It was like a switch was flicked, one second everything was good then he grabbed me and I instantly knew that I needed to put space between us. I started to move away and for a second thought I would be okay. Then a sharp pain pulsed through my scalp and I was being pulled backwards by my hair. My heart rate quickened and I felt a sharp stab of fear. It only took a second before my face was slammed into the wall. Blood poured down my face accompanied by the worst pain of my life and an instant headache.
An hand appeared in front of my mouth and I bit down. It just enraged him and he slammed my head towards wall again. More pain. More fear. He loosened his grip and I knew that this was my chance to escape . I ducked, swivelled and turned to face him. The movement sent a renewed wave of pain through me but I pushed through and with as much strength I could muster I threw a punch. It missed.
That was it, he surged forward and shoved his arm against my throat and I was forced back against the wall. I knew is was futile but I couldn't stop fighting. I clawed at his arms and face while tears silently streamed down my checks. He started pushing harder against my throat. I couldn't breath. My lungs were on fire. As the world slipped away I heard, 'you should have just come home with me, it would have been so much better for you
