"Who is this human woman you're suggesting? You're certain that she'll have me? I need to be by him."

Kisuke nods assuringly to his new guest's prudish questions. He saw the uncertainties rising in their violet eyes. It was understandable and odd at that to be presented with such a random offer. It was beneficial in the long run, they'd get a place to stay, food, and protection. Considering what happened to them a few hours ago tonight, it was the best option.

The only downside he'd have to give up the free dinner; Ururu was no doubt devastated but understood.

"The female human won't suspect anything? About my duties?" They question harder.

"Don't worry. It'll be perfectly fine. And you'll be in proximity of him," He assures them with an even tone that little suspicion. He even added a smirk. "Now then, shall we practice our story?"

Before they began they had one more question, "What is this human woman's name?"

"Ah! Good morning May and Adam, are you both about to head out for your weekend errands?" asked Kenji, one of the residents that lived within the neighborhood you stayed.

As you were on your way out, pulling Adam in his wagon.

He was a man of a healthy age, decent height and build, with swept-back brown hair and brown eyes.

"Good morning," you offer a modest smile to him. "Yes. We are. It seems you are occupied with running." You noticed his running attire.

He chuckled and scratched the back of his head rather nervously, "Yeah. Decided to start again. You look nice today." He complimented.

You glance down at your outfit, a fitting burgundy top, ruched maxi skirt, and nude 1-inch wedges. With your yellow headband and choker.

"Just a simple attire. Nothing more." You respond maintaining your smile.

"Oh well. It still looks nice. Hey Adam!" He turned his attention to Adam.

Adam lifted his eyes from his drawing for a moment at Kenji, blinked a few times, and returned to his drawing.

An uncomfortable chuckle slipped from Kenji. "Always the artist, isn't he?" Kenji said humorously.

You forced out a few chuckles sensing the man's uneasiness.

"That he is. You are correct. Well," you clear your throat and began slowly taking a few steps forward, "if you will excuse us. We must depart."

You give a friendly wave and leave, unaware of the powder of pink coating the man's cheeks.

Today was errand again, you had quite a few places to go. Since last night and that unsettling feeling you felt that alarmed and concerned you(the candle's flame flickered black momentarily) as you cleaned the kitchen, today was more of a mission. After you and Adam's Tai Chi session early this morning and hearty breakfast you left hastily. Earlier than usual.

Though just as you closed and locked the door, the phone rang. For a moment your heart skipped and dropped, as you wondered if that was possibly Isshin.

You hoped not.

"Look!" Adam said buoyantly, pulling you from your thoughts.

He proudly held up his finished drawing and waited for you to look. You stop at the corner of a block and wait for the light to change to cross the street.

"Oh lovely," you complimented, gently smiling looking at his drawing.

You weren't quite sure what it was. Adam face lit up and he wasted no time telling you.

"This a dog head in black." He pointed to swirls of browns with triangles on the top. The figure was large standing( you believed) next to someone else in black. "The dog head is really nice. And this is the dog head's headcover!" He moved his finger to some dark brown square thing.

"I see." You acknowledge.

The light changed and you continued. Adam kept going, talking about others he drew. He said something about boney heads. After a few minutes, he stopped and went back to drawing. You made your way to the market first(as always) and made your rounds to different vendors. A few times you briefly paused and threw a look over your shoulder among the crowd of people. A daunting feeling prickled your skin. Your eyes surveyed the mixed faces and recognized the majority from observation and their continuing appearance here. There were you didn't know but your memory quickly registered them.

Nothing was out of place, yet that feeling rested on you. Adam was fine, you constantly cast secure glances at him, he was nose-deep into his drawings, his crayons nearly down to nubs. Which meant you needed to head to the shop, however, the pavilion was next.

Adam's crayons would last long, but you couldn't shake the feeling. It crept closer like a shadow, and your hand slowly reached for the crystal spear on your choker. Your eyes narrowed with a cutting warning and remained quietly scoping the surroundings. Casually you swept through the market, with a gentle smile. For a moment Adam lifted his eyes and stared into the crowd.

"Adam, is everything alright?" Your voice turned his attention.

He looked at you, you noticed a bit of confusion settling in his eyes. Your heart clenched, but you remained calm and open.

"Let us proceed to the shop. Alright?" You suggest with a happy tone. "You need more supplies and you need to deliver your drawings to everyone."

Those words washed brought Adam's peachy self and he nodded agreeing.

You wasted little time and left the market. Remaining calm you increased your speed slightly until that feeling no longer loomed near.

"Ms. Bishop!" Ururu beamed softly, welcoming you when you arrived.

She was outside sweeping but stopped and hurried to greet you. Her eagerness shined in her doe eyes.

"Good morning, Ururu," you return sweetly, "you look lovely today."

Her normal blush deepened. "T-Thank you. You smell really nice. I like your clothes too."

She was sweet, you thought looking on warmly. You then remembered you had something for her and reached into the wagon. Adam began climbing as you did so, Ururu greeted him as he ran inside. You and Ururu heard Jinta's annoyed shouting.

"Here. This is for you." You hand her a colorfully wrapped item.

Ururu took it with a treasured looked. "Aren't we being spoiled, Ururu? I'm jealous." Kisuke said walking over. "Good morning Ms. Bishop. You're here sooner than before."

"Good morning Mr. Urahara. Quite unusual, I understand. Adam's crayons were getting low and we were in the area. I hope you do not mind."

He gave a dismissal wave, "Not at all. Your presence is always pleasing."

"Hey! Come here!" Jinta yells inside followed by a loud crash.

You, Kisuke, and Ururu look concerningly. You break from Kisuke and Ururu and hurry inside. Instantly your eyes find Adam, who was just fine, sitting atop Jinta with papers and other items scattered around. Jinta lay flat on the floor with a seething scowl and pinched brows. He was mumbling something under his breath holding Adam's glasses in hand.

Adam sat unfazed and stared fixated towards the back of the shop. He was unscathed and well, quietly you sigh relieved as you walked over.

You take Adam off then help Jinta up, "Are you harmed?" You ask dusting Jinta off lightly.

Your eyes swept over him attentively, examining for any injuries or scrapes. Jinta stood there, frozen, with a small tremor shaking his body and his cheeks heating up. You hadn't noticed even when you finished. He was alright, there wasn't a thing wrong.

"Nothing is wrong," You affirm to him, standing to go over to Adam.

Swallowing hard and finally breathing again, Jinta thrust out Adam's glasses, blurting, "Here!"

Before you could take it, he shoved them into your hands and hurried to clean up everything muttering to himself. You look on confused for a moment, then go to Adam. Kisuke and Ururu come, they glance at Jinta and then over to you. Ururu quickly went to help Jinta trying to hide her smile noticing Jinta's flustering. Kisuke walked by and over to you and Adam. You finished dusting and smoothing out Adam's clothes. You give him one more look over and gently put his glasses on.

A shadow cast over you and Adam, "Everything okay?" Kisuke asked thoughtfully, with an astute look in his eyes.

You give a nod, remaining calm from his sudden appearance. "My apologizes, Mr. Urahara," you turn around to mess Jinta and Ururu just finished cleaning. "If anything is broken, I will replace it."

"It's alright. None of that stuff was important," Kisuke assures you, and holds out a hand for you to take, "let's get you off that floor."

Your heart lurched, setting your hands to quietly began trembling. You his hand waiting for you from the corner of your eyes, which began filling the haunting screams...screams that...

A cold rush shot down your spine and you quickly(with poise) rose without his assistance. "Your assistance is appreciated Mr. Urahara," you smile graciously, and quickly change the topic, "I believe in our prior conversation you had an inquiry for me. What was it-"

"What's back there?" Adam interrupted blurting out, pointing a finger to the back of the store, coming over and tugging onto Kisuke's samue eagerly. "What's back there? Can I see it?"

Kisuke's eyes remain calm and inventive upon Adam, and his humble smile remained. You tried to get Adam to stop pulling on Kisuke's clothes, only for the man to chuckle and set a light hand on Adam's head.

"Curious little one aren't you," he chuckled, you stared amazed and slightly confused Adam settled. "I suppose I should finish our prior conversation, Miss Bishop," he lifted his eyes to you.

There was this tinge of guile twinkle in his eyes you noticed despite their pleasant front and the jovial smile he had. A commanding assertiveness straightens your stance, your shoulders and spine firmly upright and your eyes directly lock with Kisuke. You were mindful to keep your tone calm.

Kisuke continued affably, "Can I cash in that payment?"

You were confused by his words, "Payment?" your brow raised, trying to figure out what he meant.

His light laughter tightens your stance, "The dinner you offered. Could I switch that out?"

"Oh," your eyes rested calmly, though confusion still loomed in them. "A switch?" You noticed the disappointment that came on Ururu's face and Jinta's slightly, "You do not need to switch it, Mr. Urahara."

The words came out naturally, to your surprise and Kisuke's. Jinta and Ururu too. You remained controlled and calm. "Are you sure?" Kisuke asked with a bit of shock in his words.

You nod assuringly, while your mind chastised you. You ignore it and ask what Kisuke wanted. For a moment Kisuke paused and the room...grew he was quite sure how to describe it at the moment. Adam, now playing with Kisuke's fingers looked up at the man, then at you, before noticing Tessai coming with someone else. His eyes lit up.

Hearing footsteps approaching behind you, you turn around as Tessai emerges from the hallway of the shop, with someone. It was a girl. A short and petite girl, with light skin and gorgeous round purple eyes. Her black hair scooped to her shoulders with several strands hanging between her eyes. There was this calm and similar gracefulness and...loneliness about her, that was hidden behind the concealment her eyes held at you intensely. Everything around you faded and it was just you and her, steadily and firmly holding the other's gaze, trying to surmise the other. Her stare, as sharp as it was, cut like ice it nearly sent a chill down your spine. Your heart for some reason...it...just...you blink for a moment and replace the girl with...her...you blink again and she was back.

Kisuke's presence by your side brings you back, "Miss Bishop, please allow me to introduce you to Rukia Kuchiki. Miss Kuchiki this is Miss Bishop. You'll be staying with her. I'm confident you'll both be happy."
