Chapter 14 A History With Issei world
All the Matriarchs ponder what Issei had declared. The area became quiet, the lack of speaking from many of the Matriarchs, and it was a tranquil day with no clouds in the sky. As the aspen trees around them held no wildlife to make surrounding noise. Silence started to settle in among them all. Issei felt he had said the wrong thing. Would they hate him, would he disappoint them? Issei felt his breath hitch. Magnus had been monitoring Issei's emotions and soul sure enough he told the truth.
Magnus was at a loss for words she was surprised that could ever happen to her. Issei wasn't lost out of time, he was stranded in a completely different world. Fulgrim burst into laughter.
"Oh come on now boy you surely take us for fools." Fulgrim said laughing at Issei.
"He's telling the truth." Mangus said. Horus had gone into deep thought. This information was groundbreaking and all of them held their opinions. Experiments that dealt with dimensional existence were strictly forbidden by the Emperor himself. Though all of them thought the very idea was more fantasy than reality. Rogal and Perturabo were both people of fact. This was to be expected from them but they required all information before making any assumptions.
Many of the others wanted to know everything Issei knew immediately. Guilliman had patiently taken a seat on the round table. The knowledge of knowing that there's something beyond their universe couldn't play dangerous implications as well.
Magnus wanted to know more as her hands twitched with excitement. Issei looked at all of them, seeing how this shocked them. Only one in the group had focused on the second thing he said. Mortarion had gripped her scythe with great uneasiness. This Issei was somehow a devil, a being of evil and cruel intent. Her voice cut through the air like a knife hitting flesh.
"Explain yourself." Mortarion spoke to Issei. He felt the venom in her voice seep into him. "What do you mean a devil?"
Issei needs to explain this subject carefully and any slip-up in words could result in all these guys getting the wrong idea. All of them wonder why he said devil except for a few who were there to understand his story. Angron, Konrad, and Lorgar knew why though Issei would never acknowledge it; he was a slave to a supernatural cause. Issei looked at Rogal giving a sad expression.
"Rogal do you remember when I first met you I didn't have my arm." Issei said.
Fulgrim scoffed at the Issei remark she thought mockingly.
"Now you surely take me for a fool now boy you can lie to all of them but trying to lie to Rogal is almost impossible." Fulgrim thought with devilish aggression.
"Yes, I remember Issei you were missing, and I was going to ask how you got one now." Rogal committed. Horus wondered when the question would be answered; it was the first thing Rogal said about him being a defining detail so they would never miss him. Fulgrim felt like dropping her jaw in surprise. Rogal then wanted to know where this subject was leading to.
"Well I lost it when I was a devil and I wasn't on a walk in the park. Yay, I was in the park but I was there to do one thing." Issei said, his tone of voice turning more somber.
"What were you there for Issei?" Rogal asked.
"I was there to make myself stronger." Issei said. Ferrus understands that the strongest would always make the rules. Rogal herself felt this was more than a training session.
"I'll start from the beginning, you see I've lived on earth. I went to high school and if I'm being completely honest I was a loser," Issei said. Fulgrim smirked at the comment.
"Yes you are a loser but a handsome devil- DAMMIT! it happens again." Fulgrim thought in anger. Angron would not have Issei speak about himself like that he needs to learn to respect himself again. Angron was about to speak when Sanguinius spoke first.
"Issei never belittle yourself in front of others again you're better than that." Sanguinius said. Issei was caught off guard by the comment.
"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to-" Issei tried to say only to be cut off by Rogal.
"Issei the story." Rogal reminded Issei. He nodded at Rogal; he needed to get back at the topic at hand.
"Okay, so one day a girl asked me out one day." Issei said only for Fulgrim to groan. While many of the others had confused looks on their faces. Horus didn't mind at all.
"Everyone please understand Issei is only trying to give us the full story." Horus said.
"But do we really have to know about Issei's love life?" Fulgrim said. However, Vulkan wanted to hear Issei's love story. There could be great hope and care in Issei's life so why not see it? Vulkan thought maybe Issei's universe was different from how they showed love.
"Look it's important, I mean I wasn't the best person back then and I wasn't that popular at all. I thought this was the best thing to happen to me. Her name was Raynare and when the day came for our date it was going to be the best day of my life. I slaved every minute to make it perfect." Issei said in a great caring tone of voice. Vulkan thought what a lucky girl she must have been to meet someone like Issei to fall in love with. Perturabo wondered how Issei made the date grand and perfect. Konrad and Angron knew who Issei was talking about that monster that scarred him for life. Konrad wished she could have found the real one just so she could deliver her brand of justice. Sanguinius could tell just by how Issei's happy voice showed how much it meant to him.
"Then at the end of that perfect day, we met at a fountain where she had something to ask me so I listened and she asked me if I would die for her." Issei said, his eyes expressing nothing but somber sadness. Mortarion recognizes those same eyes on Issei now that devastated look of true pain. It was the same expression she would make when her adopted father experimented on her with those damn experiments.
"She then drove a spear of light through my chest." Issei said.
A somber silence took over for every matriarch held their tongue out of surprising information. They did it trying to make sure their ears had not deceived them. The kind-hearted Vulkan felt her fist clenched as the white hair on her head started to turn into a bright burning blue. Vulkan's eyes started to glow with rage.
"What did she do?" Vulkan asked in pure rage.
Horus had to be the most sensible one and gave Issei a concerned gaze.
"Issei what did you say, forgive us the story might have disarmed us." Horas asked. Issei could see the surprise in their eyes.
"Yay she impaled me on a spear made of light it turns out she wasn't even human she was a fallen angel. You see where I'm from, gods, angels, devils, dragons, and monsters of all kinds exist." Issei said. Many had wondered why this creature would do such a thing. Russ had stood by the wooden table and gripped the table making hand imprints on the furniture. Fulgrim could see no deceit in his voice which made the story all the more heartbreaking. Rogal hated this universe already finding it to have a lack of order and an uncivilized theme. The Lion's intrigue in this world skyrocketed, as far as anyone else, if any others found out about this world it would be a mountainous amount of potential for new resources. Magnus had to quit her excitement with so much new information at once. Russ could help but smile if Issei had survived such a powerful attack then he was way tougher than he looked.
"So you must be very tough to get out of that one." Russ jested to try and lighten up the mood. Issei's face only expressed more downtroddenness. Mortarion knew that look on Issei's face. Rogal could see it as well.
"No, I actually died from my wound." Issei said. Fulgrim had gawked at Issei's words. Magnus's single eye widened in surprise for this was the truth. Rogal looked at Magnus for any confirmation of the answer only for Magnus's stunned expression to answer her questions.
Perturabo did the same as unease started to enter her mind. Ferris wanted to know how Issei was standing right in front of them right now. What was keeping him all alive? Konrad could see an uncomfortable look on Issei's face.
"Issei what is wrong?" Konrad asked. Issei gave them his full attention towards them. Angron hated seeing those somber eyes caused by those monsters. Lorgar felt a deep seed of malice for these gods. She now understood the harm religion can bring. No wonder the Emperor was against it. Issei spoke with a somber voice.
"Sorry, every time I think about it I get nervous, when you die like that you feel a cold,-"
"Alone and like death is gripping your heart even though it stopped beating." Mortarion said finishing Issei's sentence. Issei had gazed at Mortarion with astonished eyes at how accurate she got it. Mortarion just by looking into Issei's somber eyes felt a kindred discomfort. Issei let a sad chuckle escape his lips.
"Guessing you've had some experience too?" Issei said. Mortarion's eyes soften at Issei.
"Unfortunately yes but there is strength in the struggle," Mortarion said. "So what manner of evil brought you back?"
"Well you see here's what happened to me after. I died and a Rias a devil who was also at my school brought me to life, she had to reincarnate me into a devil. I was turned into a devil." As soon as the words left his lips the Lion yelled outraged that the very action even existed.
"WHAT! THESE VILE CREATURES HAD NO CONCERN IN YOUR MATTERS THESE FALLEN ANGELS AND BASTARD DEVILS SHALL FACE THE WRATH OF HUMANITY." The Lion yelled, shocking everyone that she lost her composure that easily at the topic at hand. The Lion knew that death was sacred. Any attempts to deface it or vandalize the sacred act of nature disgusted the Lion to her core. All of the matriarchs thought the same. These barbaric Xenos must be put to a stop in their tempering in humanity. Issei didn't want them to get the wrong idea and quickly spoke up.
"Wait it wasn't like that, Rias did it to save me." Issei said, hoping to calm their furious moods. Angron then spoke up as Issei was worried about trying not to start a war with another universe.
"Yet you still defend them Issei why?" Angron asked, her voice sounding a bit hurt that Issei was still on their side.
"Angron please you have to understand they took me in they-"
"Put you in a life as a slave, Issei you owe them nothing, not your life, not your loyalty, and certainly not you," Angron said in an angry tone of voice. Corvus had looked at Angron with a very concerned look. The Khan silently gave her attention to Angron and Mortarion lend her ear to Angron as well.
"Angron, what are you talking about?" Corvus asked. Issei began to worry about Rias' reputation among the matriarchs.
"Issei has yet to say it but when humans are reincarnated as devils they are servants to an upper class of devil, a slave." Angron said.
"They never treated me like that, Angron," Issei responded in great haste. Corvus, already seeing Issei, was lost in these devil tricks.
"And the only reason they do that is to replenish the numbers they lost in the great war." After Issei said that he covered his mouth in regret seeing how he might have spilled the beans. Mortarion had gripped her scythe hard at these devils. They were hiding in the shadow treating people like a resource just so they could save their dying race.
"What despicable bastards," Mortarion said as every word of her tongue was toxic.
"Then what of the others you said that suffer worse fates than you, the ones who didn't want to be a so-called servant?" Angron asked Issei, wanting him to say the answer. To admit what dark things these devils hid. The Khan and Mortarion were liberators to their core and any form of oppression in their area would not be tolerated. Issei felt backed into a corner. Horus could see as well.
"Issei what do they do to rogue devils who don't serve their master." Horus asked. Issei held his head down, his hair shadowing over his eyes.
"They set up a bounty and are put down, the evil piece used to reincarnate the devil is taken back to the master." Issei said many of the Matriarchs were disgusted at the news. The Khan already disliked this being. Guilliman quietly studied and listened to every word Issei said.
"Issei, how much power do they hold over your planet." Guilliman asked. Issei knew the answer.
"Well, most of the supernatural world hides from the public eye sensor and controls any information about them. They only do it to not cause panic in the public." Issei said only for Guilliman to help.
"Aw I see, so they manipulate the government from the shadows but I'm guessing there is more to it than we understand?" Guilliman said out of a lot of sisters she didn't view other sentient species with such contempt. Guilliman was organized and rather traded to understand other species in hopes of furthering humanity. The way Issei talked about the devil was amazing, the fact they had such technology could be a stepping stone to ending the great crusade. Magnus was enticed to know so much about these various miscellaneous world-changing things. She must get to Issei and ask as many things as she can. Though the Scarlet queen felt uneasy within Issei. Russ's eyes became cold and gripped her battle ax.
"Cowards!" Russ shouted.
Guilliman needed to know more about his government system to think it looked like the topic was changing.
"Issei, why do they turn people into devils?" Guilliman asked.
"Well they were recovering from a great war, that happen a while back all of the major factions suffered a lot of casualties so they had to resort to turning to-."
"Humans to replenish their numbers." Khan finished Issei's sentence. Mortarion was boiling with rage at how these devils treated humanity like cattle to be raised and stripped from what they are from the very beginning. Vulkan wanted to cleanse this world from any of these devils' touch. Corvus felt a very strong urge to free this world. Horus knew there was more to the story but one-word issei said that brought her attention.
"Factions?" Horus asked.
"Oh yay you see yay there are devils but there are many other factions as well, like fallen angels, vampires, and small supernatural factions gathering together to make their own." Issei said calmly. The Khan felt her heart skip a beat in Excitement for all these new creatures to be hunted and what challenges would they bring for her. Lorgar had enough as she angrily gripped her hand.
"Issei was there any god that wanted to help mankind reach the stars." Lorgar said.
The group had become quiet. Issei could see the turmoil in her eyes and how her faith was shaken. Ferrus was annoyed by Lorgar's question; many of the others didn't enjoy Lorgar's company, thinking of her to be a religious zealot. Guilliman thought her sister was a man-child. Perturabo looked to Mangus to see if Issei was lying only for her fellow sister to acknowledge her doubt with a nod.
"Well to be honest there was one," Issei said. Corvus wanted to know the truth about how these supreme beings and how they acted toward humanity. The knowledge of knowing that there is something out there beyond the Milky Way galaxy was already groundbreaking. Lorgar was on the edge of her seat; she needed to hear the truth as to what divine truth there was. Russ also was keen to hear this information; she did love a good tale.
"We just called him God the holy father." Issei said. Perturabo scoffed at the name. Lorgar engraved that information into her very mind. Fulgrim rolled her eyes.
"Some Idiot had to come up with that name, not like Issei I mean his name is so exotic that he just rolls off my tongue like honey- Oh for the love of the throne it's happening again." Fulgrim thought.
"Okay well you see during the great war between the Devils, angels, and fallen angels humanity was caught in the crossfire so God decided to give humans weapons to defend themselves they were called sacred gears weapons of unimaginable power." Issei said.
Lorgar felt her hopes rise and there was finally a saving grace to this nightmare hell. There was a truth that could help humanity rise. The truth was all that mattered to her. The Lion and Ferris both had their attention on these sacred gears. Vulkan wanted to know how these weapons were constructed.
"Where is he now?" Lorgar asked with optimism in her voice. Issei's face became somber.
"He's dead," Issei said quietly then looked toward Lorgar to see her world shattered. Issei knew that look on Lorgar's face as a nun friend had the same look when she received the news. "And I mean dead, gone, and never coming back sorry Lorgar."
Issei immediately saw that sadness turned into rage as she gritted her teeth. Lorgar for the life of her held her rage these animals were not Divine spirits but parasites who needed humanity to live and a rouge idea spread through her mind like wildfire that all religions needed people to survive not the other way around.
Perturabo had a million questions for Issei; her logic would have surely set Issei on the right path.
"How does a god die there supposed to be all-powerful? It means nothing, all this world means nothing and the only one who would be worthy of praise is Issei- wait Issei even though he was a devil but still had a human heart. Issei was human. What does it mean?" Lorgar thought.
"I think we are all getting off-topic," Rogal said. Her commanding voice reached the others, gaining most of their attention. Magnus wanted to object though shortly agreed to her words. Rogal turned to Issei with a cold gaze.
"How did you get here." Rogal command. She did not ask because her tone of voice was too strict to sound like a question. Angron could tell it was hard for Issei to talk about it and deeply wanted to run over to him. She wanted to push back that depression and tragedy that lay within him. But must learn to fight and that way he can overcome it.
Issei knew this question was coming so with a deep breath he looked Rogal back in the eyes unafraid, to tell the truth. Rogal felt that emotional strength was coming right toward her.
"Alright, Issei you got this, time to tell the truth." Issei thought.
"Okay, I wasn't in a good state mentally. You see we had to fight a rogue god named Loki who was trying to bring Ragnarok. It's basically the end of the world. We won but I was severely injured and he was able to put a curse on me, the curse would take my trauma when I was first killed by the fallen angel, it would just be a repeat and how I failed." Issei said his breath became a little shaky. Many of the matriarchs could tell it was hard for him to tell his story but all of them could understand what it was like to be without hope and gave Issei their patients. Sanguinius jittered to her wings at Issei's uneasy past.
"It must be very traumatic for him." Sanguinius thought as Issei phased a bit in his words. Issei regains his senses.
"At the time I had a sacred gear called the Red Dragon Emperor Gauntlet that allows the user to double their strength every ten seconds." Issei said many of them had their mouths gaped at the information.
"That's amazing!" Vulkan said.
Rogal remained unimpressed no matter how impressive the weapon was, it all depended on the person wielding it rather than the power it held. Skill trumps power any day.
"It sounds like there could be drawbacks to your weapon stamina being the key issue," Rogal said. Issei nodded at Rogal's words.
"Yes there are some drawbacks but one day I lost a major rating game for my peerage and well I took the loss pretty hard." Issei let out in a sad voice. Konrad's eyes borrowed into Issei as he could tell he was Diverting the blame onto himself.
"Don't you mean your peerage took it too personally?" Konrad said. Issei flinched at the comment. Issei knew it wasn't their fault it was all this damn curse's fault, which in the end he believed was because he allowed it to hurt me.
"Besides it was my fault that curse twisted me, not there's," Issei said. Horus wanted to know why the blame was on him but that could wait. Perturabo honestly wanted to know more about Issei's personal life as well. What did their architectural art look like? Guilliman had one question on her mind.
"Issei what is a rating game." Guilliman asked. Issei felt his throat dry up in worry if they knew about rating games what would they say?
"Well, you see when devils' houses have a conflict with each other or have a disagreement to work out they fight each other in a grand battle each member's peerage of the houses is represented by a chest piece, if you defeat the king of the game who is the head of the house you win." Issei nervously said, trying to not dissuade them from devil kind. They were superhuman beings who had armies at their call. Not to mention there's probably a bunch of spaceships they control. Issei had to make this go smoothly for supernatural races. Guilliman's face had disappointment written all over it. Rogal always respected strength but hated needless violence.
"But also rating games can raise your political power in the underworld and I lost the most important one," Issei said his voice tone becoming sad. "After we got home. They were going to send me to a training facility and I didn't want to so I ran from them. I thought that if I boosted myself greatly that I would make myself stronger, I was wrong." Issei said sadly only for his attention to be brought to Russ as she glared coldly at Issei.
"Issei if you want to get stronger then never cut corners again but I can see you've already learned your lesson." Russ said. Issei gave a respectful nod to her.
"Yes, I understand," Issei said, then politely stopped bowing. "But after that my sacred gear was pushed out of my soul. I passed out and my arm was missing, I woke up in this strange world then I met Konrad." Issei said as he finally took a deep breath. He finally got the weight off his chest. Issei hoped that he made a good impression on all of them. Well, he did worry about Alpharius; he hoped she was okay even with her strange arua. Then Rogal looked at Issei with calm eyes.
"We appreciate your honesty Issei. It is just gonna take a while for us to process the information you gave us." Rogal said, going into deep thought. Many of them did the same as one burning question was on their mind.
Would the great crusade reach into Issei's universe?
The Lion mused at the idea she wouldn't mind demonstrating to these false angels what a true angel of death looked like.
Magnus could tell Issei was telling the truth but he wasn't lying, only withholding information. Magnus needed to deliver a psychic message to Issei without them noticing. Magnus had a grand trick pulled up her sleeve.
"Sister! allow me to comb through his words one more time just to make sure the truth was said." Magnus said. Horus and Sanguinius both gave a glance at each other for confirmation. Russ had eyes on her like an arrow hitting the target. Magnus walked to Issei, kneeling to meet his gaze. Issei wonders what he left out and like a thunderbolt, an epiphany struck him, Issei forgot to bring up Que. Issei's eyes were alight with worry. Magnus brought out her hand as purple energy formed between her fingertips as he watched as reality bent around the scarlet queen's hands.
"Do not panic boy." Magnus's voice said within Issei's mind. Issei had girls always on his mind but never in it. He felt like piping out in panic but gladly held it so he could keep a cool composure.
"I know you have mostly told the truth but you're leaving out some important details and when we're alone I will gladly be informed. Do not worry Issei, I am an ally and you have more life-changing information than you know." Magnus said in Issei's mind. Magnus stood up and gave Issei a sly wink. She turned around to face her sisters.
"He has told us nothing but the truth that there are other universes." Magnus announced in a grand superior voice. Russ stood up and looked at Issei.
"Wait, there's still one more topic at hand." Russ shouted. The Khan had also known what Russ was talking about. Though one spike for any other as the Lion looked to Angron.
"Yes, why is Angron so calm?" The Lion asked. Angron had smirked at them all she was going to love their expressions to what they were going to learn. Angron had heard Issei speak enough it was time for her to take center stage and assist him. She walked in front of all her sisters. The Lion rose her eyebrow at Angron. Mangus had ready a stunning spell to hold Angron in case she tried to kill Issei again.
"Angron what are you doing?." The Lion asked.
"I feel it will be better if you had both answers to the story," Angron said in a calm voice with no ounce of rage in it. All of the matriarchs were stunned by how calm she was and by Fulgrim's eyes Angron looked had a healthy glow. Issei smiled as Angron was standing near he was happy not to be alone. However, before Angron could speak Rogal spoke first.
"Wait there is still one thing I want to know before you continue your story Angron and I must say your new health glow is a massive improvement," Rogal said. Angron was surprised by the compliment and she didn't know what to say. Rogal turned towards Konrad.
"I would like you to retail our supposed futures, Konrad?" Rogal said. Almost everyone was fully aware of Konrad's future vision but never took her claims all too seriously. Though Fulgrim had her worries about her well-being, ever since they got to this world Konrad had been acting strange. Konrad looked around her to see all eyes on her and she took a long sigh.
"All right then let me just concentrate, I need some time." Konrad said. Rogal nodded and in the meantime, Angron decided to speak up.
"I will now explain why I kidnapped Issei," Angron said all the matriarchs probably knew the reason to kill him and extend their maroon on this planet. The Lion then spoke up to answer Angron.
"Yes it's obvious you kidnapped him and we're going to kill him but you didn't. That's the question we're all wondering why did you run." The Lion said. Angron then calmly glanced to her side to see Issei by her side with a happy smirk. Angron sighed and calmly accepted what she did.
"Yes I did try to kill Issei and in doing so destroyed Rogal camp but in doing so Issei removed my butcher's nails and freed me from my mutilated mind." Angron said.
The matriarchs you were unaware of this information jaws dropped as the piece where begging put together right in front of their eyes. Angron the red angel was freed from her shackles. Fulgrim and Ferris had both felt such relief for Angron. Magnus could not help but gaze at Issei for bringing their sister into a healthy mind. Horus already knew but still smiles at the revelation. Issei had unburdened the imperium of man. The Khan and Mortarion both felt a sense of respect for Issei for liberating Angron from her prolonged torture. The Lion could only have one thought upon her mind.
"Issei, I will personally escort you to my legion. I could use a good warrior like you." The Lion thought. She knew his power must be checked and The Lion was in charge of all major weapons.
Corvus had gone into deep thought about Issei, a being from another universe capable of curing an injury that not even the father of the emperor was capable of. She might as well have been dropping her jaw to the floor at this point. Fulgrim looked at Issei only wanting to know why she was thinking like this.
Fulgrim thought deeply. She then felt a deep jealousy boil within her. Fulgrim had made a rival today and Issei will lose. Sanguinius stood in front of Issei before any words could be shed she knelt to him and joyfully smiled at him. Most of the sisters would never do an action but Sanguinius was different.
"Thank you, Issei, you have done so much for us but we only ask if you can help us." She said as her bright blue eyes gazed into Issei amber.
"Of course, I'll help you guys. I promised Rogal to help all of you guys get back home and my word is everything." Issei quickly reassured them that he wanted to help them. All of the matriarchs that held honor close to their heart respected Issei. Rogal's lips made a calm smile. She was glad he was still so strong-willed about his promise. Sanguinius smiled at Issei and slowly stood up.
"Well then allow me to advise you Issei when we get back to the imperium I would like to award you, anything you truly desire," Sanguinius asked. Issei shyly scratches the back of his head. Sanguinius gave him a curious glance. "Surely there must be something you want?"
"Well to be honest I just want to go back to my dimension, I still have a family to go back to, I'm starting to miss my mom and dad." Issei said honestly. Sanguinius smiled at his kind heart. Vulkan and Corvus knew what that pain away from family was like.
"You should not worry Issei, if you were capable of coming here then surely you are capable of going back." Rogal replies giving Issei some hope to him. Rogal was returning the kindness that Issei would always give to them. Angron then chuckled at Issei.
"What are you laughing about?" Fulgrim asked.
Issei's eyes widen in horror. He told Angron his dream about having a harem.
"Oh no, they're gonna think I'm a freak, well goodbye to having any normal association at all." Issei thought then he blushed in embarrassment.
"Oh nothing, it's just that Issei said he had a dream once." Angron said. Issei's face was becoming red hot.
"Angron it's nothing, let's just move on, it's nothing too big ehehehehes," Issei said, while awkwardly laughing, trying to shove it aside however, that proved to be his downfall as all the matriarchs felt their interests peeking even. Sanguinius actually wanted to know so his effort was not in vain and also wanted to establish a good political relationship with this other universe.
"Issei, can you tell us what it is?" Sanguinius asked. Issei kept his lips shut as a mighty bright blush appeared on his face.
"Issei wishes to have multiple romantic partners in a harem. You see he is very alone and suffers trauma from his betrayal -"
"Angron!" Issei shouted as he was embarrassed about it, especially with giant women who could probably send him home in a body bag. Angron could see Issei's furious red blush.
Angron didn't understand why Issei was embarrassed about it; they would not just judge him on his sexuality; they were above that. Konrad hid her blush under her helmet as her vision now made sense as to why Angron was in her future. Konrad then slowly realized if Angron was in her visions, who else was gonna be in Issei's future? Issei looked around expecting harsh glances and sickening looks only to be met with nothing. A lot of the matriarchs didn't truly care about who you loved, only what kind of person you are.
Issei for the first time thought he was dreaming there was no reaction at all.
"Hmm so you seek love, well I'm sure there are many cable women in the imperium who would gladly lead aid to you. I mean you're a very great person I don't see why not." Sanguinius said, giving a sly wink. Issei was speechless; his lifelong dream was within his grasp. This was a dream come true so why didn't he feel happy? Sanguinius then could see the conflict in his eyes.
"Hey maybe I would want something else than that, it just doesn't feel right." Issei said with an honest, sad smile.
Sanguinius and many of the others could see Issei didn't want lust but companionship. Vulkan felt glad that Issei was admitting so many personal feelings about himself. Russ understood Issei want for companionship, especially after the tortures he went through.
Fulgrim oddly gave Issei a little sympathy but it quickly changed into envy. Corvus looked into his eye knowing Issei wanted a family just by his lonely eyes. Though almost all of the matriarchs knew what it was like to be alone in one way or the other. Not everyone was 8 feet to 12, they were demi-gods of war and were created by an emperor god-like being so it made it hard to find friends.
"I understand however I couldn't help but notice you wooing Angron perhaps that was another reason for your kidnapping. Angron was surely lonely." Sanguinius sassily suggested.
Issei and Angron blushed; they had to look away from each other to avoid awkward eye contact. Fulgrim smirked at the two expressions only confirming more about their relationship.
"Well, who would have known only love can tame the savage beast?" Fulgrim said with a smirking smile. Russ could not help but laugh at the two.
"Well you two just get it over with and bone each other you're killing me here Ahaahhaah." Russ laughed, making the two only blush more. The Khan knew despite their size were very much capable of making love to normal men and she has a heavy amount of experience to know. The Khan thought perhaps she could lend some tips to Angron to not accidentally break or crush anything in the bedroom. Both of them were blushing a storm of red cheeks. Rogal meanwhile had enough.
"Sister, we must stay on topic. There's still one more topic that needs to be addressed, Issei's strange power." Rogal said. The Lion nodded in agreement, Ferrus gruffly approved and Horus wanted to see how much destructive capability he was capable of. Issei smiled as he crossed his arms.
"Yay my new powers are pretty amazing I'm calling it, shadow up." Issei said proudly. He was met with bord shares and loud groans. Russ spoke out first.
"That's the worst name I've heard in my life." Russ said. Vulkan was a master blacksmith, a maker of destructive weapons even though she had to admit that was the silliest name she ever heard. Fulgrim began laughing at Issei with a mocking laugh Angron whispered to Issei.
"Told you it's a ridiculous name." Issei facepalmed. This was not the reaction that he was expecting but he had to roll with the punches. Lorgar then took a long sigh Issei had the powers of a god and he had to give such a ridiculous name.
"Okay well it turns out my curse was still within me at the time, still whispering things and frankly it was going to kill me and escape and try to kill all of you." Issei said the room went silent. "That was one of the reasons I didn't want to come back to you guys, that I was putting you guys in danger and I would not allow that."
Many of the matriarchs understood Issei's action but in reality, even if the curse was freed while all of them were still near him it wouldn't have walked a single step to life.
"So when did your power occur, it sounds like you lost your secret gear which means there's something else inside of you." The Lion deduced as her hand rested on the handle of her sword.
"Well, when Angron first tried to attack me I didn't want to die so while she was strangling me I touched her hand and a light came from it and entered her mind." Issei said out loud, noticing a lot of his powers activated when he was in. Angron thought it was strange that he wasn't bringing up his dreams though the only word that came to her mind was Que.
"It's true, the curse was a nasty creature. She was the one who put a hole in my armor." Lorgar admitted. Ferris had wondered where the hole came from, that armor could stop a bolter round it melted like paper. Issei felt bad that Lorgar had to suffer at its hands. He apologetically bowed to her.
"I'm so sorry that my mistake led to you getting hurt. Please forgive me." Issei said. in fact, if it wasn't for her he wouldn't be standing here right now. Lorgar loved Issei's humble attitude.
"I forgive you Issei but the blame is not on you, it is on your gods." Lorgar said.
"So how did this curse come to the end." Magnus asked. Logan knew if she told it, ridicule and mockery would be no end.
"Lorgar saved my life she did this exorcism on me and freed me from my curse. Lorgar is really awesome and I cannot thank her enough." Issei said happily.
"She bravely tracked us down and confronted us." Angron said, "She also fought against the curse, saving Issei's life."
"Yes if not for her judgment to find them, I would have fought Angron on the spot, she decided to talk first to Angron rather than fight." Konrad said in what was assumed to be a respectful tone. Lorgar felt at a loss for words she was finally getting something she would never think to get from her family recognition, Lorgar respectfully smiled back and gave them all polite gestures. All the matriarchs have to agree she did help bring Angron back begrudgingly.
"Thank you." Lorgar said, she then switched her attention toward Issei. "Issei I thank you for showing me so much about your world and I would only like further my research with your permission of course."
Issei felt happy that Lorgar did not hate him, maybe things were starting to look up for him. Rogal shook her head again as they were going off-topic again. Issei had the same charisma as Horus and in her personal opinion, he definitely had the looks to do it. Horus also noticed Issei's swift positive personality; he surely would have made a good politician if given the chance.
"Issei, can you show us what you did to take the color out of this world?" Rogal said. Guilliman had wanted to know the same and how much surveillance was required for Issei. Issei found himself surprised, he knew when he activated his power color would be sucked away but the fact it reached the camp sounded crazy to Issei. The camp was miles away from where the grand tree was. The matriarchs could see the surprise in his eyes. They found his reaction discouraging, if he wasn't in control of his power then 24-hour supervision was needed for him.
"But I thought it took the color away only by a certain couple of feet." Issei said, unsure to really think of an answer. Sanguinius gently put her hand on Issei's shoulder.
"Issei when I soared into the clouds I couldn't see colors for miles even when I looked into the deep night sky it was robbed of its beauty." Sanguinius said in a somber tone of voice. Lorgar looked in shock to see how confused Issei was about the news.
"Issei you poor thing you do not know of the power you hold." Lorgar thought. Issei didn't understand that he didn't want them to be afraid of him. Issei then had an idea pop into his head.
"Hey let me show you guys something cool." Issei said, getting all of their attention. "You guys want to see my power, maybe a demonstration couldn't hurt."
Horus felt a little nervous but needed to know whether Issei was a Psyker. Since Magnus was here they would get an answer. Horus was not doubting Issei in fact, Magnus was telling them the truth. Rogal thought that maybe it would help in knowing where they were. All of them began to murmur amongst themselves
"Well, let's see it, Issei." All of them turned to see the Fulgrim wanting to see Issei do a trick.
"Let's see him do something, just one little trick couldn't hurt." Fulgrim suggested. Issei smiled at her words thinking Fulgrim was believing him. The truth is that Fulgrim was putting up a front wanting to see Issei fail to feel better about herself. Horus had to admit Fulgrim was right.
"Come on Issei, please show us something," Horus said In defeat. Issei felt himself get pumped up. He then placed a hand on his armed arm and ripped off the obsidian-like armor like it was soft rock. Issei didn't stop there as he began to tear and rip all of the armor, leaving him in his old worn down clothing. Issei then pointed at his armor.
"Ta-da!" Issei said as he cheerfully gestured to the pile of broken armor. Vulkan and Rogal knew where this was going and nodded at Issei's resourcefulness. Sanguiuins watched Issei thinking he certainly had the flair to be an entertainer. Fulgrim had an unimpressed look on her face.
"So your trick is to show us how your armor is poorly made." Fulgrim said.
The Lion then looked at the armor and pointed at it.
"Look." She said as her eyes were met with surprise.
The armor had served its purpose as the broken shattered pieces and cracked shelves of this majestic unknown metal slowly formed into shadows and faded away. All of them were shocked to feel no warp or any psychic energy. Though it didn't feel wrong to watch it. There was no crime against nature while watching it. It was like watching something you knew taking a new form. The shadows were given shape and their duty was done. Russ felt at odds with her opinion of what to think. She was always against Psyker but this was not the work of a psyker so should she hate it? Magnus felt herself excitingly gazing at Issei like a present to be opened.
Everyone had the information however what to do with Angron was the real question. Not many were not sure how to approach her for the berzerker that they once knew was gone. Horus had an idea in mind.
"Angron we'll you act against us." Horus asked.
"No." Angron said as she crossed her arms "Though I wish to roam the area of my free will."
Ferris snickered at the request thinking how could she demand anything after what she did.
"After what you did." Ferris said her arms crossed. Rogal could see this was not the same person who wanted Nothing more than destruction but someone who cared. Sanguinius then had an idea.
"I say yes only if she assists with the labor and is supervised by one of us." Sanguinius said seeing a lot of them could not argue with her words. Angron knew that was her only real deal to be free.
"I agree to that." Angron said in hey begrudging tone of voice
"So who shall watch over Angron?" Sanguinius asked. All of them went silent only for the kind-hearted voice of Vulcan to break the silence. Issei smiled at her knowing that if anyone should it would be her.
"I shall do it," Vulkan said. All of the other matriarchs were relieved and glad they didn't have to take the task upon themselves. Angron could finally get to talk to Vulkan personally. Horus could see things starting to wrap up as the sun started to drift into noon. Rogal knew she was already behind schedule and all important questions were answered.
"I say we have all much to think about, let us not forget our tasks at hand. Issei, thank you for sharing. You have given us a lot to think about." Rogal then calmly bowed back. "If you wish there is more food and water in the fortress, get some more rest as well."
The Lion began to walk away from the group and so did Perturabo as she walked away. Ferris had walked away while Fulgrim joined her.
"I guess the meetings adjourned." Horus said seeing how many of them were worrying about other topics at hand. Angron then walked to Vulkan.
"We need to have words in private," Angron said. Vulkan wondered what was on her sister's mind. They certainly had much to catch up on. Angron then turned to Issei before walking away from him giving a kind smile.
Issei smiled back and waved goodbye. Almost everyone moved away from
The meeting all had serious questions on their mind and constantly played with these new groundbreaking secrets that were just told to them. Russ, Corvus, Lorgar, Jaghatai, Guilliman, and Konrad had walked to Issei's side. Issei could see all of them were watching him.
"Oi, we still have a couple more questions for you." Russ said. Issei smiles back and gives a challenging gaze back.
"Only if I can hear more about you guys." Issei said. Russ began to walk into the grand building.
"How about we talk it over with some food and drinks." Russ suggested. Issei then excitedly ran into the building.
"Last one there is a rotten egg." Issei yelled back.
Russ smiled at the challenge and bolted into the building as well.
"You're on!" She yelled excitedly to take the challenge. The other follows behind though Corvis kept her distance from Konrad. Horus suspected that unsupervised this group would certainly cause a great amount of juvenile trouble. Horus let out an exaggerated sigh.
"I better go after them," Horus said she then turned towards Sanguinius with a defeated smile. "Care to join me?"
"You go on ahead, I'll catch up later." She said Horus then followed into the building, hoping the group didn't cause any rambunctious destruction.
Sanguinius was soon left all by herself as she walked to the table that Rogal had set for them, she caressed the top of it slowly walking around and looking at the spot where Issei stood. She felt an ounce of jealousy inside of her thinking about Angron's situation. Her face was turning into a melancholy sorrow. Then she thought about the words Fulgrim said.
"Only love can tame the savage beast, I wish that were true." The Angel said thinking about the horrible fate Issei would suffer from being devoured by the angel herself.
"For me." She said sadly.
