A/N #1: So uh... Sorry for not uploading the chapters in March. I spent the time figuring out Part 2A's structure and writing the chapters, but procrastination got the best of me :') This part is gonna be 7 chapters long, but I've only written four ;-; Don't worry, I'm not abandoning this fic! And I don't intend to, because I want to finish it. I hope you understand.. Anyway, let's begin Part 2A, shall we?

TRIGGER WARNING: Sexual assault/rape and associated trauma.

(The next day...)

After having a class for nearly two hours, college students exited their respective classrooms and stepped into the hallway. Everyone gathered with their friends, talking about whatever was trending or just joking around. If not, some were just holding hands, sharing affection. Meanwhile, Felicia was walking alone and carrying books. The look on her face was a mix of jealousy and wariness. As she opened her locker and put the books inside, her hands got sweaty. She dreaded that someone might dare to touch her, so Felicia quickly closed the locker and locked it before walking away, going to the canteen on a lower floor with her fists clenched if anyone dared to hurt her.

Minutes later, she sat with a tray of food and desserts, and with a glass of iced milk on her table. In the midst of friends, lovers, and strangers, Felicia was on her own. She started eating her lunch, her grey eyes scanning the surroundings for anyone suspicious. To her luck however, there was none. The girl breathed a sigh of relief and pulled out her phone to read poems on the internet. It gave Felicia a sense of comfort. A smile even formed when she read Walt Whitman's works. But it all disappeared when she came across one poem...

Upon reading its stanzas, a terrible memory from a few years ago flashed before her eyes. It was the time when she was...assaulted. Felicia looked at it with disgust and closed the browser tab showing the poem. "Not again..." she covered her face as she tried not to recall the details of the memory. However, it did... The screams, the tears she shed, her pleading for mercy. She remembered them vividly.

"Alright, no more reading poems for today," she told herself and just continued eating her lunch. Because of it, she put her guard up and looked around with caution. It didn't matter how delicious the food was nor how sweet the desserts and the milk were. She could only taste the bitterness of that terrible memory at that moment...

(Meanwhile, at Midtown High School...)

It had just been a few minutes after the school bell rang and lots of students had already occupied the canteen. As usual, indistinct chatters filled the place. Some teens were seen discussing about their recent and next school subjects, reading while eating and drinking, or just having a casual conversation.

"Oh boy yeah," Peter giggled as he took a spoon of wheat cakes to his mouth, "Man, this is so good."

"Careful. You'll choke yourself, Pete," Kaine reminded his cousin with an amused tone, which Peter replied with a nod and swallowed the wheatcakes second later. "Just curious, which wheatcakes do you prefer? These, your mom's or my mom's?"

"I like these. But oh man, nothing beats the ones made by mom and aunt May. I love them both!"

"You gotta choose one-"

"Nope. Nah uh. They are both number one so I can't," Peter laughed while the older Parker simply smiled at him.

Kaine glanced over his shoulder and saw Annabelle and Gwen sitting together with their other friends a couple of tables away from him. Both girls were talking enthusiastically that he couldn't help but overhear.

"Have you watched some new animes recently?" Anna asked the girl beside her as she ate her food.

"Yup!" Gwen replied while she drank her tea, "The last one I watched recently was just *Akagami no Shirayukihime. It's definitely my number one anime at the moment and I ship the couple A LOT." (*Snow White with the Red Hair)

Anna chuckled, "Girl. You have like...dozens of ships."

"Can't stop, won't stop," Gwen winked and stuck her tongue out playfully, earning an eyeroll from her friend.

"I haven't watched any new animes so I've been rewatching Psycho-Pass and *Mirai Nikki. Lots of gore and I still find them entertaining," Anna gave a psychotic grin just to tease Gwen. (*Future Diary)

"Sheesh. Not into that."

"Yeah, sure. Says the one who watched Saw," Anna stuck her tongue out back and everyone at the table erupted in laughter.

Seeing her goofing brought a smile to Kaine's lips, though it soon disappeared when he remembered about the times she didn't smile... He turned his attention to his tray and continued eating his lunch, sighing softly.

"Hey uh...when are you planning to tell her?" Peter asked his older cousin.

Kaine swallowed the food first and looked at the younger Parker with a somber expression. "Maybe when she's not...busy, I guess..." he answered, "I don't want to ruin the mood."

Peter simply nodded at the answer. "I hope you know what you're doing, Coz. Because there's no turning back once she knows," he reminds Kaine.

"I do know. And she deserves to know the truth."

Their phones vibrated in their pockets, interrupting their conversation. The cousins pulled the phones out and checked for the notifications. They just received a file and a message from Black Cat on the group chat.

The first lead I got from yesterday. A location. You might wanna check it out. Speaking of the lead, I think we should discuss about our next mission today. You busy atm?

Both cousins started typing their replies...

We both kinda are. Will check it out later (Kaine)

So I guess our missions are hunting for info on the bad guys' location? (Peter)

Exactly. And after we get all the intel we need, we can defeat Shocker and Tombstone (Felicia)

Good. I want to beat the hell out of Shocker for what he did. And whoever this Tombstone guy is, I'll take the pleasure of giving him so much pain. (K)

You're not alone, Scarlet. You're not alone... Anyway, ttyl? (F)

Mhm. Au revoir, Cat (P)

Spidey, you speak French? (F)

Eh- A little. Learned it from my friend XD (P)

Yeah, she's quite fluent in French and a couple of other languages. I think she's still learning some? (K)

Damn... She sounds like an amazing friend (F)

An amazing friend of the amazing Spider-Man- (P)

AND Scarlet Spider- (K)

Pfft. Okay, okay. Calm down, you two. Anyway, ttyl! (F)

Au revoir! (K)

Ttyl! (P)

Kaine looked at Peter and shook his head, earning a playful giggle from the younger Parker. "Alright, let's just finish our lunch, shall we? We only have like a few minutes left before breaktime ends," he reminded Peter, before the two ate their food again.

A couple of minutes later, Kaine and Annabelle were conversing on their way to their lockers, with Peter next to them.

"Wait, what are the next classes? he asked Anna.

"I think it's Math again, Physics, and then Chemistry."

"Oh great. My archenemies. And my life's gonna be a living hell while Peter's gonna enjoy every second of the classes," he groaned, earning a sympathetic pat from Anna and an amused reaction from Peter.

However, right before the trio could collect their books from the lockers, Kaine and Peter's spider senses zinged. This prompted Kaine to shield Anna with his hand.

"Get behind me," he told her.

"What? Why?"

"Because we are being followed and these guys wanna mess with us," Peter said to Anna.

She then looked around and saw three jocks coming toward her and her friends. A couple of them were familiar but no signs of Flash Thompson. "You're fucking kidding me... Do these guys need a beating or something?" she swore and clenched her fist.

"Nope," Peter replied as he turned to face the bully coming after him head-on. "I say they need better hobbies. This is getting lame really," he chuckled nervously.

Anna smiled and moved to face the bully in her end. "We're in this together," she said, not afraid in the slightest.

"Well, well. If it ain't the Puny Parker Bros. and the Monster Girl," said Kenny McFarlane, the lead jock as he stepped forward, approaching Kaine, who remained slightly unfazed with the taunting and his tall stature.

Annabelle laughed and scoffed at the leader. "Really? Monster Girl? That sounds more like a superhero name. Get a better insulting nickname next time, King Kong."

"You!-" Kenny rushed to the girl, about to teach her a lesson, only for Kaine to dash forward and grasped both of Kenny's hands. This left for an opening for the other bullies to get Annabelle, but Peter managed to stop one by pinning him against a locker. While Anna grabbed the other by his collar.

"Look, I'm sorry, really sorry. But if you dare to hurt my friends, then I'm afraid I have to do things the hard way," Peter warned the first bully, with a hint of reluctance in his voice. He then let him go to his own way after the bully nodded in understanding.

For Anna, she simply glared at the one in front of her. Her pupils constricted as she grinned and let out giggles. "Now, now. I think I once scared your ex-big boss Eugene Thompson and you saw it too. But seemed like it wasn't enough. Wanna know me more? Trust me. You. DON'T. WANT TO. I HAVE SO MUCH ANGER PENT UP INSIDE." She continued giggling that the bully looked at her in fear, broke free of her hold, and ran away.

After looking at the other bullies running away, Kaine turned his attention to Kenny and smirked. "Nobody's gonna help you now, Kong."

"No, please don't," Kenny begged for mercy, "Just spare me, please."

"Spare you? After what you were going to do to her? To us? Hah, I don't think so," he scoffed before starting to crush the boy's hands slightly, making Kenny groan in pain.

"A-Ah! H-How?-"

"Let me tell you something. You dare to even lay a finger on Anna or even Peter, I promise I will finish you," Kaine warned Kenny as he applied more force, earning painful yelps from the bully. "So promise- No. Swear. Swear from now on that you will not hurt anyone, including us. Got me?"

Tears started to roll down Kenny's cheeks and he nodded, before Kaine eventually released the poor bully from his grasp. Afterwards, Kenny ran away in fear.

Annabelle's eyes widened when she witnessed the whole ordeal. Not because she was shocked to see Kaine using violence or showing his darker side—something she wholeheartedly understood, even if it horrified her for the first time. But it was his strength, it seemed...more than an ordinary human's. She saw it with her own eyes that he almost crushed Kenny's bones easily.

"You guys okay?" Kaine asked his friends, checking Anna first then Peter. They simply nodded.

The three students unlocked and opened their respective lockers to collect their books. Anna couldn't help but looked at her close friend in curiosity. Questions started to pop in her mind, making her question if he was some sort of superhuman. She chuckled at such a ridiculous thought and decided to shrug it off. Perhaps it was nothing... Right..?

A/N #2: Seems like more things will happen to the Parkers, Felicia, and Annabelle in the following chapters. Our trio of heroes are going to plan for their first team-up mission while Anna might soon find out about her friends' secret ;) Stay tune for more by following and making this story your favorite. And as usual, comments and shares are appreciated! :D

A/N #3: In case everyone gets confused, I took some traits from people I know and my friends, and put them in Felicia, Gwen, and Annabelle. For Felicia, she likes to read poems and maybe comics too. (A writer whom I used to talk to gave me the suggestion to include Felicia's sexual assault backstory and in my opinion, it fits her arc here. They like reading Walt Whitman's poems so I decided to include that.) Same goes for Anna and Gwen, who love anime XD I hope that clears things up!
