Great…
Well… everything is fine, I'm just somewhere in some mountain, to who knows where. cool, cool, no need to panic… just remember what you learned at the survival lessons: "If you feel lost for good, set base for the time being, use materials around you.". Only problem is that it's so snowy and dark I can't see any materials to work with.
My eyes are very accustomed to dark places so I don't think that dark should stop me, but this cold is killing me. Well, now that I am looking at my surroundings, I notice a stone mound in the upper hill of the mountain leading to the top and a somewhat flat ground surrounding it. I could make something out of that, but what can I do with that…
"Think Plyush!" I thought to myself "Think outside the box!"
…
Box…
…
THAT'S IT!
I'm gonna build a pillbox! I think I got some cement mix and masonry tools in my ammo can "stash", but this is gonna take some time, but for the moment being, I'm gonna need a base to plan out the rest of my journey, I got a "little" time.
Day 1: I started by picking as much stone I could gather from the mounds, and also made a small cave from the mounds to sleep in while cement dries off. but for now I dedicated this day to ground the stones into the perfect size to optimize strength within the mix.
Day 2: I started exploring uphill to see what other materials I could use, and I stumbled upon yet another shrine, I sneak towards it to see what I could use and I see that this shrine also has a shed, albeit this one more lavish and big. I take a peek inside from an open window and I see quite the materials, but my eyes are caught upon multiple wooden boards of varying sizes, perfect for making the cement pit, walls and foundation for my pillbox. I think they won't be needing these for the time being…
Day 3: Concrete Mixing time. I've set multiple molds for the floor, roof, walls and such. I pour the mix in all of them. The floor mold is flooded with the mix in a 5.3 x 3.2 meter area mold, various walls up to 2 meters tall and roof layers to stack them up and glue with the mix later on. With these snowy conditions, I give it 3 full days for it to dry enough to handle into pillbox shape and a whole month to cure completely. All I can do is take a big lunch break with the food supplies I brought from the Outside.
Day 6: "Dry enough!" I said to myself as I inspected the concrete building blocks, let's do this!
I made a total of 5 walls, 1 for the big main one, 2 side ones, but 2 were placed away from each other to the sides to make a hole for a door. I begin by digging deep rectangular holes next to the floor to insert the walls into place, and use fresh concrete mix to glue the sides of the floor to the walls, It's a big pain in the ass to lift the walls into the holes, but once they insert themselves, they fit like a glove. Once I have the walls inserted, I use the remaining wooden boards to wedge them in between the ground and the walls so that the concrete glue works its magic and avoid the walls from falling.
I layer the walls up in the top of the walls, using some concrete supports and some wooden boards to make a upwards ramp, glue the top of the walls and layer the first one, then I smother more mix for the second layer, then the third, forth, and finish with the fifth and final layer.
*Yawn* "Damn, this oughta be my biggest project so far!" I said to myself. I love that feeling of accomplishment when things go right with so little and hard work.
"Yes, it's very… Brutalist." A soft yet firm and elegant voice responded to my back.
I let out a surprise yelp as I feel a chill crawl up my "Spine". I turn around and see a tall and slender woman looking at me.
She is wearing a dark blue single piece full arm dress that stops till the thighs with frills at the end of it, white cuffs and a white apron tightly fitted to her waist. Under her dress she wears a fancy white shirt with a green arranged ribbon hanging from the shirt's collar, partially hidden by the brown scarf she is wearing, then my attention is captured by the twin braids with 2 green miniature bow ties in the ends of them. I raise my gaze up to her head. She has hair as white as the snow itself, with a headband decorating her beautiful hair, blue eyes comparable to two light sapphires, and silk white skin… so bright… I'd bet 100,000 roubles her skin is soft and smooth…
"You know for someone who just arrived here, it is very hard to find you" The woman says to me
I break off my trance to respond back to the lady
"Who are you? How'd you find me?...How long were you there for?"
"Enough to analyze your potential for my master"
She then approaches me slowly, I could try to make a run for it, but her beauty keeps me hypnotized, her stride is as elegant as a swan floating on a moon litten lake. I noticed that she has a garter belt with knives in her right thigh, that sobered me up to prepare for what's about to happen. I reach for my holster in my right, but I feel emptiness… nothing! I look at my holster in surprise and I look everywhere, I look behind me, and to my dismay… My revolver is laying on the ground beside my tools, when did I drop it?! Did I forget to strap the leather?!
She suddenly stops in front of me and reaches her hand to her right. I close my eyes and look away in anticipation for the worst.
…
…
…huh?
I open my eyes in confusion, I'm still standing, well and ok. I look back at the lady and notice she is extending her arm to hand me something, she was handing me an envelope.
"My mistress has recently become aware of your existence and requires your presence at once. in this envelope you will find details of why you are required, Location of my mistress' manor and requirements to enter. We expect you soon."
I grab the envelope, looking down upon it, it was a Scarlet red envelope with a white seal that had a stylized letter S in the middle, but then begs the question…
"How did you know ab-" I say to the lady, but she is nowhere to be seen. Just a moment she was standing RIGHT in front of me, but she vanished, not even a trail of footsteps left on the snow.
I try to hold on to my sanity as I look towards the horizon of the sky, and I can see that the sun is starting to dawn. I stayed there for a while before heading inside the recently finished Pillbox to sleep well.
All while looking at the envelope on my way inside.
