The Tamer v3.0 - Bold New Frontier

Chapter 17: Cherubimon

Agunimon and Kumamon hurried through the forest towards where BurningGreymon had flown off. They hurried past groups of digimon hiding among the trees to escape the fighting, some wondering whether they should run further away while others worried about being found by the dragon again. Kumamon wanted to tell them things would be alright, but he couldn't bring himself to lie. There was so much happening all at once…first things first, they would have to defeat BurningGreymon. Then Tamer would have to explain what else was in his head.

They reached a large clearing where they witnessed BurningGreymon locked in combat with an armored white wolf that vaguely resembled Lobomon if he was running around on all fours.

"Who is that? Another Guardian Spirit?" Kumamon asked.

"That would be KendoGarurumon," Agunimon answered quietly. "That evens out the fight a bit but we still need to stop BurningGreymon before the D-Reaper does anything else."

KendoGarurumon and BurningGreymon traded bouts a few times as they charged at each other, accomplishing little more than slamming each other against trees and forests.

"THAT POWER IS MINE!" BurningGreymon roared.

"OVER MY DEAD BODY!" KendoGarurumon shouted back.

"I'M WORKING ON IT!" BurningGreymon answered.

"Yeah, we'd better stop this before they kill each other," Agunimon said quickly, punching a hand into his fist to create sparks of ember. He threw a punch behind himself and launched himself forward with a blast of fire towards burningGreymon.

"Tamer, wait! Dammit," Kumamon cursed under his breath, wishing that Tamer would take a minute to at least explain whatever he was thinking. If there was anything to explain at all.

"Kumamon!" Kazemon called out, landing beside him and joined shortly by Beetlemon. The two of them were barely standing as they were and looked ready to fall over. Kumamon's fist tightened, not wanting to live through a repeat of the fight with those Legendary Warriors.

Kumamon needed a moment longer to calm his fist before asking, "I'm glad you guys are alright. What did we miss?"

"Lobomon found another one of the Guardian spirits and now he's using it to fight BurningGreymon. Also there's an angry rock guy screaming at us about stealing from him," Beetlemon explaining, gesturing at the little rock digimon that was screaming at them.

"It's Gotsumon to you and you stole that power from me! I was going to use it to save the world!" Gotsumon proclaimed.

"Can't we talk about this after the dragon stops trying to kill us? We've got a lot on our plate right now," Kazemon pointed the giant dragon digimon out to Gotsumon.

"What the hell do you think I mean!?" Gotsumon protested.

"GUYS!" Agunimon landed beside them, kicking up a small cloud of dust, "Perfect. KendoGarurumon can fight BurningGreymon to a stand still but we'll still need to pull the D-Reaper out of its head if we want to recapture the power of the Guardian Spirit."

"Wait, you can do that?" Kazemon asked.

Agunimon nodded and produced his digivice, "In theory, yes. We just need to put the D-Reaper under enough duress to dissociate its mind from the physical form of BurningGreymon. Normally, we'd have beat it to within an inch of its life. However, the D-Reaper did just regain conscious control over a physical body so all this movement is using up more concentration than it normally would. So just overwhelming it by giving it too much to concentrate on should be enough."

Kumamon was stunned, amazed at how quickly Agunimon had explained that. After a moment, Beetlemon spoke out, "I suddenly don't feel comfortable with fighting those other warriors. Or you."

Beetlemon made a point of making eye contact with Agunimon when he said that last part.

"So we all just have to dog-pile on BurningGreymon. Sounds easy enough," Kazemon said, just as a blast of fire shot over their heads and singed the tops of some nearby trees. Kumamon was entirely unsure if she was being sarcastic when she said that.

If she was being sarcastic, Agunimon didn't appear to pick up on it, "I'm glad you agree. Just throw everything you have at it and keep moving! If we disorient it enough, I can pull it out of its head and we can end this here."

"And what happens to the D-Reaper and the Guardian Spirit after that?" Kumamon asked, afraid he already knew the answer without hearing it. Agunimon tapped his head grimly and Kumamon was glad he asked. Tamer was just going to put the D-Reaper back inside his head. Was that any better than having it running around with BurningGreymon's body. And with so many other voices inside Tamer's head, Kumamon was unsure just how Tamer wasn't going crazy. Although there was an argument to be made that he was too crazy to be driven any crazier.

"You'd better return it to me when you're all done!" the Gotsumon protested, reminding them all of its presence.

"I'm sorry, who are you?" Agunimon asked the little digimon.

"GOTSUMON! WHEN WILL YOU PEOPLE LISTEN TO ME!?" the little rock digimon fumed, stamping his feet on the ground like a child throwing a tantrum.

"Right, well then! Be a good mon and do us a favor? Wait, right here while we deal with the angry dragon. Then we'll help you out with…whatever you're upset about," Agunimon said, before leaping away to rejoin the fight. Gotsumon stamped his feet, even angrier at the turn of events while Agunimon leapt around the open field to shoot fire at BurningGreymon from every angle.

Kumamon looked between Kazemon and Beetlemon, and knew they were all thinking the same thing. None of them wanted to put that D-Reaper back inside The Digimon Tamer's head.

"I really don't want to do this," Beetlemon mumbled.

"If you have any better options, I'm all ears," Kumamon said, really hoping that either Beetlemon or Kazemon would have some better alternative. But none of them could come up with anything better so they charged out into the battle - each of them going a different direction to surround BurningGreymon.

BurningGreymon and KendoGarurumon continued to charge and ram each other, taking turns at attack and defense without ever really getting anywhere. Every time an opening presented itself, one of the others would take the chance to strike.

"LIGHTNING BLITZ!"

"ROSEO TEMPORALE!"

"ICICLE PUNCH!"

"PYRO TORNADO!"

The attacks struck from every angle, throwing BurningGreymon off balance as he struggled to focus on all the attackers. The rampaging digimon snarled and hissed at every one of them as they attacked, charging and striking whenever any of them got close enough. But with so many of them attacking it from so many angles at once, it was impossible for it to keep track of them all. Something they used to their advantage. The moment BurningGreymon began to focus its attention on any one of them, another would strike it to pulls it attention away. On and on this repeated until they had BurningGreymon stumbling along the ground.

"This…can't be how it ends…there's too many," BurningGreymon hissed, struggling to keep himself upright. As it tried to get back up, they watched the dragon digimon flicker for a moment. It was like watching, a television or a computer screen distort an image. Only in real life. And more than a little sickening to look at.

"HOLD HIM!" Agunimon shouted, taking a running leap onto the digimon's head. He landed behind its head and wrapped his legs around his neck to hold him in place. Kumamon and the others rushed to join Agunimon, each grabbing a separate part of the digimon's body. Kumamon was too small to actually hold BurningGreymon down so he did the next best thing and used his ice to help pin the creature to the ground. It would have worked too, if BurningGreymon didn't become incorporeal every time he flickered.

"What's happening?" Beetlemon asked as he slid through the incorporeal digimon for a split second.

"We can't hold him like this!" Kazemon shouted to Agunimon who was still managing to hold on to the digimon with his legs around his neck. BurningGreymon could barely summon the energy to throw the smaller digimon off him.

"I've almost got him!" Agunimon shouted, assuring them that he had some form of control over the situation. He had both of his hands wrapped around BurningGreymon's skull and a look of deep concentration on his face. "I just need a couple more seconds! And! SLEEP!"

As he said those words, BurningGreymon became completely incorporeal. The digimon flickered for a moment, its body becoming completely incorporeal and leaving Agunimon floating inside the air. Then its body turned into light and dissipated into the same cloud of data they'd seen several times before. Data that Agunimon pulled into himself and swallowed as it became a part of himself. Agunimon gently floated to the ground, steadying himself and resting a hand on his head.

"Gah, I hate doing that. That's twice I've had to put D-Reaper in my head," Agunimon said before regressing back into The Digimon Tamer. Tamer continued to massage his temple and made his way back towards them. "Are you guys okay?"

"Yeah. Are you?" Kumamon eyed him cautiously. It was hard to tell who was in control at the moment, although he really wanted to believe it was Tamer right now. Because if it wasn't…what would they do against the D-Reaper in Tamer's body?

"Yeah…just…headache. The D-Reaper really ain't happy about being in my body again," he replied quietly, massaging his temple. "Yes, please keep screaming. We both could really use the headache right now, huh? That's right. Yup. Let it all out."

"KILL HIM! KILL HIM NOW!" the Guardian Spirit's voice echoed inside Kumamon's head. If this was what he was hearing, he didn't want to think about what the D-Reaper was doing inside Tamer's head. But he didn't understand why Kumamon's spirit was so angry about all of it. It wasn't like he would be able to take either Agunimon or the D-Reaper. He'd seen the Tamer do some crazy stuff without Spirit Evolution, so there was no telling what he could do with it. But he was pretty sure it would be on par with what the D-Reaper could do with BurningGreymon.

"The D-Reaper?" Kumamon asked quietly, still keeping a cautious eye on Tamer as he made his way around to the others. Tamer nodded and continued to massage his temple, before finally noticing the looks that the others were giving him.

"What? It's just a headache," Tamer said matter of factly.

"We just want to be sure it actually is you, y'know," Kazemon said nervously. "And not…the D-Reaper again."

Tamer's shoulder slumped, "Right…this, again. What do you want me to say?"

"Say something only you would," Kazemon proposed. Tamer put a hand to chin, deep in thought about what he could say.

"That's a tough question to answer. I know you guys don't trust me because I haven't really been the most forthcoming. Ironically, I'm also the most forthcoming because I've already told you guys quite a bit about myself but you guys usually don't believe anything I say. Though I suppose it doesn't matter because none of you ever took me up on that offer to share about yourselves," Tamer laughed.

"Okay, you can stop. That sounds like you," Beetlemon groaned, finally regressing back into JP. Kumamon was still a little uneasy but watching the others regress back to their human forms was enough for him to change back as well. However, he still minded his distance from Tamer just in case.

"What else aren't you telling us?" Koji demanded from Tamer, watching as Tamer strode away as if they hadn't just battled for their lives. That thing they had battled got loose because Tamer was unconscious and he was left to wonder what else could get out because of it? What other dark secrets was Tamer keeping from them?

"I wet the bed until I was ten," Tamer replied nonchalantly.

"You are such an asshole!" JP groaned. "That's not what he meant and you know it!"

"I meant are there any other dark secrets you'd like to tell us? Any other dangerous voices inside your head?" Koji answered seriously, folding his arms expectantly. "Let me give you an example: the voice of both the Guardian Spirits - Lobomon and KendoGarurumon - are telling me to kill you now before the D-Reaper gets out again. In fact, that's all they've been saying for the last few minutes. Anything like that you'd like to share?"

"My best friend died and now a fragment of his voice lives inside my head," Tamer replied quietly.

"Y'know what? I think I was better off on my own," Koji replied quietly.

Tamer raised an eyebrow, "Didn't we save you from being dangled upside and dropped off a cliff?"

"Was that before or after an entire section of the Digital World was turned to nothing?" Koji countered, reminding them of how their encounter with the snail digimon ended.

"Okay, point," Tamer frowned. "The-"

"HOLD UP!" Gotsumon screamed, jumping between them to point an accusatory finger at Koji. Koji would've reeled if he wasn't listening to the Guardian Spirits screaming inside his head. He'd never known Lobomon to be so…violent, but it was making it hard to hear anything the little rock digimon was saying. "Give me the Guardian Spirit! It's mine! I found it first!"

"Ill get to you in a minute!" Koji snapped at the little rock creature.

"No! Give me the Guardian Spirit now!" Gotsumon growled, kicking Koji in the shin. Koji didn't think the little guy could kick so hard. Then again, it probably didn't matter since he was a rock. He leapt up on one foot, rubbing his leg while the angry Gotsumon rattled on. "You have no idea how far I had to come to get it. How many riddles I had to solve! All the history I had to dig up! I'm not going to lose my one chance at saving the world to some kids who showed up out of nowhere!"

Koji looked down at the rock creature, producing his digivice from his back pocket, "And how are you going to wield a Guardian Spirit without one of these?"

"A digivice?" Gotsumon paused, turning to look at all of them with a wide eyed surprise as his anger slowly cooled. "Are you guys the digidestined? Wait, I thought the girl was supposed to be a red head! Or was it brunette?"

"What? You've heard of us?" Zoe asked, ignoring the part about how the rock digimon implied she wasn't blonde. Or perhaps she wasn't and she dyed her hair. Koji made a mental note about that in the back of his mind as the rock digimon took another look around at them.

"Let's see…if there's five of you…that would make you guys…the ones with the eggs? Weird, where's the one who's supposed to be evil?" the Gotsumon asked. "Also, the books never said anything about a fat one. Did one of you let yourselves go?"

"I'm about to let you go off a cliff," JP stepped forward to strangle the digimon only to be held back by Zoe.

"No, he's talking about the group before you guys," Tamer remarked quietly. "The ones who saved the Digital World before you. Who did you think Gatomon was talking about?"

"There were others before us," Zoe said quietly, repeating the phrase to herself a few more times.

"Then why the hell aren't they here? If you ask me, it sounds like they would actually want to be here saving the Digital World which is a lot more than I can say about us!" JP pointed out. It was a point Koji had to agree with. As Koji thought back on Gatomon's words, he even recalled the cat mentioning having friends back in their world. So why weren't they here?

"This doesn't have anything to do with that prophecy crap, does it? Because this stuff sounds more contrived the more we hear about it," Koji reasoned quietly, observing Tamer carefully for any sign that his next few words would be a lie. Although the irony wasn't lost on Koji that the stuff he said was often too bizarre to be made up.

Tamer shrugged, "Good question! No idea why they're not here. To be frank, I don't know why they're not here now. They should be able to travel freely between worlds."

"If they can travel between worlds then why can't we?" Zoe asked, jumping on the same thought Koji was just having.

Thankfully, Tamer's answer was a lot simpler, "The fact is these digivices don't work the same way as theirs. They could never use it become digimon. And besides, I've tried using it once before just to open a gate us a few feet away. We all got separated, remember? And I'm the one who knows how to use these things. Do you really want to try using it to jump between worlds?"

"So we're stuck here and they can't get here," Koji frowned, looking back to the others. At this point, he was convinced that Tamer was the one behind the wheel - if only because only Tamer could annoy him so much. The Gotsumon kicked the dirt anxiously, now rubbing his arm nervously. Koji crossed his arms, "Come on. Spit it out. You still want the guardian spirit, don't you?"

"I do…but…who am I to take it from the digidestined? The Chosen Children prophesied to save our world!" Gotsumon said quietly. Koji snorted at the mention of the prophecy again.

"So what now?" JP asked.

"We go back and help clean up the camp," Tamer answered quietly. "We're responsible for what happened. It's only fair that we help clean it up."

"What's this 'we' stuff? That was all you…well, that was all the D-Reaper but it was in your body!" Koji said with crossed arms.

"Fine, my fault. But that doesn't change the fact that they need help," Tamer said quietly, quietly walking back towards the camp. Koji watched Tomoki and Zoe run after him, leaving him behind with Gotsumon and JP.

Gotsumon was the next to talk, "I'm going to head back to camp as well and get the rest of my things. I guess my journey ends here. I came so far and in the end, I guess it didn't even matter."

Gotsumon went to return to the camp when it occurred to Koji that the digimon knew who they were. He grabbed the digimon quickly, "We need to talk."

"If it's about the Guardian Spirit, never mind. I think it's best if it stays in the hands of the digidestined," the Gotsumon admitted in resignation, "I wanted to use its power to save the world and end this war but what good am I when compared to the digidestined? What could I do that you couldn't?"

"Oh brother," JP groaned, turning his head in embarrassment.

Koji wasn't entirely comfortable with being talked about that way either and did his best to not think about what Gotsumon said. Although that proved hard as Gotsumon was now mumbling something about their importance to the fate of the Digital World. Koji cleared his throat to get Gotsumon's attention, "It's not about that. It's about the fact that we're the digidestined. You need to promise you're not going to tell anyone."

"You've got to be joking. Do you realize how many digimon have been waiting for you guys to show up?" Gotsumon asked quickly. "That'll probably be the best news anyone will have heard in a long time. They could probably use it too after the day they've all just had! You really want me to keep that to myself?"

"Yes," Koji said matter of factly.

"We got attacked earlier today by a bunch of crazy digimon trying to take our Guardian Spirits. Do you really think we want to go around advertising who we are?" JP pointed out matter of factly. Gotsumon really couldn't be mad anymore after that although it did raise a question in his mind.

"Wait, you saw us as humans earlier today. Why didn't you realize we were the digidestined back then?" Koji asked.

"Not every human is a digdestined, you know. I'm not one of those digimon who go around making assumptions about others based on looks. There's like…a bunch of you humans running around the Digital World right now. No one really knows what that's about since you all just showed up one day," Gotsumon pointed out. Koji was now more embarrassed now as he realized he hadn't intended to come across that way. "Next thing you know, you'll tell me you think all us Gotsumon look the same. I know you humans don't know much about out world but even you aren't that ignorant."

Koji ignored that last part and tried to move the conversation back on topic, "You need to swear you won't tell anyone about us."

"Okay, geez. But just so we're clear, a lot of digimon have been waiting for you guys for a long time. The least you could do is be a little less disappointing when all this secrecy stuff blows over and others figure out who you are," the Gotsumon said quietly, pulling his arm free from Koji. Gotsumon hurried after the others, leaving Koji and JP standing there.

"Do you suppose the other kids who came here are okay? We haven't really run into anyone besides you," JP asked quietly. Koji hadn't really given them much thought since he went his separate ways from the group he arrived with. He supposed there was a chance they were okay, assuming they hadn't done anything stupid and stayed out of the way of any serious danger. Then again, they had all been called to the Digital World in the middle of war.

"Probably not. Although Gatomon did send them all back. So who cares? Let's catch up to the others," Koji said, pocketing his hands and quietly going to rejoin the others.

Zoe followed behind Tamer quietly, unable to tell if he was going back to help the camp out of guilt or if this was part of another plan to drag them along to somewhere else they needed to be. At least he was being quiet. She followed along quietly until they reached the edge of the camp where they found the smoking remains of a few tents mixed with the misty clouds of data left behind by several digimon. She hadn't thought things had gotten too far out of the control, but she'd been too focused on the fight to actually tell.

Bokomon and Neemon ran to greet them as soon as they stepped into the camp. In a hushed tone, Bokomon hurriedly said, "I'm glad I found you first. We should go while we can!"

"What? No! We're not leaving them like this!" Tomoki protested.

"You don't understand! Cherubimon is here!" Bokomon whispered urgently, trying to push them back into the forest. Neemon was even trying to pull on Tomoki from behind, for all the good it did as he was too small to actually do anything. "We have to go!"

"Cherubimon?" Zoe gasped, looking at Tomoki nervously then at Tamer suspiciously. Did he know Cherubimon of all digimon would be here? Had he counted on this? She didn't know but she knew that she wanted to run away as fast as she could before things went down hill. She was about to, when she noticed the Gotsumon run past her into the camp.

"We should go," Tamer said to her surprise.

"What about the camp?" Tomoki asked, just as Koji and JP caught up to them.

"What's going on? We're leaving already?" JP asked.

"The camp will be the least of our problems if Cherubimon finds us," Tamer said quickly, turning to push them all back the way they came.

"HEY YOU!"

All seven of them jumped at the same time, taken by surprise by a group of approaching guards. These digimon weren't dressed in the same make shift armor the previous guards wore - instead dressed in silver armor with pink trim. And as they got closer, Zoe could see the guards consisted entirely of white bunnies with long floppy green ears. The lead bunny came up to them and smiled, "You guys must be the humans who showed up at the camp earlier. I'm going to have to ask you guys to come with us!"

"What? Why? We haven't done anything!" Tomoki said quickly.

"That sounds like an awfully guilty conscience for a bunch of people who haven't done anything. You sure you've got nothing to confess?" the digimon winked. Zoe could see Tomoki begin to sweat as he tried to stammer out a response until the white bunny waved him off. "Moumantai you silly humans. I'm Terriermon, Captain of the Praetorian Guard and Lady Cherubimon's bodyguard. Please come with me because she is going to want to see you. Come along."

The guard's friendly disposition took them all by surprise - especially since all of their previous encounters with the other guards were more standoffish. Zoe shot Tamer a nervous look, wondering if there was something he wasn't mentioning to any of them but he was being suspiciously quiet right now. Without a word, he followed along with the others as they marched further into the camp. The camp was crawling with digimon in silver armor now who hadn't been there before.

"This isn't good. We should run while we can!" Neemon said quietly.

"And go where?" Bokomon asked. "We're surrounded and there's guards everywhere! We'd never make it out alive."

"Don't worry! You wouldn't make it more than a few feet!" the lead Terriermon laughed from the front, turning back with a great big smile. "It's amazing what you can hear when you have ears this big. Even if they drag along the ground! Now relax! Moumantai! You're not in trouble."

Despite his cheery tone, Zoe couldn't help but feel a little uneasy as they went further into the camp and encountered more armored digimon along the way. After a moment, she finally worked up the courage to ask, "Where did you guys come from anyway? You weren't here earlier."

"We were nearby tracking a trouble making bunch of digimon when we heard all the ruckus. You guys wouldn't happen to know anything about that now, would you?" Terriermon asked, still maintaining his cheery and joking attitude. Zoe gulped, "You mean the ruckus?"

"I meant the trouble making digimon," Terriermon said. "You are humans. For all we know, you're the digidestined."

Zoe fell silent at that, noticing the other Terriermon digimon were eyeing her and the others carefully. Did they know? There was no way they wouldn't know since these digimon just said they had great ears. She wanted to explain they weren't a danger but she doubted they would listen any explanation.

"What's a digidestined?" JP said quickly before Zoe could think of a response, and she breathed a sigh of relief.

Terriermon laughed again, "If you don't know then don't worry about! Moumantai! I'm only teasing! You're not the first bunch of humans we've met wandering around the Digital World and you won't be the last. We're almost there!"

Terriermon led the way to the medical tent where the Cutemon had been treating Tamer earlier. The Cutemon were busy healing all the injured digimon who'd been brought into them but there was a new digimon there now who hadn't been there before - a little brown bunny with pink ears instead of green. Several of the digimon in silver armor were listening to this brown bunny intently while a few others stood just behind.

"Continue to treat the wounded while my mon bring in more survivors. We've got the fires completely put out so that should help out even a little bit," the bunny said.

"Thank you, Lopmon," the Cutemon said with a bow. "You couldn't have come at a better time."

"Please don't do that. I didn't like doing that for the Sovereigns and I'm not about to make others do it for me," Lopmon said sternly, closing her eyes and doing her best to restrain what sounded like frustration in her voice.

"Of course! If we may, our patients need us!" the Cutemon said as they returned to their patients. Lopmon sighed, muttering something about hating being treated like a god before noticing their arrival. "Oh, Terriermon. You're back."

"Yes I am, Lady Cherubimon," Terriermon waved.

"You do this to annoy me and I hate you for it," Lopmon said quietly, cocking her head up to look at them. "More humans? Let me guess: you got nagged by a mysterious phone call, got dragged into this mess, and now you just want to go home?"

Zoe looked to the others, surprised by just how on the nose Lopmon was. The others appeared to be just as surprised as she was, and JP even had his mouth hanging open. JP remarked, "Yeah, that about sums it up."

Lopmon nodded understandingly and marched towards them, "Yeah. I've heard that story so many times from so many of you humans. I'm sorry you've been troubled by all this. Seraphimon and Ophanimon were always weird about putting their faith in prophecies. As if that will solve our problems."

"Yeah, it sounds like you guys have quite the mess on your hands," JP added quietly.

"So who're your friends?" Lopmon asked, now turning her attention to Bokomon and Neemon.

"I'm Bokomon and this is my counterpart Neemon. We were just traveling with them," Bokomon said quickly, conveniently leaving out the part about them being the digidestined and that they were on their way to find the other Guardian Spirits. Lopmon bowed her head in thanks towards them.

"You have my thanks for taking care of them. You can return to your home now because we'll take care of them from here," Lopmon explained as she finally raised her head from her bow.

"Sorry, what?" Zoe asked, not liking that choice of words.

Lopmon remained neutral as she explained, "I'm sorry you were dragged into this but I promise I won't let you get involved in this fight since it's not yours to wage. You have my word that you will be protected until we can find a way to return you home, but I can't say I know when that'll be. Terriermon, please take them to the others."

"Others? Sorry, what?" JP asked.

"Yeah, what exactly is happening right now? Because it sounds like we're being taken prisoner," Koji added quickly.

Lopmon snorted, "Why does everyone keep calling it that? You're not being taken prisoner! You're being protected. We have to protect you, it's the only way to make sure no harm comes to you humans while you're here in our world."

"Uh…I think we've been doing fine so far," Tamer finally broke his silence to speak up. "If you ask me, I don't think we really need the protection. But thanks for offering."

Unfortunately, Lopmon didn't appear to be in the mood to listen to them talk, "You've been doing fine so far. But a group of trouble making digimon have been running around attacking you humans at every chance they can and we don't know why. If I had to guess, they're after the digidestined - whoever they are. We've managed to save some of them but others haven't been as lucky. Please understand that this really is for your own protection."

"And if we refuse?" Tamer asked.

"Sorry, but this is for your own good, children. Now do as you're told," Lopmon frowned, gesturing to her guards who quickly surrounded them and grabbed a hold of them before they could have a chance to protest. Zoe tried to run but found herself restrained by a big brown robot looking digimon who held her arms behind her back.

"Watch it!" she warned the digimon who didn't appear to regard what she was saying.

"Hey! You can't do this!" JP protested, struggling against the fox digimon who'd taken a hold of him. He tried to protest louder but found himself being ushered out of tent. Zoe tried struggling against her captor but was barely able to fight back as they were escorted away. Bokomon and Neemon tried to resist but were kicked aside by the Terriermon leading the guards.

"This is for the best. Sorry, not sorry! Thanks for coming by! You can go now," Terriermon said in his sing song way. Zoe didn't like how quickly things had gone from bad to worse and could only imagine what was about to happen to them.
