Bewitched

Chapter 8: Culture Shock: A Young Sorceress Returns to her Family's Homeland

At the Smith-Yang home

Martin, Max, Mei and LaoLao were in the living room, while Misty was still sulking in her room. Or at least, that is what they thought.

In any case, Laolao was making tea and serving it to her daughter and her grandsons. However, she was still concerned about Misty and her recent behavior.

"Misty still hasn't left her room yet..."She said, worried for her granddaughter.

Mei frowned in disapproval.

"That girl is so stubborn. I honestly don't know where she got that attitude from..."She muttered.

"I think that I know..."Laolao said as she sent her daughter a knowing look.

Mei flinched and turned her face away from Laolao. The middle aged woman avoided her mother's gaze and tried to focus on her tea. Martin and Max were both drinking their tea and tried not adding fuel to the fire.

Or at least one of them was while other spoke up.

"How long do you think Misty will stay up in her bedroom for?..."Max said, unaware his older brother was wondering the same thing.

"She hasn't been in there this long since that scary movie she saw when she was 10..."He thought, now thinking something was wrong.

Martin then remembered what his younger sister said earlier that caught his attention and concern, then faced his mother to ask her about it.

"What did she mean by saying that she was sorry for being a disappointment?..."He asked Mei, who waved her hand dismissively.

"Not the moment, Martin..." Mei replied with a frown.

"Mei, just have some tea. You know that it helps to help dispel any forms of animosity..."The old lady said.

"I don't need tea or dispelling of anything, Mother..."Mei said, pushing it aside.

"I beg to differ..." Laolao said under her breath.

"I must check up on Misty to see if she's learned her lesson and is willing to properly apologize to us yet..."Mei said, getting up.

"She'd better be studying too, if she knows what's good for her..."She said, as she went upstairs to her daughter's room.

Laoalo heard this and sighed.

"What am I going to do with that girl?..."She whispered as her grandsons looked wary but for different reasons.

Upstairs

Mei was now in front of the door that lead to Misty's bedroom. She knocked on the door, but received no answer.

She frowned.

"Misty, I am both respecting your privacy by knocking but also asserting my authority as your mother by coming in anyway..."She said, as she opened the door.

She saw her daughter on the bed, her nose deep in one of her school books and not answering her.

Mei frowned.

"Misty..."She said, unaware that she was speaking to a hologram.

"Yes, what is it?..."Misty said, in an almost robotic tone.

Mei frowned.

"Young lady, look at me when I'm talking to you!..."Mei said, irritated with her attitude.

The mother was frowning more, as her "daughter" kept looking at her book and Mei was thinking that "Misty" is giving her the cold shoulder.

"No. I'm busy studying, like you want..."Misty said, not looking at her.

That got on her mother's nerve.

"If you keep this up this attitude, you can forget about having dessert tonight!..."Mei said, hands on her hips.

Her "daughter" still didn't even looking at her, not moving at all.

"Excuse me? I said no dessert! Did you hear me, young lady?!..."Mei said, angry.

"Yes, and that's fine by me..."Misty said in the same tone, still not looking away from the book.

The mother was ticked and nearly losses her patience, until she took in a deep breath and regained her composer.

"Easy there, Mei. She's just being difficult right now. She's a teen, after all..."She thought, deciding to try again.

"Come talk to us and apologize, then you can have all you want..."Mei tried, but her daughter said nothing.

This made Mei angry, and her strict mother attitude returned.

"Alright, fine! Have it your way! No red bean buns for you tonight!..."She said as she storms out of her daughter's bedroom, slamming the door shut.

Mei rubs the temple of her forehead out of slight frustration with Misty's attitude and sighed.

"What am I going to do with that girl? She's getting worse!..."She muttered, wondering why she is so rebellious lately.

The mother decided to get some more tea to calm her nerves and wait for later before someone approached her.

"Uh...Mom..."Martin said as he came up the stairs, seeing how tense his mother was right now.

"Martin, don't. Your sister seems to be in one of her more stubborn moods..."Mei said, while her eldest child approached her.

The dark haired boy sighed with a shake of his head, before he tried to reason with her and step in.

"Uh, Mom. Why don't you let me talk to her?..."Martin suggested.

Mei grumbled to herself before nodding.

"Might as well, maybe you'll have better luck with her than me..."She said as she walked away from the room.

That left Martin alone with what he thought was his little sister.

"Hey, Misty..."He said.

He received no answer. He sighed and tried again.

"Look...sis...I'm worried. You're acting really hostile and gloomy. More so than usual..."He said, half joking.

He got no response from his sister and realized that now probably isn't the time for jokes.

"Right...not the time. Sorry. Seriously, is something going on with you?..."He tried, not knowing what's wrong with Misty.

He still received no answer and wasn't all that surprised, since they sort of lost touch even before he left to go to college. Still, he tried to be there for her.

"Come on, Sis. Say something, even if it's an insult at me or making fun of me like you used to when I still lived here..."He said, getting nothing.

"I guess that she's in no mood to talk. At least not to me..."He thought sadly, giving up for now.

Laolao soon appeared and approached Martin.

"Martin...Misty...I brought some more tea. Take some..."She said, as she walked into the room.

It was clear that she came up here because she was worried about them.

Laolao noticed Misty and how she wasn't even looking at her. She tried to cheer her granddaughter up with the one thing they've always done together, since Misty was a child.

"Misty, there are some red bean buns downstairs. Your favorite. I know your mother said "no dessert" but I'm the one who made them and I can decide who gets some. Come on, why not come down and share some with your favorite Laolao?..."Laolao offered, trying to cheer her up.

"No thanks, I'm good..."Misty said, still not looking away from the book.

Laolao and Martin were really getting worried now.

Misty really loved her grandmother's homemade desserts, especially red bean buns. Seeing her reject the offer of eating any with her Laolao was cause for some concern. Almost like it wasn't her.

"Misty never says no for any excuse to eat Laolao's/my homemade red bean buns. Something is definitely not right with her..."They both thought, as each of them could that something was wrong.

"Are you sure that you don't want to reconsider?..."Laolao said, but received the same response from her granddaughter.

"No thanks, I'm fine..."Misty said, her expression and tone never changing.

This made the old woman worried again, as she has never seen her granddaughter this unresponsive before, especially with her own Laolao. She never received the cold shoulder from her before and it felt off.

The old lady nodded silently and decided to give her some space.

"Alright, Dear. Well, I leave some saved for you in case you change your mind. Just remember that we are here for you if you need us..."The old woman said, wondering what her granddaughter must be going through.

Misty didn't respond, she kept reading like she didn't even notice them. Almost as if she can't.

Martin and Laolao walked out of the room and didn't know what to think. They didn't know what to do about Misty and it was getting really concerning to them.

Especially since this was the first time that one of Misty's cold shoulder felt genuinely cold to them.

"I guess that I really am out of practice at being an older brother..."He thought, feeling disappointed.

"Laolao...what the heck is going on? I know that Misty could sometimes be moody, but I've never seen her like this before..."He said.

Laolao sighed.

"Your sister has been going through some issues lately. Give her some space, I am sure that she will calm down after some time..."The old woman said, worried about her granddaughter.

However, she hoped that it was just a phase and nothing too serious.

"So, she's acting out. She's so much like her mother at that age. It's a shame that neither of them realize that just yet..."The old woman said, as her eldest grandson seemed confused by that remark, but would ask about that another time.

She and Martin went downstairs together, hoping that some time and space is what Misty needs to calm down and some time to relax her mind. Hopefully enough that she might be willing to talk things out with them.

Or at least, that's what she had hoped.

Unknown to the family, the real Misty was far, far away from home right now. She's not even in the same continent right now.

Meanwhile

With the real Misty

Misty and her spell book had just jumped into the natural portal.

The dark haired girl turned around and saw that she was no longer in the Ghost Zone. Right now, she was back in the human realm. Not only that, but she seemed to be in some kind of mountainous area, seeing miles and miles of flora and fauna.

"Wow! what is this place?!..."She asked as she looked around.

"The Qinling Mountains in the Eastern province of Shaanxi. In other words, China, the birthplace of the Yang Clan..."The book explained, sounding proud right now.

Misty looked amazed, and soon realized that they actually made it here.

"We did it, we're actually here! This is so cool!..."She said, having never been in China before.

"Do not celebrate yet, my dear. We still need to find the orchid and make the potion..."He explained.

"I know. But this is still amazing. So amazing! So incredibly amazing!..."Misty said, as she looked around.

She saw many exotic plants and animals nearby, all native to this land. She enjoyed every sight.

"Wow! This so beats that lame trip to the Big Canyon last year!..."She said, as she saw things she never saw before in person.

"Misty, focus. Also, don't you mean the Grand Canyon?..."The book asked.

Misty frowned as she rolled her eyes.

"I wish. That place is actually cool, but mom is too cheap to go there and took us to a clear knockoff instead. So lame..."She complained.

The spell book was simply surprised to hear someone would make a knockoff of a natural location.

Misty knew that she needed to find the orchid fast, but she was still amazed to be here in her ancestors homeland and to see so many plants and animals that she had never seen in person before, some of which is found nowhere else on Earth.

"Amazing!..."She said.

"So, this truly is your first time visiting the homeland?..."The book asked.

"I've never been to Asia before. Heck, I've never even left the state before. I've only ever read about places like China and watched nature documentaries. I know, it's so lame, but hopefully we'll be able to change all of that after me and Danny get together..."Misty said as they kept exploring.

She couldn't help, but admire the natural beauty of the famous Chinese mountains.

She saw so many exotic flowers, trees, insects and animals in this majestic area, and she couldn't look away from the view of the mountains and scenery beyond it all.

"So beautiful..."She said, taking the time to see everything.

"Yes, China truly is a beautiful place. It is a shame your ancestors had to leave...But that's another story. One that's best told later when we have more time to tell about it..."He said.

Even the spell book took a brief second to admire his homeland until refocusing on the task at hand.

"Anyway, time to find that orchid..."He said.

"Right. Well, there should be one around here someplace..."Misty said as they kept looking around.

The young sorceress tried not to get too distracted with the beautiful scenery around as Misty searched for what she came here for. While still taking one or two selfies as visual memento of her first visit to China.

"Nihao!..."Misty said as she took the picture.

Her spell book sent her a look.

"Really?..."He asked.

Misty shrugged.

"What? This is still technically my first visit here. I wanna capture the moment..."She said.

If her spell book could, he would have rolled his eyes at that. Misty took her picture and continued to look for the plant that she came here to get. However, after half an hour of looking around and trying to avoid some of the "less friendly" flora and fauna of the area.

Misty was getting frustrated.

"This is getting us nowhere! There's like over a hundred different kinds of plants and flowers in this area alone! So far, none of them are even the right color!..."She complained.

"It seems the flower has grown scarcer than I expected it to..."The book said, an audible groan being heard.

"Maybe there is a town near here and I can find some flower seller or something..."Misty said, tired.

Her spell book was silent as if sending he a look for a brief moment.

"Do you honestly believe that a merchant from here will accept American currency as payment?..."He asked in a scolding way.

Misty realized her spell book's point and groaned.

"I can't believe that I forgot about that..."She muttered, regretting not exchanging her last dollars for Chinese money.

"Is there a spell to turn my American money into whatever currency they use here?..."Misty asked.

"No. There isn't. Also, it is called Won. So, your best bet is to find a wild orchid..."He said.

"Whatever, let's just do this so that I can look forward to having Danny as my prom date and deciding when is the best time to get married..."Misty said, as they kept looking.

"Best hurry. We only have another half hour before the natural portal closes..."He explained.

"What?! Why didn't you say that earlier?!..."Misty snapped.

"I apologized, but I didn't think it would take this long to search for one simple orchid..."He said, not realizing how much difficulty there would be.

Misty frowned and groaned, as she knew that she didn't have a choice here.

"The things I do for love..."She muttered, as she kept searching the Chinese mountain side to find the orchid that was the key to her destiny.

Misty may be a stubborn teen at times, but she was certainly no quitter whenever it involves something she wanted. No matter what she had to do... or how dangerous it was.

Later

They spent another 10 minutes looking around the area, then took short water break and catch her breath.

"This is taking longer than I thought..." Misty said to herself.

"Indeed... a shame this is not a spell that requires something that was just as common today as it was back then..." The book said.

Misty took a deep breath and was ready to call it quits until she spotted something right beside her improvised rock chair that looked very familiar to her.

"Hey, spell book. Is this it?..."Misty asked as she spotted what looked like an orchid.

Misty wasn't completely sure herself since she never saw it before. The spell book examined it and was told the best news that she had heard in the last hour of her search.

"You found it, Misty! This is the very flower that we need!..."Her spell book said, sounding excited.

Misty smiled and was thrilled, her quest to search all the ingredients for the potion to cure Danny was now completed.

"ALRIGHT! We found it! Danny's gonna be mine! YAHOO!..."Misty cheered, as she grabbed her spell book and spun it around in happiness.

"Misty..W-Wait...the orchid!..."The book shouted, sounding dizzy right now.

"Oh right!..."Misty said, eager to get it.

She tried to reach for her, but her spell book stopped her.

"Be careful. You mustn't simply pull it out of the ground. The petals need to be freshly plucked to use in the spell and still connected to it's roots. Best use a spell, since we don't have a shovel right now..."He explained.

Misty did as she was told. She cast a spell and managed to remove the beautiful orchid from it's soil without harming it's petals or roots. Misty used a telekinesis spell to safely place it in her bag.

Once it was secured, she smiled.

"Awesome, search completed and future as Mrs. Fenton is assured!..."Misty said, fist pumping.

"It's too early to celebrate. We still need to make the potion first...then you can enjoy your future with Danny to your heart's content..."He said.

"Right. Time to head home and start brewing up my cure for Danny..."Misty said, excited and happy that things seem to be working out.

She and her spell book went back to the natural portal, Misty chanted another spell and soon the two were back in Elmerton.

With only encountering low level ghosts on their way back through the Ghost Zone and thankfully no trouble.

Meanwhile

In America

Danny and Star had managed to clean up the little mess from the unexpected "ham incident" and Star managed to get the stain out of her shirt.

However, the couple was still unaware of what was going behind the scenes with the young sorceress. All they knew was misfortunes kept happening.

"At least the stain finally got out..."Star grumbled.

"Sorry about that Starlight. This definitely wasn't how I expected or wanted to end our date..."He said.

Danny would have phased it off, but his parents were home and they didn't want to risk it.

"It's not your fault, Danny-boo..."Star said, not holding any of what recently happened against him.

However, the "ham incident" did remind Star of the strange random occurrences that's been happening today.

"Is it just me or has today been weirder than usual?..."She asked, recalling how today had been slightly off for some reason.

"What do you mean?..."Danny asked, since he did not see any ghosts out causing trouble.

"The weird music...my hair getting electrified...my makeup getting ruined...YOU nearly chocking and then almost getting your mouth burned off, along with you almost poking my eye out during a kiss and that thing with that glowing ham suddenly flying in and splattering all over your wall and onto my shirt..."Star pointed out, listing off everything that's happened today.

Danny blinked.

"In all honest, I'm used to freaky, out of nowhere stuff long before we dated. We could see the Ninja Turtles on the streets and I wouldn't be too surprised..."Danny said, before he thought about it.

"Still, I guess it is weird all that happened on the same day, now that I really think about it..."He said,as he pondered it. "But I know it's not ghost related or I would have sensed it..."He pointed out.

Star, however, had her own ideas of what might be happening.

"The last time weird stuff like this happened and you couldn't sense it, a certain fairy almost turned half the town into his personal playground..."She pointed out.

Danny thought about it and could his girlfriend's reasoning, but he still wasn't so sure yet.

"You really think that Puck is behind it?..."He asked.

"Well, I can't really think of any other explanation. Maybe he got bored of torturing Vlad and came back here to mess with us again..."She suggested.

"Hmm...I dunno...I mean...I know that Puck is sly and tricky...but he always draws the line at hurting people...I mean...I can see the thing with the music shop and your make up...but the thing with your hair and what happened to me could have been dangerous and we could have legitimately gotten hurt there..."He said, unsure that the fairy did it.

Star thought about it and could see the flaws at Puck being the culprit. However, she couldn't think of anyone else at the moment since Danny admitted he didn't sense any ghosts.

"Maybe he slipped up...or maybe he wanted to shake things up and raise the bar a little..."She said, but even she didn't seem so sure about that.

"No, I don't know. Puck is tricky but...well...I can't explain it but I don't think this is his handiwork..."He said, going with his gut on this.

"Maybe Colette is up to her old tricks again?..."He suggested.

"She still refuses to leave her room due to her "blemished skin"..."Star explained.

"I can see her targeting me, but we both know that even she wouldn't risk damaging you since she sees you as a trophy to steal away and flaunt..."She said, knowing her rotten step-sister for better or worse.

"True..."Danny said bitterly, as he tried to come up with his own answer.

"Maybe she was trying to target you instead, but aimed at me instead by mistake. She's not exactly the perfect marks-woman, and she's not exactly patient to say the least..."He said, thinking that this isn't too far fetched.

"I can see that happening, but Mom has told me that Colette is still refusing to leave her room and she is still monitoring all of Colette's shopping and purchases, since she is still ticked from that bill during Halloween..."Star explained.

"I guess that rules her out..."Danny said, still confused of who could be behind this.

Danny and Star were even beginning to suspect that they might be dealing with something or someone new, or perhaps another pest they usually deal with was trying to mess with their minds.

As the young couple wondered on what the unknown troublemaker might try next, Jack and Maddie came up from the basement, as they were letting the lab air out a bit.

"Hey you two, how's the clean up going?..."Jack greeted.

"Oh just peach, Dad. We managed to get the stain out of Star's shirt..."Danny said.

"Good to hear...still...I was pretty sure that we didn't have any ecto samples in the fridge..."Jack said, as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Well, it wouldn't be the first time you forgot to make sure about that..."Danny muttered under his breath, not that his parents noticed.

"Will you be staying for dinner, Star?..."Maddie asked.

"As much as I'd like to, I can't. I promised my dad that I'd be home for dinner tonight. It's rare for him to get out of work early, and Georgia's making a roast for dinner tonight. Can't miss that..."Star explained.

"I see. Well, tell Johnathan that we said hi..."Maddie said.

"While your at it, can you deliver this to him?..."Jack said, as she handed her something.

"What is this?..."Star asked, but soon saw that it was a DVD.

"Your dad let me borrow his copy of the Billington Island movie. I just remembered that I was suppose to give it back..."Jack said, after borrowing it after their trip to New York not too long ago.

"Okay, I'll make sure that he gets them back..."Star said, placing it in her purse.

While Star was making sure she had everything with her, the ghost boy decided to do what every loving boyfriend does for his girlfriend, go the extra mile with her.

"I'll walk you home, Star..."Danny said.

"Thanks, Boo. You with me, the walk back home will be much less boring ..."Star said, as she smiled at him.

Being the proper gentleman, Danny opened the front door for his girlfriend. Star appreciated the gesture, but grabbed his arm instead since she wanted to walk out together, which the ghost boy didn't show any signs of refusal.

Far from it actually.

The young couple walked out of the house together, while Danny's parents watched and admired how adorable those looked together.

"They really do make such a cute couple..."Maddie said, smiling.

"Just like us, especially during our younger years..."Jack said, as he wrapped his arm around her.

Maddie smiled at that.

"Yeah, they remind me of us when we started dating in college. Oh, those were the days..."She said with a nostalgic smile.

Her husband had the same kind of smile and nodded.

"Speaking of which, I haven't seen or heard from V-man in awhile, since before our trip to New York to be honest. After he comes back from his unexpected vacation, we should really invite him over and fill him in on what's happened so far..."Jack said.

Maddie frowned.

"Why don't we put a pin in that?..."She muttered, not looking forward to seeing him again.

"As long as that creep doesn't try to hit on me, I can just barely tolerate his presence when he's boasting about his money and "mayoral achievements" when he's pretentiously acting like he actually cares about other people. Boy, I feel pity for whatever woman winds up with a guy with an ego like his?..."The Fenton mother thought, genuine sorry for whomever ends up with Vlad.

She was unaware of what that creep is doing right now, and with whom. Which might actually be for the best.

Meanwhile

In Paris

Vlad and Alicia were still on their honeymoon.

They were currently walking around and trying out the local cuisine by some shops near the Eiffel tower. Alicia was taking some more pictures and happily admiring all the sights that the famous city had to offer.

The hillbilly wife was smiling widely as she clung to his arm and dragged him to wherever she wanted to go.

"Vladdy baby, we should go to the top and take some pictures together from up there..."Alicia said, fluttering her eyes at him.

Her husband sent her a "loving" smile and nodded.

"Yes, that sounds like a marvelous idea...Sweetheart..."Vlad said, forced to smile at her.

"Maybe if I "accidentally fall off that blasted tower", maybe I can finally be free of this accursed potion..."He thought miserably, actually considering the idea.

However, he suddenly thought of something that killed the appeal of that idea.

"But wait...what if it still keeps working...even if I return as a full ghost?!..."He thought, terrified of such an idea.

He briefly imagined himself as a full ghost, and his "Vlad Plasmius" form acting all loving to Alicia and continuing to be her slave. The idea was somehow even more sick and twisted than what he's already experienced, if that was even possible.

"No! There is no way of knowing if it would work. Even if I wanted to, this stupid potion won't let me! I still have no control over my own body!..."He thought, still feeling trapped as his wife dragged him to the iconic tower.

"Come on, Vladdy. After we take some pictures at the top of the tower, we can then go grab a bite at that super expensive cafe that's near here...and after that, we can have a lil more sugar..."Alicia said, as she wiggled her eyebrows at him.

Vlad felt internally sick yet again, but was forced to literally grin and bare it.

"Anything you say...Darling..."Vlad said, with that forced smile on his face.

"I'M STILL DOOMED!..."He thought in pure misery, as his horrible honeymoon continued.

All the while, he really wished that he was anywhere else in the word, far away from his so-called wife.

Back with Danny and Star

Danny and Star were walking to her house.

Normally, he'd fly her there but right now, they'd rather walk and they still had a few things to talk about. Namely about whoever was antagonizing them today. Someone that wasn't a ghost this time.

"Who do we know would do this to us? It can't be Zoren, we're on kind of good terms. I'd think it was a ghost, but I would have sensed something..."Danny said.

"I still think Puck has something to do with what's been happening today...but now that I think about it...nearly choking you is too extreme, even for him..."She said.

"Yeah, and electrifying you was a step way too far. He's not evil, he just has his own sense of morality..."Danny said, since it didn't seem like his style.

"Besides, after all the rotten things Vlad did in New York, I don't think he'd stop messing with him after just a few weeks. I mean, we're talking about the same fairy that threatened to turn Sam into a sheep and all of us into zoo animals or rummage sale junk over a school play..."Star pointed out.

"Yeah, he's really petty, but has enough sense to not go over the edge...hopefully..."Danny said.

Star nodded in agreement, even if she and the rest of Team Phantom doesn't trust him all that much. Granted, they'd keep that to themselves, knowing better than to provoke the fair folk.

"Honestly, I don't care what Puck is doing to Vlad right now. Whatever it is, he deserved it and I'll be happy as long if it means that fruitloop is away from us and my family..."Danny said, relieved to at least a break from his arch-enemy.

"Can't argue with that..."His girlfriend said, seeing that the fairy man is punishing the old fruitloop both for his own reason, but also indirectly for their benefit too.

The couple soon arrived to Star's house and were a bit disappointed that they had to say their goodbye for now.

"You sure that you don't wanna come inside and hang for a bit, Danny-Boo?..."Star asked.

"You know that I would if I could, but I still haven't finished our chemistry homework and we don't share that period, unfortunately..."Danny said.

"Right..."Star said, recalling that.

"Anyway, I'll call you tonight, Babe. The very first chance that I get..."Danny said, pressing his forehead against Star's.

"Love you, Boo..."Star said, staring lovingly into his blue eyes.

"Love you too, Starlight. Forever and ever..."Danny said, making her smile.

The young couple soon shared a kiss and stayed kissing for seconds. But soon enough, they slowly parted and took slower steps away before they both went home. Danny soon left to go headed back home for said homework.

Star went inside her home to wait for her father to arrive home for dinner and a talk. However, both teens were unaware of what was happening in the next town and how much trouble it was going to cause them.

And that trouble just got home.

Meanwhile

In Elmerton

Misty was now in the basement, using all of her clan's scrolls and the "cauldron" from the other time.

She was wearing the Yang clan's ancestral robe as she mixed together all the ingredients for the potion.

"Okay, 2 cups of pure pomegranate juice and the feather..."Misty said as she poured the juices and feather inside the cauldron.

After she mixed them together, she then added the pig liver, the peach pit, the cashew nuts, the chicken's egg, the dog hair and the cat's whisker. She mixed them all together and they soon turned into a greenish, goo like substance.

"How does it look so far?..."She asked her spell book.

"So far so good. Now to add the coin..."He explained.

Misty did so and dropped the coin inside, only to watch it dissolve. She was surprised.

"Wow..."She said before realizing what just happened. "Wait, how are we suppose to return it now?..."She asked, worried it'd be noticed.

"Don't worry, I'll show you a spell to restore it later. For now, focus on the potion..."He ordered.

Misty did so and mixed it in with all the ingredients. It was soon time to add the final ingredient.

The orchid.

Misty admired the beautiful flower and smiled.

"It really is pretty. Maybe me and Danny can use this kind of flower for our wedding...maybe even in my bouquet..."She said, as she fantasies her wedding with Danny.

However, the sound of a throat getting cleared got her attention.

"Sounds like a lovely idea, but let's focus on this now and concern ourselves about the future for later..."Her spell book said.

Misty gently plucked the flowers and placed them into the cauldron, one by one. Slowly, each petal was getting absorbed into the potion's brew and the green goo soon turned pink and glowing.

"Wow!..."Misty said, mesmerized by how the potion now had a much more pleasant atmosphere, appearance and smell to it now.

"Careful, don't touch it!..."The book warned, causing her to pause. "Both you and Danny need to be together in order for the potion to work and it cannot be touched by human hands until then!..."He explained.

"Right, sorry..."Misty said, refocusing her efforts on the potion itself.

She now had her potion, now all that was left was to free Danny and live happily ever after with him.

"Okay, time to get my man..."Misty said, determined, before blinking.

"Uh...so...how exactly do I get this to him?..."She asked, having not thought that far ahead.

"No worries, my dear. All we have to do is bring your beloved here and I will take care of the rest..."He said, surprising her.

"Wait, what?!..."Misty exclaimed as she was surprised to hear this.

"I just said to bring him here..."The book repeated, but the teen sorceress shook her head.

"Yeah, I got that... but why didn't you mention that like... oh I don't know... BEFORE I went to get that stupid flower?! It's not like he ever comes to my house on a daily basis!..."She yelled at him.

"I didn't mention it because I didn't think that it was that big of a deal..."The book said, acting innocent.

"That, and if I did you might refuse to search for the ingredients, thinking that the whole quest would have been pointless..."He thought, while Misty rolled her eyes.

"Oh, and how exactly am I suppose to just bring him here? I don't even have his phone number and even if I did, what am I suppose to say? "Hi Danny, what's up? Nice day, huh? Anyway, wanna come over to hang at my house, go to my basement to drink this glowing pink liquid so I can free you from the spell your stupid blonde witch princess of a girlfriend has you under without your knowledge?..."She asked sarcastically, before frowning.

"Even if he wasn't under her spell, no one would believe that and he'll probably think I'm up to something..."Misty said, still not seeing how her actions looked to others right now.

Still, her spell book was not discouraged.

"Don't worry. I have a plan..."The book said.

"What is it? Are we going to teleport him here? That's gonna be a heck of a way to convince him to trust me..."Misty asked sarcastically, knowing that wouldn't actually work.

"No... that's too risky. We will summon a ghost to cause trouble..."The book said, surprising his young protege.

"A ghost? Uh... why would that help? How would scaring him away with a ghost help me?..." Misty asked, clueless.

To her surprise, the voice of her book laughed lightly.

"Don't worry... let's just say he'll be more... spirited... than you think..."The book said in a vague way.

Misty raised a brow at his wording.

"What does that mean?..."She asked, confused.

"Nothing for you to worry about. Just trust me when I say that tonight will be the night that will certainly be one to remember. Danny will be yours as promised...all you have to do is listen to me..."The spell book said, wanting to have this plan to proceed quick.

"But...what do I do about my family?..."Misty asked.

"Mom, Laolao, Max and that show-off Martin are all home. There is no way I can do it tonight without them finding us..."She said, not seeing how this will work.

"Do not worry, my dear. I've already thought about that too. I will make sure that no one gets in our way. Just trust me..."The spell book said.

Misty still didn't seem so sure...but her eyes and body slowly glowed green as more thoughts about Danny came to her mind, and her desire to free him and start their life together grew even more.

The glow became brighter the more she thought about him, and her anger, hatred, envy and paranoia also increased when she thought of the real "witch" who was keeping him all to herself.

"There is no way that I am letting her keep him for another second. Danny doesn't deserve to be with someone like Star. He's destined to be with me, I saw it. I'm so close to making that future our reality, I know it..."She thought, a determined look on her face as the green in her eyes and around her body remained.

She turned to her spell book and nodded.

"Okay, tell me what to do..."She said with a serious tone.

The spell book was pleased to hear this.

"Wonderful. There is one spell that I believe is just what we need..."The book said in a serious tone as he continued to tell Misty what to do.

Misty nodded, as she listened to her spell book and began to prepare everything for the spell. Completely unaware of what tonight will truly bring when she crosses paths with her beloved again.

Oh boy.

REPLIES to my loyal and totally awesome reviewer:

RonaldM40196867:

1) Not exactly. More like black cats that some witches have in fiction.

2) It was the quickest way that her spell book could find a natural portal.

3) Sorry, no spoilers. I guess that we will have to wait and see what happens.

4) I thought it be fun to add them.

5) It was a while back, where he came to Amity Park to "look for friends".

Jebest4781: Thank you :)

Luiz4200: Thank you for spotting that typo.

Invader Johnny: I guess that we will have to wait and see what happens.

JDF Legacier Morphicon: Thank you :)

Here are my responses to your questions:

1) I liked how Jazz beat Spectra in "My Brother's Keeper".

2) Either New York or L.A. since those cities are cool.

3) I think it be cool that Sam would get training to be a warrior like her.

4) I think Clockwork would.

5) I am tied between his relationship with Black Cat and Katie.

:) I hope you enjoyed this! Remember to read and review :)
