Today is the day! We get to finally find out what Lizzie's ship is! Anyhow! Thank you all so much for being patient, I know the last chapter was short and terrible and I'm not going to make excuses for it. Anyhow, I love cuddles so I hope yall know that there are going to be a lot of cuddles in this story lol. It's totally canon in my mind that Sam can make the best pancakes, prove me wrong. Ps. I also just noticed how much I make Sam touch Sammy's hair… Enjoy! :)
Have you ever slept so well that you're actually happy when you open your eyes in the morning? I never have, until this morning.
I woke up to a radiating warmth pressed against my side, it was so cozy and warm. I wasn't even sad that I had woken up, now I could truly appreciate the warmth.
That warmth was Sam, who had his arms wrapped around my waist and his face buried in my hair. If waking up next to an angel was possible, this is what it would feel like.
His face was so relaxed, none of the worry lines that usually appeared on his face were there. His face was so soft, he looked younger when he slept. I honestly never wanted this perfect moment to end.
But it did when Sam opened his pretty brown eyes and stared back into my own blue ones. The second he was fully functional he smiled at me and leaned forward, placing his forehead against mine.
"Good morning Darling." He whispered, I smiled and brought my good hand up to caress his cheek. "Good morning." I replied.
Remarkably the sun was shining…right on my face. I brought my hand up to shield my face but Sam was already sitting up, blocking the blindly light. Not that his incredible good looks weren't just as blinding.
I whined in protest and reached for him, "Where are you goingggg!" I cried, jutting my lip out in a pout. Sam laughed and brushed a stray hair from my face, "I have to get up…make you and your sister breakfast and take care of you…not to mention I have to pee." he chuckled, I giggled and let him go.
"Nice butt." I called as he walked toward my bathroom. He grabbed his clothed butt in defense and glared at me, his cheeks were bright red though. "Stop it." He growled, but his eyes twinkled with mischief. I laughed and flopped my head back onto the pillow. I had never loved someone the way I loved Sam.
Maybe it was because I was an imprint. Even so, every fiber of my body yearned for him every second of every day. It was like everytime he left, he took a piece of myself with him. He always brought it back but it hurt to see him leave, even for a second.
Sam came out of the bathroom and sat down beside me on the bed, helping me prop myself up. "So, what would you like to do?" He asked, I thought for a moment. What would I like to do?
"I would like to eat pancakes for breakfast. If you'd please." I answered, Sam smiled and scooped me into his arms before walking out of the room, down the hall, and to the stairs.
He set me down in the living room and handed me the TV remote. I smiled up at him as he kissed my forehead.
"Do you want anything in your pancake?" He asked, I tapped my chin in thought. "Hm, how about some chocolate chips? They're in the second door on the left of the fridge." I called as he walked into the kitchen. I listened as Sam moved stuff and banged around in the kitchen.
I clicked the TV on and turned to my favorite channel, it always had my favorite shows. I was scrolling through the option when I saw Lizzie stumbled into the kitchen from the corner of my eye.
She had her cat tightly held in her blanket covered arms, her fuzzy blanket drug behind her on the ground. She didn't make a sound as she plopped down beside me and leaned as close as possible to me.
"Morning, sleeping beauty." I said, turning my head towards her. She offered me a sleepy smile and closed her eyes. I chuckled and turned back to the TV.
Lizzie did eventually become active, watching the TV while her cat purred against her chest. Sam walked into the living room, explaining to us that breakfast was ready.
Sam, with Lizzie's help, walked me into the kitchen, where they sat me down in one of the stools. Sam produced a plate of beautiful golden pancakes and offered me the syrup. Sam also slid a plate of pancakes to Lizzie, who instantly put way too much syrup on and took a massive bite.
My first bite was like heaven, Sam made perfect pancakes. I took another bite and another, each one better than the last, until my plate was empty and my stomach was full. I was a very happy woman. Full girlfriend, happy life.
Lizzie helped Sam clean the kitchen after Sam helped me back to the couch. I had tried to get them to let me help do the dishes but they had fervently declined, even when I said I could lean against the counter.
They had placed me back in front of the TV and I was not happy. This was going to be a long few weeks until I could walk on my own.
When they were done cleaning, Lizzie went upstairs to take a shower and get ready for the day while Sam came and snuggled me upon my request. Snuggling was one of my favorite things. My mother used to make me snuggle all the time, and I loved it. You don't get cold, you're not alone, and you're with someone you love. How could it get any better than that?
I was cuddled into Sam's side when his phone started buzzing. He fished it out of his pocket and answered it quickly. I could only make out a few words like "Trail." and "Scent."
After a few minutes he hung up the phone and stood, just as Lizzie barreled down the stairs, fully dressed and ready to go. "I just got a call, I need to get going. Jared is going to come over and help you out today while I'm gone. Okay?" He asked, pulling away from me. I smiled and nodded before leaning up and giving him a quick goodbye kiss, which he instantly melted into. But Sam pulled away reluctantly and caressed my cheek before standing and saying goodbye to Lizzie and then heading out the door.
Not even ten minutes later there was a knock on the door and Lizzie opened it to find Jared, standing on our doorstep with a goofy smile. Lizzie let him in and went back to hunting for her math textbook.
I asked Jared to help me upstairs so Lizzie could help me get dressed and ready for the day, he happily obliged. Lizzie helped me undress and change once Jared left. We stuck with comfortable clothes, leggings and a super soft sweater.
We called Jared back up so he could help me back downstairs. Once I was settled on the couch Jared said he was driving Lizzie to school. They had only left a few minutes ago and I already missed Lizzie.
Anxiety started to gnaw at me, every sound I heard made me jump. Every creak of old wood made me whip my head around, looking for an intruder. It helped a little knowing that Penelope was right there next to me.
I had chewed seven of my ten finger nails down to stubs by the time Jared got back. The instant I heard his voice I relaxed. Even when Jared wasn't here, there were wolves in the tree behind my house, waiting for a vampire to try and hurt me again.
Jared was extremely helpful, fetching me things and feeding me throughout the day, it was kind of like being an adult baby. Not being able to really do anything for myself or others!
I was relaxing on the couch, watching one of my favorites whe Jared came in with wet rags and bandages the hospital had sent us home with. Even though I protested the entire time, it's safer than sorry.
I was eternaling happy when Sam walked through my front door, he carried groceries, probably for dinner tonight. I smiled brightly at him but he didn't smile, he just frowned at me, something was bothering him.
"Sam? Everything okay, honey?" I asked, gently taking Sam's hand into my own.
"Sammy." Sam breathed, I nodded. "I'm here, Darling." I called, he looked me straight in the eye. "There is something I have to tell you." Sam said, caution in his voice. I raised an eyebrow. "Why are you being so weird?" I demanded, Sam gulped and squeezed my hand tighter. "Seth ClearWater, our youngest wolf…he imprinted on Lizzie." Sam spit out quickly. I blinked at him.
"What?" Shock, pure and utter shock. "Who…imprinted…on…who?!" I demanded. I didn't think that Seth ClearWater couldn't take care of and love Lizzie but she was very sensitive and even something that seems normal to Seth could disrupt Lizzie.
"Seth ClearWater imprinted on your sister." Sam repeated, I nodded.
"When?"
"He was one of the wolves assigned to watch your sister, today was the first day he actually saw her." Sam explained, I sighed and rubbed my face. "Well. That couldn't have had better timing." I said, sarcasm dripping from my words. Sam gently rubbed my back as I processed all the information.
I had never met Seth ClearWater but I was going to today. He was going to come over to my house and meet me before he got to be anywhere near my sister. I explained that thoroughly to Sam, who agreed.
Ten minutes later there was a knock on the door and Sam went to get it. Sam came back with a shy looking, maybe, fifteen year old boy. Honestly he was adorable, definitely Lizzie's type.
Seth sat down, Sam sitting back down next to me. Seth fidgeted with his hands, "Y-You said you wanted to meet me?" He asked, poor thing was scared I was going to eat him. "Yes. You imprinted on my sister, Elizabeth Greene?" I questioned, Seth perked up at her name.
"Yes, she is so pretty. I want to touch her pretty hair but I'm pretty sure I'd only scare her." He admitted he was trying to hold back excitement, I could tell. "Yes, she is very pretty. But I want to know a little about you." I explained, Seth nodded his head seriously.
"I'm a freshman in Rez highschool. I'm fifteen, I like the color blue and my favorite food is spaghetti. I hope you know that I'd never hurt Lizzie. Ever. She's-She's…perfect. Perfect in every way." Seth whispered, his eyes straying to the ceiling.
"Seth." I stated. His head snapped back to me. "Do not hurt me sister. She is very sensitive to…touch. Strangers touch. When you meet her for the first time, keep your distance. Let her come to you. And just remember, I am not opposed to murder." I warned, Seth nodded his head gravely, hsi eyes darting to my hands, perhaps checking to see if I had any weapons.
"Seth?" I called, he looked up. "Yes?" He questioned.
"Take care of my sister? Okay?" I asked, Seth nodded. "I won't let anyone or anything ever hurt her." Seth stated, I nodded and motioned him over. He stepped forward and I took his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "I know you'll protect her, even when I'm gone." I whispered, pulling him down so he could hear.
"I'm glad someone will be here to protect her when I'm not around anymore." I whispered before squeezing his hand one more time and releasing him. "Go get her wolf boy." I teased with a wink. Seth's cheeks turned pink and he stuttered his goodbye as Sam followed him to the door and gave him his own talking to.
Sam came back to me, I flopped my head against his shoulder. "Is asking one thing to be simple really that much to ask?" I asked him, Sam chuckled. "Yes. Nothing is made easy in this world, you certainly got the short end of the stick when it comes to complicated manners." He chuckled.
"Wow. My sweet little sister and that sweet boy. They're going to be such a push-over couple." I laughed, Sam joining me. "Yeah, I can't imagine Lizzie or Seth standing up to someone." He mused, I nodded in agreement.
"Wow. What a day." I breathed, Sam sighed beside me. "Yeah, what a day." He mimicked, I snuggled closer into his side and took a deep breath of his heavy scent in.
"I love you, so so much." I whispered, Sam smiled and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "I love you, so so much." He parroted, I giggled and hugged him tighter. "Don't leave me. You're stuck with me now."
"Don't worry, Sammy. You're the one who is stuck with me."
"Likewise, you've never lived with me."
"I'm going to be for the next few days."
"That doesn't count."
"Yes it does."
"No it doesn't."
