*Opening on Jay's Workspace, but there's no sign RJ "Jay" Writing Ink. In his place, we have Kermit, standing in front of a statue of Slick Goku*

DAU Kermit: Oh, hey, everyone. Don't mind me. I'm just processing that Slick's no longer with us. He, uh, passed away two weeks ago; his funeral was on January 28th, but it's alright. We're handling it. As for Jay, well...he's busy with Rolf.

Jay(out of sight): Come on, Rolf! We're going to need as many lemons and water balloons filled with boiling hot water as we can carry for the hunt!

Rolf (also offscreen): Calm your pickled turnips, Jay-boy. Rolf has participated in the annual hunt for the mischievous mount sprites many times in the old country! I know what I am doing.

DAU Kermit: Yeah, Jay's not really into Valentine's Day; he thinks it's overrated and negatively affects everyone who doesn't have a significant other in their lives.

Jay: Why do we need a single day of the year dedicated to love? We should do that daily with our friends, family, and partners!

DAU Kermit: Uh-huh...so, he and Rolf are going out hunting for cherubs who create crack pairings or something. I don't know. But you know what I do know? It's time for this story to get back to its most controversial aspect: shipping. Fingers crossed, this turns out alright.

"You guys almost done?"

"Almost, Marcia. We just need to add a little more."

"Yeah, girl, don't rush this. Doing this stuff is an art. An art, I tell you!"

"Perhaps if we add a little more to the eyes?"

"Annnd...done! Wow, that turned out better than I hoped."

"*gasps* She looks stunning!"

"Go on, take a look!"

Marcia then motioned for everyone to step aside so she could look at herself in the bathroom mirror. Her reflection was that of a girl wearing a modest amount of makeup, lipstick, and eyeliner. It wasn't excessive to the amount that some girls would wear, but it was enough to bring attention to the cuter aspects of her face. Her lightly tanned skin looked a little more sun-kissed thanks to the blush, while the eyeliner complemented her chocolate brown eyes well. What really drew Marcia's attention was her hair. It looked a bit straighter and shinier than normal, making her look more mature.

In short, Marcia was pretty amazed by how she looked.

"Wow...I didn't expect myself to look so good," Marcia muttered to herself.

"'So good? So good?' Girl, you look stunning right now! Not as stunning as me, but some people aren't as blessed with such natural good looks."

"MC, I'm sorry, but...I do not think that you are helping matters."

"Whatever, mermaid. As long as I'm still the best-looking person in this room, then I don't care."

"Okay, first of all, I'm standing right here, and second, why are you even here?"

Marcia let out a sigh as she turned away from the mirror to look at the group currently occupying her bathroom: besides herself, there was also Aqua, Brittney, Karla, Sabrina, and last but not least, MC Colthead. The group of six was currently applying makeup on one another, with Marcia being the last to get a makeover.

"Why are you even here, MC? Shouldn't you be hanging out with the others?" Marcia questioned the floating unicorn head.

MC scoffed at that question. ""Earth Turd, do you even know who you're talking to? If there's a chance to do makeup and make people almost as gorgeous as me, then I'm not going to pass that up."

"As crass as the floating horse thing might be, I do respect a boy who's willing to take the time to care about their personal appearance," Brittney admitted. "First impressions are important, so how you look and dress can tell people a lot about you. For example, I take time every morning to exfoliate my skin and ensure that my hair is shiny and at its absolute best." As if to emphasize this point, Brittney ran her fingers through her hair before whipping it to one side, letting everyone else see how lustrous it was.

"See, this girl gets it," MC nodded in respect to Brittney. "I mean, we're both obviously naturally beautiful, but sometimes it takes effort to maintain that. Which reminds me, you gotta share with me your skincare tips."

"I also happen to know some natural exfoliants that can be found in the ocean if anyone is interested," Aqua said, adding to the conversation.

As the girls started to strike up conversations with each other, Marcia thought to herself how well everything seemed to be turning out on this sleepover.

The whole thing had been Comet's idea, to begin with. After their battle with Malorum, Comet had been talking about organizing another sleepover and inviting as many of their friends as possible. Mr. and Mrs. Diaz were going to be out of town for the night; Rafael entered one of his sculptures in an art competition in San Francisco, and that required an overnight trip. Despite this, when Comet asked to do this, they trusted him enough to make sure nothing bad happened.

Marcia was more hesitant about several teenage boys and girls sleeping under the same roof overnight, but Comet had already come up with a solution for that, too. The girls would sleep in Marcia's room while the boys would stay in Comet's. Both sides would agree not to enter the other's bedroom and knock before using the bathroom. He even offered to use some of his Spells to act as guards to ensure nothing...happened.

Ultimately, Marcia had to concede. A few phone calls later, their friends were at the Diaz house for the night. Right now, they'd split up into two groups to have fun. The girls (and MC) were currently enjoying their makeup session, while the boys were-

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!"

-the boys seemed to be getting themselves into trouble.

What did Comet do now? Marcia mentally groaned as she pushed her way past the others toward the bathroom door before making a beeline to the stairs. The rest of the group abruptly ceased their activities thanks to that scream and followed close behind.

"Comet, what happened? Is everything alright? Is something on fire?" A flurry of questions exited Marcia's mouth as she scrambled down the stairs into the living room, her mind racing with all the worst-case scenarios. Instead, what she found was...Ferguson lying on the ground and crying his eyes out.

"Oh, great lords of video gaming, why hast thou abandoned me? Art thou displeased with my offerings? Have I neglected my faith in you?!" Ferguson continued to curse and bemoan his misfortune in an overly-dramatic fashion while everyone else watched, utterly confused.

"Umm, can anyone explain what all...this is about?" Marcia knew that if she didn't ask it, someone would.

"Oh, don't mind him. He's just whining about the fact that we kicked his ass." Jonah chimed in as he sat on the couch. Sitting next to him or on the floor directly in front were the likes of Comet, Jackson, Alfonso, CometFan13, Killian, and for some reason, Coryn. The six boys and one Pokémon were looking at the Diaz family's TV, which Comet had plugged his UGC into so they could play some Halo multiplayer. They'd just finished an epic battle to capture the flag on the iconic Blood Gulch map.

And by "epic," it was epically one-sided. Blue Team consisted of Comet, Alfonso, CometFan, and Jonah, while the Red Team had Ferguson, Jackson, and Killian. Since they were short one player, Comet, for some reason, decided to have Coryn play for the Red Team.

"It's not fair, Jonah! You guys have Comet and Alfonso on your team, and those two are absolute monsters," Ferguson tried to argue, prompting Comet and Alfonso to give him a sheepish look.

"Well, I wouldn't go so far as to call myself a monster when it comes to video games, Ferg," Comet humbly told his friend. "I learned everything about video games on Earth from Alfonso."

"Everything that I taught, my pupil, you would've figured out for yourself," Alfonso said as he placed a hand on Comet's shoulder while pushing up the rim of his glasses, trying to act like some kind of sage. Truthfully, though, it was more cringe than sagely, especially from the girl's perspective.

"Ferguson does have a point, Jonah," Jackson admitted. "I mean, technically, we're playing four on three, so it's not really a fair match."

"You have Coryn, don't you?" Jonah pointed out.

"He can barely move the joystick on his controller!" Ferguson whined in response.

"Kraww!" Coryn hooted indignantly.

"What is happening right now?" Brittney whispered to the others.

"I don't know, but I wish I had some popcorn," MC whispered back.

"Oh, for Heaven's sake." Marcia resisted the urge to roll her eyes as she walked over to the boy. "Coryn, tag out. I'm taking your spot."

Coryn bobbed his head like he was nodding and proceeded to hop away, allowing Marcia to grab the controller.

"You're playing now, Marcia?" Jonah questioned.

"I'm taking pity on Ferguson," Marcia told her frenemy while Ferguson's eyes got sparkles in them.

"Oh, thank you so much, Marcia! You're a lifesaver!" Ferguson then tried to hug his friend, only for Marcia to keep him at arm's length.

"Please don't. I just got finished with my makeover, and all your tears are going to wreck it."

"She's going to wreck us, probably," Alfonso muttered under his breath with a nervous look on his face, with Comet thinking the exact same thing. Jonah, though, just continued to smirk, thinking that they had this in the bag.

And on that note, the group of eight began their rematch in Halo. Meanwhile, the other girls and MC just looked at what was happening in confusion, wondering whether or not they should do anything about it. Since none of them had anything better to do, though, they all silently decided "screw it" and went to watch.

Spongebob Narrator: One Capture the Flag Session Later...

"WINNER: RED TEAM!"

"YES! YES!" Ferguson pumped his fists into the air in victory.

"Victory is ours!" Killian shouted in triumph.

"Oh, come on!" Jonah complained as he watched his team's winning streak come to a brutal end.

"Forgive me, Comet! I have failed you!" CometFan said with tears in his eyes. He had failed his beloved Comet in the heat of battle.

"I have disappointed you, senpai. Forgive me," Comet said to Alfonso as he bowed his head in disgrace.

"Do not blame yourself, my apprentice," Alfonso said, still trying to sound like a sage or a senpai. "Failure is one of the greatest teachers that life has to offer, and it will help you to become a-"

"Oh, get off it, Dolittle! Marcia just wiped the floor with us!" Jonah snapped, at which point Marcia couldn't restrain herself anymore. She began to celebrate and rub her victory in Jonah's formerly smug face.

"That's right, Ordonia! I totally kicked your butts! Diaz is number one!" Marcia boasted.

What had just transpired was what people would refer to as a "curb-stomp" battle. Since Jonah never really played video games with Comet and the others, he remained unaware of something that Comet, Alfonso, and Ferguson knew all too well: that she was a badass gamer. In her younger days, she would spend hours after school playing video games with the two boys, and she tended to win most of them. In fact, the only reason she hadn't been the one to teach Comet how to play Earth video games was that she wanted to devote that time to karate training.

"You are not just a formidable warrior in real life, Marcia Diaz," Killian told the Human girl. "You are also a badass gamer." Killian then bowed his head as a sign of respect to his teammate.

"Don't act so surprised, Killian. Marcia's pretty awesome at whatever she wants to do," Jackson said, complimenting the girl. "I mean, if it weren't for her, I would've lost my board and right to show my face at the skate park."

Marcia didn't hear the rest of what Jackson had to say, though. All that her brain managed to register were the words, "Marcia's pretty awesome." The result: she started blushing in embarrassment, something that a still sore Jonah quickly took notice of.

"Ohhhh. Marcia's got a boyfriend," the beanie-clad teen teased in a very sing-song voice, prompting Marcia to blush even harder. This, naturally, encouraged Jonah to continue his teasing. "Marcy's got a boyfriend, Marcy's got a boy-urkk!"

Halfway through his singing, Marcia somehow managed to get behind Jonah and locked him into a full nelson.

"Jonah Ordonia, I swear to God that if you don't knock it off, I will bury you six feet under!" Marcia yelled at him as she began to use her years of training to go full Sakura Haruno on the boy, much to the other's concern.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, calm down, you guys!" Comet said as he proceeded to pull Marcia off of Jonah, not wanting to see his two friends fight like this.

"Comet is right, Marcia. We all came here to spend time together as friends, not to make fun of each other like this," Aqua asked Marcia. This was the first sleepover that she had ever gotten to go with friends, and she didn't want to see it ruined by strife and discord.

"Marcia, you know he only does that stuff because he likes annoying you," Jackson calmly told her. "Aqua is right. Let's just focus on enjoying ourselves. As friends."

At this, the tension in the living room began to dissipate, with all the anger leaving Marcia's body as she sat back down on the floor. Despite her best efforts, though, she couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed as Jackson said the word "friends." Most of the teens didn't seem to catch onto this, save for two: the surprisingly eagle-eyed MC and Comet Dragonfly.

"Well, that's super lame," MC muttered under his breath.

*DING*

At that moment, a timer could be heard going off in the kitchen. At this, Comet sprung up from his spot on the couch and said, "Oh, the brownies are done!"

"You made brownies? I love brownies!" Sabrina said in excitement. It was a well-known fact that Sabrina's favorite food was brownies; the girl had a bit of a sweet tooth at times.

"Hey, MC, could you help me get the brownies out of the oven? I want to make sure they're done right," Comet asked the floating unicorn head.

"Anything for you, D-fly," MC said with a grin on his face as he motioned toward the kitchen.

"Wait, you're asking MC to help you?" Marcia couldn't help but notice the red flags that this raised in her mind. "You sure you don't need me to-"

"Earth Turd, girl, I know you're just trying to help and junk, but please. I got this. Leave this Comet's first and original bestie." MC was quick to emphasize that last part in particular. Even after all these months, MC would still remind Marcia that he was Comet's first best friend. Given how much the obnoxious Colthead meant to Comet, she kept her mouth shut whenever he brought it up.

"Fine. Just don't destroy my kitchen."

"Relax, Marcia, it's us. We know what we're doing," Comet said in a manner that was meant to reassure her, but in actuality, it did nothing of the sort. Without saying anything else, the Mewman and Colthead both made their way to the kitchen to check on the brownies Comet made for everyone for his sleepover.

...Is what everyone thought they were doing.

Once they were in the kitchen and out of earshot range, Comet and MC immediately switched gears.

"So, what's the verdict?"

"Yeah, I've seen all that I need to: Earth Turd's got it bad for skater boy," MC said, summing up his own professional opinion. "I mean, I know you said that she was crushing on him, but I didn't think that she would get violent over it. That's how you know that it's bad."

"I know, right? You wouldn't believe how many times I've seen her talk to me about Jackson with this dreamy look on her face," Comet pointed out. "Speaking of which, having gotten to know her a little more, what are your thoughts on Karla?"

"The guitar girl? Well, to be honest, she's not really my type, so I'm not the best judge on this matter," MC admitted. "Having said that, though, I do think that she's pretty cool. She's got this whole laidback vibe to her that makes her approachable, and from what I've seen from her playing at the Bounce Lounge, she's got potential as a performer." As Comet proceeded to open the oven and get his brownie out, MC got a serious look on his face. "So, bro, one last chance. Are you 120% sure that you want to do this? Because if you go through with this, there will be no going back."

"I'm sure, MC," Comet said with utter conviction. "Tonight's going to be the night. The night I finally tell Karla how I feel and ask her out. And just as important, the night where Marcia finally tells Jackson how she feels," he added before taking out the tray of brownies and setting them on the stove.

"All of these months of trying to get Marcia and Jackson closer together, and all the months spending time with Karla, have led to this night. We'll both confess our feelings and get the partners of our dreams, and then we'll live happily ever after. Simple as that."

"I wouldn't really call this simple, bro," MC pointed. "But, yeah, I got what you're going for."

"Now, you said you had something that would give Marcia the final push she needs. Did you remember to bring it?"

"Hells yeah, I brought it," MC enthusiastically told Comet. "It's up in your room right now. Let's just get these bad boys to everyone, get them feeling all happy and stuff, and then, boom! We bring everything out into the open!"

Comet pondered things for a moment as he used his Wand to add magic sprinkles to his brownies. He could still call things off, and no one would be the wiser. Maybe Marcia would confess her feelings on her own. Comet then shook his head at this. No matter how much more confident she'd become in her relationship with Jackson, she was still too nervous to take the next step. So, it was up to him to make her take the leap...by pushing her off the metaphorical cliff.

"MC, as of this moment, Operation: Celestial Matchmaker...shall commence!"

"Aw, yeah. By this time tomorrow, we will get you your girl!" MC proclaimed. "Anything for my brother from another mother!"

Comet gave MC a look as he started to add magic sprinkles to the brownies. "And?"

MC groaned. "And Earth Turd, since I owe her or whatever." MC hated having to admit it, but the Human did play a big role in shutting down Sgt. Oleg's.

"So, you're supposed to be one of Comet's friends from when you were kids, right?" Brittney asked as she sat near Killian.

"Yeah, that about sums it up," Killian said as he continued to play video games. "My Uncle runs the docks on this island in this tropical dimension, and whenever I wasn't training, or my folks were busy, I'd head there. The two of us would train our butts off every day, trying to get as strong as possible." Killian then laughed as he remembered how rough their sparring sessions could sometimes get. "By the end of the day, we'd be lying on the sand with our shirts in tatters and our bodies covered in sweat!"

"Sweating?" The image of the Prince of Mewni running around shirtless on the beach and covered in sweat was almost too much for Brittney. Thankfully, she was able to get rid of the drool on her face before anyone caught it.

Sabrina & Aqua, on the other hand, started to blush like crazy as they began to think along those exact same lines. Aqua especially since she had seen Comet many times in naught but his undergarments or swimwear. And every time she did, she couldn't help but notice just how he was already gaining muscle on him despite not even hitting Mewberty yet.

The fact of the matter was this: all three of these girls were crushing on Comet hard. Besides being a Prince and super good-looking, Comet had managed to change each of their lives for the better. Comet had gotten Brittney to let go of her alpha-bitch mindset and start patching up her friendship with Marcia. That, in turn, gave Sabrina a chance to step out of Brittney's shadow and develop as her own person. And Aqua? He had saved Aqua's life not once but twice now. In short, each of these girls had agreed to this sleepover in the hope that they could get closer to Comet.

Actually, Aqua was already planning to take things further. She had come to this sleepover with the express plan of telling Comet her feelings for him. She had held a candle for him for quite a while now, and spending time with him on Earth had only reaffirmed her taking things to the next step.

So, when Comet and MC came back into the living room with a plateful of hot, fresh brownies, the girls' hearts beat ever so fast. His brilliant smile, the heart on his cheek, his amazing blonde hair, and his bright and expressive blue eyes. He looked like a young Adonis!

"I know we ordered pizza earlier tonight, but I hope you still have room for dessert! Because these were made by yours truly!" Comet couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and satisfaction as each of his friends took one of the brownies that he had worked so hard to make. This was the first time he ever tried to make anything on his own, and he wanted to ensure that he lived up to the standards his father and grandfather had set regarding the culinary arts.

"So, give me your honest opinion: are they good, or are they good?" Comet eagerly awaited his friend's opinion on the first thing he ever baked.

No one responded to Comet's question right away. Firstly, because they were still in the process of eating the brownies. Secondly...because they were trying to keep themselves from trying to gag.

The brownies that Comet had made were...awful. Like, everyone felt the instinctive reflex to throw up what they were eating. They would've done so, too, were it not for the fact that Comet was standing right in front of them. Seeing him look so happy about having baked something all on his own, none of his friends had the heart to tell him the truth. So, they did what any good friend would: lie.

"They...so good," Marcia said as she finished swallowing hers. She had a feeling that she might need to run to the bathroom later.

"They're something, all right," Killian told Comet as he finished his.

"So good, right?" Jackson nervously asked the others. Rather than say something, Jonah, Brittney, and MC (AKA the ones with the sharpest tongues) simply nodded.

"They're...they're good," Sabrina said as she tried to hold what she ate down.

"It was an experience," Karla simply said.

"I have never had anything like this before," Aqua admitted. Which wasn't a lie. Living underwater meant that their choices in food usually didn't include the kind that got soggy when wet.

"Good, they are," was all Alfonso could get out. "Right, Ferg?"

"Mm-hmm," Ferguson nodded.

The only one who didn't say anything was CometFan13. Much to everyone's surprise, he kept shoveling the brownie into his mouth. Not because he liked them, though, and he just didn't want to hurt Comet's feelings and let anyone else suffer stomachaches.

Thankfully, all the brownies eventually disappeared, with Comet seemingly none the wiser about anything.

"Well, I'm glad you liked them because they were a little treat for us before our main group activity tonight," Comet happily said as he balanced himself on the balls of his feet.

"Awww. But I want to play more Halo," Ferguson whined.

"Trust me, big guy," MC said as he shook off the bad dessert. "The game that D-fly and I have got planned is gonna be waay better than this crap."

"This isn't something lame like 'spin the bottle,' is it?" Brittney was not down for that idea. Even if that could give her a shot at kissing Comet, she didn't like her odds. Especially how some of the boys present were...less than living up to her standards.

"Nah, girl. Better." MC got this grin on his face as he said that.

Marcia suddenly felt a cold shiver run down her spine.

A few minutes later, the eleven teenagers gathered in Comet's bedroom. A small, blue-green, glowing box lay on the ground in the center of the circle they had formed.

"Feast your eyes on the ultimate sleepover game: Truth or Punishments!" MC said in his most dramatic voice possible.

"MC, it's a box," Marcia said, not understanding what the floating horse head was trying to do.

"It's not just a box, Earth Turd," MC scoffed. "It's all about telling your friends your deepest, darkest secrets. The kind of secrets that, once out in the open, can never be taken back and could potentially alter the course of your entire life!"

"Wow," everyone said in awe. Everyone, that is, except for Marcia and Sabrina. The two of them weren't the kind of people that were willing to share their secrets with other people.

"Um, quick question. What will happen if we don't tell the truth?" Sabrina nervously asked.

MC chuckled at this. "Oh, poor, poor girl. They say things will happen to those who refuse to tell the truth. Terrible things," he finished, his voice taking on a dark and menacing tone.

Red flag! Marcia immediately got up from where she was sitting on the floor, with Sabrina doing the same. "Okay, this all sounds like fun and everything, but...I'm out." Marcia made a beeline for the door, with the cheerleader following close behind.

"Cowards!" Jonah booed at them, but neither girl paid him any mind.

Not wanting to see them leave, Comet got up from the floor and said, "excuse me for a moment." Then, before either girl could make it to the door, Marcia got pinned to the ground by Comet. Surprisingly, Brittney had gotten up to do the same thing to the likes of Sabrina, much to her dismay.

"Comet, what the heck? Also, be careful where you put your hands, buddy!"

"Brittney, please let me go!"

"Come on, guys, what's the problem? Why don't you wanna play?"

"Look, I just...don't think that some things are better kept secret, alright," Marcia admitted to Comet, though she wasn't looking at him. Comet followed her line of sight and saw where her gaze had gone: Jackson Lee Thomas.

"Brittney, please don't make me do this," Sabrina pleaded with the former head cheerleader. "This is making me feel very uncomfortable!"

Brittney couldn't help but feel sympathy for Sabrina. The memories of years of bullying her remained fresh in both teenagers' heads, and this was coming very close to repeating history. However, Brittney had her own reasons for doing this.

"Look, Sabrina. I know that this whole thing might make you feel uncomfortable. But unless you're willing to step outside your comfort zone and try new things, then how can you expect to grow as a person? Do you want to keep being the same meek little girl that I've known for all these years, or do you want to become the captain of the cheerleading squad that you're trying to be?"

"I want to be the captain of the cheerleading squad," Sabrina nervously said.

"Good, Backintosh. Then you get up off this floor, come back to the circle, and play whatever game the talking horsehead wants us to play!" Brittney then turned towards Marcia. "And the same goes for you too, Diaz! Don't let your fear of humiliation dictate how you want to live your life!'

"Yes, join us!" Jonah shouted in the background, with the rest of the teens beginning to encourage them to do so.

Marcia didn't know if it was because of peer pressure, Brittney's surprisingly inspiring speech, or the fact that Comet wouldn't likely let her leave, but ultimately, Marcia caved in. Reluctantly, she forced Comet off of her before walking back to the group, much to their joy. Sabrina followed suit, but that didn't stop her from looking like a nervous wreck as she took a seat next to Aqua.

"Do not worry, Sabrina," Aqua said in a very calm and reassuring tone. "You are among friends here, and friends do not judge friends for their secrets." Sabrina wasn't entirely sure if that was true, but what the Mermaid princess said did help her calm down.

"Don't you think that you were a little harsh on her?" Comet whispered to Brittney Wong as they watched the two girls rejoin the group.

"Nah. I was just doing it to give her more confidence. It's high time that she learns that," Brittney whispered back before the two rejoined the others.

"So, the rules are simple," MC explained. "The Cube will ask us three questions, each question is harder than the last, and all we have to do is answer them. Now, let us begin." MC then clapped his ears together (how he did that, nobody knew), prompting the room to go dark. Then, the Cube began to glow.

"Whoa."

"Trippy."

*Snap*

"And save to my photo album," Jonah said as he whipped out his phone.

MC then licked the Cube, much to everyone's confusion, at which point, the Cube began to thrum and vibrate. Then, it spoke.

"Deceit and fables, lies and fiction, even with complete conviction."

"I like its voice," Ferguson whispered to Alfonso.

"If truth is absent from these events, all will face the punishments."

"Umm, what does that mean?" CometFan13 asked.

"It means that if we lie, terrible things will happen!" Jonah said in the spookiest voice possible, which earned him a slap on the shoulder from Marcia. The Cube then opened at its base, revealing a strange mouth.

"Pledge an oath of truth. Pinky swear to me."

Everyone looked at each other nervously for a moment, wondering which one of them would be the first to step forward. Being the kind who would jump headlong into danger, Comet ended up being the one to do so.

"I promise to tell the truth," he calmly told the Cube. Everyone else then began to follow suit.

"I know I'm gonna regret this," Marcia said under her breath, but she held out her pinky and said, "the truth."

"The truth," next went Jackson.

"Swearsies," Alfonso and Ferguson said at the same time. "Jinx," they went again. "Double jinx! Drat!"

"Nothing but the truth," CometFan13 pledged.

"Whatever," Brittney said.

"Bleh." MC couldn't say anything since he had to use his tongue.

"The truth," Killian said.

"No secrets shall be kept," Aqua said without hesitation.

"The truth," Sabrina said.

"The truth, man," Karla said.

"The truth, or whatever," Jonah said without giving it much thought.

"Now, let us begin the game. The game...of Truth or Punishments!"

"Is it just me, or does his voice sound familiar?" Ferguson couldn't help but out as the Cube began to float in the air as started glowing even more.

"Oh ho ho, this was a great idea, MC! I love it already," Comet complimented his bestie from Mewni. All they had to do was answer a few questions, and then he would declare his feelings for Karla in the most exciting way possible. It was foolproof!

"The first question!" came the booming voice of the Cube as a little screen began to spin on it. "What is...your...favorite color?"

"Huh?"

...

"Favorite color? What kind of stupid question is that?" Brittney asked, irritated that all that build-up seemed to have been for nothing.

"Lame. I thought this was going to be dark and revealing, not this weaksauce," Jonah complained.

Everyone began to look at MC, disappointed that he had seemingly wasted their time.

"Okay, look, people, maybe the first question's just meant to be really easy to, uh, throw us off guard. Maybe the second one will be super hard. Something like, 'have you ever killed a person?' And after saying that out loud, I just realized that that's also super easy."

"I mean, it would still be admitting that you killed someone, so..." Ferguson didn't want to finish the rest of that sentence and just let the implications hang in the air.

Marcia snapped her fingers. "Focus, guys," she said in an irritated tone. "MC, you started this thing. Favorite color, now."

"Oh, right," MC said as he got back on track. "Colthead."

"What? How is that an-"

"TRUTH!" the Cube's booming voiced shouted, much to Marcia's disbelief.

"How is that an answer?! That's not even a color!"

"Trust me, Earth Turd. It's a very popular color on Mewni."

"I can attest to that!" Comet added. Since Marcia was more inclined to believe Comet than MC, she kept her mouth shut.

Next, it was Comet's turn. "Rainbow."

"And that's more than one color!"

"He's not lying, though, so it counts!" the Cube stated.

"What can I say? I like all the colors," Comet admitted with a shrug. "Choosing just one wouldn't be fair.

"I'll also say rainbow since that's what Comet said," CometFan13 told everyone. Marcia still couldn't believe that they went with that.

"Jackson, please tell me you have an actual favorite?"

"Yep. Neon green. Try to have it in everything I wear," Jackson proudly admitted. "You?"

"Red. Have you ever seen me not wear it?" Marcia responded.

"Well, I like goldenrod yellow," Sabrina was next to say.

"I like emerald green," Killian told everyone.

"Well, I like black. Like the color of my soul," Jonah proclaimed.

"Oh, yeah. Black's probably my second favorite color," Jackson commented, earning him a high five from Jonah.

"Bright red for me, just like my hair," Ferguson told everyone.

"Blue for me," Alfonso told everyone.

"Umm...whatever color my car is, I guess?" Karla said, not sure what color it really was. Rusted red, maybe?

"Well, mine is magenta. Purple is, after all, the color of royalty," Brittney was the last to go, causing Marcia to give her a disapproving look.

"Really, Brittney? Don't you think your ego's big enough as it is?" Marcia snarked.

"Whatever, Diaz. I look fabulous in it, and you know it."

The teen's banter stopped, though. Suddenly, the room filled with red light coming from the Cube. Then its loud, booming voice rang out.

"So sorry, but it looks like somebody is LYING!"

Without warning, bolts of red lightning shot out from the Cube, arcing their way toward the teens. Before any of them could react, the bolts of magical electricity enveloped their bodies...and tickled them. The room became filled with the sound of uncontrollable laughter.

"HAHAHAHHAAHAHA! TICKLE TORTURE! THIS-HAHAHA-IS A NIGHTMARE!" Marcia said as she couldn't stop herself from laughing.

"MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP! PLEASE!" Ferguson pleaded as he could barely control his bodily functions.

"THIS IS NOT HOW I WANNA DIE!" Karla admitted as she failed to suppress her forced laughter.

"WHOEVER-HAHAAHAHA-WAS LYING-HAHAHA-PLEASE SAY-HEHEH-SOMETHING. IT'S TICKLING MY BRAIN!" Comet found himself struggling to even think, the torture was so bad.

"WHO, HEHEHEH, LIED BETTER FESS UP. OTHERWISE I'LL, HAHAHA, MAKE THEIR LIVES A, HAHAHAHA, LIVING HELL!" Brittney yelled as she found herself starting to pass out from asphyxiation.

Finally, someone decided to swallow their pride and fess up.

"OKAYFINEMYFAVORITECOLORISPINK!" It was Jonah.

"TRUTH!" the Cube rang out as it turned bright green, with the lightning subsiding.

As the teens took a few moments to calm themselves down, take deep breaths, (and make sure they didn't wreck their clothes), they all looked at Jonah.

"PINK!? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" Everyone yelled at Jonah, pretty pissed that he made them go through that because he wasn't willing to admit that. That, and they didn't that was really Jonah's favorite color.

Jonah held his hands up in a submissive pose as he tried to keep them from tearing him limb from him. "Alright, look, I know you guys wanna strangle me right now-"

"Very. Much." Brittney admitted.

"-But I just didn't want anyone to think less of me for it. I've got a reputation to uphold," he sheepishly admitted.

"Bruh," MC gave Jonah a look that was straight out of a meme, "do you think we buy the fact that you give a shit about what other people think about you. And also, real men shouldn't be afraid to admit they like pink. The ones that do are basically telling everyone, 'I'm so confident in my manliness that this does not threaten me,' or whatever."

That was one of the most profound things MC had ever said to anyone.

"Okay!" Marcia said as she got up off the floor. "So, that was...fun and all, but as much as I would like to continue this game...I would rather put up with Jeremy Birnbaum than go through another round of that. I'm out!" With that, Marcia headed for the door.

Too bad for her, the Cube didn't except quitters.

"So sorry, young lady, but once you have made the pinky swear, there is no leaving the game. You either admit the truth..."

As if events couldn't get weirder (even by Comet's standards), the Cube began to suck all of the light out of the room. Then, the room itself began to change and transform as multiple lights, like those found on a circuit breaker, began to jut and extend from the Cube's body. Within a few seconds, the entirety of Comet Dragonfly's bedroom was enveloped inside a giant cube, isolating it from the outside world, and trapping its occupants inside.

"...or face the punishments," the Cube finished on its ominous note.

"Uhhh, guys? I can't get to the door." Marcia tried banging on the wall where the door should've been, only to be met by failure. "Why can't I get to the door!?"

"Dude...I think we're stuck inside the game," Karla said, her unseen eyes widening at the realization.

"Wait, wait, wait. Time out," Ferguson said as he used his arms to make a "T." "So, are you saying that we have to play the game..."

"Or we can't leave. We're trapped in here!" Killian grimly noted.

That realization sank in for everyone present. There was only thing that any of them could say to express their feelings regarding this development, though.

"Oh, crapbaskets."

*In Jay's Workspace, we see Janna tapping some buttons onto a holo projector, which then reveals an image of RJ "Jay" Writing Ink, armed with bowcaster and eyes yellow and bloodshot from lemon juice.*

Jay: Hey guys, RJ Writing Ink here. I just wanted to apologize for not doing the intro myself or telling you guys about the passing of Slick Goku. But like Kermit said, I am currently getting ready to hunt for mischievous cupids who want to create crack pairings. Plus, it's been two weeks since Slick's passing, and I've had plenty of time to process it. It took a lot of fans by surprise. That's why you won't see Slick in my intro's and outros anymore. But I did post a short story on my blog, "In Slick's Wake." It depicts a wake held in his honor at his character's bar and all his friends from YouTube are there to remember him. Go check out my blog, RJ Writing Ink, if you want to read it.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed part one of "Sleepover." This is the first big gamechanger I have planned for Book 2, and I wanted to do the show justice. I got almost everyone in Comet and Marcia's circle together, save for Tammy, but I have reasons for that. Expect things to start hitting the fan next chapter as characters start revealing some big stuff. No spoilers, though.

Enough about that, though. It's time for

READERS REVIEWS

NightAroma-Yeah, I thought that stuff out with Jonah. I thought it would be funny

I did think about keeping the Echo Creek Police Department as comic relief, but...alright, given what's happening with cops in America right now, I thought it would be a good idea to show them actually doing their job's right. No comic relief, no being useless, and NO ABUSING THEIR POWER. I'm fed up with that!

And yeah, I was trying to make Wilhelm seem more tragic. I don't like Mina became this unrepentant sociopath.

And no plot hole digging about that line! I will address that when I get to it!

LockAnKey989-Honestly, I think it would've been better if that arrow had killed Mina or she drowned in the magic. Or the end of magic restored her sanity. Just don't let her run around.

Julayla-I sure did.

Ted Glass-Yes, yes, it does. You will see her soon...ish.

Pedro-That would've taken too long to write, and I wanted this to be resolved peacefully so that Comet could see how his idol is not someone he should look up to.

JasonRobotnik-I love your enthusiasm, and I will try and do so. I am all about those shout-outs. But I'm also only one guy, and can only do so much. Check out Book 1, though. There are more than a few shoutouts there.

And I will do what I want with the realm of magic. I have a plan!

The Wandering Hippie-Yeah, you're right about all that. And yes, Lucille is taken from The Walking Dead. I never even watched that show and I knew about the bat.

And sadly, I wasn't joking with Jonah. Riots have happened for the dumbest reasons.

Glad you loved Marcia and Jackson's reactions, though. I'm sure most teens would react like that.

Comet's "no mind" state was more a reference to Inside Out than SpongeBob, though.
