Chika had called the ambulance as instructed by Yuri; there were even blood spilled in some spots but what each staff member except Yuri didn't expect was the sudden arrival of the police.

They questioned everyone in the café; the why and the what. Although, eventually they left and they were glad no one was hurt. Jesidril announced to get the customers to go home and come back a week later.

Fortunately, the customers seemed to understand and most didn't even bother getting their refunds. Synverta sure was a dream place to many.

You sighed in relief as she slumped down on her chair, "Finally, that was over."

"We have to clean all these up and buy new cups." Dia added.

"I'm more curious as to why they were targeting Nozomi-chan. She didn't do anything wrong." Chika frowned at the thought and that poked the rest.

"Chika-chan's right. They could have gone to anyone else but…" Ruby paused, not knowing what to say at this point.

Dia looked over at Jesidril who was sipping her cup of coffee, "Do you know any gang-related news recently?"

"Hmm," Jesidril gave herself a moment to ponder then came with a memory, "Huh, I guess I do."

That drew the rest of the staff closer to her, "Spill!"

"Recently, those pipsqueaks were talking about this new 'Get Rich Quick!' money scheme where they would post tons of videos to this website in the Dark Web. Too hilarious to say that they never learned." Jesidril said.

"And it wasn't because gangsters were targeting Nozomi because they had something against her but it was because of the nature of this website. I believe Nozomi was just put into the wrong place at the wrong time." Yuri chimed in as she approached the group after she was done escorting the police force.

Eli flinched back, "You're still here?!"

"Remember that I'm only here because I need to get you back into the studio or else, Umi will be after me as well. Actually, I believe she will be on her way here if we won't head back in a few hours."

"Uh-huh, I think that will be far worse for you, Eli-chan." Chika added.

"Ahh…" Eli gulped.

Nozomi giggled, "I think you should go back with Yuri-san and then meet up with us later."

"Are you sure? I mean, I don't really mind– I mean, I'm just worried about you." The blonde frowned as she looked back at the photographer.

"Well, you're pretty lucky you weren't seriously injured; from what I heard, those gangsters are dangerous. They rule the slums apparently." Jesidril told Eli who immediately shivered upon the memory.

And here, she actually butted heads with the leader with no consideration to her safety. She didn't regret it, though. If it was to protect Nozomi, Eli would even tank bullets and knife stabs.

"Though," Jesidril continued with a proud grin, "I gotta hand it to you, that was brave. You did whatever you gotta do."

Eli's ears perked up at the praise and her eyes glimmered, "Th-Thank you." Then turned towards Yuri with a smile, "Let's go."

"I'll leave the explanation to you, Jesi, be sure to have your staff aware of what's happening. I'll handle Umi with Eli." Yuri said and Jesidril instantly gave her the look of disbelief.

"I gotta stop you for a moment there, I don't know anything that's going on from your side of the story. I only heard some rumors about the scheme but never really got into the depth of it."

"Then, it looks like you will be putting your journalism skills to good use again." Yuri smiled.

"Hold on–"

"You were a journalist?!" You asked Jesidril.

"Whoaaa! You gotta tell us your stories!" Chika's eyes sparkled in excitement.

"Now, hold on a minute, how did this become one of my problems?" Jesidril glared at the tall woman.

"'You mess with one of us, you will mess with all of us.' Is that what the sign says from your staff room?" Yuri said.

"I–"

"That settles it then. I'll wire the money to you later." Yuri then looked at Jesidril's staff members and gave them a little gift, "You can start by asking her how she solved the Red Whale Case."

"This asshole–"

"Oh, I know about that case! It was all over the country, Kanan was even sentimental about it." Dia mentioned.

"The reporters didn't really say who solved the case; I never expected that would be you, Jesi-chan!" Ruby gleefully added.

"Then," Yuri bowed politely, "We will take our leave." She stood back up and led the way outside with Eli lightly following while she waved at everyone else.

"I'll be back, everyone!" The blonde said.

"Don't be late!" Chika replied.

"I won't!"

And with the duo gone, the rest of the staff scooted closer to Jesidril with great anticipation. It wasn't everyday they'd get to learn something new about their boss after all.

"You got to tell us everything." Chika said, "Like… EVERYTHING."

"Wait, Chika-chan, that will take us weeks to cover everything!" Ruby said.

"For now, let's start with the Red Whale Case." Dia said.

Nozomi giggled, "I guess you won't be able to escape, Jesi-chan."

Jesidril sighed, "Guess not."

And they spent the next couple of hours listening to Jesidril's ventures around the case; on how she started it and how she drove into conclusions up to its solution. Hearing everything there was, it made everyone gain a new level of respect to the former journalist. As well as feelings they never thought would appear.

"W-Wow, I never knew it happened that way." Chika's face fell as she imagined those scenes.

"I knew that there would be people like that but… I never knew they could be the worst." You frowned.

Dia sighed, "The selfishness of certain people."

"All that in exchange for a life." Ruby was the most affected out of everyone.

Jesidril nodded, "And as you may have heard from the news, while the case was already solved, there were still bits of information left to be discovered. However, Yuri told me that my job was done and that they would take it from there."

"That made me wonder, isn't the Global Prominence supposed to do the investigations in the first place? Why would they rely on you?" Nozomi asked with a hum.

"Because there was an even bigger case that was connected to the Red Whale Case. Synverta's FIST only has five people at the moment so their hands are always completely full."

"Talk about being understaffed. I'm pretty sure they eat pressure for breakfast." You said.

"I'm curious, though, why would Yuri even want to include me in the gang case investigation? It wasn't just because of our motto." Jesidril hummed.

"I also found it strange. It would have been different if I was specifically and constantly targeted but we did hear from Yuri-san that I was just caught up in it." Nozomi added.

"Hoh! There it is! The Jesi Mode!" You blurted out happily.

"Uwaa! This side of Jesi-chan is really cool! I want to be in this, too!" Chika said and Dia chuckled in amusement.

"Hey!" Jesidril blushed in embarrassment as she shot daggers at You.

"We are basically putting ourselves in danger here, you know." Dia said.

Ruby giggled, "But, don't you think Yuri-san was right as well? If someone messes with one of us then they will mess with all of us."

Jesidril sighed, there was no convincing these women the other way, huh.

Nozomi was even flattered that she giggled, "Thank you, everyone. But, I believe we already know one person who wouldn't let anything happen to me the most."

"Who?" Chika was dumbfounded for a moment there until she realized, "Oh. Of course."

You grinned, "Reckless but… She doesn't really care what kind of danger that will be."

Dia scoffed and turned to Nozomi, "Are you finally giving her a chance?"

Nozomi hummed, "Hmm… Mayybeee?~ but," She couldn't help but smile, "With how she stood up for me, I believe I should at least repay her kindness, noh?"

Ruby chuckled nervously, "You're right. I mean, you guys just met recently after all."

"I'm pretty sure, we will get to see more of whatever Eli has in store just to get along with her." Jesidril added.

And while they had busied themselves chattering and soothing down the tensions that those gangsters brought, Eli was being chased down by the furious Umi, who was grabbing anything she would see and throwing them to the blonde who would frantically dodge each one of them.

Yuri was watching from the sidelines while three women with grayish hair – Kotori, Keke and Kasumi – were trying their hardest to calm down their manager with terrified hand flails and faces.

"Ow! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" They could hear Eli screaming followed by breaking of glasswares and props.

"Ugh! You're one… cretinous… reckless… blonde… model!" and Umi would throw a prop in each word she said.

"U-Umi-chan! C-C-Calm down! Eli-chan's safe, right?!" Kotori said.

"R-Right! A-And she was brought back by Yuri-san!" Keke added.

"Oi, Yuri-saan! Break them off!" Kasumi told Yuri who looked away with her eyes closed – a silent message that she didn't want to involve herself into this.

"The last time I did, my arm broke." Yuri answered.

"You're a goddamn tank! How on earth could Umi even break your arm!?"

"I don't know either. But, she can."

And the woman with short, black hair and neon blue eyes could only chuckle nervously as she watched this chaos:

"I'm pretty sure Umi was just worried." The woman said.

"Silence, Chihiro! Get back here! Eli!" Chihiro could hear Umi shouting away.

"U-Umi-chan–" Kotori was interrupted by the sudden loud shout from Eli; Umi finally caught her and was now pinning her on the floor with a hand pulling the blonde's arm back and the other hand firmly pressed against her back to keep her still.

"Ow! OW! I'm sorry! I'll think better next time!" Eli could only plead as her way to escape and free herself.

"You should have thought better in the first place then!" Umi replied and only furthered her pull while slowly moving the blonde's arm towards her back with the intent of dislocating it.

"I-I will! I'm sorry! A woman was harassed and I had to step in!"

"You told me that but at least think of a way to save her without putting yourself in danger! How… on… earth… are you going to save someone if you got caught in something!?" Umi's grip tightened and Eli could sharply feel her arm slowly breaking.

"OW! WAIT–!"

Crack.
