Ace and Graham come home from the movies to yet again see someone waiting for them. Ace is the first to notice who it is, quickly puts the car in park and jumps out of the car and runs to see who it is. "KATE," she screams as she wraps her in a hug, "you had many people worried about you." Graham comes up at a normal pace behind Ace.

"I know, you two are the last to see that I am ok. I got back two days ago. I know Ace has an important job and I wanted to tell the two of you at the same time that I am ok and I ended up helping the Doctor and got full permission to get UNIT back and running again. This time I will only be wanting my senior agents who know the Doctor."

"You already have us working for you."

"I know I do, I may already have a job for you Ace."

"Just me?"

"You fit well in the world I need you in as you are already part of it because of your charity."

"Makes sense." Graham ushers them both into the house.

"Wow, your house is huge." Ace directs Kate to a sitting area, Kate sits on a recliner while Ace sits on the couch and Graham sits next to her.

"We know," Ace says while smiling at Graham who has taken her coat as he goes to take Kate's coat so they can get started. "What do you want me to do?"

"There seems to be a couple of paintings disappearing, because the same face seems to have been added to it."

"I will start tomorrow, Graham and I wanted to spend the day together."

"Don't you already spend a lot of time together?"

"I have been doing a lot of time at A Charitable Earth, since Will is about to become a dad in a few months."

"That's nice."

"It is."

"The few times I have run into him," Graham starts, "he is happy and shows off sonogram pictures."

"You have run into him."

"Some of our lunch dates at your building."

"You bring her lunch often?"

"He tries to bring it at least once a week."

"I am retired, I don't have much else to do besides make sure my girlfriend eats on days she is going to be busy, and may not be home until it's late."

"Unless I have been in a meeting we eat together. Though I am going to call both Will and Sanaul and see if they can handle everything until we can figure out what is going on."

"You don't have to do that."

"I know, but knowing anyone from your family when they come up and say something is suspicious, it means something is exactly that."

"Thank you Ace."

"No problem." Kate makes her leave.

A few hours later Ace and Graham are cuddling on the couch, "you are going to be spending time at Art Galleries for the foreseeable future."

"I know."

"Are you going to try and split your time between the two?"

"You mean A Charitable Earth and UNIT?"

"Yes, I know what you said to Kate about seeing if Sanaul and Wil can do more, but I know you; as long as you are on earth, A Charitable Earth is a part of you."

"You are also a part of me Graham, if I was to do that, I would see you less."

"We don't want that at all."

With a smile gracing her lips, "not at all."

The next day Mel comes by and notices that Graham is pacing around holding a small box in his hands. To herself, "is he planning to propose," she sees him getting down on one knee then back up. She knocks on the door, Graham sticks the ring in his pocket.

"Mel?"

"No need to hide, I saw you practicing through the big windows."

"How much?"

"You getting down on one knee, taking out a box, come on get it out let me see it."

"The first one besides a jeweler and myself that I want to see is Ace herself."

"That is sweet, do you know what you are going to say?"

"Not yet, that is what I was practicing."

"You know if you don't want Ace to find out you may want to stay away from the big glass windows you two have."

"I should've known better."

"You are nervous Graham, speaking about Ace, where is she?"

"She is doing a thing for Kate?"

"Whose Kate?"

"Kate Stewart is the daughter of one of the Doctor's oldest friends, who she once met when she was traveling with the Doc."

"That's nice, I will let you get back to practicing."

"Thank you Mel." Mel leaves, Graham goes back in, locks the door and goes upstairs. Walking into the master bath, he takes out the ring. Looks at himself, "I don't want to see myself, I am already nervous enough." He walks into one of the empty spare rooms, "here I go, man my palms are sweaty. Come on O'Brien you know she is ready. The two of you just talked about getting married." He paces around the room again, "Ace," he starts imagining her standing in front of him, "I love you, I am lucky to have found you. I didn't think there was someone else there for me. I am glad that I was wrong. From the moment you stepped foot on the TARDIS almost two years ago, I started to like you then. After you came back to earth, we started to become friends. Without realizing it, I started to feel more than a friend should. We became more than friends. Will you marry me?" Graham stands up, "no that is rubbish. How am I going to propose to her?"

"Graham," Ace yells as she enters the house, "I am home."

Graham puts the ring box in his left jean pocket. "Coming." He walks down the stairs, Ace is standing there, her hip against the banister.

"What were you up to?"

"Thinking," he gives her a welcome home kiss.

"About?"

"Something I hope you will love."

She rubs his chest, her eyes looking straight into his, "I am sure that whatever it is, I will love it." Ace brings him in for a deeper kiss. She feels the box in his pocket as their bodies have molded together. "What is that?"

"Something."

"Something as in?"

"That you will eventually see."

"Fine," with a slight pout.

Graham gives her a slight peck on the lips, "how was your day?"

"It was fine, we now have 10 missing photos."

"I'm sorry Honey."

"It's not you who is doing it."

"I know, get out of your day clothes, I will draw you a bath."

"Make it a bath for two."

"On it." Graham for the second time in a few hours this time walking over to a clawfoot tub and starting the water. As the water starts to fill the tub he goes downstairs to pour two glasses of wine. As he goes back into the bathroom Ace is lighting a few candles with her robe on.

"I didn't want to get cold while the tub was filling."

"You know how I feel seeing you in practically nothing."

"Oh I know," Ace saunters closer to him and takes the wine glasses from him, "now you get ready for our bath." Graham goes into the bedroom and puts the ring box deep in his top right dresser drawer. He gets undressed and goes back to the bathroom to see Ace is already in the tub. "Get in behind me?"

"Of course," Ace scouts forward a little bit and Graham gets in behind her. As he settles in Ace gets comfortable and he rests his chin on her shoulder.

"I like this, after going to five Art Galleries today, getting a call from Will saying that they need me tomorrow."

"Is everything ok with A Charitable Earth?"

"I don't know. I couldn't read his voice."

"Is there anything I can do?"

"This right here."

"How about this," he starts to massage her shoulders.

"Mmm, you are talented." Graham doesn't respond, just keeps working a knot in her shoulder. "You are amazing at this."

"Are you trying to get me to say something?"

"No," Ace reaches for her wine glass, the aroma from the candles mixing with the smell of lavender from the baubles that she added in. "I feel better now, thank you." Graham stops his hand movements and wraps his arms around her.

"You never have to thank me for making you feel better."

"I know, I love you.''

"I love you too Ace." They stay in the bath for about half an hour and get out, dry each other off, blow out the candles and go to bed.

Over the next few months Graham is getting increasingly nervous with how is going to propose. "Graham, what is making you so nervous." Ace asks while the two of them are having dinner with Mel.

"Me nervous, why would I be nervous Honey?"

"That is why I am asking you."

Mel looks at Ace's hand to see that there is still no ring on her finger, "well."

"Do you know Mel?"

"I have a feeling, but he needs to man up.''

"Oi, Graham is all man." Graham blushes.

"I do not need to know that Ace."

"You are the one that said he needs to man up, Melanie."

"Come off it Ace, there is no reason for that."

"It's ok Honey, I don't mind it."

"Graham, you sure everything is ok?"

"More than ok, love."

"Ok," she says looking deep into his eyes.

"I think I will go home now." Mel leaves the house.

"Graham follow me," Graham gets up and they sit on the couch, "what is going on?"

"I didn't want to do it like this."

"Do what like this?" Graham gets up and runs to get the ring.

"This," he gets down on one knee, "Dorothy, Ace, will you marry me?"

Ace, still sitting on the couch, starts to nod her head, "yes, a million times yes, I will marry you." He slips the ring on her finger and they share a kiss.
