"Alright!" Present Mic's voice resonated throughout the area. "Time for the final match of the first year sports festival!" The crowd cheered. "First up, we have the king of scales himself, Izuku Tatsuma-Usagiyama!"

Izuku walked out, waving at the crowd as they roared a cheer for him.

"Next up, we have the master of telekinetic power herself, Izumi Yagi!" The crowd cheered as Izumi walked out but was looking down as she made her way into the arena. "Now for this match, we have a special rule!"

Midnight cracked her whip, gaining everyone's attention. "There is no ring out for this match! You can only win by knock-out or surrender! Are both sides ready?!" Izuku kept his eyes on Izumi as he nodded. Izumi felt her whole body shaking. Out of anticipation or fear, she couldn't tell which. She nodded. "Begin!"

Izuku's eyes immediately turned red as he disappeared from Izumi's sight. She jumped forward, barely dodging a kick aimed for her head. "Tch, been learning from watching me fight."

Izumi turned around, seeing Izuku was behind her, staring down at her. "I had to, otherwise I wouldn't be able to beat you at all."

"So, you admit I'm stronger than you." Izuku charged forwards, aiming his claws towards her head.

Izumi barely dodged under the claw, a few strands of her hair being cut off in the process. "Yeah Izuku, you're better than me, stronger even." She placed her hand on his side. "But I'll still fight!" Izuku cracked a smile as Izumi used her telekinesis to send him flying into a wall, cracking it.

"Oh, and Izumi has landed the first blow! Will Izuku be able to get up after that?!" Present mic shouted.

'Heh, my blood's starting to boil now.' Izuku easily pulled himself out of the wall and jumped towards Izumi, cracking the wall further and pulling his fist back. Izumi, thinking quickly, activated One for All, attempting to block Izuku's punch. Once Izuku got to her, he punched her as hard as he could.

Izumi could feel her body strain as she tried to hold out but, feeling the bones in one of her arms beginning to break, was punched away but caught herself just before she hit a wall with her telekinesis. Setting herself back on the ground, she held her arm as the pain continued to shoot through her. "D-damn. I didn't think you were th-that strong."

Izuku walked off the platform and towards Izumi, eyes still glowing a bright red, his menacing smile stretching across his face. Sparks began to come off of Izumi as she pulled back her fist. 'This is the only chance I have at winning. I need to use every bit of One for All for one last attack. Even if it does break my arm. I can't hold back at all!'

She launched herself towards Izuku, ready to finish the fight. 'One for All 100%!' Once she was close enough, Izumi put everything she had into her punch.

Izuku instintly dodged out of the way of the punch the moment she punched before grabbing her extended arm that had turned red, making Izumi scream out in pain, then grabbing her shoulder and shoving her into the ground. He placed his foot on her chest before moving his hand over her head.

Izumi was breathing hard. She was out of breath, in pain and completely at his mercy. "I-I… I give up."

"Izumi Yagi has surrendered to Izuku Tatsuma-Usagiyama! Izuku Tatsuma-Usagiyama is the winner!"

Izuku let go of Izumi and got up. "Izuku won the sports festival, folks! He did exactly as he claimed he would! What a hero!" The crowds cheered the loudest they had but Izuku didn't look at them. He saw Izumi, arm broken and completely exhausted as she looked at him.

"Y-you did it, Izuku. I… I can't beat you no matter how hard I try. No matter… no matter what I do, you've surpassed me in… in every way." The robots came and carefully put Izumi onto a stretcher as she began to pass out and took her to Recovery Girl's office.

Izuku looked back and saw the destruction her last ditch attack did. She completely destroyed a large part of the arena. Izuku clenched his fists. "Idiot, using an attack like that." He turned to leave the arena.

——

All Might sat there, stunned at what he just saw. 'Izumi didn't hold back at all and she still lost.'

The woman next to him was looking a bit pissed. "I told her not to use her power at 100%! She completely disobeyed me! She is so grounded!" She got up and made her way towards Recovery Girl's office with All Might following along soon after realizing she was leaving.

——

In Recovery Girl's office, she was examining the extent of Izumi's injuries when the door burst open and an angry mother came walking in. "Izumi Yagi, I told you not to use 100% of One for All and you blatantly disobeyed me!"

Izumi seemed as if she hadn't even noticed her mother walk into the room as she was staring at the ceiling.

"Are you listening to me?!"

All Might stood in front of his wife. "Honey, please calm down. I'm sure Izumi had a good reason to do what she did."

"*sigh* Fine. She can explain herself later. But, she's grounded from her phone for a week!" She grabbed Izumi's phone off the table next to her and put it into her pocket.

The door behind them opened and Izuku walked in. He walked past Inko and Toshinori, completely ignored their presence, and up to Izumi who still seemed completely out of it. "Recovery Girl, how is she?"

"She's got a hairline fracture in her right ulna and humerus of her right arm and her left is completely broken from that punch she threw. Other than that, she's mostly just exhausted from the fight. Some healing and a good night's rest and she'll be back up again."

Izuku nodded, hearing it. He closed his eyes, sighing to himself. Feeling something touch his hand, he opened his eyes and saw Izumi move her arm into it. "I-Izuku."

'She's completely lucid. Probably won't even remember this.' "Yeah, you idiot. Don't go doing any stupid stuff like that again. There's no point in doing all or nothing attacks like that so early in your career as a hero, yeah?"

She slightly nodded her head. "Y-yeah. Okay." Her eyes drifted back to the ceiling. "So many little dots." Izuku looked at the ceiling and saw she was talking about the pattern on the ceiling itself. Slowly, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Izuku sighed, seeing her asleep. He turned to Recovery Girl and handed her a slip of paper. "Give this to her when she wakes up, please?"

The elderly hero took the paper with a nod as Izuku walked out of the room. 'That boy, he sure is a mystery.' She remembered back to a test she did after the USJ attack. 'By all accounts, he should be quirkless. But yet there he is, quirk and all. I guess it's one of the mysteries of science.'

Izuku was walking down the halls, thinking to himself, when his head was knocked back and he fell to the floor. He was staring at the ceiling for a second, confused, when an all too familiar bunny came into view. "Izuku… *sigh* guess you need more training."

"…Damnit."

Izuku POV

It was time for the awards ceremony. I was standing on the number one spot as a slightly rested up Izumi was standing on the number two spot, and Tokoyami and Kaina stood on the number three spot together.

Midnight walked up. "Now, the one to present the awards this year…"

"Aahahaha! It is I! All Might!" He jumped down from the roof into the center of the stadium. "Here to present medals!" He walked up to Kaina and Tokoyami, putting a bronze medal on each of them. "You both did great. Tokoyami, relying on your quirk too much can be a hindrance. Tsutsumi, I saw how you got angered easily, try to keep that under control."

Tokoyami nodded his head, hearing the advice the hero gave him, while Kaina rolled her eyes.

He walked up to Izumi, putting the silver on her. "Izumi, you fought very well. You almost made it to first place. With just a bit more training, you'll be the strongest one here." Izumi seemed to grow visibly angered hearing his words. Then he stepped up to me. "Izuku, how about trying to be less monstrous."

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, fuck you too, All Might." He put the medal around my neck, turning to the crowd.

"Let's give it up to these young heroes!" The crowd began to cheer loudly for us.
