lol ever forget you're writing a story? cuz I did

Also, I have no idea where I'm going next with this story so let me know what you think of it so far? Or if you have any ideas for what can happen next lol. I am very much open for criticism.

Shazza19- Lol yeah I thought it would be fun to write a female version of Dean. I do theatre as my job so FanFiction is one of my favorites!

Sandycub- Will Dean be happier out of school? Lol. And yes! I really wanted to do something with the theatre being canon and it takes a long time to put on a production so I figured it would be perfect to include in this story!

Long Live BRUCAS- Yup! Exactly!

On with the show!

Sam ran down the sidewalk as the rain started to come down harder. He darted across the parking lot, barely avoiding getting hit by a car, and ran up to the door of the auto shop. He shuddered as he stepped inside the warm shop and shrugged his jacket off. He threw everything in a pile behind the check out counter and collapsed on the bottom step of one of the giant ladders.

"Hey Sammy," Dean greeted, coming out from the back room. He heard the bell on the shop door ring. "How was rehearsal?"

"Stupid," Sam answered, crossing his arms and pouting.

"Why? What happened?"

"Nothing! My stupid character is a ghost that doesn't even show up until the last act and I don't have any lines! I sat on a wooden stool on the stage the entire time! Theatre is stupid."

"Oh come on. I bet it's not that bad. How do you die?"

"Appendicitis on a boy scout camping trip," Sam mumbled. Dean laughed. "It's not funny Dean!"

"I'm laughing at you dude! Not the show. You're so dramatic sometimes."

Sam pouted even more, if it was even possible. The only reason he was at the shop is because he had his rehearsals on Saturday mornings and this week, Bobby was out of town again and couldn't pick him up. So Sam had to take the bus to Dean's job and hang out to get a ride home.

"While you're up there, grab one of those for me would ya?" Dean asked, holding up a box.

Sam climbed the top of the ladder. It was one of those rolling steel ladders that are flat at the top so you could get something off the top shelf and set it down next to you. Sam grabbed one of the boxes that looked similar to what Dean had on the counter next to him. It was heavier than he expected but he managed as he climbed back down the ladder.

"Aren't you going to get in trouble for making me do your job for you?" Sam said, attempting to dig at him.

Dean scoffed. "Like for what?"

Sam shrugged. "I don't know. Free child labor?"

Dean printed out a receipt from the machine and took the box from Sam. He taped the receipt to the box and set it down on the counter next to the first one.

"What are those?" Sam asked.

"Car batteries. Someone called earlier and the order was written for two of them. Probably a mistake."

"Why would it be a mistake?"

Dean smirked. "I know you don't know shit about cars, but how many cars you know take two batteries?"

"Maybe he's fixing two cars?"

"Hey Dani!" Dean called towards the back of the shop.

"What?" a voice called back.

"This dude really ordered two batteries?"

A girl came up to the counter and took the order form from Dean. Sam nervously shifted his weight as he stood on the ladder. He watched her lean in way too close to Dean while she inspected the order form. Dean seemed totally oblivious to her.

"I didn't take this one," the girl said.

"Who did?" Dean asked.

"Not sure but I'd pull two anyway. If it's a mistake we'll just charge him for the one."

"Hi!" Sam said suddenly. "I'm Sam."

"Hey Sam!" the girl said, turning around and smiling at him. "I'm Dani. Dean's told me so much about you."

"H-he has?"

"Yeah! We were talking earlier and he mentioned something about being in a show at school?"

"Sammy's embarrassed because apparently, he plays a dead guy," Dean teased.

"No I'm not!" Sam cried defensively. Too defensively.

"Still, I think it's really cool," Dani said. "I could never get on stage in front of people. You're so brave."

Sam blushed at the way she said that. Dean noticed.

"Sammy's just here to hang out until my shift ends," Dean explained, turning to Dani. "He'll just sit in the corner and be quiet."

"And apparently, do your job for you," Dani teased, slapping the order form against Dean's chest and smiling. The phone in the back room started ringing and she ran back to go answer it.

Sam hated watching her play with Dean like that. He wasn't sure why.

"She likes you too?" he snapped, feeling annoyed.

"Eh, maybe a little," Dean answered nonchalantly, pulling up the next order on the computer.

"So what? You gonna date her too?"

Dean turned around to face Sam. "The fuck are you talking about?"

Sam started to fidget. His mind raced as he struggled to think of what to say next. "Just... Maybe you should. To get over Kelly."

"You know I don't have to date every chick I meet right?"

"Sorry," Sam mumbled. Dean watched his brother. What was he getting so upset about?

"Here," Dean said, changing the subject. He pointed to a picture on the computer screen. "Find me a thing that looks like this."

Sam rolled his eyes and climbed back up the ladder.
