Disclaimer: I do NOT own the Chosen. Dallas Jenkins does and I am NOT making any money off of this. I only own my Original Characters: Hanna, Maya, and Faith. And none of the events with Hanna, Maya and Faith happened in the bible. Thank you and God Bless you!

AN: Yes I am giving Simon a sister. She is 21-years-old and will be a love interest for Gaius. I can see Gaius and his wife going downhill as sure as I am sitting here so. No judgment here! This is quickly turning into an AU FanFiction.

Two Days Ago

Faith had seen a miracle. She never thought that she would see one in her life. Her brother's mother-in-law had been sick for days on end and now this mysterious Rabbi who had called her brother to follow her just a few days ago healed her. She was grateful for him for changing her brother. Well as much as Simon could be changed that is. Her brother had been a troublemaker and to a degree still was.

Faith sighed as she walked out of her room just to a group of people standing next to the man she now knew as Jesus.

"Faith over here!" Eden called out as the younger girl walked over to the group of people standing in the kitchen.

"Jesus this is Faith" Simon said, smiling a bit. "She's my sister, who came to live with Eden and I years ago when our parents died."

"It's a pleasure to meet you Faith" Jesus said smiling. "I especially like you're name. It has a wonderful meaning. It may come in handy one day" he said winking at her a bit.

Just then Matthew and Maya came walking in the door, making Simon glare at them a little, but Faith gave him a stern look and hugged Maya happily. "Maya!"

The two had been close for forever. Faith had been like an older sister for Maya and was one of the only ones who didn't look down on her because of her father. They were a couple years apart, but they were still close.

"Faith it's been forever!" Maya said happily, pulling back now as Matthew looked at her curiously.

"You know her?" he asked curiously.

"Yes Matthew I do! I have friends that I haven't told you about."

She may not have kept secrets from Matthew anymore, but she still didn't tell him everything.

"How is Hanna?" Faith asked curiously. "I have heard what happened, but I haven't seen her around."

Maya smiled now. "She's fine, I just haven't seen her as much since she practically is living a whole new life."

"I'll say" Matthew said, earning a warning look from Maya as Jesus wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"Matthew it is important to love you're sister even though she may have made some decisions that you do not agree with" Jesus said now as he kissed Maya's head.

Matthew sighed and shook his head. "I just find it hard to forgive her for leaving."

"Matthew please try" Maya said softly "Just because she got adopted doesn't mean she loves you any less. Look at me! I was adopted. I love you and I still haven't left."

"She's right Matthew" Jesus said softly, hugging Maya to his chest. "You don't see me forbidding Maya to see you do you? I wouldn't have even asked you to follow me if I didn't think you were a good man."

Matthew considered this for a moment as he looked at Maya and her father. The two laughing and acting just like a father and daughter should. Maya deserved this. She deserved to have what she had always wanted since she was ten. He smiled as Jesus spun Maya around as she held onto him tightly, making her and everyone around him laugh.

Gaius had been like this for Hanna as well. Ever since she had been sixteen. He remembered her last two birthdays and how much time Gaius spent with her on those days. How he always protected her and watched out for her when she was sick and even when she was perfectly alright. Gaius gave her more hugs and kisses than their parents had given them. Matthew knew he was being selfish now as he sighed and ran a hand through his hair. Maya's voice cut through his thoughts now as he looked up to watch her give Faith a letter.

"Faith I was wondering if you could do a favor for me" she said, handing a letter to her. "This is for Hanna. I won't have a chance to see her before we head out of town, will you give it to her for me?"

"Yes of course!" Faith said with a smile. "How should I find her?"

"You'll find her dad in most places in town. His rank is pretty high now so you'll be able to spot him immediately. His name is Gaius. He won't hurt you I promise."

Simon raised an eyebrow now. "Maya...why are you asking this of her."

"Because she knows Hanna as well and loves her. Maybe more than I do."

Simon sighed and shook his head. "Another thing I didn't realize" he said with a defeated sigh.

"I'll get it to him" Faith said with a smile as she placed the letter in her pocket, looking over at her brother reassuringly.

Matthew pulled Maya aside now and took her face in his hands. "I am sorry. I have been very selfish about Hanna and I am so sorry Maya. I hope you will forgive me."

Maya kissed him gently, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Of course I forgive you. I love you Matthew."

"I love you too" he murmured against her lips gently as he cradled her face in his hands, gazing down at her. He would make things right with Hanna in time.

Present Day

Faith walked through the streets now on the way to look for Gaius. She had no idea what he looked like, but Matthew said that he would have a black shepherd with him today. It was a vague answer if ever she heard of one. She looked around for a few moments once she got to the district that he was normally in, streets empty. She then went to Hanna's old house out of instinct and there she found a soldier with a black dog talking to Hanna's old parents.

She stood a few feet away listening to every word they were saying.

"Look you're son is a target. Bad people want to hurt him and I urge you to take his dog at his wishes."

The voice was quiet yet strong and Faith felt a shiver go through her spine. It was calming yet commanding at the same time and for some reason she found that attractive.

Matthew's father shook his head and pulled his wife back into the house, closing the door. Gaius sighed and turned around only to come face to face with a young woman, holding what looked like a letter in her hand.

"You must be Gaius" she said softly, looking at his face for the first time.

He was older, bald, but he was also handsome with muscles and an intriguing face. "Whoa Faith. Did you just call a Roman handsome?" she thought to herself as she bravely gazed into his eyes.

"Yes. I am" he said looking her over for a minute.

She was a rare beauty. Almost red hair and warm brown eyes. It almost made him forget about the constant fights he was having with his wife at home. The marriage wouldn't last long now, but all he cared about was keeping the kids out of it. The boys mostly. But also Hanna, who he knew had Quintus. But there was a difference between the boys and Hanna. Livia had custody of the boys and he had full custody of Hanna until she was married. He never needed to worry about her life changing that much. She was a daddy's girl through and through.

"How can I help you?" he asked now, finally able to speak.

"My name is Faith. I'm a friend of Hanna's and Maya asked me to give this letter to you for her."

Gaius relaxed a little now as he gently took the letter from Faith's hands, their hands touching slightly, sending electric sparks through them both. Faith was shocked. Was this the man God had for her? He was a Roman. How could that even be possible?

"Thank you Faith" he said softly, smiling down at her.

He was being nice to her. No Roman had ever been nice to her. This was a day of firsts definitely.

"You're welcome!"

He smiled down at her now, not even knowing how this was even happening. "Uh would you like to take a walk?" he asked. He didn't want to go home yet and this girl intrigued him.

"I would like that" Faith said with a smile as they started walking down the streets. People were whispering and watching but neither of them cared at this point. They were too wrapped up in eachother.

"So how come I've never seen you before" Gaius asked as they walked along now.

"I keep busy with my sister-in-law Eden" she explained as she pushed some of her hair out of her face.

"I'll probably be free alot more though since my brother is traveling now."

"Really. Where is he headed?"

"We're not sure." Faith looked over at Gaius. "He's following Jesus of Nazareth."

Gaius stopped in his tracks and took her shoulders gently. "Faith if you have any information about this man, you must tell me. He could be dangerous."

He didn't know why he felt so protective over this girl, but he felt like she was different.

"Gaius he's absolutely harmless. I tell you the truth." she said, gazing into his eyes.

A confused look came about the older man's face as he looked down at her. "You mean he hasn't hurt you or you're family?"

Faith shook her head and looked down at his large hands that were still on her shoulders.

"I swear Gaius, he is no threat."

He looked into her eyes for a few minutes more before carefully removing his hands from her shoulders. An instant chill went over Faith as she wrapped her arms around herself, suddenly feeling cold.

"If you have any information that could be dangerous or if he hurts you, I want to know immediately. You come and find me personally. These other officers could hurt a girl they don't know."

Faith nodded. "I swear I will tell you."

Gaius smiled softly once more and backed up a little. "I have to go, but you be safe Faith."

"Shalom, Shalom Gaius" she said softly.

"Why do you say it twice?" he asked curiously.

"Once means peace and twice means perfect peace."

He smiled at her softly. "I'll see you around Faith" he said before walking off, leaving her with butterflies in her stomach.
