Sorry for the very small late update, had a terrible storm that cut off the internet connection and had to rewrite some parts.

This chapter may be really longer than the rest, but it fits perfectly to wrap up Overnight Hangouts.

Enjoy

(7:30 PM, June 1, 2022)

Lynn Jr. was looking inside her bedroom drawers while her brother was leaning on his sister's door yawning. Lincoln was getting bored as he has been staying put for the last ten minutes.

"Sis, you're almost done? I have to get back to Micah." Lincoln groaned.

Lynn kept digging in her drawers. "Chill Lincoln, I know it's in here, don't rush me." She dug deeper in until she found what she was looking for. "Hah! Got it!"

"Ugh finally!" Lincoln walked up to his sister.

Lynn scoffed at Lincoln's impatience as she held a movie case in her hands. "Quit complaining, it was deep inside my drawers so it would've taken time. Also, I would've given you a mega wedgie for your behavior. But, you have a friend over so I'll let it pass once." She then handed the movie case over to her brother. "Here you go, one Kong: Skull island movie disk presented, neat and still intact."

Lincoln examines the disk and smiles. "Thanks Lynn! I owe you one."

"Oh? You owe me one?" Lynn smugged. "Well I would have said that myself, but you're already in debt. So just consider this a sign of sisterly love. Alright?"

"Cool! Thank Sis!" Lincoln hugs his sister tightly before leaving her room to find Micah. As he was heading down the stairs, he started to smell something odd coming from the kitchen. He took a sniff and what he smelled was good. "Beef? I thought the family's eating boneless chicken tenderloins for dinner?" He headed to the bottom of the stairs and headed towards the kitchen only to have his eyes widen.

The kitchen dishes were put in the dishwasher, the counter and sink were wiped clean, Luna was watching while leaning on the doorway that leads to the backyard, and Micah himself was on the stove cooking two beef patties. He already had several burger ingredients out on the counter ready to be used with iceberg lettuce already washed..

"Micah can cook?!"

Lincoln looked to his left to see his twin sisters, Lana and Lola, also observing the scene as he was. "'Micah can cook?!' Oh, come on. Of course he can cook. His last job was cooking patties on a GRILL stove."

Lola put her hands up feeling offended. "Ok. Ok. Sorry for being so naive." She rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"No, it's fine." Lincoln said. "I really should be more mature than this." He then looks at Micah. "As for you, what are you doing?"

Micah flips a patty before looking at the white-haired kid. "What? I thought you said I can find something for me to eat from your fridge except Chicken Bites?"

"It's Mac-N-Cheese Bites and it looks like you're cooking for my whole family." Lincoln exclaimed.

"Not really. I only hope for them to try some of my cooking and see if my new recipe for Burp-N-Burger can sell. I got the idea from your rock sister over by the back door." Micah continued to cook while Lincoln narrowed his eyes at Luna.

"Chill bro," said Luna. "I only told him he could, I never said that he needed to do it."

"Oh really?" Lincoln said. "Micah Ransom, a Burp-N-Burger employee, creating a new burger item for the place he works at?"

Lana looks at her older brother. "I don't see anything wrong with that?"

Lola nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah, if it helps dragging customers there instead of that 'sci-fi' Stun Burger place, you can keep paying off your debt for the summer."

Lincoln looked at Lola deadpanned. "You're just saying that just because you want to try Micah's cooking now and in the future."

Lola awkwardly laughs. "Well, kinda true."

Lincoln groans as he looks back to Micah. "Look Micah, you don't have to cook for my family, we're having chicken tenderloins for-"

"Well," Luna said. "I called our parents and told them about the situation and they said it was fine for Micah to have us try some. He just wants us to still eat some chicken afterwards."

Lincoln grunts in frustration. "Fine, I'm gonna go call my friends to see if they're ok with this as well."

After Lincoln left, Micah heard two toasters beep as he saw both sets of buns ready. The loud daily had an extra toaster and Micah was given permission to use it. After setting the buns open on two plates, Micah just thought of something. "Hey, Red Hat."

Lana looks towards Micah. "It's Lana. What's up?"

Micah flips the second patty. "My phone's over at that small black table back there, can you please go get it for me?" Lana shrugs and brings the phone to the boy. "Thanks kid." Micah then turns its speaker on for him to search via taking. "Google, play Tokyo by Owl City."

"Ok, playing Tokyo by Owl City. Ft. Seikai No Owari. Now." Micah's phone starts playing as Micah starts listening to the beat.

Micah pours a handful of shredded mozzarella cheese into his hand and sprinkles it onto the patties.

Feels like I've been away for a thousand years

Lincoln sat on the living room couch.

So tired of these airports and souvenirs

He was about to call his friends about his situation.

I shiver in the night and I think of you

Lincoln sighs before actually calling them.

I stroll the boulevards

With a make-shift plan, Girl Jordan lays out a twister mat.

I stare up at the stars

Her friends were hyped for the game.

And wish they'd all align

Girl Jordan looks at Christina and winks at her.

You keep me on my toes

Christina winks back.

And this is how it goes

Chloe spins twice first.

You never leave my mind

She puts her foot on green.

Are you having fun yet?

Mollie spins the dial twice next.

I'll send you the sunset

She puts her hand on top yellow.

I love the most when I'm in Tokyo

Emma gulps as she sees it's now her turn.

I'll melt in the moonlight

She spins her two turns.

And follow the shoreline

She puts her hand on bottom red.

On down the coast, when I'm in Tokyo

Her anxiety vanishes and pumps her fist up.

Ooh, can't sleep the whole night through

Girl Jordan smirks as things are doing well so far.

Ooh, and I am missing you

She looks at Christina and directs her to do her part.

I'm thinking it out loud

Christina nods in agreement.

I wish I could reach out

She goes to Kat and starts talking to her.

And hold you close, when I'm in Tokyo

Girl Jordan smirks as she secretly puts Kat's answers on her phone.

I wander all alone in the pouring rain

After finishing two burgers, Micah sets two new patties on the active stove.

Ride shotgun on the wind, in the bullet train

He places a small bowl next to him on the counter.

I shiver in the night and I think of you

He then cracks his fingers and smirks as he opens two jars of condiments and a teaspoon.

I stroll the boulevards

He places two glops of mayonnaise into the bowl.

I stare up at the stars

He squirts ketchup afterwards.

And wish they'd all align

He then uses the same teaspoon to mix both condiments until they blend together.

You keep me on my toes

He places a new set of burger buns the toaster.

And this is how it goes

He peels the lettuce piece by piece.

You never leave my mind

He flips the patties with the spatula he is using.

Are you having fun yet?

He seasoned the patties with salt.

I'll send you the sunset

He did it again with pepper.

I love the most when I'm in Tokyo

He then sprinkles the shredded cheese onto the patties.

I'll melt in the moonlight

He covers the patties with two pan lids.

And follow the shoreline

He slices the onions thinly.

On down the coast, when I'm in Tokyo

He grabs the toasted buns and places them on two plates.

Ooh, can't sleep the whole night through

He spreads his sauce onto the burger buns' insides.

Ooh, and I am missing you

He places the cooked patties on the bottom buns.

I'm thinking it out loud

He then places a slice of lettuce on each melted cheese.

I wish I could reach out

He puts the top buns on top of the lettuce.

And hold you close, when I'm in Tokyo

He wipes his sweat off his head as he begins the cycle all over again.

As the girls were looking at the stars with Girl Jordan's telescope, Christina proceeded to ask Chloe, Emma, and Joy on how to date someone. As that happens, Rachel spots the Capricorn constellation.

I stroll the boulevards

Joy looks into the telescope.

I stare up at the stars

Her eyes sparkled as she Capricorn.

And wish they all aligned

Christina then asked Mollie on how a girl should approach a guy.

You keep me on my toes

Girl Jordan eavesdrops on Mollie's answer.

And this is how it goes

She puts her answer on her phone.

You never leave my mind

She smirks on the information she has collected.

Are you having fun yet?

She then looks at her friends who were all laughing.

I'll send you the sunset

They were having fun.

I love the most

She reflects on her ongoing sleepover and smiles to herself.

I'll melt in the moonlight

She too was having fun.

And follow the shoreline

She puts her phone away.

On down the coast

She then joins her friends and looks at Capricorn as well.

Ooh, can't sleep the whole night through

She watches as the stars dazzle before her.

Ooh, and I am missing you

She stared in awe at the bright night sky.

I'm thinking it out loud

She was glad her night went well.

I wish I could reach out

She eventually thought to herself.

And hold you close when I'm in Tokyo (When I'm in Tokyo)

"I may have had a few setbacks, but everything still went well."

When I'm in Tokyo (When I'm in Tokyo)

Micah uses a clean rag to wipe his sweat off.

When I'm in Tokyo (When I'm in Tokyo)

Girl Jordan acknowledges her slumber party progress.

When I'm in Tokyo (When I'm in Tokyo)

Micah looks at his thirteen cooked burgers on the kitchen counter.

When I'm in Tokyo (When I'm in Tokyo)

Girl Jordan offers her friends some movie cases.

Lincoln had just finished his whole predicament to his friends who were all on their beds and were either confused or still trying to process what their friend said.

"So you left Micah to find food in your kitchen?" asked Rusty.

"While you were in your sister's room receiving a Monsterverse movie?" Liam added.

Zach yawned before speaking. "But it resulted in Micah cooking burgers for your family."

Clyde spoke next. "Which in fact, resulted in Micah becoming aware of his talent of cooking and plans to make a new menu item for Burp-N-Burger."

"And this wasn't at all part of your sleepover in the slightest." Stella said as she laid back on her bed.

Lincoln sighs as he laid his head on the couch cushion. "Yep, that's pretty much it." He looks at the Kong: Skull Island movie case he was still holding onto the whole time.

"Lincoln?" Rusty said. "This might be not what you are expecting for an answer, but shouldn't you be glad that Micah became aware?"

Stella can sense that Lincoln was in shock. "Yeah, I'm gonna have to maybe agree with Rusty on this."

"Same here," said Clyde. "Sorry buddy."

Zach and Liam also express their agreements.

"Why are you guys liking this?" Lincoln asked. "I knew at least one of my sisters was going to get involved with any friend I brought."

"Pal look," Laim said. "We're sorry we can't seem to agree with your sisters butting in. And yes, me and Zach had our fair share of the situation."

"Hey!"

"But the point is," Liam continued. "It seems like your sisters didn't really 'but in' like they did before."

Rusty nods in agreement. "Liam's right dawg, what your sisters were trying to do now is help Micah see his own talent of cooking."

"Well, that is kinda true." Lincoln said.

Back then, his sisters' antics always scared his friends and classmates away. Some classmates even used to hate him a lot because they used to mess up a fragment of his childhood. Sometimes to the point of isolating him from the other kids. However, his sisters eventually improved their maturity to the situations Lincoln is involved in that they don't mess him up anymore. Despite their flaws, Lincoln would still love his sisters regardless and vice versa.

Zach yawns again before talking. "Also, didn't Micah say that was wanted to make a new menu item because that can help keep us in business so we can continue paying off our debt?" Those last words struck Lincoln hard.

"Oh wow, I totally didn't think of that!" Lincoln thought hard and imagined how Micah's new burger can bring in customers everyday rather than Stun Burger. "Fine, I guess I'll try it out and see what happens."

"That's great Lincoln, glad that you're bored with this now." Stella said before thinking of something that made her face become more concerning. "By the way guys have any of you been able to find my locket yet? I haven't been able to find it since summer started."

Lincoln totally forgot about that too. "Sorry Stella, I couldn't find it or that Mutt around Royal Woods at all."

Zach felt guilty for not finding it as well. "Same here, the last time we saw that stray dog was when he and Lincoln missile launched themselves into Tall Timbers Park's pond."

"Zach!"

"Sorry."

Clyde and the others rolled their eyes from the small joke. "Back on the side-subject, none of us couldn't find the stray or the locket Stella. Not even the police can find where he went. But, that doesn't mean that we won't stop searching, we promise that we won't stop looking until we find either of them."

"Thanks guys," Stella felt touched by her friends' generosity.

Lincoln felt he already got what he needed. "Alright guys, I have to go now. Thank you for your time listening and giving your opinions."

"Anytime Linc." They all said before Lincoln ended the call. Feeling anew, he goes to the dining room bringing his movie case with him. Upon reaching his destination, he sees his parents halfway done with setting up the table. "Mom. Dad. So you two are really fine with Micah cooking dinner for today?"

Rita looks at her son with concern. "Oh, sorry for not telling you sweetie, your father and I couldn't tell you then."

Lunn Sr. nods in agreement. "Don't worry kiddo, Lemon Garlic Chicken will still happen!"

Lincoln shrugs it off. "Ok then, I'm gonna go upstairs and tell my sisters that it's almost time for dinner." He proceeds to go to the second flood and spread the news.

Girl Jordan and her friends were all eating either popcorn or smores in her room while watching the animated Pixar movie, Turning Red. While her friends were having a blast, she and Christina were in the back of the group discussing their information they've collected with the redhead stuffing her mouth with a large smore.

"Alright," said Girl Jordan. "Let's review what our friends have said." She and Christina went through the list of their friends' answers on the former's phone.

Kat: Brush your hair off your shoulders to get your crush's attention.

Chloe: Make quick eye contact moments between you and the guy without him knowing you have his attention.

Emma: Start slow by asking everyday normal questions to your crush before asking him out.

Joy: Make oblivious flirts with your crush on your date to make him focus on you. In addition, wear semi-formal clothes to your date since it's not a prom date. Kiss him and intertwine your fingers when you leave the restaurant only if you and your crush have officially become a couple.

Mollie: Walk slow and steady when approaching the guy you like. Keep it a little casual so you won't creep your crush out and not make him feel uncomfortable.

"Christina, this is absolutely crucial information you got here. Very helpful indeed." Girl Jordan remarked.

"Thanks, although I did forget to ask Paige. Sorry."

Girl Jordan scoffed. "Don't bother, she'll catch onto something if you do."

"Alright then, so when do you want to go shopping?"

"Uh," Girl Jordan hadn't really thought of that. She was so busy gathering information that she forgot to plan when they could shop for clothes. However, she hasn't made a date yet so it wasn't a big deal really. "Let's make one after I ask Lincoln out."

Christina shrugs her shoulders. "Ok, fair enough." They then hear Joy laughing hard at the movie they're watching.

"Ohhh. That blond girl gets it, Mei's red panda form is very cute!"

Mollie rolled her eyes. "I could hardly care, I just want to see how the story plays out." She takes another smore and bites down from it.

Soon, the Loud family had all come to the dining room to try Micah's recipe with Lynn Sr. planning on cooking the chicken after trying his dish. They were waiting patiently as Micah pokes his head into the dining room.

"Ok everyone, I just want to check one final time, the current eldest loud who is an expert at fashion is Leni."

"That's right Micah," Leni cheerfully said. "And I totes can't wait to try your burger for my brother's sake!" That comment touched Lincoln's heart.

"Right, the . . . second youngest yet most intelligent loud of the family is . . .Lisa!"

Lisa nods. "Correct Big Bro's colleague."

"Okay. Okay. And last but not least, the youngest loud who wears a white shirt and lavender shorts and recently finished her first year of preschool, Lily."

Lily happily waves her hand in excitement. "Wiwy!"

Rita just realized something. "Micah, would it be alright if you give Lily's plate to me? I need to cut it up so she can eat properly. "

Micah nods and proceeds to give them all a burger with some red pepper flake packets on the side still unopened. "The red pepper flakes are if you guys want an extra kick to your burger."

Some of the lods took the packets and put some in their burgers which have Micah's sauce on both buns, a cooked patty with melted mozzarella cheese, and a lettuce piece.

The Loud Family started eating their burgers, giving either different or same answers in response.

Lincoln: Pretty Good.

Lynn: Hot, I like it!

Luan: Lettuce be together forever!

Lucy: A bit too colorful.

Luna: Rockin!

Leni: Totes Juicy!

Lana: Astounding!

Lola: Meh, a bit too greasy.

Lisa: 7/10, could use some tomatoes.

Lynn Sr.: Good work! Just make sure you don't over do it.

Rita: Warm and savory.

Lily: Wiwy Woves It!

Hearing these answers brought Joy to Micah's heart. "They really do like my cooking after all."

Lincoln looks at Micah. "We can watch Kong later tonight. I'm sure he'll still want to watch it." Lincoln smiles before speaking. "Well, this is satisfying. Might want to call Mr. Croystin about this."

"Yeah, good idea." Micah then goes to the house phone and calls his manager. "Hey Sir, sorry for interrupting your time but can you give me a moment? How would you feel if we brought a new menu item for Burping-N-Burger?" He was excited to put it up for sale.
