After cleaning up a bit Dorothy meets up with Yaz in the TARDIS. "Hello Yaz."

"Hello Dorothy."

"Show me where you want some help."

"Can I ask you something first?"

"Of course." Dorothy leans up against the console.

"How hard was it for you to move on from your travels?"

"I left under bad circumstances, you know why The Astingir said that The Doctor and I were war criminals?"

"Yes."

"The Doctor had me throw some Nitro-9 at them and it killed many of them. The Doctor also loved playing mind games with me and using me as a literal pawn in a chess match that had been going on for centuries."

"She told me that."

"Oh yeah, but seeing her again felt good."

"At least you didn't assume that Graham was the Doctor like Jack did."

"That doesn't surprise me, now let's get to work." Yaz shows her some of the strange goings on around London in the past few months.

"Can I ask you something else?"

"You can ask me anything Yaz."

"What do you think of Graham?"

"He's nice and wants to make sure people are always fed. He is also more worried for the Doctor than he puts on."

"You think." Yaz doesn't think Graham is that worried about the Doctor as it seems he quickly moved on after they were abandoned back on earth.

"He has called me twice worried about you, though I have also called him a few times."

"Do you talk about anything else?"

"We do, he has made me laugh a number of times."

"That is good." Yaz starts to plan something in her mind that isn't about the Doctor.

"Yaz, I am not someone meant for long term relationships, I have too many trust issues, the moment they want more I get scared and run or we start to get into many fights."

"Graham would understand and be patient."

"Yaz?"

"What, I just want some of us to be happy."

"I have been happy, yes I could tell the first time I met Graham there was a sadness to him and then when I first came to see you I saw the wedding pictures and the love reflected in them. You know you are the second person to grill me on my friendship with Graham. You are more interested in happiness than jealousy."

"Will?"

"Yes."

"He likes you."

"I may trust him with my charity, but I can't trust people with my heart and stories about my whole life."

"You know traveling with the Doctor will help Graham with understanding."

"Oh Yaz, there are a few complicated details about my childhood. Some of which I can't tell a former officer."

"Graham also had some problems with the law when he was young." Dorothy lets out a loud laugh that echoes through the hollow area, then looks at some of the work Yaz has done.

"Are you using your policing skills with this?"

"Trying to."

"What will you need help with?"

Not looking in Dorothy's eyes Yaz replies, "I don't know."

"I may know a few reporters that can help keep an eye out. One of them was trained by Sarah Jane Smith, a good friend of the Doctor who sadly died recently."

"Was she like me?"

"You mean in love with the Doctor?"

"What?!"

"I don't know, many of us except for Jo Jones, Martha, and Tegan with Nyssa, though most of them met their spouses while traveling with the Doctor, not many of us end up finding love."

"How do you know all of this?"

"When I went to Sarah Jane's funeral we all met and exchanged numbers."

"Cool." Yaz looks back at the papers surrounding her.

"What is that?"

"Sighting of a Blue Box with a short Scottish Man and a short girl with a bomber jacket and a gray sack."

"Right person, wrong time, nearly 30 years too early."

"That was you?"

"Yes, as a teenager, maybe in my early 20s."

"So strike that," Yaz says as she leans against the console.

"We will find her, I will not give up until you and your Fam are back on that ship."

"You don't want to travel with us?"

With a light laugh, "maybe sometimes, but my life is here. I love my foundation that I just returned to and I do many things to fight off aliens here in London."

"The Doctor never fully left you then."

"Nope, and same with everyone else who has traveled with the Doctor we all changed."

"I just wish there was some sign of her."

"I know you do, it is also why you rely on friends and family. You never got a chance to admit how you felt."

"The Doctor is just my best friend, the closest friend I have ever had." Dorothy smiles and shuffles some of the papers around. They continue working for hours; they both end up falling asleep in the console room. Graham ends up coming and checking up on them.

He walks up to Dorothy who is slumped up against the console, 'hey."

"Hmm."

"Do you want to sleep in the house?"

"What?" A groggy Dorothy asks.

"You are in a weird position to sleep." She gets up and sorta sees Yaz is on the ground sleeping. She follows him, "do you want to sleep in Ryan's old bed?"

"The couch is fine."

"You sure."

"I just want to sleep," Graham goes and gets an extra pillow and some blankets. She is already fast asleep by the time he has returned, he lays the blanket gently over her and heads to bed himself. Across the universe the Doctor is in a cell thinking of her fam and all her enemies that she is surrounded by.
