"Are you sure about your plan?"

"It's something nobody ever tried. But then again, so was using magic to help us have a daughter."

Hotaru sighed. "Fair enough. And in this case, you are a truly unique case, as far as we know."

"So, having fun with... Me?"

Hotaru blushed slightly. "Yes. You were really a spoiled Princess."

"... I guess. Looking at ir from the sidelines, I really looked like I enjoyed this era."

"But you... Well, she is not quite as happy as she pretends to be."

"I knew you would notice. Now you see why I want to-"

"Won't she be happier if we send her back?"

"With a lie? Have everyone play pretend and wreck those Hunter assholes when she's gone? That is not what happened."

"How are you so sure? You were a kid-"

"Hotaru, in a way, I can see the future better than Pluto can, right now, because I'm seeing her memories. And that is exactly why I know it will work."

"But what about... After we win? What about you?"

"I'll still be around."

"You can't be sure about that."

"Thar's true. And for the first time in a damn millenia I am so damn happy of not being sure!"

Kyouko had appeared near the two, and realized things were bad. "... Hi. I take it you two are... Calmly talking about the Princess."

"Freaking... Can't even get my own daughter to stop calling the other me that..."

"Mom, I won't say I understand how you feel. Nobody could honestly say that. But you two... I can count the times I've seen you argue this badly with the fingers in one hand. "

"I just don't want to lose her."

Usagi sighed and hugged Hotaru. "And you won't. I'm asking you to trust me on this. I know I've got an ego, I can see it from the outside these days. But this isn't the ego talking."

Hotaru sighed. "I... Fine. Go along with that crazy plan."

"Will do."

Kyouko smiled. "Anyways, I'm here to tell you we decided one more princess was a good idea."

Hotaru looked at Kyouko's stomach. "Oh. Congratulations."

Usagi smiled. "Now I can return Tsuki the favor."

"Don't nag her much, 'dad,'" Kyouko muttered.

"So, have you told Junko?"

"Yes, and she was happy."

Hotaru noticed Kyouko's mood change. "You weren't sure she would be?"

"I was a bit scares she would think we just want to- That we're trying again, because she 'failed' us."

"Are you?"

"No. I guess... Seeing grandma and this era's 'you' made me a bit nostalgic. I want to be a 'mom' again, even if it only lasts for a short time."

Usagi sighed. "I know what you mean."

"Anyhow, I need to start preparing for a short break from work. See you soon, moms."

Usagi stared at the spot Kyouko had been for a few seconds. "Oh. Right. 'Miss Nanashi' was expecting a baby, back when I- Ugh."

Hotaru was worried by that reaction. "Something wrong?"

"It's just getting harder to tell which memories are from my future, and which are ones I'm getting from the 'other me.'"

"Having one set of memories can already be messy. I don't envy you at all."

"Good morning."

Hotaru smiled as she turned around. This was it. The day her beloved Chibi (one version of her at least,) had at times hated, at times dreaded, at times hoped to change. "Good afternoon, you mean?"

"Same difference," the Princess said, smiling.

Usagi could sense their ship as it approached. The Senshi Hunters. Those assholes, she could easily go and-

No, she had to calm down. Yes, she had hated them back then, but two of them had shown her they could change. It was time to put her plan in motion.

It would be too easy for them to kill these goons. More pointless deaths. No, no more of those. Not if she could help it. Perhaps the others could not be saved, but those two... She had to try.

"Here they come!" Venus said. Time to- Wait, was that Younger Moon? "What the heck?"

Moon noticed her friends, not counting a few who knew, were confused. "Nobody has to die."

"Who the hell are you?" ChibiMoon asked. "No wait, you are... Me."

"Just let me talk to the 'bad guys.'" She turned to see Rex staring at her. "Oh right, you losers can sense magic. I thought one tenth of my power wouldn't scare you."

"One tenth? You bluff."

"Let me see if I remember your lines. You are Rex, your group is called the Senshi Hunters, and you're here to eliminate every Senshi of this system. Non-Senshi won't be a target, blah blah blah... Sorry I kind of droned off back then after that."

Rex had heard the woman, but his mind was also registering something else. As she spoke, her power had risen. She was not bluffing. "A Senshi this strong? That's impossible!"

"Nothing is impossible for us. I see you're not attacking, so you are at least aware of how fucking pointless it would be to try."

Saturn looked at ChibiMoon. "I... I'm sorry we kept this a secret."

"She was who you waited for."

"... And she is you."

Rex growled at the woman. "You monster, why even bother talking? Just kill us. It's what Senshi-"

"Oh shut up!" Moon shouted. "I know your pity tale, we all do. Well, most of us. A power-thirsty Senshi blew up your world, so you just decided we're all evil and you go around killing Senshi without even asking first. Such a paragon of goodness, you are."

Lynx was looking at ChibiMoon. "That kid looks like-"

"She's no kid, she's a warrior. But yes she is me, a versiom of me who still hasn't gone through the hell your group put me through."

"Hell? What do you mean?"

Moon looked at ChibiMoon. "I was getting used to this era. I was in love. I thought things couldn't go wrong. But then a group of assholes showed up, killed everyone I cared about, forced me to run back to the past, and then decided letting me escape was no good, so they went back in time to finish the job. I was forced to fight to make sure they didn't kill everyone again."

Rex frowned. "So what? You expect us to leave?"

Serenity decided that was a good time to drop her own cloaking. "You will continue killing Senshi."

Lion frowned. These Senshi were not attacking. Why? Weren't all the Senshi evil?

Moon sighed. "I really pity you, Rex, and your group. You just go around killing Senshi because your local ones were assholes. You leave worlds defenseless for no good reason, give Senshi no chance to prove you wrong. But that ends today, either way. I already know what you will say to this, but your fellow hunters... I know of two, in the past, who saw they were wrong. That not every Senshi is evil. Those two showed me not all Senshi Hunters are hopeless blood knights. I just hope they can see it here, too."

Lion walked forwards, and Hyena followed a second later. "What happens once you run out of things to fight?"

"Rex asked us that in the past, and now we have the answer. The city you see near us? It has been there for a thousand years. It's our city. We ran out of 'worthy opponents' pretty much the day that city was built. And we've trained in case we did face something powerful, yes, but we... I don't know about those Senshi of your world, never met them. But these people you see here? I trust them. We all care for each other. Maybe your Senshi cared more about power than anything else... We've met at least one Senshi like that."

"So you've been around, unchallenged, for a thousand years?"

Moon looked at ChibiMoon. "I am that girl, but with a thousand more years of experience living in that dull, boring city I've called home since the day I was born. And I hated you all, for a while. But I know not all of you are hopeless."

"We will not let Senshi win!" Rex shouted as he charged at Moon. However, the fist he swung at her, charged with as much energy as he could manage, was stopped in an almost casual way. She didn't even bother turning to look at him. "What are you waiting for? You know I won't change my mind, scum. Kill me, prove me right!"

Moon smiled sadly. "I used to dream of this scenario. You, powerless, and me, being able to kill you in any way I wanted. But see, here's the thing. I am not like you. I do not enjoy killing. I hate it."

"Lies, you're a murderer. All Senshi are. You kill millions just to-"

"See, if I was a murderer, I would make sure I enjoyed your death, a death I've been waiting to see, again, for a thousand years. Can you even imagine waiting that long? But no. I will not enjoy this. I'll just end it quickly so I can move on. Goodbye, Rex. Your hunt is over."

Serenity was aware of how strong her daughter was, but it was still a bit unsettling to see her so coldly, so casually kill Rex. He was turned to dust by magic so fast, he probably didn't have time to know it was happening. But Serenity could read people easily, so she knew her daughter had not lied. She had not enjoyed that.

Moon stood up and looked at the rest of the Hunters. They were all quite shocked, even the two who had been ready to leave the group. "I am sorry for your loss."

Vulture glared at her. "What the hell do you-" No, that woman looked actually sorrowful. Just... Just like...

Boa beat him to the words. "You... You look like us back when we started. When we still let guilt get to us."

Jaguar looked at the Senshi. None seemed ready to attack. "So... If we stop hunting your kin. What do we do now?"

Moon smiled at him, a warm smile. "First off, thanks for not acting like I thought you would, die pointlessly trying to avenge your leader."

Vulture sighed. "He may have been wrong about this hunt, but I know he would not want us to die for naught."

"That's a good quality in a leader," Moon admitted. "What now? I don't know. In the past, in my version of this, most of you died. Lion and Hyena were the 'traitors,' and they decided to... Find those worlds they had left defenseless, and help however they could."

Lion nodded. "That sounds like a good goal. So, Hunters, shall we go?"

Moon looked at him. "If you find any world where a Senshi is actually being evil, you can deal with them."

"Hopefully we won't find any. Goodbye, Senshi of the Earth."

Saturn chuckled as the Hunters left. "They are actually not that bad when not hunting us."

"They were scared shitless," Moon said.

"That, too."

ChibiMoon looked around. "So... You were always around."

Moon nodded. "Yeah."

"But if you changed the future, how are you still-"

"Time is a lot more malleable than I thought- than you think. Pluto can see a lot of possible futures, but a theory Ami had was, all those other 'possible' futurea also happen, just not to in this reality."

"So you changed these events so that you- I don't jsve to go through all thar again. And yet you did have to live through-"

Moon smiled. "This part was bad for me, but afterwards? I got to spend a thousand years with a very gorgeous girl."

ChibiMoon looked at Saturn, then blushed. "Oh... Wish I could see that- I mean, what you went through sounds bad, but-"

And here's the hard part, Moon thought. "You are me, so you know I hate to sugar-coat bad news as much as I hate it when others do that to me. So screw it, not doing that to myself. We both can't be around."

ChibiMoon took a step back. "What-"

Moon could understand her reaction. "Chill, I'm not saying one of us has to die. We just need to stop being... Well, 'we.'

Mercury let out some words she had few times uttered., surprising almost all of her friends. "Sorry about that," she said rapidly, "but... This was your plan, Usagi? How are you going to-"

"With Gin's help, of course."

ChibiMoon frowned. "Who is Gin?"

The silver-haired woman appeared next to her. "That is me. I would say 'nice to meet you,' but I've known you since you were born. Both versions of you."

ChibiMoon looked at Gin, then at Moon, then at Serenity, then at Gin again. "No fucking way. The Ginzuishou?"

"Yes, that's me. I am all Ginzuishou that ever existed."

"Uh... Cool."

"So me and... Older me will... Fuse? And you'll help?"

"If you want to. I can not go against a Serenity's will."

"Cool... I mean- If we don't fuse, will that be dangerous to the timelines?"

Moon smiled. "Honestly, I don't know. And you are the one person that may know this, but I'm so damn glad I don't know."

"Knowing things about the future I had to keep secret was bad. Having to live through- Wait, the Dark Moon-?"

"You saw the aftermath. A peaceful resolution... Because I was around, this time around. Things were a bit messier in my version of this era."

"But I could just keep being me, and you-" ChibiMoon looked at Hotaru. "But Hotaru... Has been with you your whole life. I-"

"I still love you, you know?"

"... Me too. I want those memories, the ones she has," she pointed at Moon. "And also, this is so weird. Two of me around, how did you manage?"

"We've lived through a lot of weird," Moon commented. "Anyhow, here's the deal: The Ginzuishou can fuse two identical souls. It's not a thing that was ever needed, but whoever built Gin apparently didn't believe in impossibles."

"What will happen to us?"

"Nothing, and yet a lot. We will be one single soul, but our memories will remain. You will be able to have those memories to feel as they felt if you had been there, because you... I lived them."

Pluto walked to them. "If I knew this put either of you at risk, I would not let you do it."

ChibiMoon looked at Moon. "Could you? With all due respect, Puu, older me looks like she could give you a beating."

Moon sighed. "Yes, but I've also learnt to listen, and respect those older and wiser than me."

ChibiMoon looked at her, then at Pluto. "Uh, sorry?"

Pluto smiled. "I just hope Gin knows what she's doing."

Gin sighed at that. "The process may be painful, but once it starts, I cannot stop until it is done. Which is why... We should do this in a less crowded area. I mean, from the outside, all you'll see is light and some screaming."

Younger Mars sighed. "If Usagi says she'll be fine, I trust her."

Younger Venus smiled at her. "Yeah. I mean, she's Sailor Moon. Something like this won't be a problem for her."

Gin saw most of the Senshi nodding in agreement. "Of course, some would want to be there even if I said no."

"No shit," Saturn muttered.

Gin smiled as the 'crowd' scattered. She had not been joking, a distraction - to either her or the two being fused - could be fatal in ways no magic could fix. And the more Senshi around, the more silly they could get, even if they were centuries old.

Still, Serenity and Endymion stayed, as did Hotaru and Pluto. But Gin smiled as she 'heard' something else. "We have some people who want to be here."

Before ChibiMoon could ask, two women appeared. Both were old, but she recognized one of them. "Miss Nanashi?"

"Sorry I kept this a secret," the woman said. "My real name is Kyouko Tsukino, daughter of both you and Hotaru. And this is my daughter, Junko."

ChibiMoon stared blankly at them. "... I have a daughter? Shit, now I know how mom felt."

Serenity chuckled at that. "Guess you do. Are you ready?"

ChibiMoon looked at Moon. "As ready as I am scared. But I won't let fear win. I am Sailor Moon, after all."

Moon smiled at her. "Yes, we are."

Gin nodded. "Tell me when."

The two pink-haired Senshi looked at each other, and both said it at the same time. "Now!"

It took seconds, but to those seeing it, it looked like hours, and to the two being fused, it felt like an eternity. Usagi could not remember feeling this much pain, it was not physical, but in their- in her mind. They could not help but scream. She screamed.

Those watching saw the two bodies light up, then heard the screams, two impossibly similar voices which blurred together rapidly. As the light died, they noticed only one 'Chibiusa' there. The older one.

"Chibi?" Saturn asked.

Moon smiled "Still here. We... I am. This feels... Weird. I remember all of it. Both sets of memories. I can even tell you now that some details were different than I... Than you may remember."

"How so?" Serenity asked.

Moon was still looking at Hotaru. "Remember the Witches? That day they attacked us and you took the hit for me?"

Saturn smiled. "Yes. We had been about to have our first kiss. And then I got hijacked by that Mistress Nine monster."

"See, I remember that, but also... I remember what the 'me' born in this era lived. In my... 'Her' version, we kissed, and then the Witches attacked."

Pluto looked at Serenity. "I noticed those changes. They may be a consequence of what you did, or how reality was different in this era than she remembered, whether she was aware of it or not."

Moon nodded. "That's my guess too. I am... Both of the 'me' I was minutes ago. 'We' are still here, just as one person."

"But there is a difference, isn't there? What happens next?" Saturn asked.

Moon smiled. Her wife knew her well. "I don't know, and I'm damn glad I don't."

A/N: I will not apologize for that title.

This episode was a mess to write. I loved writing it. Finally getting this twist out in the open. A twist I first thought about while re-reading Cyber Moon, manu years ago. A way to break the time loops, or at least one of them.

I know, I know, having two ChibiMoon around would be fun, because "hilarity ensues." It would also be a pain to write, because "hilarity ensues."
