Chapter 3: The Naturals Pt. 3

Previously on Kaijudo:

"Your kids have some talent." "I say we test them." "Tatsurion the Unchained!" "Skarvos the Assassin!" "We have been watching you for a long, long time." "I vested a great deal to insert you into the temple. I expect the return of that investment." "Present you gauntlets. Welcome to the Order of the Kaijudo Duel Masters." "We made it!" "Not all of you." "If our friends aren't good enough, then neither are we!" "They've made their decision." "You're going to erase our minds!" "Don't worry. You won't remember the pain."

(Intro)

The Memory Swarm was circling the children's heads. "Don't erase our minds. We just learned about Kaijudo." Ray said. "Please. We can keep a secret." Jen begged. "It was your decision to leave. I'm sorry, but our secrets have to remain with us." Nadia apologized sadly. Suddenly, the Azurite started glowing again. "I…said…don't erase…OUR MINDS!" Ray shouted as the Azurite created a barrier around him and the other children, shielding them from the Memory Swarm, pushing them back with great force. The children, Janet, Hector, Nadia and the Kazamas were shocked to see that. The Memory Swarm tried to get through the barrier, but they couldn't even crack it as they kept getting pushed back with great force. Seeing no other choice, Nadia called back the Swarm. The barrier came down as Ray calmed down. "Okay. What was that?" Allie asked. "That weird barrier shot up as soon as Ray got angry." Portia said. "I think it was the Azurite. It protected us when it sensed the Memory Swarm." Ray guessed as he stared at the Azurite. "Well, that's a relief." Terry said, wiping the sweat from his forehead. "I think it hardly seemed fair that we were about to get our minds wiped and the bullies don't." Gabe said. Nadia looked at Hector after hearing this. "Yeah, several other children witnessed the Veil breach by the Terrasaur." Hector said. "Carny and Candy Carnahan, along with their 3 goons, Sykes, Nickles and Icey. They go to the same school as us." Sakura said. "We can tell you where they hang out." Ray offered as Nadia bottled 5 of the Swarm. "My dear Rusalka has already snatched their location from your mind." She said as Rusalka fed her the location through a telepathic link. "And now I know it too."

As she left, Hector stared at the children, wondering what to do. He knew if he tried to use the Memory Swarm on them again, Ray would use the Azurite to protect them. "Please, let our friends try to duel again." Ray said. "Uh, no, thank you." Gabe said. "Hated it." Allie said. "That's okay." Terry said. "We're good." Greta said. "Wasn't our thing." Portia said. "Was worth a try." Maribel said. "Please. Help us change their minds." Jen said. Hector thought about it and looked to Janet and the Kazamas. They nodded to him, knowing that Ray and Jen would never give up on their closest friends. So, having no other choice, he returned the Memory Swarm into the water.

Later, Hector, Janet and the Kazamas brought the children into a selection of stables. "These are the Stables, where we keep various creatures for…" Hector tried to explain. "Petting zoo!" Allie exclaimed happily as she and the others rushed over to one of the stables. "No! No! What?! Petting is not allowed!" Hector exclaimed. "Lighten up, Hector. They're just being curious." Janet said before she and the Kazamas joined the kids. Hector grumbled before following. "Wow. Look at this one." Jen said. "It's beautiful." Ray said. A plant creature unveiled its camouflage and revealed its true beauty. "An Essence Elf. Like many Nature Civilization Creatures, Tree Kins thrives for growth and community." Hector explained. Just then, as a blowfish creature in the next stable hovered closer, Essence Elf hissed at it and tried to jab it with her winged thorns. "That wasn't very friendly." Ray said. "Why'd she do that?" Jen asked. "Nature's way is the Law of the Jungle. Survival of the fittest." Hector said. "Well, you can't argue with that logic. Rudyard Kipling wrote it so." Terry said. Hector brought them to the blowfish's stable as it stuck out its tongue and licked Ray. "Water creatures, like this Buoyant Blowfish, are obsessed with knowledge and information." Hector explained. "Fascinating." Maribel said. "So, slimy here was just being curious?" Allie asked. Hector backed away as she said that. Just then, Blowfish fired a psionic attack at Allie, giving her a headache. "Ouch! Thanks for the headache!" She groaned. "Psionic attacks and telepathy are among their primary battle tactics. And they may not like being called slimy." Hector explained. "Good advice." Greta said.

Gabe and Portia were drawn to the next creature in the next stable. "Cool." Gabe said. "Beautiful." Portia said. "A Solar Enforcer. Light creatures are very organized and methodical. They think very highly of themselves." Hector explained. "As they absolutely should. Notice the symmetry and the elegant shape." Gabe said. "And the brightness of the pretty lights." Portia said. "Dude." Ray said. "Guys, it's a flying flashlight." Allie said. "Maybe. But I bet those lights run on quite the power source." Terry said. As Gabe tried to touch the Enforcer, it pulled itself back like it was hurting. "Look. There're cracks on his shoulder pad." Jen said, noticing the creature's injury. "What happened to him?" Ray asked. "It was rescued from the Choten, who as you can see injured it. We're still not exactly sure why." Hector explained. Ray and Jen were now angry, seeing such a poor creature being injured like that. Especially when Hector referred the creature as an it.

Just then, Kenina burst itself out of the next stable. "Hey, it's Kenina." Ray said. Kenina perched herself on Ray's hand and nuzzled him, careful not to burn him. "It's good to see you too, Kenina." Jen said, petting the Fire Bird's head. "What is it with you and touching?!" Hector exclaimed as he tried to shoo Kenina. But Kenina flapped her wings angrily at him. "As you can see, creatures of the Fire Civilization are proud and…Ow!" Hector explained as Kenina pecked his hand. "…always ready to fight, no matter how big or small they are." "That explains a lot. You sure have a lot of pride in you for such a little one." Ray said. Kenina chirped sweetly as she moved onto Ray's shoulder. "Kenina, go!" Hector ordered, motioning his hand. But Kenina refused to move from Ray's shoulder. "Leave her alone. She's being friendly." Ray assured. "They are not pets, Ray. They're kept here for training purposes or study. The more knowledge we have about them, the better we can protect the world from them." Hector explained. Ray and Jen didn't buy that. They didn't believe that these creatures were dangerous. Just misunderstood.

Just then, Allie rushed over to the last stable, noticing something lurking in the shadows. "What is that?" She asked. "That is a Skull Cutter, residing in the deepest shadows. Darkness creatures are known for secrecy and subterfuge. Be careful." Hector advised. The Skull Cutter, revealing itself from the shadows as a tiny skeleton creature with a knife blade on its left arm, lunged for Allie. But it stopped at the soft touch of her hand. "Aw, isn't he the cutest?" Allie asked in a baby voice as she petted the little skeleton. "Hello! Remember Rule number 1? Don't touch? I'm gonna put up a sign." Hector groaned. "Hey, if the holes in the bars are big enough for hands, petting zoo." Allie said. "She makes a good point, Master Chavez." Miku said.

Just then, everyone was drawn to a big metal door at the end. Ray and Jen put their ears against it and heard a giant roar, making them flinch. "What is this?" Jen asked. "The Vault, where we keep the monsters, creatures corrupted by the Choten. Some who have even developed a taste…for humans." Hector explained. The kids all looked at each other, feeling disturbed by that. "But there is hope. I believe their behavior can be corrected." Master Kimora said as he fed Skull Cutter. "Good luck with that, Master." Fingers said sarcastically. "So, what is in the Vault, Mom?" Jen asked. "A Flametropus. A Rock Brute. An extremely dangerous Fire creature as big as a skyscraper. It burns everything that it walks by." Janet explained. Ray and Jen stared at the Vault, as if they were feeling the corruption inside. "It's getting late." Hector said. "Aw, but we just got here." Allie complained. "Yeah." Gabe said. "That's hardly fair." Terry said. "Totally." Greta said. "Yeah." Portia and Maribel said simultaneously. "So, you'll give us a day?" Ray asked. "That's all we ask. One day." Jen said. Hector thought about. "Yes. But if they don't change their minds or make the cut, you 2 must promise to return to the temple and train without them." Hector said, holding out Ray and Jen's gauntlets. The Okamoto Twins were unsure about this, but made the promise.

Meanwhile, Nadia found Carny, Candy, Nickels, Sykes and Icey hanging out by the local burger joint and used the Memory Swarm to erase their memories about the Rumbling Terrasaur. When the memory drain was complete, she plucked the Memory Swarm off their heads and disappeared as the 5 bullies began to recover. "Can't remember what I was going to…say. Um, something about beating up that mutt kid." Sykes said as Carny took a bite out of his burger. "Hey! How'd my burger get cold?!" Carny exclaimed, noticing that his burger was cold. "Ugh, what the heck happened?!" Candy exclaimed.

Later, Ray, Jen and Janet returned home. "I hope Grandpa's not too mad we weren't home to check on him." Jen said as they entered their small apartment. "Grandpa does not need doting. Grandpa is folding." Grandpa Raiden said. "Sorry, Raiden-san. Ray and Jen had another run-in with Carnahan's kids again." Janet said. "But we have a solution for it." Ray said, pulling out the coupons for the dojo. "Ah, martial arts training. This is exactly what you need, my children. Remember, Bob and Weave. Bob and Weave." Grandpa Raiden said. "We know, Grandpa. Bob and Weave." Ray said. "A moving target is harder to hit." Jen said. "Hai!" Grandpa Raiden exclaimed. "Though I am a bit. Fighting isn't the way to solve problems." Janet said, acting worried. "When one stands up for himself, no fight is needed. Sometimes." Grandpa Raiden said. "Alright. If you want to do this, I'll allow it." Janet said. "Thanks, Mom." Ray said as he and Jen hugged her. "We love you, Mom." Jen said. Grandpa Raiden gave them a thumb's up. "Now let's hope your friends can change their minds." Janet whispered.

Meanwhile, at Allie's house, the police arrived late that night. After her father, Arthur Underhill, got home that day, he saw the basement door broken down caused by Alakshmi and Saanvi's attack. "Look at that door! It must've been a coyote or a rabid bear!" Arthur exclaimed as he gave the report to the cop. "Just glad my pumpkin wasn't home. Are you sure you're okay?" He asked out of worry for Allie. "I'm fine, Daddy. I'm just gonna go to my room now." Allie said before heading up to her room. "I think my little princess is in shock. I'm pressing charges." Arthur said. "Against the coyote or the bear?" The cop asked.

As Allie got to her room, she turned on her computer and lay down on her bed. She pulled her video diary pad out from under her pillow. "Dear, Diary…ugh. Yeah, right. Who am I kidding?" She asked herself as she set it down. "Allie? We know your there." Ray said as he and Jen contacted her through video chat. "We need you to try again. For us." Jen said. "Guys, I nearly got stomped by a dragon, fried by a flaming parrot and a big flying starfish tried to melt my face! I mean, maybe I wanna get my mind wiped." Allie said. "Come on! We saw you with that Skull Cutter. It was ready to attack you, but then you calmed it down by treating it with friendship and kindness." Jen said. Allie thought about it as she walked over to her sock drawer, pulled out a sock and wore it like a dueling gauntlet, posing like a duelist in the mirror. "Allie, we know everything comes easy for you. You get invited to any club you want in school. But for this club, you really have to try." Ray said. Allie put all this to thought.

Meanwhile, at Gabe's house, Gabe was in his shared room reading when dinner was ready. "Gabriel, dinner time!" His mom, Denise, called. "Man, Gabe is always buried in those books. I'm seriously worried about him." One of his older twin brothers, Ronald, said. "Tell him to come down. But be gentle. He looked like he's had a rough day today." His father, Philip, said. "Okay, Dad." His other older twin brother, Donald, said. "Feeding time, lil' bro." Ronald said as he and Donald walked upstairs to their shared room. "Hey, whatcha got there, Gabe?" Donald asked, noticing the flier. Gabe handed it to them. "Martial arts? You looking to learn some karate, lil' bro?" Donald asked. "I don't know, guys." Gabe said. "Well, you should at least tell Mom." Donald said. "Hey, Mom, you need to this!" Ronald called as he and Donald ran back downstairs. Gabe waited as Denise, along with Ronald and Donald, came up with the flier and his dinner. "So, Gabey-bear, you gonna do this?" Denise asked, gesturing to the flier. "I don't know, Mom." Gabe said as he took his dinner and his flier. "Well, honey, you never will know if you don't try." Denise said, kissing Gabe's cheek before heading back downstairs. "It'll be good for you, lil' bro. Mix a little brawn with your brain." Donald said. "Mom's right, G. You won't know if you don't try." Ronald said. "Thanks, guys." Gabe said, fist-bumping his brothers before they followed Denise. Gabe looked at the flier, then flipped it over to reveal a drawing of him with a Light creature.

Meanwhile, at Terry and Greta's house, the stepsiblings sat in their shared bedroom, thinking about the Kaijudo temple again. Just then, Greta's father, Gregory, walked in. He was holding their fliers. "You 2 left these on the table." He said. "Sorry, Daddy." Greta apologized. "Sorry, sir." Terry said. "You 2 sure you want to do this?" Gregory asked. "Well, we're not sure, sir. It's a pretty big decision for us." Terry said. "Life's always full of big decisions, son." Gregory said. "But we're not sure if we want to do this, Daddy." Greta said. "We don't know if it's for us." Terry added. "You know, Terry, when I divorced Greta's mother, I wasn't sure if I would ever find love again. But then I met you and your mother, and was proven wrong. Now look at me. I got a son I always wanted and my little girl got the brother she always wanted." Gregory explained. Terry and Greta smiled at each other. "Anyways, what you 2 decide to do is up to you. And whatever you decide, I'll be really proud of you kids." Gregory said before walking out of the room, leaving the fliers on Terry's bed. Greta got up from her bed, walked over to her stepbrother's bed and sat down beside him. Terry side-hugged his stepsister as they looked at the flier.

Meanwhile, at Portia's house, Portia and Maribel were having a sleepover. After Portia's parents went to bed, they kept looking at the fliers. "You think we should give it another shot?" Maribel asked. "I'm not sure. What if we're no good like yesterday?" Portia asked with doubt. "I don't know, Portia. But I do know that if we don't try, we might never know." Maribel said. Portia looked back at the flier, getting a look of determination.

Meanwhile, Fingers was leaving the dojo with a bag. As he ran down the sidewalk, a van pulled up beside him. The side-door opened, revealing Alakshmi and Saanvi, and pulled him in. Alakshmi looked in his bag, but it was empty. "You didn't get any tablets?!" Saanvi exclaimed angrily. "I tried. I couldn't get the tablets. The Duel Masters are everywhere." Fingers explained. "What you need is a diversion." The Choten said. He opened a case beside him, revealing a high-tech hammer. Fingers smiled sinisterly at this.

The next morning, Ray and Jen checked their laptop. The others weren't online, so they assumed they were waiting at the dojo. Ray and Jen grabbed their bags and exited their shared bedroom, practicing some of their moves. "Morning, Ray-of-Sunshine and Jen-of-the-Jam." Janet greeted. "Nice moves. You 2 ready to get back into the game?" "Yep. Hopefully, Allie and the others will come." Ray said. "Well, we better get going if we don't want to be late." Jen said. "Um, shouldn't we help unpack some more boxes first?" Ray asked. "Oh, we can do that later. Let's get you 2 down to the temple." Janet said. They got into the car and drove over to the dojo. When they pulled in, they saw that Allie, Gabe, Terry, Greta, Portia and Maribel were waiting with the Kazama Triplets. "You came." Ray said. "We knew you would." Jen said. "Well, you 2 did get us through yesterday. And you stood up for us." Allie said. "The least we can do is stand with you." Gabe said. "Yeah. You guys were right." Terry said. "All for one and one for all. All the way." Greta said. "Yeah." Portia and Maribel said simultaneously. Janet and the Kazamas smiled at the bond of friendship between the 8 of them. "Raimundo, Jennifer, the naturals." Hector greeted as he walked up to the group. "Good morning to you too, Hector." Janet greeted. "His name is actually Raiden, the same as the Thunder Bear from the Japanese Pantheon of Gods." Gabe said. "And Gabriel, Allison, Terrence, Gretchen, Portia and Maribel. Good to see you all." Hector greeted. "They're in. And you promised to give them another chance." Ray said. "Fair enough." Hector said as he walked into the dojo with Janet, the kids and the Kazamas following.

As they entered the temple, they went to the Stables and put on their gauntlets. "We'll choose some creatures from the Stables for training." Hector said. Suddenly, Kenina flew into Ray's arms like a spooked pigeon. "Whoa! Kenina, what's wrong?" Ray asked. Kenina just chirped like a scared baby chick. "She must've been frightened by something." Jen guessed. The others noticed that Essence Elf, Buoyant Blowfish and Skull Cutter were frightened too. "Is it usually this quiet in here?" Allie asked. "Yeah, something definitely has these creatures spooked." Ray said as he comforted Kenina. "But what could have happened?" Kaito asked. Janet turned to the Vault and gasped in horror. "Hector!" She called. Hector turned to see. "Oh no! The Vault has been opened!" He exclaimed with worry. The Vault door had been smashed by the hammer Fingers was given. As he ran over to investigate, a werewolf Beast Kin of Nature called Fear Fang broke out of its stable and attacked him, knocking him down as he activated his gauntlet. Just then, another one appeared behind him. "Run! Gillaflame the Assaulter!" He shouted, summoning Gillaflame to battle. Gillaflame knocked down one of the Fear Fangs with a single punch. "Hector, watch out!" Janet exclaimed. Hector noticed a Forest Hornet coming out from one of the other stables. Suddenly, as Janet got ready to summon a creature, a gong rang, subduing the Megabug. Hector and Janet turned to see the kids standing beside a gong. Ray was holding the ringing stick as he gave a thumbs up. "Good job, honey." Janet said.

Suddenly, the whole place started to shake. Just then, the Vault door blew off, striking one of the Fear Fangs and banishing it back to the Creature Realm. The kids looked on in shock as the corrupted Flametropus broke free of its imprisonment. "RUN!" Janet exclaimed. The kids and the Kazamas ran for the exit. Essence Elf, Buoyant Blowfish and Skull Cutter escaped their stables and went with them. "How could the Masters let this happen?" Allie asked as she put Skull Cutter in her backpack. "It wasn't an accident! The lock was smashed!" Ray exclaimed. They ran out of the Stables just as the Flametropus broke through the roof. "If it was on purpose, it could be a diversion." Gabe said. "Gabe's probably right." Terry said. "But a diversion from what?" Allie asked. "I don't know. What's the most valuable thing in this place?" Gabe questioned. "Tablets. In the Library." Ray said as he and Jen realized. "That's it! Someone used that weird hammer to smash open the Vault and free that Flametropus to distract the Duel Masters to give him or her time to steal the tablets from the Library!" Jen exclaimed. "Then we have to get to the Library! Come on!" Ray exclaimed.

As the kids and the Kazamas head up the stairs, Kimora saw the incident from the council chamber. "Oh no! Flametropus is loose! Quickly, children, get to safety!" He exclaimed. "But the Library!" Ray exclaimed. "Yes, good idea! Hide there!" Kimora exclaimed. "No! You don't understand!" Allie exclaimed "No time! We have to handle it ourselves!" Greta exclaimed as she and Terry dragged her off with the others following. "Mighty Shouter!" Kimora shouted, summoning his creature partner, a green anamorphic elephant called Mighty Shouter. As the kids and the Kazamas made it down the stairs, they saw Jaha at the bottom. "Black Feather of Shadow Abyss!" She shouted, summoning her creature partner, a floating horned skeleton wearing a large black robe named the Black Feather of Shadow Abyss. Just then, Kimora and Mighty Shouter were blown right out of the chamber by the Flametropus' flamethrower. As Kimora recovered, the Flametropus leapt down the stairs. Kimora, the kids and the Kazamas got out of the way as it landed. Hector and Gillaflame followed behind to help the other Masters as the kids and the Kazamas headed for the Library. "Get back!" Toji exclaimed as he blasted the Forest Hornet with an energy spear. Black Feather fired dark energy beams from its eyes, making the Megabug disappear. But then the Flametropus hit Black Feather with its flamethrower, making it disappear. The other Masters continued to use their creatures to blast the Flametropus. Mighty Shouter gave a loud trumpet at the leg. Rusalka doused the fire in its mouth. Ra-Vu then fired its lightning attack at the Flametropus. "Master Jaha, cast your Spell of Banishment on the Flametropus!" Nigel exclaimed. "We must weaken it first! Did you forget what a nightmare it was getting it into the Vault?!" Jaha exclaimed. Mighty Shouter gave another loud trumpet, giving the Flametropus a terrible earache and making it tumble into one of the statues.

The kids and the Kazamas entered the Library and found Fingers inside, holding a bag filled with tablets. "Fingers! We had a feeling it was you." Ray said. "Yeah, you really did seem the type to steal tablets for, let me guess…the Choten?" Jen guessed. "Well, can't put one over on you, can I? You really are the naturals." Fingers said as he started to walk away. But Ray stepped in his way and blocked him. Fingers tried to swat him with the bag, but Ray acted quickly and grabbed it. "Why?" Ray asked. "I'm so tired of pretending to be lame little Fingers to these 'hero' Duel Masters." Fingers said, tugging the bag back. "Well, we're not gonna let you do this." Jen said. Everyone held out their gauntlets. "Don't get stupid." Fingers warned. Allie, Portia and Maribel looked at each other and thought of a plan. "You know, guys, we don't know much about the Masters. And all we know about the Choten is what they told us. Let's hear him out. Maybe we're on the wrong side." Allie said. The others noticed what Allie was playing at and followed along. "Well, looks like you're the smart one here, blondie. There's a war coming. Us against monsters. These tablets are of the most powerful creatures who we will use to win the war." Fingers explained. "Nice to know your plan. Good job making him spill, Allie." Jen said. The kids and the Kazamas took position by the Okamoto Twins. Even Essence Elf, Buoyant Blowfish and Kenina got ready to fight.

"14 against 1. Give it up." Ray warned. "Ha! Yeah, not so much." Fingers said, powering up his tech gauntlet. "Terradragon Regarion Doom!" He shouted, tearing the Veil open and forcing a giant green dragon creature into the temple. "Whoa! That's a big dragon!" Greta exclaimed with worry. "Gabe, strategy please!" Allie exclaimed with worry. "Um…RUN!" Gabe cried. "Good. You lot run. We'll handle this thing." Sakura said. "Ha! Good luck with that." Fingers said as he forced his control on the Terradragon. "Grove Protector!" Sakura shouted. "Citizen Tokori!" Kaito shouted. "Haven's Elite!" Miku shouted. 3 doorways opened and the 3 creatures came to their summoners' aid. "Ha! Weaklings!" Fingers exclaimed, motioning his hand. Terradragon swung its tail and struck the 3 creatures hard and making them disappear before the Kazamas could even give them a command. The Kazamas were shocked from what happened so quickly. "Ha! You should see your faces! So much for the promising Kazama Triplets!" Fingers exclaimed mockingly. He motioned his hand again and the Terradragon swung its tail again. The Kazamas conjured their mana shields, but the force of the blow was powerful enough to send them flying, knocking them out. "Sakura! Kaito!" Ray cried. "Miku!" Jen cried. Fingers sent the Terradragon after the kids.

"Tatsurion the Unchained!" Ray shouted. "Skarvos the Assassin!" Jen shouted. The doorways opened and the 2 hybrids came through as called. "You again? Where are we now?" Tatsurion asked. "Looks like a library." Skarvos said. Just then, the 2 creatures noticed the Terradragon as it climbed on top of the tablet shelves. "I owe those 2 some payback." Fingers said. "I remember this one. What's happening here?" Tatsurion asked. "He's stealing tablets with information on thousands of creatures like you and Skarvos." Ray said as he explained, making Tatsurion and Skarvos glare at Fingers in anger. "He's going to take them to his master and enslave them if we don't stop him." Jen added. "Forget it, kids. Even with Tatsurion and Skarvos, you can't stop me." Fingers said. "Oh, that was not the right thing to say to my new friend here." Skarvos said. "Yeah. Never tell me can't!" Tatsurion growled. They lunged for the Terradragon, but it swatted them with its tail. Ray and Jen were caught as they landed and tumbled against the wall. Fingers smiled as he stood over them.

"Not so easy when my monster's more powerful than yours." Fingers said. "Don't. Call them. Monsters!" Jen exclaimed. Tatsurion and Skarvos picked up Ray and Jen, and placed them on their back and shoulder. "I got the dragon!" Tatsurion exclaimed as he snagged the Terradragon with his chain and pulled it down to the ground. But then the Terradragon fired thorns from its tail. Ray and Jen quickly blocked them with their mana shields. "We need to change tactics. Just like before. It's the only way we can win." Jen said. "Another Bob and Weave tactic?" Tatsurion asked. "That tactic's actually starting to grow on me." Skarvos said. Suddenly, Ray noticed that the Azurite started glowing again. "Wait. I think I can break Fingers' control." He said. Jen, Tatsurion and Skarvos were confused at that. Fingers just laughed. "How do you think you can break my control of this monster?" He asked. "Like this!" Ray exclaimed. He motioned his hand as it and the Azurite glowed brightly and unleashed a bright blue light, blinding the Terradragon. As the light died down, the Terradragon just stood and stared at Ray, Jen, Tatsurion and Skarvos. "What're you waiting for, you big dumb lizard?! Finish them off!" Fingers exclaimed, motioning his hand. But the Terradragon didn't respond. Instead, it turned around and snarled at him, much to his shock. "I don't believe it, Ray. You did it! Fingers no longer controls that dragon." Jen said.

Fingers slowly backed away as the Terradragon snarled at him. "Fine! If you don't want to obey my orders, I'll summon a more obedient monster." He said, preparing to summon another creature. "Guys, you have to duel!" Ray called. "Stop him from summoning another creature!" Jen called. Gabe and Greta stepped up and motioned the proper movements. "Blinder Beetle!" Gabe shouted. "Jetflame Lizard!" Greta shouted. 2 doorways opened and the 2 creatures came through. "We did it!" Gabe cheered. "We rule, baby!" Greta cheered, giving Gabe a high-five. Allie brought Skull Cutter out from her bag. Kenina perched herself on Terry's shoulder. Essence Elf sprouted next to Portia. And Buoyant Blowfish floated next to Maribel. "Okay, Skull Cutter. Aim for the gauntlet. Attack!" Allie ordered. Skull Cutter charged in and slashed the gauntlet with its blade arm, damaging it. Fingers was surprised by this. The Kazamas recovered and looked on as the children motioned their arms and commanded their creatures to attack. Kenina attacked with a fireball. Blowfish blasted a jet of water from its mouth. Essence Elf attacked with its poisoned thorns. Blinder Beetle fired a beam of light. Jetflame Lizard fired a flamethrower from his hands. Terradragon fired thorns from its tail. All the attacks hit the gauntlet at once and destroyed it. Tatsurion fired rockets from his wrist plate and Skarvos fired beams of darkness from his eyes. Fingers dodged the attacks and ran out of the library. "We can't let him get away!" Ray exclaimed. "Don't worry. He won't." Tatsurion said. "Then let's go get him, Bob." Ray said. Tatsurion was a bit stunned by that name, but smiled in acceptance before going after Fingers. "You too, Weave. Let's go." Jen said. "With pleasure, little one." Skarvos said before following Tatsurion. The Kazamas were amazed at how well their friends dueled.

As the Masters continued battling the Flametropus, Janet and Hector noticed Ray, Jen, Tatsurion and Skarvos chasing after Fingers towards the stairs to the dojo. They motioned for their creatures and followed them. Fingers made it to the door to the dojo. Ray and Jen leapt off Tatsurion and Skarvos since they were too big for the door. "We got this." Ray said. The Okamoto Twins pounced on Fingers and took the bag of tablets back. "I think these belong to us." Jen said. Fingers got up, turned around and glared at the twins. Just then, Gillaflame and Jarbala Keeper showed up to help the twins. "I may not be bringing tablets to the Choten. But I can bring him that Azurite!" Fingers exclaimed as he went to grab the Azurite. But as he grabbed it, the Azurite started to glow. "What's happening?! What's happening?!" He exclaimed in a panic. Just then, he started to glow as well. A bright light flashed from him, blinding the Okamoto Twins. When the light died down, they saw that Fingers was gone. They looked at the floor and saw a ragdoll that looked like Fingers. They were shocked at what happened. But then they remembered the Duel Masters and the Flametropus.

Back in the temple, the Flametropus was still spewing its fire attacks at the Masters and their creatures. The kids had arrived and prepared to help. "You guys ready?" Allie asked. "You know it, Allie." Terry said. "Always." Greta said. "Yeah." Portia and Maribel said simultaneously. "Well, really, I doubt that anything on the planet could-" Gabe tried to say. "Gabe!" The kids all exclaimed. As the kids ran towards the fight, Rusalka hit the Flametropus' mind with his psychic attack. "Jaha, cast your spell!" Nadia exclaimed. "Need…more…time!" Jaha exclaimed as she prepared the spell. Just then, the Masters spotted the kids coming to their aid. Gabe motioned his hand and Blinder Beetle fired a light beam at Flametropus' left leg. Terry motioned his hand and Kenina fired a fireball at the other leg. Greta motioned her hand and Jetflame Lizard leapt up and delivered several flaming punches to Flametropus' head. Allie, Portia and Maribel motioned their hands simultaneously and Skull Cutter, Essence Elf and Buoyant Blowfish attacked Flametropus' legs, forcing it to its knees. Shadows began to surround Jaha as the Spell of Banishment was near completion.

As Ray and Jen reentered the temple, they hopped back onto Tatsurion and Skarvos, and rushed back towards the fight. Nigel motioned his hand for Ra-Vu to attack, but the Flametropus slammed its hand on the Light creature, making him disappear. Mighty Shouter prepared to attack again, but Flametropus spewed its fire at him, making him disappear too. "Just another moment." Jaha said. By then, Ray, Jen, Tatsurion and Skarvos rushed in. As the 2 hybrids prepared to attack, Flametropus quickly retaliated and knocked them aside, making Ray and Jen fall off them. "RAY! JEN! NO!" Janet cried. Flametropus raised its foot and prepared to finish the twins. Just then, the Azurite started glowing again. "Flametropus, be-" Jaha tried to say as she started to cast the spell. But then the Azurite unleashed a blinding light.

When the light finally died down, everyone looked up at the Flametropus. It didn't look as angry as it did before. Ray and Jen stood up and walked up to the creature. As it noticed them, to everyone's surprise, it knelt down and nuzzled the Okamoto Twins. They weren't sure how, but they knew they had somehow purified the creature of its corruption. "You're welcome, big guy." Ray said. "You're gonna be okay now." Jen said. Tatsurion and Skarvos walked up to them. "You 2 really are something special. With the power of the Azurite, you managed to cure this creature of its corruption." Tatsurion said. "Thanks, Bob. Um, Tatsurion." Ray said. "You can call me Bob." Tatsurion/Bob said. "And you can call me Weave too." Skarvos/Weave said. Ray and Jen smiled at them.

"YOU! You were responsible for the breakout! AND FOR THIS!" Nigel shouted accusingly as he gestured to the surrounding damage. "No, Nigel. They prevented a theft from the Library. It was all Fingers working for the Choten." Hector said. "I always knew there was something off about that 3-fingered fink." Janet said. "We must be more careful who we trust." Kimora said. "Speaking of which, these 8 have proved quite trustworthy today." Hector said. "True. The children came to our aid in battle. And were quite effective." Jaha said. "And the twins managed to purify the Flametropus of the Choten's corruption with the Azurite, succeeding where we could not." Kimora said. "They may have little talent and no technique, but they do have promise." Nadia said. "Then…it is decided." Nigel said.

Later, the children stood in the council chamber with the Masters, Janet and the Kazamas. "Acolytes, present your gauntlets." Hector instructed. Allie, Gabe, Terry, Greta, Portia and Maribel presented their gloves. The Masters held out their gauntlets and fueled them with mana. Allie's gauntlet was light purple. Gabe's was baby blue. Terry's was black with orange highlights. Greta's was light brown. Portia's was sea green with a teal highlight. And Maribel's was indigo. "Welcome to the Order of the Kaijudo Duel Masters." Nigel said. The kids all looked at Ray and Jen, who held up their own gauntlets.

Meanwhile, the Choten was in his secret lair as he, Alakshmi and Saanvi approached one of his servants, a humanoid Water creature named Aqua Seneschal, who greeted his master with a bow. The Choten activated a machine that ripped open a tear in the Veil. The Terrasaur from earlier stood before the portal, armed with a giant claw. As the claw fired into the portal, one of the Choten's minions commanded the Terrasaur to bring the creature they captured through the portal, revealing it to be another Flametropus. "So, Fingers' mission wasn't really about getting the tablets?" Alakshmi asked. "It was about acquiring creatures. Whether by tablets or by freeing those the Duel Masters were keeping prisoner, my army grows." The Choten said. Saanvi looked to her belt, revealing to have Fingers' doll attached to it. After having found the doll in the dojo, she took it as a good luck charm until the effects could be reversed if possible.

The next day, Ray, Jen and their friends were waiting by the bus stop. Ray and Jen were doodling in their sketchbook again. "Hmm. He's more…red." Allie said. "Okay." Ray said. "And he needs a little more blue." Greta said. "Got it." Jen said. Just then, 5 familiar shadows approached them. "Well, if it isn't our favorite punching bags." Carny said, getting the twins' attention. "You know what we like about you and your sister, mutt? When we sock you 2, it's like beating up 2 people at the same time." Candy said. The bullies all laughed at that. Having had enough, the kids stood up and glared at the bullies. "You're right. We're Japanese and we're white and we're here. And you're both going to have to live with it." Ray said. "Yes. Because we're not going anywhere." Jen said. The kids all took their stance, ready to fight. Seeing that they were outnumbered, Carny and Candy scoffed. "You're not worth our time." Carny said as he, Candy, Sykes, Nickels and Icey walked away. When they were gone, Ray and Jen picked up their sketchbook and finished their sketches of Bob and Weave. "It's perfect." Gabe said.

Wow! How was that for a part 3? As Ray, Jen and their friends were about to have their minds wiped, the Azurite protected them from the Memory Swarm. The children were given a second chance to join the Order of the Kaijudo Duel Masters. But then the next day, they caught on to the treachery of Fingers. They managed to foil him before the Azurite turned him into a doll. And after returning to the temple, with everyone's help, they managed to purify the Choten's corruption on the escaped Flametropus. Afterwards, all the children were rightfully accepted into the Order of the Kaijudo Duel Masters. What does the Choten plan to use his enslaved creature army for? Are the Kaijudo creatures really misunderstood? What other secret powers does the Azurite hold? Leave a review if you'd like.
