The one universe that remained untouched by Inferno Goblin and the Infernal Six held a threat that could challenge even their infernal might.
This was the universe that housed the Watchers - ancient space gods who observed the multiverse in silence. Though normally non-interfering, the Watchers would act if any threat risked destroying all of creation.
As the Infernal Six laid waste to reality, the Watchers observed through countless eyes across time and space. They saw the sinister symbiotes corrupting champions, turning them into monsters.
When the remaining universes came under attack, the Watchers conferred and realized the Infernal Six posed an existential threat - one that had to be stopped at any cost.
For the first time in eons, the Watchers agreed to directly intervene. They began choosing champions across creation to fight fire with fire. These warriors would carry the symbiotes of the Watchers themselves - imbuing them with power that could match the infernal conquerors.
Thus began the Watchers' War - an epic struggle between the forces of darkness and the last hope of the multiverse. The Infernal Six had seemingly triumphed...but an enemy had arisen that cared not for noble sacrifice, only victory at any cost.
The inferno raged on, but a counterstroke was coming. Sleeper agents empowered by the Watchers stealthily gathered, awaiting the moment to strike. The outcome of the Watchers' War would decide the fate of all realities...
Chapter 1
The Fall
The infernal conquering continued, reality tearing at the seams. Inferno Goblin watched, pleased, as his dark cavalry laid waste to universe after universe.
Carnage Spider led the Infernal Six's assault, invading vulnerable worlds with hellfire venom. The champions rose up against them, but Ashen Warrior lashed them insane. Blazestreak torched their cities while Charred Cat hunted survivors for Carnage Claw to slay.
Inferno Knight watched, drunk on destruction. With a mere thought, she set aflame anything that dared attack them. No force could challenge their infernal might.
But unseen by Inferno Goblin, ancient Watchers across realities observed the symbiotes corrupting champions. They knew the infernal horde posed an existential threat that must be stopped, but no ordinary force could hope to match the Six's power.
So the Watchers chose sleeper agents across realities and imbued them with their own agents began to activate, possessing powers to match the Infernal Six.
The Watchers' warriors gathered on a hidden world, struggling to control their symbiotes. But unity of purpose began forming - they vowed to fight as Dawnbreakers, pushing back Inferno Goblin's inferno.

Chapter 2
Army of Dawn
The Watchers' chosen warriors continued activating across realities, drawn to the hidden world like moths to flame.
Many struggled to control their new symbiotes at first. Voices whispered in their minds, urging violence. Some gave in, attacking each other in vicious clashes that left others weary.
Yet through the chaos, a few champions emerged who could master their symbiotes' bloodlust. They rallied the divided warriors together, urging unity of purpose.
"Whatever power we now wield comes at a cost," said one. "We can let it consume us...or come together to push back Inferno Goblin's spreading ruin."
The warriors reflected on all they had seen the Infernal Six destroy. A sense of collective purpose began to rise among them - a will to stand as one army against the darkness.
They trained together, learning to fight as symbiote and host rather than two beings at war within. The warriors began to call themselves Dawnbreakers, an army risen to push back Inferno with Dawn.
The Dawnbreakers planned a coordinated surprise attack on the Infernal Six, hoping to catch them off guard. Each Dawnbreaker symbiote was assigned a counterpart among the infernal horde.
As the Infernal Six celebrated the fall of another world, the Dawnbreakers gathered - an army of dawn ready to push back the inferno, no matter the cost.
Their time had come. The Watchers' War was about to truly begin.

The Infernal Six, fueled by long rage, fought with ferocity born of destruction. They pushed the Dawnbreakers back, holding the line against the surging dawn.
The war between Inferno and Dawn now seemed poised for a long stalemate, reality torn between two extremes. Neither darkness nor light could overcome the other.

Until then, inferno met dawn...and creation burned.
