I almost posted this chapter early because I was so excited. This isn't going to be quite as long as the first chapter. Ps. Leah and Sam broke up on good terms in this fic. I hope you enjoy :)

I waited all the next day for Sam's shirt to be done, so I could call and tell him that it was ready and then see him again when he came to pick it up. I pestered the ladies in the back about it several times to the point where they threatened to duct tape my mouth shut and glue me to my chair. I left them alone after that.

The next day though was a whole other story, the second I walked in the door Mrs. Wright was on me in seconds.

"The shirt's done for that cute boy, y'know the one you've been waiting to call. I thought my ear was going to be talked off before I could get it done!" She teased with a wink. My cheeks flushed and I stammered, "I have not been waiting for him to call!" I protested, she smirked and patted me gently on the arm. "Keep telling yourself that hunny."

She was right though. I was waiting for the shirt to be done just so I could see Sam again. I already felt excitement creeping through me at the thought of calling and hearing his voice and then actually seeing him again! I couldn't stop the giddy smile that plastered itself on my face.

The first thing I did when I sat down in the front was pick up the phone and dial the number he had given me. The phone rang for only a few seconds before someone picked up.

"Hello? This is Sam Uley speaking."

It was him!

"Hello, I'm calling to let you know that your shirt is ready for pickup." I said, trying to keep my voice steady and not give away the excitement I felt.

"Great! I'll be there in about twenty minutes, okay?" He asked, I nodded my head but then mentally smacked myself. We were talking over the phone, he couldn't see my nodding!

"Yes! Sounds perfect! See you then, thank you!" I replied quickly, I wondered if he could hear my happiness through the phone.

"Okay, thank you. Goodbye." CLICK!

I set the phone down with a sigh. I only talked to him for less than two minutes but it felt like the world had somehow gotten brighter.

I waited anxiously for only fifteen minutes until I heard the familiar jingle of the front door. My head whipped up so quickly that my neck protested. I instantly smiled when I saw him, he was early.

"Hi! Let me go grab your shirt and I'll be right back!" I said as he approached the counter. He nodded as I practically leapt from my chair and bounced over to the bins.

I had checked multiple times to make sure I could grab the shirt quickly so none of my time would be wasted not looking at his perfect face. I hopped back to the counter and laid his shirt down.

"Good as new!" I exclaimed as he picked it up and examined it. He smiled at me and laid the shirt over his arm. "Thank you." He said simply, I fidgeted with my hands for a moment.

"So, how has your day been so far? I know it's pretty early but for it to be a good day it must first be a good morning." I said, he chuckled. "It's been pretty good even better now that I saw you."

My face felt aflame, I'm sure I looked like a tomato. "Oh-uh. Well-thank you! That's so nice…" I stammered, I smiled at how flustered I was. He looked down at his shirt and then back to me, "Are you doing anything tonight?" He asked, I felt my heart skip a beat.

"Uh…no. I'm not." I answered, he seemed to think for a second. "Would you and your sister like to come over for dinner with my family and I tonight?" He asked. Yeah I was pretty sure he just short circuited my brain. I stared at him for a few seconds and I could tell he was thinking I was about to reject him.

Say something! Anything! Yes, no, maybe just spit it out!

I blinked at him before finally I snapped back to reality.

"We would love to! Thank you!" I said it a bit loudly, wincing at my clearly flustered self. But he smiled widely and he shifted on his feet. "Great, I'll write down my address if you'd like. I'm sure it'll be easier to remember that way." He offered, I nodded before producing a piece of paper and sliding it across the counter.

He quickly wrote down his address and phone number. I even liked his handwriting, it was harsh and loopy but it was perfect. He handed me the paper when he was done with it and I folded it up and put it in my pocket.

"Is six a good time?" He asked, I nodded. "Yeah, sounds great!" I replied, he smiled again and I couldn't stop the overjoyed smile that forced its way onto my face.

"Awesome, see you then?" He said, as he turned partially to leave. I nodded again, "Yeah! See you then." With a slight wave, he waved back and then he was gone.

I rested my elbow on the counter and my cheek in my hand and let out a pleasured sigh. There had to be a way to see him everyday. My life would be perfect if I saw him everyday, I'd never be sad. Maybe when we went to dinner I could sabotage all his clothes and then he'll have to come back to the shop to get them fixed and then I'll get to see him everyday!

Alright that was a little far fetched but you can't blame a girl for trying. I looked up as the door jingled and an old man walked in holding a big green quilt.

"Hello, I'd like to get a hole fixed and have some embroidery done too." He asked, I nodded and reached for the quilt. "What would you like the embroidery to be?"

After multiple hours of boring work, my work day finally came to an end. I waved goodbye to the other ladies and practically flew out of the door. Once I was in my car and couldn't stop the excited squeal that escaped me.

I took a few deep breaths and started the car. Once I was sure that I wasn't going to wreck my car because I was shaking from excitement I drove to Lizzie's school.

She was waiting by the curb talking to a girl with long dark brown hair and porcelain skin. I pulled up in front of them and smiled as I rolled down the window.

"Ready to go, Lizzie?" I asked, she jumped, apparently she hadn't noticed me. She whipped her head towards me and smiled "Hey! Sammy, this is Bella." She said, motioning to the girl next to her. I smiled at Bella, "Nice to meet you Bella. I love your hair." I called, Bella blushed and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. "Thank you, nice to meet you too." She greeted me kindly. I gave her a wink as Lizzie climbed in the car and waved, "See ya tomorrow Bella!" She called, and I gave Bella one last wave.

I drove out of the school parking lot before addressing Lizzie. "She seems nice. Do you have any classes with her?"

"She's really nice! I only have two classes with her but she's been helping me navigate through the school and helping with some of the awkward questions people think up." She explained animatedly, I smiled gently at her as my heart swelled. Lizzie had made her very first friend in Forks.

"Are you guys planning on hanging out anytime soon?" I asked, Lizzie nodded fervently. "Yeah, she invited me over to study tomorrow night! Isn't that cool? She's eighteen, so she is a lot older than me but she seems lonely. She told me her best friend started ghosting her a few weeks ago." She replied, I frowned. Poor girl, her best friend was ignoring her? I knew what that felt like, it was a horrible feeling that I wouldn't wish upon anyone.

"Well, I'm glad you're making friends." I said softly, I was happy. Happy for her, happy for us. I was a little scared Lizzie wasn't going to end up making any friends but I was wrong and I had never been so happy to be wrong then I was right now.

"What are we doing for dinner?" Lizzie asked as she picked at her nails, I wish she wouldn't do that, it's terrible for nails. "Stop picking your nails-" Lizzie rolled her eyes, "-and we're going over to a friend's house for dinner." I finished, Lizzie stopped picking her nails and turned her head to look at me straight on. "Huh? We just moved here and you are already friends with someone enough to be invited over to their house?" She questioned, her right eyebrow raised to the middle of her forehead.

"It was that man, Sam, that invited us over. Don't say anything about it, young lady." I threatened. Lizzie smiled slyly, "You mean the same guy you were practically drooling over a few days ago when you got back from work?" She pried, I couldn't help the shy smile that appeared.

"Ha! I knew it! I knew he was going to ask you to dinner! I mean who could not fall instantly in love with a beauty such as yourself?!" She bellowed, I laughed and patted her thigh. "Calm down! I've had plenty of guys turn me down, trust me, it wouldn't be my first time."

Lizzie settled down for the rest of the drive and when we got home she went to relax in her bedroom, work on some new homework, and spruce herself up for dinner tonight.

-SAMS POV-

I had been waiting anxiously for the phone to ring. I was excited to hear her voice again, to see her smile again, laugh again, just look in my general direction again.

Samantha was her name, she told me. I thought it was probably the prettiest name I had ever heard, she was the prettiest girl I had ever seen.

With her long golden blonde hair, blue eyes, and dimples. She was tall. She wasn't like most of the girls I had met who were short, so short I could bend over them.

She had a kind aura about her. She would be the girl that brought home a lost puppy that she found on the street. She was perfect, I had never seen such a perfect thing in my life.

When I got home for the first time after I had met her I had been incredibly confused. I felt an almost magnetic pull to her, a moth to flame. I knew from the moment I saw her that I would do anything for her. Be anything for her.

She had taken my heart without even knowing it and held it in her palm. I trusted her not to hurt it, I believed that she never would hurt it. Because I would never hurt her, ever. Because I had imprinted on her and I would do anything for her.

I had been sitting at the table daydreaming about Sammy when finally the phone rang. I sprung from my chair faster than the speed of light, effectively startling the crap out of Jared, Paul, and Jacob.

I was at the phone in less than two seconds, I yanked it off the wall and cleared my throat before putting it up to my ear.

"Hello, this is Sam Uley speaking." I tried to keep my voice as steady as possible as I spoke.

"Hello, I'm calling to let you know that your shirt is ready for pickup." Her beautiful voice flitted through the phone and instantly my shoulders sagged and a smile appeared on my face. She sounded so happy, almost relieved that I had picked up.

"Great! I'll be there in about twenty minutes, okay?" If I could get there faster, I would, but twenty minutes was the best I could manage without phasing and sprinting through the forest as a wolf.

"Yes! Sounds perfect! See you then, thank you!" She sounded so excited, she was trying to hide it, I could tell by the way her voice slightly shook.

"Okay, thank you. Goodbye." Really?! I couldn't have come up with a nicer goodbye than that? But I hung up the phone before she could say anything else. I just wanted to see her in person, with her beautiful face, and beautiful smile, and sparkling eyes, and-

"You said twenty minutes. At this rate it's going to be forty." Jared called from the table with a snicker, I glared over at him. "I didn't ask you Jared." I growled, I wasn't actually threatening the boy but I liked to mess with them.

"Sam imprints and suddenly he becomes a lap dog. Is she even pretty?" Paul questioned, I glared at him for real this time. "Yes. She is beautiful. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and she just-she just perfect." Just talking about her made my anger evaporate.

"Okay, big bad alpha. Go get your girl."

I ruffled each of their hair before heading out the door with a wave. I climbed into my car and made the twenty minute drive into a fifteen minute drive by speeding. Thankfully there were no police officers around here.

I pulled up right beside the store and climbed out. I gave myself just a second to relax before smoothing my shirt and stepping into the store. I thought for a second she had broken her neck with how fast her head had whipped around but nope.

Once she laid her eyes on me she smiled, a beautiful glorious smile. I started approaching the counter, "Hi! Let me go grab your shirt and I'll be right back!" She greeted me, I nodded in understanding but I was actually just too wrapped up in her soft voice to actually respond.

She leapt from her seat and literally bounced over to the purple bins that were on the side of the wall. She knew exactly which bin my shirt was in and in an instant she was back at the counter and laid it down gently on the counter.

"Good as new!" She proclaimed, I scooped the shirt up and went to the side where the hole had once been. It was perfectly seamless, almost as if there had never been a hole in the first place. It was perfect.

I smiled gently at her as I laid the shirt over my forearm, "Thank you." I said, my happiness was about to bubble over and suffocate this whole place. She fidgeted with her hands for a moment and I tried to think of something to say when she finally spoke.

So, how has your day been so far? I know it's pretty early but for it to be a good day it must first be a good morning." She said almost matter-of-factly. I chuckled, this woman was perfect.

"It's been pretty good even better now that I saw you." I replied, I couldn't help the feeling of pride as she blushed from her collar bone to her ears. The color reminded me of roses. "Oh-uh. Well-thank you! That's so nice…" She trailed off, she was shy. Then she smiled again and I couldn't help how my heart demanded I reach out and touch her arm. But I resisted, instead looking down at my shirt and creating a brilliant plan.

"Are you doing anything tonight?" I asked, I was going to invite her over to have dinner with my mother and I. "Uh…no. I'm not." She answered. Should I just say it or work my way into it?

"Would you and your sister like to come over for dinner with my family and I tonight?" I asked. She blinked at me for a few seconds, I honestly believed she was thinking of polite ways to reject me. She blinked once more and seemed to come back to herself.

"We would love to! Thank you!" She exclaimed, almost yelling. Again a smile graced my face as I shuffled on my feet, she made me so happy. She probably needed to know where I lived though.

"Great, I'll write down my address if you'd like. I'm sure it'll be easier to remember that way." I offered, pulling my pen out of my shirt pocket. She nodded and reached under the counter and pulled a piece of paper out and slid it across the counter. I quickly wrote down my address, noticing that she watched every loop of the pen I made. I handed her the paper when I was done, "Is six a good time?" I asked, she nodded again. "Yeah, sounds great!" She replied, excitement dripping from her voice.

I noted with a sour note that I would have to leave soon. "Awesome, see you then?" I asked, turning partially toward the door. I had to make the goodbye rather abrupt otherwise I would never be able to force myself to leave.

"Yeah! See you then!" She called as she waved, I waved back happily. Then I was out the door. I hadn't noticed how fast my heart had been beating or that my hands were slightly shaking.

I drove home a happy man. I was sure the others were going to pester me with questions and poke at me until I would finally give in and answer them.

-SAMMY'S POV-

I was told that the drive to La Push was only about twenty minutes, so I had plenty of time to get ready.

I decided to wear a light blue dress, it was so light it was almost white. I pulled on a pair of dark brown sandals and braided my hair. I wasn't really a makeup kind of gal but I put it on sometimes. I felt this event was worthy of makeup.

I put only a light layer of powder foundation on and mascara song with a light pink lipstick. I was by no means an expert on makeup like Lizzie but I was decent, I didn't look like a clown by the end at least.

I walked out of my bedroom after pulling on a long white cardigan and grabbing my purse.

"Lizzie! Are you ready yet?" I called down the hall. A few seconds later Lizzie trotted out of her bedroom, rocking a peach tunic shirt and black pants. She had the same shade of foundation that I did, but she had eyeshadow along with her mascara and a darker pink than me.

"You look pretty!" We said in unison. We both burst out laughing and kissed each other on the cheek.

"You look wonderful Sammy." Lizzie complimented, I smiled and cradled her face in my hands. "You look wonderful too, Lizzie." I said with a kiss on the top of her head. She smiled up at me and winked, "I know." She said, a playful glint in her eyes.

Lizzie went to pull on a coat and met me down stairs, we were out the door quickly. We stopped by the store and picked up a bundle of flowers as a thank you.

We hopped back in the car, breathing hard because we had made a mad dash to the car because it started pouring cats and dogs. We laughed for a good few minutes as I started the car and merged onto the highway.

A few minutes later we were pulling up to a house, per Lizzie's fantastic direction giving skills. If it had just been me I would have been lost in the first five minutes.

The rain had let up a good bit so we didn't have to dash to the door quite as fast as at the grocery store. We made it to the front door unscathed and I raised a hand to knock but the door flung open before my knuckles even made contact.

My breath caught as I looked up into his eyes, his beautiful dark eyes. He smiled down at me, almost as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulder in my presence.

"Sam…" I said breathlessly. Lizzie elbowed me in the side effectively waking me from my trance.

"Hi, you must be Sam!" Lizzie greeted, catching his attention. He smiled at Lizzie as though looking at a sweet little girl. "Yeah, sorry. Come in." He said, moving aside and motioning for us to enter.

We stepped inside and I was instantly greeted by the smell of fresh cut wood, moss, and some kind of food. The floors were an old dark wood, I didn't know what kind but they were clearly well loved and they were beautiful.

The walls were a light beige with patches of slightly different color where, I'm sure, a child drew as you could see a few marks of sharpie peeking through the thin layer of paint. It brought a smile to my face, this was a warm loving home. I already loved it.

Sam guided us to the living room, he offered us the couch where we were willing to plopped down. I pulled my coat off and was about to set it in my lap but Sam offered to hang it up for me. I handed it over to him and he went to collect Lizzie's as well before disappearing around a corner.

An older looking woman appeared in the doorway and smiled. She hobbled into the living room and gently grabbed my face.

"Oh my! Look at you! A beauty!" She exclaimed, I blushed and twisted my hands in my lap. "That's very kind of you Mrs…?" I stammered, she patted me on the cheek, "Uley. But please call me Allison." She turned to Lizzie and cupped her face.

"My, you clearly have beauty running in your family." Allison mused, Lizzie blushed scarlet and stammered out a thank you the same way I did. Allison sat down in an armchair and stared at us, "So tell me about yourselves!" She exclaimed, I blinked a few times.

"Uh, well. I work at the boutique in Forks. I'm currently in training but once I'm done I'll move on to actually sewing instead of helping with other things." I explained, she nodded along. "Well don't be shy honey, tell me more." She prodded, I couldn't help smiling.

"Well we moved here from Idaho just last weekend and I have a dog and Lizzie here has a cat. I also like cooking, I'm not much into cleaning but you do what you have to do." I continued to ramble on and on until Sam finally appeared again and smiled at me from the entryway.

"Ma, a timer went off in the kitchen." He called. Allison climbed from her chair and turned to me, "Would you like to help me? You don't have to, of course, you are a guest." She offered, I smiled even wider. "I would love to help! Lizzie are you alright in here?" I said, Lizzie looked over to me from where she was scanning their large bookshelves filled with Native American stories.

"Yeah, I'll be okay." She replied, as I walked out with Allison I saw Sam approach Lizzie. "You can read a few if you want." Sam offered, I saw Lizzie perk up from the corner of my eye. "Really? Are you sure?" She asked, Sam nodded and proceeded to show her his favorites.

"So, what are we making?" I asked as we arrived in the kitchen, Allison went over to the fridge and pulled out a large block of cheese. "Lasagna, it's already done cooking, that's what the timer was, but I need someone to cut the cheese into chunks and then grate it. I would do it but my hands have been very shaky lately and I don't want to end up cutting myself." She explained, I nodded along happily. "I can do that, easy peasy!" I replied.

She gave me a knife and a cutting board and told me how much cheese she needed and I started chopping. As I cut the cheese my mind started to wander to Sam, he was so nice and I had barely talked to him.

I probably should have found it weird that he invited my sister and I over for dinner and we had only spoken a few times. But I didn't question it. His mother was just as sweet as him. The one thing I did notice was that there were no pictures of any male father figure anywhere. Maybe he had died? Or left?

Maybe I was just thinking too much into it, I tended to do that a lot.

Because of my daydreaming I didn't really notice the cheese block had gotten precariously small and I was cutting scarily close to my fingers. Only when I felt an evil stinging pain around the joint of my finger was I finally pulled from my cloud.

Instantly I clamped my hand around my finger. Don't look. Don't look. Just don't look. I pleaded with myself, but I had to look to see how badly I had cut it. I hurt pretty freaking badly.

I just stood there, in shock. I had shoved my hand into my dress so I didn't get any blood on their cheese and I was starting to panic. I jumped as someone called my name and I looked up to see Sam standing in the doorway with an odd look on his face.

"Sammy? Are you alright?" He asked, I blinked at him a few times. "I cut myself. I think it's bad." I don't know how he heard me, my voice was barely above a whisper.

But alarm flashed across his face and he was by my side in an instant. I hadn't noticed before that the cloth of my dress that I had wrapped around my finger had slowly but surely started to turn red.

Sam grabbed a clean cloth out of a drawer from the counter and in a flash had my finger wrapped up. I didn't even get to see the damage I had done to myself.

I was starting to feel woozy and slightly sick, "I'm sorry, I think I got blood on your cheese." I whispered as I swayed. "It's alright. Don't worry about it, honey." Sam assured me.

I flinched as he slowly started to peel the cloth back to reveal my finger, I sucked in a breath of horror. I had someone taken a chunk out of the front of my pointer finger and I could see bone.

I felt myself pale and the dizziness increased. "Sam…I'm about to…" I croaked out, I couldn't help the flash of imagery in my mind. My father standing above me, a belt dripping my own blood held tightly in his hands.

"Sammy, hey are you okay?" He questioned as my swaying intensified ten fold. I crumpled and he caught me.

Lol, never mind that was basically just as long as the first chapter. Bye!
