Class had ended and everyone was headed back to the dorms. Izumi and Katsuki were stuck in the nurse's office. Katsuki had his head wrapped up in gauze, leaving only room to breathe. Izumi sat in her bed with a wrapped up arm and the top of her head and a patch on her nose.
Shoka and Katsumi walked in with confused looks. "How the hell did you lose?" Shoka asked.
"And where the hell did that Deku get a quirk?!"
Izumi was seemingly ignoring her friends as she was looking out the window next to her bed. The two walked up to her as she seemed to be thinking about something. "Izumi?" Shoka began to reach out to her but was stopped by an invisible force.
"I know. I don't know what happened to him but he isn't a Deku anymore. He's at least shown that much. Let's just… leave him alone for now. Kay?" Izumi never let her gaze waver from the window as she spoke.
The two looked at each other before nodding. "Uh, sure Zumi. Whatever you say."
Shoka looked at the floor for a second. "What about the boys?"
"They don't listen to us anyways. If they want to get put in here every day, let them."

Izuku sat in the common area watching the hero news, seeing if any info about Ryukyu or Miruko was going on. Since he began to go to UA, they had increased their hours at work since they didn't have to worry about Izuku at all. Despite how capable he is of protecting himself, they couldn't help themselves but worry about him sometimes.
As he was watching, he noticed someone sitting down next to him. "So whatcha watchin scale face?"
"J-just looking for some hero news. Most of it is just boring stuff."
"Anything in particular?"
Izuku scratched his neck, feeling nervous talking to the girl he had grown a bit of a crush on. "Uh, Ryukyu and M-Miruko."
"Hmm, the Rabbit hero and Dragoon hero. Why them? Cause their hot female heroes that are both in the top ten?"
Izuku began to blush a bit, thinking about his reason. "I-it's because I worry about them. Th-they helped me and raised me from a young age."
Tsutsumi seemed to be thinking about something as she remained quiet. "You related to that green haired girl we fought today?"
"Izumi? Yeah. We were twins. We used to be really close."
"Used to?"
"Yeah, used to. When we were four, we went to go see what quirks we would get. Izumi was blessed with a bit of both of our… of her parents' quirks. A stockpile and telekinesis quirk. The older she gets, the more energy the quirk stockpiles, the stronger her quirk gets."
"Huh, seems really useful in a lot of situations. What about you, you get some dragon quirk and somethin happened?"
"Heh, not quite. I was diagnosed quirkless. Falsely, I might add, if it wasn't obvious enough. My… old parents, they basically forgot about me. Only ever seemed to focus on Izumi as I was pushed to the back of the shelf. Never got fed, woken up for preschool, not even a single hello for almost four years."
"Geez, talk about terrible people. What about your sister? What happened between you two?"
Izuku looked down. "She and our friends began to bully me. Called me names, beat me, told me to give up on being a hero. I didn't go a single day without that happening to me." Izuku began to wrap himself up with his wings. "I asked them why they were doing that so many times but I never got an answer. I still don't really know why."
Seeing how Izuku was acting, Tsutsumi decided to shift the topic. "So you ran away when you were seven?"
"Yeah. I lived on the streets for about three months until Ryukyu and Miruko found me. They only did because Ryukyu brought Miruko along on her usual route for backup just in case because of some villain group she was after. Miruko heard me and then… well, I think you can guess the rest of it. They took me in and gave me the most normal life they could." Izuku began smiling at the memories.
"What about your quirk? When did that come in?"
"I was a very late bloomer. Got it on my twelfth birthday. I was feeling sick so mom had me stay home as she took off her hero work to take care of me. When mama Rumi heard, she took off early and came to help take care of me. Eventually, my scales began to sprout all across my body, my wings, tail and horns grew and before I knew it, I had a quirk."
"Hey, are the rumors true about Ryukyu and Miruko dating?"
"Heh, I don't think that is for me to share. You know Tsutsumi, you're really easy to talk to. Thanks for listening."
"Eh, it's whatever. I was curious and it was an interesting story. If you want to talk more, let me know."
"Heh, sure."
Behind a wall, Shoka and Katsumi were listening to everything that was said. "Why we started?" Shoka asked herself.
"I… I don't even remember why… we…" Katsumi looked at herself as she thought about it.

Izumi was still sitting in her bed, looking out the same window as the sun was beginning to set. "Tch, to protect him. What a load of shit that was. To think I fell for that lie. Well, I guess it didn't all end badly."
She laid back into her bed and closed her eyes, sitting in her thoughts that were swirling in her head. The memories of the day that all started.
Izumi heard Katsuki groan and she threw a plastic cup at him with her quirk. "Shut up, you deserved having your head smashed in the wall like that."
