Hi! So sorry it's been so long since I posted on this story. I've been super busy with homework and school plus my piano recital and drama performance is coming up so I've had to go to a bunch of rehearsals to prepare. You know how that is :/ But here I am now :) I probably won't be posting very much this week because of the show and all that stuff but . . . Here's a fresh chapter.
And also, I just posted a new story "Rangers and Campers." I would super duper appreciate it if y'all would read it. It's a Power Rangers: Dino Fury and Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous crossover.
Welp, enjoy chapter 7!
Zane fathomed down the deep sea depths of the vast ocean. Since nindroids don't need oxygen, Zane just kept on swimming.
After covering about a hundred yards of water or so, Zane surfaced and browsed the scenery around him. Just more clouds.
The white ninja dived in again and swam for another hundred meters and then came up. This time, he could see a blurry, dark outline of a mountain?
The nindroid paddled through the rough water and came a bit closer to what he thought he was seeing.
Yes, Zane was seeing mountains.
Relieved, the white ninja plummeted back in and enjoyed the refreshing scene for a moment. Riding on the back of a whale and actually swimming by the most gorgeous coral reef he'd ever seen. The underwater creatures and plants were bursting with color. The coral actually looked like it was waving 'hello.'
Zane twirled around in the perfect ocean for a bit before coming to his senses and surfacing once more.
There it was. An island with the greenest plants and highest mountains staring right at him.
Zane squealed and dipped back in. He turned in the direction of his friends and started making his way back. They're going to be excited to hear this news.
The nindroid now worried when he couldn't find the drifting plane parts floating around. Zane had been swimming for almost two hundred meters but couldn't see the brightly colored gi's of his friends.
He turned around in circles until minutes later, Zane was able to spot the faint hue of Kai's flaming uniform.
The white ninja took brisk swimming strokes to make it to his friends before the sun set completely,–and before Pixel worried.
Zane heaved himself onto a drifting plane part.
Almost all of his friends were conscious except for Nya and Harumi.
"Oh, hey, Zane." Cole noticed his friend exhaustingly sprawled across the piece of material for which he was lying on.
"Hey, Cole." The tired nindroid responded.
"Find anything?" The black ninja questioned, hopefully.
"Ya, actually. I did." Zane turned his body toward his friend and made full eye contact.
"What? What did you find?" Cole now leaned in, his eyes filled with longing.
"I found something that will excite you." Zane cryptically replied.
"Tell us, Zane. What did you find?" Kai turned his attention to the conversation, still stroking Nya's hair.
"I would like to tell the whole group at the same time," Zane started. "But Harumi and Nya are still asleep."
"We can wake them." Kai simply replied.
"Hm. I think we should let them rest." The white ninja advised.
"Nya and Harumi will be fine. Just wake them." Jay added.
"We should all be quiet and–" Zane was cut off by a coarse wave.
The ninjas took a moment to recover and turned back to the nindroid when they witnessed Nya's beautiful ocean eyes flutter open.
"Nya!" Jay threw himself into the water ninja's arms.
"So . . . Zane? I believe you have something to tell us?" Nya inquired.
"How'd you know?" Kai put in.
"Were you awake this entire time?" Jay shouted.
Nya smirked. "Not the entire time but long enough to know that you have something to tell us." The gray ninja gestured to the ice master.
"We have to wait for Harumi to wake up." Zane simply implied.
"She's already awake." Nya pointed to her friend without even looking.
"What?" Harumi slowly sat up as her senses kicked back in. "What happened?"
"Our plane crashed in the middle of the ocean." Lloyd answered.
"Really?" Harumi steadily opened her eyes to their full extent. "The middle?"
Everyone nodded except Zane.
"Actually, not the middle exactly." The ice ninja started. "I was going to tell you guys that there's an island about four hundred yards that way." Zane pointed.
"Really?!" The lightning master resisted the urge to jump up.
"Ya," the ice master continued. "You just can't see it because of the clouds and fog.
"When can we start swimming?" Lloyd eagerly asked.
"Some of us are still pretty banged up from the crash. Let's give it a few hours. Maybe until the waves and clouds clear up so we know precisely where we're going." Zane put in.
"Okay," the ninja slumped back and rested for a while until the weather conditions cleared up.
Zane decided to take a quick scan of the island they were going to swim toward. He zoomed in on the piece of land. There was a beach, nice and sandy. The ice ninja spotted some rustling in the bushes. He hastily turned his attention to the area of movement. But there was nothing.
Zane was exiting his zoom function when at the very last moment, he spotted a white shoe step out of the bushes. But Zane had already exited the scan so he couldn't further exam the mysterious shoe.
Wasn't that a foot? Zane pondered. A human foot?
Hold up. Are there humans already living on this island?
Zane brushed away the sort of terrifying thought, but couldn't help thinking of what they might be in for.
Hey guys! That was chapter 7. I hope y'all enjoyed it. Please review your thoughts and thanks for reading!
