Time jump:
"Dad?" Allison poked her head into the office, not sure if her father was busy or not.
"What is it mija?" Looking up from his papers, he gestured for her to come in. "Shouldn't you be getting ready for school?"
"I was but Elliot and Amanda are here to see you." Her eyes turned to find Olivia sleeping on his couch. "Really?"
"What?" He glanced over at the woman. "She had a busy night, with helping getting Jack back and everything else."
Bending down to pick up the rose-pink dress shirt, she tossed it over to him. "And that would explain why are you shirtless how?"
He couldn't help the smile that appeared on his lips. "We'll talk about that later." Slipping the shirt on he suddenly frowned. "Send the two of them in please and get to school."
"Yeah. Yeah." Walking around to kiss him on the cheek, she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him. "I like her."
Placing his hand on her arm, he turned to her with a smile. "So do I."
"Just promise me something." She whispered.
"What?"
"Don't let her get hurt." Allison muttered.
Barba saw the pain flash in her eyes. Reaching for her neck he pulled her down and kissed her forehead. "I failed you once. Never again."
Walking over to Olivia she kissed the woman on the cheek. "I'll let them in."
Elliot had been preparing for anything since he woke up. What he didn't expect was to find Olivia asleep on the couch. Much less to see her dressed in Rafael's shirt. He had many scenarios crossing his mind at that moment. Had she slept with him? Maybe she spilled something and had to change? That would explain why she's in his shirt. But not why Rafael's shirt was open. Scanning the room he searched for any clue as to what happened. No, Olivia wouldn't be as insane to have sex with the guy in his office.
"What can I do for you two?" Rafael stood from the chair to button up his shirt. "It's a little early for a work call isn't it?"
"We heard you got the product back." Amanda stated.
Rafael frowned tilting his head to the side. "Heard? From who?"
"People talk." Elliot replied. "You honestly thought your stunt wouldn't be known?"
Amanda tossed him a look to reel it in. "It wasn't hard to figure out. The product is taken from police custody and suddenly there is talk about selling to the highest bidder."
"I don't know who pulled that heist. It wasn't me or any of my men." Taking a seat once more he gestures they do the same. "But you are correct about selling to the highest bidder. I have a few buyers coming this afternoon."
"What about us?" Elliot asked. "You agreed to let us distribute the product. You can't back out now."
Pinning the man with a glare, Rafael took in a few breaths to calm himself. "I don't break business deals. You will still get your cut as well as distribute some product for me." Opening the side drawer he pulled an envelope out and tossed it onto the table. "I have a shipment coming tonight. You will meet Manuel and Luis at the docks. They will join you in ensuring we get what we paid for. Any issues you walk away. Leave no witness or evidence you were ever there."
Amanda grabbed the envelope, finding it filled with cash. "What's this?"
"Half of what you're getting paid for this run." He leaned forward. "I expect for this to go as planned."
"Things happen." Amanda muttered mostly to herself. "We can't control everything."
"Of course, but I am not willing to risk it." Barba pulled out another yellow envelope, handing it to Elliot. "These are the two bringing in the shipment."
Elliot pulled the photo's out showing them to Amanda. "When you said to leave no witnesses or evi-"
"Means exactly that." Barba cut him off, freezing at seeing Olivia stir. "Should anything go wrong, you leave nothing behind."
Slamming the file back on the table, he rested his palms on the desk with a slight growl. "We are not your cleanup crew. We are not killers. You want blood, take it yourself."
"Keep your voice down." Barba growled back at him, his eyes darting to Olivia. "I never said it was you that had to pull the trigger. There will be two more men with you. If need be, they know what to do. Your job is only to grab the product and bring it here. That simple."
"Simple." Amanda nodded.
Standing up he walked over to Olivia. "If there isn't anything else, that will be all." Waiting until they turned to leave, he turned around to face Olivia. Crouching down Barba moved the strand of hair that draped across her face, running his knuckles down her cheekbone. "Liv?" He got no response. "Amor." That got him a slight stir. "Amor, wake up."
"Hmm?"
He chuckled at her attempt to follow his touch as he removed his hand. "Come on. You have to get up now."
"Too early." She muttered.
"It's 9 am." He whispered. "You have Damon's therapy at 12."
"I know." Opening her eyes, she was met with green ones. "Was it me or did I hear some voices?"
Giving her a quick kiss, he stood up. "Allison walked in, followed by Amanda and Elliot."
That caught her attention. "What were they doing here?"
"They will be receiving the shipment that comes in tonight." He spoke dismissively.
Sitting up she bit her lower lip. "Will I be going?"
Babra stopped what he was doing to face her. "Do you want to?"
"Well, I am vouching for them, aren't I?"
He had a feeling about tonight's shipment. If what he believed was right, then tonight would be hell-breaking. "Very well, you want to join them okay." Barba wasn't sure why he was suddenly feeling upset. But the thought of her being close to Elliot was not something he liked to think about. "Liv?"
"Yeah?"
'Why did you lie about Elliot?' That was what he wanted to ask, instead, he went with. "Anything goes wrong tonight, you run."
"Rafa?"
"If you can't, you have someone get ahold of me." Grabbing the back of her neck, he pulled her in for a kiss. "Do you understand?"
"Understood."
