Based on the episode "The Gorilla Club" (skipping "The Breakfast Bunch", as that episode seems like a manic fever dream.)
...
Beck really wanted to refuse to take Cat along to the Gorilla Club. However, he was taking Tori and he did not want it to appear like he was on a date with her. That would tick Jade off to an extreme degree and make him look like a cheater. The best way to avoid incorrect appearances? Taking along a non-romantic little jumping bean of a human named Cat. But the whole point of going to the dangerous activity club to coach Tori in living on the edge, not to babysit Cat who already lived far too much on the edge for Beck's comfort level.
That "living on the edge" included playing "Pirates" with Robbie, which Beck had confronted him about after it came up at a card game the previous night. Robbie had sunk down in his chair at Cat's "I don't like how you play pirates." Beck was not entirely sure what that version of "Pirates" had involved, but had nevertheless made it very clear that as long as Cat did not want the pirate trying to "capture" her, Robbie was to keep his hands off her. Robbie, already embarrassed by Cat's rejection and too timid to push things any more than simply offering to play with her, had quickly promised Beck that he would leave Cat alone. Beck had been satisfied. Although Robbie was a good friend, his dedication to protecting Cat was stronger, and Beck had no problem in asserting boundaries that Cat might sometimes confuse in her innocent desire to play "games" that could have far more innuendo or appeal for others than she realized.
With the "pirates" issue settled, Beck's focus was now on taking Tori to the Gorilla Club, which had been "helpfully" suggested by Jade. Anything suggested for Tori by Jade was rarely the safest option, and Andre had quickly volunteered to come along as an extra safeguard (Beck thought he heard Andre mutter something about being there in case Jade had hired someone to jump Tori once she was in the club). It was when Cat heard that the three of them were going that she had insisted on being able to go too. As Jade had a practice session that night, Beck had not been able to convince Cat of the merits of staying with Jade.
When the evening started with Cat dragging Andre off, Beck hoped that his friend's common sense would prevent him from letting Cat onto any of the attractions. Instead, every time Beck turned around at the Gorilla Club, it seemed like Cat was taking on some new challenge. One moment it was the Bucking Fire Bunny of Doom, another the Balls of Pain. He found himself expecting to hear her cry at any second, becoming jumpy. If Tori got hurt, that would be a conscious decision that she had made. If Cat got hurt - well, that would be a different story.
Cat, if you get hurt at all, even the tiniest bruise will cause Jade to kill me! It doesn't matter that she suggested this place to Tori, she will hold me personally responsible if her best friend gets crushed in a gory end, even if she would find it hilarious if it happened to anyone else ... probably including me.
Beck found he was relieved when Jade came with them to the Gorilla Club, finally having a night free of practices. Of course, she was there mainly to watch Tori get tortured by fighting the namesake gorilla, but Beck was relieved that if something happened to Cat, at least Jade would be there with her and could be the one to piece her back together in case of an accident.
Much to his relief, even Tori survived the evening. Jade's bloodlust was satiated a little when Tori - who won the gorilla challenge - was still assaulted by the beast at the end for daring to touch his banana. Trina had dragged her sister to the hospital with a few choice words in Jade's direction for daring her sister to be there in the first place, but Jade had let the words slide off her back.
"Ready to go?" Jade asked Beck brightly.
"You've got issues," he chuckled as she beamed, satisfied. Violence had a weird way of calming her.
"Owww!"
That one little whimper erased her smile.
"Cat?" she asked, jerking around quickly.
"My finger! I ... go ... got a ... a ... splinter!" Cat cried, instantly upset.
"A splinter!" Jade exclaimed, grabbing Cat's hand and checking it. "How'd you get it?"
"Touching the walls while trying to watch them fix up Tori," Cat sniffled.
Jade nodded, looking at the splinter. "Don't worry, Cat. We'll get you fixed up soon too." She turned to frown at Beck. "What were you thinking, bringing her to a place like this?!"
Beck's eyebrows shot up. Of all the risky things Cat had done over the last couple nights, touching a wall had been no where on his radar.
"How was I supposed to convince her not to come to a place that you recommended in the first place?" he asked.
Jade sighed. "Do you want to be right, or do you want to help me with Cat?"
Beck accepted Jade's attempt at apologizing for overreacting.
"I'll help. Here, Cat, give me your finger and I'll try to get the splinter out."
"NOOOO!"
"Calm down."
"NOOOO! Only Jade can take it out. She's good at it," Cat pouted, although she did accept a hug from Beck while Jade dealt with the injury. Thankfully the splinter came out quickly in one piece, and Cat only sniffled about it for five minutes until a piece of bubblegum from the depths of Jade's purse quieted her protests.
"She's never coming here again if I can help it," Jade muttered as they left.
"I'm good with that," Beck agreed, relieved that this saga of "living dangerously" had come to an end.
...
For this chapter, I had the idea: "Cat goes with Beck and Tori and others to the Gorilla Club and keeps jumping into events that end up terrifying Beck, because how the heck does he explain a hurt Cat to an already annoyed Jade? Cat ends up getting hurt in the most benign way possible but she makes sure that she gets lots of attention for it." I had so much fun writing this story based off of this idea. :)
