and reward, and the losers will see me at Tribal Council, where someone will be the next person voted out of this game."

It's called "Dishwalla" from Winners at War. But what comes next is more important to the tribes.

"Wanna know what you're playin' for?" You already know Jeff! "The winning tribe earns Chinese takeout at their camp. It might not be a Yacht trip, but it's still fuel for another day."

Not many castaways left are a Chinese Food connoisseur, so it'd be new for them. Nonetheless, there's still a challenge to get through first.

"I'll give you a moment to prepare, and we'll get started."

The two tribes have their saucer in hand, ready to fill it to the brim.

"Here we go, for immunity! Survivors ready?"

"GO!"

The two tribes race through the obstacles, and get to their saucer. With no water involved, the obstacles are easy to go through, all it's about good maneuvering. "Now you'll add water, and the difficulty is only going to rise." Jeff explains, and Sonic picks up the speed for Tatu, yanking a lever and getting some water in, as Tatu actually has a lead.

Foka isn't far behind though, but a certain plot would hold them back. Toriel adds water to the saucer, but as they hit the first obstacle, Kano "accidentally" slips, pulling the saucer down with him! "The difficulty's on Hard Mode already!" Jeff exclaims, as ALL of their water is out. They have no choice but to go back.

Noticing their failure, Tatu slows their pace. "We can actually take our time, it's a miracle." Gordon comments, as the five continue forward. Their second obstacle is a straight, narrow-like beam, so Mac steps onto it to guide. "Steady, steady…" he orders, as Tatu maneuvers even smoother.

Toriel pulls the lever again and water comes down. As the five Tatu get past their last obstacle, the five Foka get past their first. The beam part comes up, and Kabal climbs on it first. As they guide the saucer, a little water spills out and Kabal yanks himself backwards, the saucer crashing down again!

"If things keep going this way, Tatu's going to have an easy path to victory!"

There's still a little water inside, and they're pretty far in, so they keep going. As for Tatu, they pour water in the well, and notice there's still some space to cover. "One more trip." Luigi says, as Tatu takes the saucer back to the water. Foka's able to reach their well and pour the little water they have. Unfortunately for those who aren't interested in throwing…it's NOT enough.

"Both tribes have to go back to square one, and hope THIS is the time those pieces will come down."

Tatu gets their second batch of water and slowly navigates through the obstacles. Foka gets their third batch at this point, and this time Li Mei pulls the lever. They go back out for a third round of pain. "Even though Foka's been fumbling, they still have a shot to get back in it." Do they?

Tatu gets past that narrow beam, a little water leaving the saucer. Nonetheless, they navigate past the third one while Foka gets past their first. The beam part comes up again, and Foka…actually tries to do it correctly. Is it to make their plan more believable? Or do they actually want to get the win now?

While Foka navigates the beam, Tatu's able to reach their well and pour that water in! "Is it enough?" Jeff asks, and what was basically a head start from the Black Dragon could all be for nothing…

The puzzle pieces drop down, and "It does! You're good!"

Blu jumps up and snatches the bag. She comes to the puzzle podium and spills all the pieces out, and Mac steps up to help her out. The Yoshi and boxer start getting to work, as Foka spills their water into the well.

"Is it enough?"

"NO! You need one more trip!"

The five Foka take their saucer back, the hope of a comeback for anyone who's changed their mind sinking…and the pride of those who are throwing as well.

Tremor: I could have won this challenge by myself. If my allies didn't want to throw, I wouldn't even be seeing a Tribal Council. And yet, it's a strategy that's helped us along the way.

Tatu is having an easier time with the puzzle, since it's just the 'Survivor' logo with 'Fight for Fiji' below it. As for the tribe in last, Foka, they get through their obstacles without much of a hassle this time, and pour that water in the well. The bag drops down!

"Foka, is FINALLY good!"

"Thanks for the shade Jeff." Kabal says, as he grabs the bag and gets to the puzzle podium, spilling his pieces out. Li Mei volunteers to do the puzzle with Kabal, and he accepts the help. They get to work, but not rushing it in the slightest. Kabal practically palm strikes a piece in.

"Even though they're back in, the funny business goes on. Any tribe ending in "—oka" very inconsistent."

Even IF they tried to make a comeback like the host thought, it'd be too little too late..

..because Mac fits the final piece in!

"TATU WINS IMMUNITY!"

Blu hugs Mac, Luigi jumps in victory, and Gordon applauds his tribemates. "Well done." he says, but that's the tamest reaction to a win. "Reward! Finally! It's been years!" Luigi shouts, tossing his cap into the air again! Sonic rushes out to get it, and rushes back as five Tatu meet up

"Were they even trying?" Gordon asks.

"Doesn't matter we WIN!" Sonic exclaims, and the joy radiating through the tribe.

Luigi: I don't care if they handed it to us, FOOD is FOOD, and we FINALLY knock the Foka down a peg! I've never had Chinese before I've been in the Italian Fanbase, so it's really is a new day!

Foka

Day 20

The seven Foka arrive back at camp, their first loss since the swap. But, they had a hand in it.

"We've been strong ever since this point. We will come back stronger tomorrow." Tremor says, making his pitch for motivational speaker.

"We were just off our game. It happens." Matt responds, keeping it at that.

If Foka actually tried and lost, the effect of the loss would be bigger, but..everyone knew what was going down. Some tried to make it believable, while others just wanted to get the throw over with, mainly Kano and Kabal, one having experience in what we call: Professional Flopping. Speaking of him…

Kabal: In the end, I chose "Throw." Everyone's been bottling up their strategy, everyone wants to vote someone out. Tonight? it's all coming to a head.

It takes no time at all for the pre-Tribal strategy to kick in. There's been a lot of revelations over the past week for everyone at the Foka camp. But with every real plan, comes a fake.

Kano, accompanied by Kabal this time, meets with Matt and Li Mei to discuss what their gameplan is. Nobody outside of the Black Dragon are with him, but sometimes it's best to pretend. After all, he has no confirmation on a Roku/Fatu alliance.

"Tori's the head of the Fatu, if we take her out, road's much easier." The Mii says, turning to Kabal. "You got anything to say?"

"I'm happy as long as a Fatu leaves."

"Cool." Matt responds, and Li Mei jumps in real quick. "We have your back, if you have ours." Kano nods. "All part of the deal."

Later, Kano and Kabal move to the two Fatu of this swapped Foka tribe.

"Li Mei's on the quieter side. She is the most questionable out of all the Roku." Toriel says, fueling the narrative. "I understand Matt is a big threat, but he's easier to work with."

"We know him, barely know her." Kabal replies.

"Voting her off won't bother us." Kano adds, keeping his eyes on the goat. "We still have a deal?"

"The deal will stay in place." Toriel says, turning to her waddle dee ally. "We still need to run this by you. Are you alright with this deal?" She asks, and the waddle dee confirms so. "As long as it's not us."

Deal confirmed. To their faces at least.

Kano: Kabal has an idol if these deals don't work out. I could just ditch the deals but I'll have to use these people down the line. Even that small shrimp.

After both "deals" got checked up on, the two Roku and two Fatu come together to discuss what's going on with the Black Dragon. Tonight is the night to make a move.

"Splitting's an awful idea. It HAS to be 4 to 3 or else those guys got the numbers." Matt states, showing he took basic math. "That's correct. Who we will split on is the tricky part." Toriel responds, and for the most part: it's true. There's three open targets, and a couple have advantages.

"Huh…guys.." the Waddle dee gets their attention. "What if this is what Kano wanted along? He told you guys to throw, but he doesn't have safety. AND he has deals with both of you!" Great question, with a obvious observation. The Mii has an answer. "It could be a "3D Chess" play like the kids say these days. It hurt my pride throwing like that, but if we can clip one of 'em early, it's worth it. We have a 2 in 3 shot of getting this right…so since we know that, who are we goin' for?" Matt asks, sending the ball in the group's court.

"Kano's not just a schemer, but has no respect. The damage he can cause alone is a good reason to send him home, even if he becomes an ally later." Toriel suggests. "This is twice he's been involved with throwing a challenge, it's not a reassuring style of play."

"Kano's bad but we gotta look forward. Kano's an obvious threat, Tremor's built to be a challenge threat, and that leaves, someone who could be the most dangerous member: Kabal. We all like him more than the other two right?" He asks, and he may have a point. Tremor isn't very emotional, Kano's a massive schlong, and that leaves Kabal, who from his time on Toka…had better bonds.

"Tremor scares me. He can win challenges, he's mean, and he's against us. I don't think we should give him a chance of having safety." The bandana'd waddle dee proposes. "If he's by himself he can really mess us up!"

"And that underdog story…he's on borrowed time." Li Mei says, pitching in herself. "We know all three of them are threats in their own way. However I agree with Dee. Tremor is raising my concern as well."

The goat disagrees. "He may have challenges, but I can't fathom letting Kano skate by. Tremor may not hold as much I'll will as Kano, but if we take a shot and leave him here, it will backfire." She responds. "He's playing too hard."

"More people will vote for Kabal over Kano at the end, I'm calling it now." says Matt, making what could be a right prediction. "Do we want to go for the short-term or the long-term?"

Everyone has a different argument, refreshing from your usual alliance where one person leads. However, it would take a minute to find out who's catching votes.

Matt: You'd think this is an easy vote where we just pick Kano and pray for the best, but then you see all those guys are threats in their own ways. It doesn't matter which way we move, the two left are gonna use their strengths against us.

While they go on about the vote, they're surrounded by trees. One of them, with a large green shield at the top…has another tribe member inside.

It's Kano. How did he get up there?

Kano: When they went to go "get water," I kept my eye on them, stuck to the background, and climbed a tree where I could get a good view. Solid Snake doesn't have $#|t on me.

After the foursome leaves the well, Kano climbs down the tree and heads straight for his Black Dragon. After hearing some of what the four just put down, he needed a backup plan stat.

When he gets there, he spills all to his alliance.

"We're on the bottom boys, it's time we make a move." Kano says, turning to Kabal. "You still got that idol on you?"

"No I threw it in the ocean."

Kano just stares.

"Yes I have it. Did they say which one of us they're going for?" Kabal asks, and that's where bad news switches to worse news. "That's what we need to find out."

"Great."

"Eh we'll be fine. It's only between two of us any ways." Kano says gesturing to himself and his number one. Tremor isn't going to be left out to the talk, he will not allow it. "If they care about immunity runs, they will go for me." The bearded assassin doesn't care. "You'll be fine until there's seven left. I'm out there, and Kabal…"

"…"

"You're sneaky. That's all I've got."

"Maybe they'll vote for me just to throw you off."If I'm THAT much of a threat…" Kabal responds, aware he's a target. Tremor steps back into the convo. "Then play it on yourself if you must."

"They don't trust a word I say. Could be better to play it on me." Kano says.

"Again, they could be swerving us." Kabal snaps back. "You're too obvious of a choice."

"What if I'm not?"

"Then we're f*cked."

Kabal: Tremor's a lucky guy. He doesn't have to worry at all, they barely even spoke about him. I do. If I play this wrong and go home, my clan's never letting me hear the end of it.

Besides the idol, there's more to discuss.

"Between all the four, who do we go for?" Tremor asks. "They are coming for us, so we must hit them harder." Kabal has a name in mind. "Matt. He threw me out, I'm throwing him out."

Kano doesn't agree. "Matt talks to everyone, he'll flip if we come at him strong enough. Dee and Toriel are our biggest problem." Throwing the Fatu under the bus. "Dee's a small fry who follows that goat around like a puppy. A goat who brought up this 'power alliance' in the first place."

"Toriel may be a threat, but Matt can keep immunity from us. Keeping him in will hurt us more." Tremor suggests.

"We don't know who the challenge threats are until the merge." Kano standing his ground.

"Just because he speaks nice to you, does not mean he is a friend." Tremor says, making a point.

First Kano and Kabal were clashing for a bit, now it's Kano and Tremor. Could they come to a consensus before the night's over? We'll see.

Despite the fact the Roku/Fatu alliance and the Black Dragon have their own plans set up, only one plan would win out over the other.

Tribal Council

Night 20

The seven Foka head to seven stumps, a fire pit in front of it, and Jeff Probst standing there with his hands behind his back. The first Foka Tribal ever since the swap, and unfortunately for someone, their journeys will get cut short.

"Welcome back. Dip your torches into the fire. Fire represents your life, and once it's gone, so are you."

The seven Foka take a seat, and Tribal Council is set to begin.

"Alright. This is your first Tribal Council in a while. From what I saw at the challenge, it seems like you wanted this. Am I right, Matt?" Jeff asks.

"It's not our best at all. But sometimes we don't NEED to win challenges. It hurts my pride to say that, but strategy can beat physicality. Like brains versus brawn." Matt says, making an analogy.

"You say strategy over physicality, I say we move from physicality to strategy. You've had ALOT of time to strategize. Kabal, how many plans do you think are in the air?" The host asks.

"Fourteen."

"Fourteen? Isn't that too big?"

"Everyone has a real plan, and a fake one. Tonight we'll all find out which one's real." Kabal responds. The host sets his focus on an ally of his.

"Kano, it sounds like people are taking charge. Do those people threaten you at all?" Jeff asks.

"I'd be keeping my eye on people who aren't." He turns to the waddle dee. "The type to hide behind somebody, and get the scraps later." He really just called him out like that.

"Dee, he just called you out. Thoughts?"

"That's not who I am! If I like you, I am loyal until the end. Why would I want to team with someone I don't like?" The waddle dee asks.

"Maybe that's what you want us to think." Why was Kano doing this?!

"Kano…do you like me at all?" The waddle dee just put him on blast. All eyes fall on him, awaiting an answer. "First you call me a 'pet', and now you're calling me out? I thought we had a deal?" Bandana Dee has had enough.

"Our deal went out the window when you four went against me." BOOM. This Tribal has just opened up. "You people should've checked harder." WOW. Kano needs to thank the elder gods for checking on his fake deals BEFORE catching Roku/Fatu. Or else…this would be really awkward. In good news, Jeff has more to dig in to.

"So what you're saying..is it's the three of you against the world."

"It was since we swapped. They saw a majority of three and shivered." Kano responds, but some in the majority fight back. "We believed you were suspicious, and after comparing notes, we were right." Toriel reveals, showing where Kano messed up. "You used deals to pit us against each other, yet all you've done here is turn us against you." The goat's not holding back.

"It's a game, Tori."

"Don't 'Tori' me."

"I'll say what a please sweetheart."

Ew. D*ckish as usual from him. Jeff even jumps in. "At a Tribal like this, the way you're talking is not going to help you get out of this." The assassin shrugs it off. "It's just the way I am."

"It's one of the reasons you are in this spot." Toriel snaps back. "You talk down to people. Not to mention you spied on us, which is reasonable given you are on the bottom. But you must understand that will make people weary of you."

While the goat and assassin go back and forth, Matt whispers something to Li Mei…who whispers the info to the waddle dee.

"Whispers going around.." Jeff points out, but Kano brushes that off too. "They're changing their target." Quite an observation. The Mii whispers a name to Toriel, who nods, and all eyes fall back on the man who kicked off Tribal: Jeff. "Has everyone said their piece?" he asks, and nobody has anything to say. Words would be thrown around later if the vote was messy enough.

"We'll see which plan beats the other, because it is time to vote. Toriel, you're up first."

The goat heads to the voting booth, with two names in mind.

.

.

.

Toriel: As disrespectful as you are, my vote won't be going to you. (?)

Matt: We gotta play this smart. (?)

Kano: It's a shame you aren't puppets. Love the challenge, sweetheart. (?)

.

.

.

The seven Foka head back to their stumps after the voting is finished. When they're all set, Jeff's ready to get on with the Tribal. "I'll tally the votes…"

While he fetches the voting urn, everyone keeps their eyes on him. There was a few variables to consider. Which side covered the right ones?

Jeff returns to the podium with his urn in hand. "If anyone has a hidden immunity idol or advantage, and would like to play it, now would be the time to do so…"

.

.

.

"Alri—"

"Jeff."

Kabal stands up, and pulls that idol right out. He stops right before the podium, and looks back at his six tribe members. "Hmm…"

What's the move?

"..I'm playing it on me." He hands Jeff the idol and heads back to his stump. Kano leans down to whisper.

"I hope it pays off."

"It will."

Jeff raises the idol, and gives the verdict. "This IS an immunity idol. Any votes for Kabal will not count." The waddle dee looks at the ground, and Tremor catches it. He leans towards Kano. "Your foolishness may pay off."

"Love you too."

Jeff has the seven parchment in a neat stack. He's ready to flip the first one. "First vote…"

Kabal. Will not count.

Kabal claps for himself at the save. Toriel looks to Matt.

"Our plan failed."

"We'll come back stronger."

Jeff flips the next parchment.

Kabal. Will not count.

Kano has a smirk on his face.

Kabal. Will not count.

.

.

.

Kabal. Will not count.

All of their votes, negated. Now? The fate of someone in the Roku/Fatu alliance would be determined.

.

.

.

Matt. One vote Matt.

The Mii turns to his alliance with two words: "play hard." Jeff flips the next parchment…

.

.

.

Toriel. One vote Matt, one vote Toriel, one vote left…

The waddle Dee's eyes widen. "Wait…" the goat pats his back. "Let them know what happened tonight."

The Mii rubs his bald head, a window of escape suddenly open.

.

.

"Seventh person voted out of Survivor: Fight for Fiji..Toriel. Bring me your torch."

She grabs her torch and turns to her alliance. "Don't be sad. Stay strong, you will need all your strength for this next phase." The goat walks up to Jeff and sets her torch down.

Kano turns to the alliance. "Thought you'd pull a quick one? Let's see how you do without your mommy around." He turns away with a chuckle, as the Mii puts a hand on the waddle dee's shoulders. "It's not worth it."

While this is happening behind Toriel, she awaits that snuff.

"Toriel.."

He raises his snuffer.

"The tribe has spoken."

SNUFF

"Time for you to go."

She turns back to her tribe and waves goodbye. "We'll miss you." The waddle dee says, and Toriel leaves the Tribal area, making her exit in 12th place. Matt shakes his head, and that catches the concern of Li Mei. "Do not blame yourself. We couldn't have seen that coming." The Mii only has five words: "Like I said, he's smart."

The remaining six Foka face Jeff, who has last words for them. "Tonight tells me that plans aren't always set in stone. They can change any time. It's all about taking risks. Head back to camp, good night." With the host's dismissal, the six take their torches and leave the area, headed into the night where business…wasn't finished. Thanks to someone acting up, the drama doesn't end here.

Toriel's Final Words

Toriel: We should have stuck to our Kano vote, but Matt switched it to Kabal at the last second. I cannot blame him, Kano seemed too obvious. Yet, Kabal made the call to use it on himself. It was a nice move, even I can admit that, but the target will only grow bigger on them, so hopefully this was worth it.

Votes:

Kabal (doesn't count)— Toriel, Matt, Li Mei, Bandana Dee

Toriel— Kano and Tremor

Matt— Kabal

Confessional Count:

22– Sonic ( + 2), Gordon ( + 2), Kano ( + 5)

21– Matt ( + 2)

20– Little Mac ( + 1)

18– Blu ( + 1), Luigi ( + 1)

17– Kabal ( + 4)

15– Tremor ( + 2)

14– Bandana Waddle Dee ( + 1)

12– Li Mei ( + 1)

Eliminated:

18– Toriel ( + 3)

12– Kristine, Monty Mole

10– Red

9– Infinite

5– Nelson, Claptrap

Toriel's out in a 4–2–1 vote, one off of a 3–2–1. She could have made it far with her connections to the Fatu Four and Matt, but the Black Dragon seemed to agree earlier that Toriel was the move. Then again, her talk with Kano at Tribal may have had some influence. Matt was scared there for a second lol.
