Hiiiii. It's been TOO LONG since I posted on my stories. Soooooooooo sorry for the delay. I've had things to do and I also just haven't felt the motivation for writing lately. Again I apologize for the wait, but I hope I can get back on track and hopefully publish a couple chapters a week. If I don't post chapters for certain weeks, it'll just be because I haven't written it yet and I'll get to it soon.

Butttt, summer break is right around the corner, so hopefully I'll have plenty of time to write!

Also, I want to give a big shout out and a thanks to Abyssdancer for favoriting this story! I appreciate your support.

Also, there was a comment in the reviews section. I think what they were trying to say was that since Ninjago is lego and Camp Cretaceous is 3D animated, we don't really know how to imagine the crossover because they're crossing over with two different kinds of animation, if that makes any sense.

Let us know in the reviews if you thought about this different animation crossover idea, because I definitely did.

But, I've done a lot of talking. Sooooo, here's chapter 8! Enjoy:)

(I'm doing the ninjas' views for the beginning of this chapter, but I'm switching to the campers' views sometime in this segment of the story. I'll be switching views throughout this chapter).

After a few hours of shut-eye, the ninjas awoke and found themselves drifting calmly on the same familiar plane part.

"The water seems to be calm now. Should we try swimming?" Zane queried, testing the temperature of the ocean.

"Can it wait a few minutes, Zane? My muscles are so sore from lying down all those hours," Nya winced, rubbing her back as best she could.

"Okay. Let's take twenty minutes so we can stretch out our muscles, then we'll start our journey. The swim isn't far, but we want to be on the island before dark," Zane put in again.

Jay stretched out his arms and hopped onto a nearby piece of debris.

"Jay, what are you doing?" Cole questioned the lightning ninja.

"I thought I might be able to stretch my muscles further with more room," the blue ninja started, "Plus I might do some dives or flips to get a feeling of the water before we go on our swim."

Without hesitation, Cole stood up and joined Jay on the lone plane part.

The two friends did some dives and flips into the vast blue ocean until the sun began to drop beneath the horizon line.

"Oki doki. I think it's time to head out," Lloyd said, testing the water with his toes.

Cole and Jay hauled themselves back onto the drifting material.

"Ready, everyone?" Jay asked, positioning himself into a diving stance.

The ninjas nodded and one by one, they each hopped into the water and did a few underwater dunks before beginning their journey.

The campers view . . .

Way out in the distance, the campers could just barely make out ten bright colored dots swimming toward shore–toward them.

Sammy's heart was racing. There's no way there were any survivors in that plane crash. I mean, the plane was literally on fire and plummeting full speed into the ocean. A panicked Sammy thought. What's going to happen to us now? "Should we hide?"

"Um . . ." Darius couldn't peel his eyes from the nearing strangers.

"Darius! What do we do?" Brooklynn exploded.

This got Darius' attention. "Ya, let's hide. But not too far that we can't see where they're going."

"Why do we need to hide? It doesn't look like they're evil or anything," Kenji squinted at the mysterious survivors.

"We don't know who they are, so we shouldn't trust them," a frustrated Darius was already gesturing toward the jungle.

"What if they find our camp? Or us?" Yaz spoke up, worry building up in her voice.

"We'll make sure that doesn't happen. Now c'mon! We've got to get to a good hiding spot before those people see us," Darius leaped into the bushes behind them.

The six campers walked a hundred meters before deciding on a good tree and climbing as high as the branches would go. With this height, the campers could get a good view of the beach and the forest surrounding them.

The ninjas' views . . .

Kai lugged his exhausted body onto the sandy beach and rested for a few moments before helping his sister and friends onto the dry land.

Cole pulled himself up effortlessly and scanned the trees and greenery around them.

"Cole, how are you not tired," Jay managed to look at the black ninja.

"I'm the master of earth," Cole said, as if it was an obvious fact. "Do you think a little swim like that would wear me out? Pfft. It takes more than that to get me down."

The ninjas took a few minutes of rest before rinsing the sand off their uniforms and stepping onto the cool, moist grass.

"This place is beautiful," Skylor breathed, taking in the wonders of the island.

"I wonder how big it is," Harumi added, nudging her best friend, Skylor.

"Big, I bet," The red-haired girl responded.

"Do you think we can explore?" Harumi looked at the others.

"Sure, you two go explore. But don't go too far." Kai warned.

"We won't," The two responded.

"May I join?" Pixel stepped in.

"Ooh, me too!" Nya started walking with the girls.

"Okay, girls. Only for a bit," Cole and Jay said in unison. "Be careful!"

"We will!" All the girls scampered off, giggling.

The camper's view . . .

Kenji, Brooklynn, and Sammy watched as Nya, Skylor, Harumi, and Pixel ran off into the mystifying jungle, while Darius, Ben, and Yaz were keeping their eyes on the rest of the group, Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Lloyd, and Sensei Wu.

"Who do you think they are?" Ben ghost whispered.

"I don't know," Kenji mouthed back, half shrugging his shoulders.

"We better keep our eye on them," Darius softly added, gently shifting his position.

"They're wearing all of these bright uniforms. That's questionable, don't you think?" Brooklynn noticed.

"Ya, it could mean something," Sammy whispered back.

"They came out of that crash looking pretty jolly and not very shaken up. Do you think this wasn't the first time they crashed? . . ." Yaz muttered to herself, index finger to her chin. "Or perhaps this wasn't the most life-threatening situation they've ever been in."

Sammy and Darius were looking at her with blunt expressions.

"What?" Yaz queried, confused at her friends' facial expressions.

Sammy shook her head. "Nevermind. We really have to be careful with these new visitors. They could find our camp any day now."

"Then we better keep an eye on them. But everyone," Darius waited until he had everyone's attention before continuing his important sentence, "No one can get caught, or else, who knows. We could be done for."

"Ya. We all have got to keep an eye on these visitors from a safe distance," Ben agreed.

"Circling back to a previous question: What if they find our camp?!" Yaz accidentally shouted a bit loudly.

"Shhh, Yaz. We don't want to get caught already," Kenji had his finger to his lips.

Yaz crossed her arms. "But really, what if they do find our camp? Who knows what they'll think of it. They'll obviously know that there are other human beings on the island."

"Well, hopefully that doesn't happen," Darius mumbled.

"Didn't you hear them? They're exploring the island right now," Yaz gestured to the vast, green jungle. "Our camp isn't that far from here."

Sammy's eyes darted from Yaz to Darius as they had their little conversation.

"If that does happen, let's hope they're nice enough to talk it out with us. And maybe, we'll be able to share the food and shelter we have with them."

Yaz gave Darius a cold stare.

"But," Darius continued hurriedly to avoid another outburst from Yaz, "If they're bad guys, we gather strong sticks to defend our home and hope to scare them off, or something. But they seem like pretty friendly people. So . . . let's just wait it out, and see how things go."

"But, our main priority is not getting caught or seen by one of them," Ben topped.

"Guys, I think we're forgetting that there are still dinosaurs on this island," Kenji murmured.

"Right . . . so we have to watch out for the mysterious visitors and the dinosaurs, right?" Sammy inquired.

"Ya," everyone agreed.

The ninjas' views . . .

"This place is breathtaking," Nya breathed as she climbed a low branch on a tree to get a higher view of the mesmerizing island.

"I know," Skylor and Pixel responded in unison.

"It's so green and lush here. There's lots of fruit. I bet I could live here if I had to." Harumi twirled in the gentle breeze passing through.

"Ooh, the sun's almost completely set. We should probably go back to meet the boys again, shouldn't we?" Pixel asked her fellow girls.

"I guess," Skylor hung her head in disappointment.

"Hopefully we'll get to explore more tomorrow, when it's brighter!" Nya cheered.

The girls turned back in the direction they came and started to make their way back to the beach where the boys would be waiting.

After a few minutes of walking, the girls discovered the rest of the group resting by some shrubs about a hundred yards from the beach.

"What are you doing?" Pixel asked as she snuggled into Zane.

"Getting some rest so we're ready for tomorrow," the white ninja replied, laying his head atop Pixel's.

"That's smart," Pixel said as she dozed off.

"Kai, I'm going to go sit over there," Nya pointed at a large tree trunk in the distance.

Kai nodded and Nya trotted over to the base of the tree. Little did she know, six campers were above her, watching her every movement.

The camper's view . . .

"She's right there," Brooklynn mouthed, silently pointing down below.

No camper dared make a single movement.

Thirty minutes passed and everyone was still as motionless as a statue.

Brooklynn stood up an inch, attempting to silently shift her position.

"Brooklynn, what are you doing?" Darius alertly mouthed.

"Moving my feet. Don't worry," Brooklynn silently replied. She stood up all the way and seeked to cross her left foot over her right. In the process of doing so, she began to waver. Brooklynn successfully reached her left foot across her right, but she landed on a fresh piece of moss, disabling her shoe to get a grip. Brooklynn missed her footing and began to fall, resisting the urge to scream.

Sammy also resisted the urge to yell Brooklynn's name.

Kenji lunged for Brooklynn's hand but missed.

There Brooklynn was, falling into her fate.

Hey guys! I hope that chapter 8 was enjoyable! Again, big apologies for the long wait. My summer break has started, but unfortunately, I won't be able to post at all this week because I'm going on vacation. That's why I made this chapter extra long for y'all. As soon as I get back, I'll get right onto updating that power rangers camp cretaceous crossover I promised y'all. Thanks for reading! Please review!
