Chapter Eight:
Getting To Work on "The Best Video Ever"
SMG4 was beyond elated, he was rising to the top again, despite the fact there were YouTubers out there with more subscribers than he had.
All the memes he could make once more, all the videos about whatever wacky adventures he and Mario he endured he could make, he could do it without facing cancellation and he'd made his return with the help of an old enemy.
After all these years, after all of their battles, he didn't think SMG3 would be helping him with his YouTube channel, even after the guy scored three million live-stream views while in the Internet Graveyard and after turning over a new leaf.
Yet, here they were, working together on videos as a team without a hint of backstabbing from the Internet Graveyard's number one celebrity and the channel getting hijacked. Everything felt great!
"Oh my gosh, I-I can't believe we did it!" SMG4 exclaimed, knowing he could get back to making memes without trouble, "All the subscribers are back, so many people following me on Twitter must be happy. Man, I bet Mario will be excited about the news mores' than when he hears a word about spaghetti."
"You see, my former nemesis? People care about quality above all else." SMG3 said, "I can't believe I had to teach you that, SMG4. Uh, SMG4?"
SMG3 looked at his partner with some... concern, especially as there seemed to be a super eager look on SMG4's face. The meme man was smiling in an odd manner, he seemed a little... too excited to say the least. Perhaps he was having certain ideas, hopefully it was a good idea.
"This is only the beginning." SMG4 remarked, "If people want quality, what if... I made the best video ever?!"
He instantly started typing at the computer in an excited manner, eyes wide and fingers flying at the keyboard as SMG4 rambled excitedly. But SMG3 could make out one clear sentence as SMG4 said it in an almost eerie manner; "It's gotta be perfect!"
At this point, SMG3 was pretty much done. He grabbed his phone and dialed a number. "Yo, I'm done here, can you pick me up?" He said to the one he was calling.
Just seconds later, the roof exploded and Mr. Yeast came down on a rope, grabbed SMG3 and declared that he would donate millions of dollars to the people he would abduct. And with that, he and SMG3 flew off in a UFO before the latter brought out a remote that returned him to the Internet Graveyard without a hint of trouble.
Meanwhile, back at the castle, SMG4 was typing manically at his computer, writing out the script for his perfect video in an excited manner until he remarked he couldn't put anything inappropriate in there and shouted in slight frustration.
-A few days later-
It was a normal and peaceful afternoon in the Mushroom Kingdom without anything for anyone to worry about, people seemed to be in a good mood and so was SMG4.
The meme man entered his room in Peach's Castle, carrying snacks and power drinks as he made his way towards his computer where he'd begun work on a perfect video.
Since SMG3 had helped him, SMG4 had been brainstorming his new video like wild. But he couldn't start working without food and drinks, there was no working on an empty stomach or without energy.
"Okay, I'm restocked and ready..." SMG4 said, activating his computer, "This is my big year and I'M GOING TO MAKE THE BEST VIDEO EVER!"
He sipped an energy drink and threw the can away, then he turned on his computer and booted up his video-making software. SMG4 got to work, crafting scenes and splicing them together while figuring out what characters go where and how perfect he wanted it to be.
There would be no flaws, he was going to go ALL out without a sign of trouble. SMG4 whooped excitedly, he was having so much fun as usual. But he never forgot the memes, even though he wouldn't need much memes for the video. Either way, his video was going to be a hit and he hoped people would love it all.
But first, he needed it to be perfect.
'It's gotta be perfect.' He thought, then he spoke out, "Yes, it's going to be perfect. It's gotta be perfect, can't do anything without perfection. So, let's get this one to 100%, baby! YEAH!"
As he continued working, he made sure to text the people he knew, letting them know he was working on something special. And in seconds, the hype exploded across Twitter with people anticipating the big project SMG4 was making while wishing him luck and hoping that he would be alright.
Oh, and if only they had all known what was coming...
