Chamberlain and his new wife were soon under way out the door to Ha'rar. She was looking forward to getting out of the castle for a while. Sil liked staying here in the castle but would get out occasionally. Right now, it was a temporary thing while his mate was being punished and they were on a 'honeymoon.' Sil had been out of the castle usually only for a few days at a time, not a fortnight.

She had been amazed at how the carriage felt to be lifted off the castle floor by the Armalings. There were a few Gelfling guards that accompanied them on the carriage ride to Ha'rar. While Sil and the girl were in the carriage, she asked her husband, "So, how are these tithing ceremonies handled?"

"Usually Scroll Keeper and Collector go do it, but Chamberlain has handled before. Gelflings of all clans bring food or things they make and give to us as payments for their rule over them. Do humans not do tithes on your planet?" Sil asked.

"That might have been what it was a long time ago before my kind invented a system called money. But we also still gave each other things, but usually more for loved ones as gifts on special holidays and birthdays." She explained.

"Hmmm, Chamberlain sees." Sil said. "What this money look like?"

"We had it all over the world, but it depended on what culture on what it looked like cause it all looked different in different cultures. But where I was from, North America, it was green paper. There were different amounts and we had different leaders on them from the past that are long dead. Different presidents as we called our leaders." She went on to explain the different amounts on the bills.

"Hmmm. Interesting." Sil stated.

"If only it would be treated as just the trade item that it is and nothing more. Money was often treated more valuable than someone else's life. No amount of money would ever be able to bring someone back from the dead." She explained.

"So, humans wouldn't care about Skeksis lives?"

"If you came there and were paid to kill you if they saw you as dangerous, yes, that's precisely what I mean. Given you aren't one our Earth's creatures, the scientific ones would want you alive for experiments rather. Even if you could come to Earth to see it, you would have to be wary about who you could trust." She proclaimed. "Humans can't even trust each other."

"Same with Skeksis. But good I not come to your Earth." Sil declared.

"Yeah. Better that you are here."

The carriage ride soon ended with them having arrived in Ha'rar. The girl was glad she was wearing heavy Skeksis robing as she could feel the cold air through the windows. She let Sil get out first, following by her.

The first guard led them inside the palace. "Wow! This is a nice palace." The girl whispered.

"Hmm yes." Sil replied.

The ceilings were lower here than at the castle but it was all due to it being Gelfling quarters. They soon arrived to the Gelfling throne room where the All-Maudra was waiting for them. She had four daughters in there with her to greet them.

"I present the lord of the Crystal and his ladyship." The guard announced.

"This is a great honor to meet the one that has married one of the lords of the Crystal." The Maudra complimented the girl. She bowed before her.

"Thank you, All-Maudra." The girl replied. "So, what happens now?"

"You and your Lord stand up here to my right. Then the other Gelflings bring in their tithes for the trine. Some will be good and others not so good." The Maudra explained.

Sil and the girl took their spots on the Maudra's right hand side by her throne. The tithing would begin soon.

Soon, the tithing ceremony was in full swing. A long line had formed in the throne room with each Gelfling presenting something they had made like blankets or carpets, or food from their crops.

The girl was fascinated by all this. Chamberlain had a lot of patience to be dealing with this. She was taking mental notes from all this. It seemed to take forever though. Most of the tithes were good but there were occasional ones that required more than what was offered. The girl could understand like it wasn't enough, like on Earth when a smaller bill wasn't enough if it didn't match or go above the original bill of sale.

But all the supplies would have to be loaded into the carriage before they could take it back to the castle. They would take it back, then Sil and her would leave again.

When it was over and the last Gelfling payer was gone, the girl asked Sil, "Can we take a tour around the village? I would very much like to see it."

"You mean on foot?" Sil asked.

"Hmmm, okay. Must come up with new way to spend time away from castle." Sil replied. He knew he would need shoes before walking around on that cold ground. Ha'rar was one of the places where the Skeksis would wear shoes to protect their feet from the cold ground.

There was an inn in the city further down the path. The Armalings and carriage were allowed to rest just outside the gates of the palace while Sil and his girl went walking and exploring the village. The guards accompanied them but kept their distance from the lord and lady.

It was a very beautiful village. Quite a huge one too.

"Vapra most cultured of all Gelfling. That why we have them be ones that represent Skeksis the most." Sil explained on the way.

"Cool." She replied.

They soon found that inn and went inside. There, they found a table that was set aside strictly for Skeksis lords. The servers were more than thrilled to be serving Sil and his girl. The whole village had known about the marriage ceremony.

They both got some food and even wanted a room to stay in for the night, as it was getting late. It wouldn't be till tomorrow anyway that they would make it back to the castle. The tithes had to be put on the carriage anyway. Guards called paladins were taking care of that business back at the palace, loading the tithes into the carriage for transport tomorrow.

After Sil and the girl were done eating, they were ready to call it a night. They were given a very special guestroom in the inn. It was also one of two rooms for Skeksis lords. The innkeeper offered both of them each a room, but it was not to be. As mates, they stayed together, Chamberlain made that clear to him, making the innkeeper a tad nervous.

Once in the room, the girl had a look around. There was a bed, a couple of chairs and a desk in there. A mirror too.

"So, what Human think of tithing ceremony?" Sil asked her.

"It was definitely fascinating and interesting. It was nice to see what they made versus seeing money like back home. And we get to go home with them tomorrow." She smiled.

"Yes. Want to do deed?" Sil asked.

"Here?"

"Yes. Got private room." He stated.

"Okay."

There was more undressing and Sil was soon inside his mate, thrusting wildly. She was doing her best not to scream. Sil was definitely aroused right now. He made love to her with all his members inside her one at a time. He also marked her with his teeth. He came inside her every time. She also would hold onto him, giving him the encouragement.

Mating with a Skeksis sure felt strange but it was what they wanted to do with each other. They would likely be doing lots of it too while on their 'honeymoon.'
