'Understood.'

'Was this what he meant by something going wrong?' Olivia flinched at the cold iron wrapping around her wrist. Looking over her shoulder she glared at the young cop patting her down. Turning to face forward she took in the scene in front of her.

Elliot and Amanda were in the same position as she was. The shipment crates were being carried out of the container and placed on the dock. Cops swarmed the area and more still coming in. Her captain and Chapel were overseeing the whole operation. A loud yell to the right caught her attention. Manuel one of Barba's men was kicked and beaten to the ground. Three officers jumped him while the man was cuffed and yelled for them to stop.

Olivia struggled against her hold wanting to put a stop to it. Meeting the eyes of her captain she was surprised when he simply looked away. In a burst of anger, she raised her foot and kicked the officer holding her down. Getting him to loosen her hold, Olivia shouldered him back and ran to Manuel. She had been able to push all three off him, before being shoved against the side of the car. In seconds she was turned and struck across the face.

"Hands off her!" Elliot yelled from across the parking attempting to get the gorilla of a man off him.

And still Craigen nor Chapel made a move to stop them.

Olivia closed her eyes as the officer raised his hand once more.

"Do it."

She'd know that voice anywhere. A voice that haunted even her dreams. Fluttering her eyes open, the first thing she saw was the officer's look of fear. Then the gun pointed at his head and the hand holding it. She had come to memorize those hands like her own. The veins popped due to the strain in which he held the gun. The final thing she noticed was his eyes. His usual calm meadow green eyes were raging mad.

"Lay a hand on her again and they will be picking pieces of your brain off the car." Barba pressed the cold iron to the officer's head. "Take the cuffs off."

Olivia looked around wondering why no one had stepped in to stop Barba. 'That's why.' Angelico's surrounded the docks. Some stood on top of the containers, aiming down at them. The rest stood behind the officers ordering them to stand against the wall. Javier was taking care of Elliot and Amanda, getting them free and ushering the two towards Her and Barba.

"Kneel." Waiting for the officer to do as told, he slapped him across the face with the butt of the gun. Olivia winced, but she didn't feel bad for him. The bastard did slap her across the face. "Let me see." Grabbing her chin he turned her head to the side.

She hissed at his thumb grazing over her bruised cheek. "It's sore."

His eyes glared at the mark. "I should have moved quicker."

"I'm fine." She assured him, placing her hand over his. "Really."

"Why didn't you call me." He sounded hurt.

Pushing his hand away, she gestured to everything around her. "I wasn't given enough time. They were on us before we knew what happened." She trembled at the cold wind coming in.

"I know." Shrugging off his coat, he wrapped it around her.

She turned to him with a frown. "You know? What's that supposed to mean?" The look she got sent chills down her spine. "Rafa?"

Ignoring her call, he stalked towards Chapel and Craigen. "Gentlemen, why am I not surprised to see you here."

Chapel pulled out his cuffs, walking around Barba with a smirk. "Rafael Barba you are under arrest."

He allowed the cuffs to be placed on him. "On what charges?"

"Trafficking and assault with a deadly weapon for starters." Chapel had a smug smile on his lips. Clearly thinking he had finally caught the man. Olivia wondered how this guy ever become a captain. The smile dropped at hearing the man chuckle.

"I don't understand what your obsession is with me." Barba grinned. "Those charges will never stick."

"Why's that?" Craigen asked.

"I am not the one aiming a gun at you or your men." He gestured to his men. "Secondly the only crime I have committed is importing art."

Chapel's eyes widen. "Open the crates!" One of the officers grabbed an iron bar, popping the crate open. To their surprise, they found only vases and other art items. Chapel had all the crates open becoming angry with each find. "It's the vases themselves isn't it?" Letting one drop he growled at finding them empty.

"That's a 200,000 dollar vase!" Barba yelled.

Chapel stepped on the pieces, grinding them into the floor. "You can bill the department."

Olivia walked over to Craigen holding her hand out. "The key."

"He isn't going anywhere." Chapel stepped into her personal space, only to be pushed back by Elliot.

"You and your officers came barging in here without any probable cause. You attacked a cuffed unarmed man." Olivia stood nose to nose with the man. "And if I remember correctly you have a court order signed by a judge to stay away from the Barba family." Turning her gaze to Craigen she repeated the request.

"Now that this has been settled, I'd appreciate it if you and your officers left." Barba ran his hand over the angry skin of his wrist. He was sure the mark would be there for a few days.

Craigen knew when he was beaten. "Pack it up!"

Barba stood his ground as the officer climbed into their vehicles and one by one drove out. The men walked along the edge of the containers, making sure none of them got any bright ideas.

"You got lucky this time Rafael." Chapel gave them a smile. "But that luck will run out and when it does I'll be there."

"You really should talk to someone about that obsession, Chapel." Barba tried sounding concerned for effect. "Not a healthy way to live."

"How did you know?" Olivia asked once the officers had cleared out.

Barba held up his phone. "Luiz called as soon as he heard the sirens." Turning to her, he examined her bruise. "We need to get some ice on that."

"I've had worse." Her mind wandered back to Lewis. "I can handle a slap." Cupping her jaw, he stared at her for a moment before pulling her into a hug. "Rafa?"

Shaking his head he pulled himself away. "Let's get this cleaned up. Javier?!"

"Here."

"Have a few of the boys stay behind and clean this mess." Barba ordered. "Elliot and Amanda, come back to the house." Not letting them decline the not-so-much of an offer, he led Olivia to the waiting SUV.

Something was off.

Time jump:

Elliot nursed the drink in front of him. Barba had ordered them to stay in the bar room. Something was going on that had everyone on edge. When they arrived, Amanda and he were practically shoved into the room. There were a few of Barba's men guarding the doors, but no one spoke.

"What the hell is going on, Liv?" Elliot was tired of the silence. "Why are we in here?"

Olivia raised a brow at the tone he was using on her. "I don't know."

"You're the one sleeping with him no?" He spat the words. "Isn't that the main reason you are? To know his every step?"

Olivia was getting fed up with his behavior. Elliot was acting like a toddler throwing a tantrum over a toy. "Sit down and shut up Elliot."

He narrowed his eyes at her, his brows knitting. "Is there another reason as to why you're sleeping with him?"

"Are you drunk?" Olivia's eyes darted to the men guarding the doors. "Amanda come get your partner. It appears the drinks have gone to his head."

Barba walked in with a handful of his men. Javier escorted Hernan into the room, shoving him toward Elliot and Amanda. Stepping around the bar, he grabbed a glass cup and a bottle of scotch. "What exactly happened tonight?" Grabbing three cubes of ice he tossed the into the cup and poured the golden brown liquid.

Olivia bit her lower lip, rolling her eyes at seeing the others make no move in answering. "We arrived at 7 on the dot. Met with Manuel and Luiz by the gate. We had just opened the container when they swarmed us."

Handing her his drink, he leaned back against the bar. "Did anyone here speak about this shipment?"

"Spe-" Elliot blurted out laughing. "You think one of us ratted you out to the cops?"

"Not think." Barba replied. "I know. No one knew of the shipment."

"We didn't say anything." Amanda assured him.

"Somehow they got word." Barba retorted. "I sure as hell didn't rat on myself." His eyes fell on Elliot. "Slip of the tongue maybe?"

"We didn't rat you out." Elliot gritted his teeth. "What I do want to know is why send us out if there wasn't any shipment?"

"Use that head of yours." Barba chuckled. "What other reason would I?"

"This was a test." Amanda scoffed. "You already knew."

He nodded. "I was aware of someone giving the cops information, just had to narrow it down." Looking over at Javier he jerked his head.

Olivia gasped as Elliot, Amanda and Hernan were pushed to their knees. "Rafa, you can't seriously be thinking they had anything to do with this?"

"They were the only three apart from us that knew of the time and date."

"What about her?" Hernan pointed an accusing finger at Olivia. "She knew every detail we knew."

"Olivia was with me the entire night." Barba jumped to her defense. "I'll give one last chance, who talked to the cops." Getting no response, he pulled his gun out and aimed it at Elliot.

"Rafa." Olivia's voice was strained, as she prepared herself to attack him if need be.

Keep his eyes on Elliot he turned the gun on Hernan. "Whoa! Rafael, wh-what are you doing?"

"You came to me knowing I had a bounty over your head, asking for a second chance." Walking over to him, he crouched down to his level. "I give you that second chance and what's the first thing you do?" Holding his phone up he showed pictures of Hernan speaking with Craigen and Chapel.

"Rafa, I assure you it's not what it looks like." Hernan cried. "They already knew! They ambushed me in the corner and were asking a bunch of weird questions! I swear that was all it was!"

Barba heard the truth in his voice, yet he didn't believe the boy. "Javier, take him to the house. I'll be there shortly."

"Rafael please!" Hernan tried to wiggle himself out of the hands holding him. He managed to do so, falling against the bar. "Porfavor, hear me out! They set me up!"

Rolling his eyes at Hernan pushing a few items off the bar, Barba reached for the back of his shirt and dragged him out. "Get him out of here!"

"No! Please Rafael!"

Olivia cringed at the cries from the man. His words kept ringing in her mind. 'They set me up.' Who set him up? Why?

"You knew it was him all along?" Elliot got up to his feet, helping Amanda do the same. "Then why get us on our knees and point a gun at my face?!"

"Added effect." He shrugged.

Before Elliot could retaliate, Amanda jumped in. "Where is the real shipment?"

Walking over to the ice bucket, he dropped a few cubes into a towel. Wrapping it up he motioned for Olivia to sit down. "While Chapel was busy making a fool of himself, the shipment was brought in at another dock. It has been sent to the warehouse and from there it will be sent out." Tilting her head to the side, he placed the towel against the bruised jaw. "When that is done it will be your job to get it sold. There is some ointment in the bathroom that will help the swelling go down." Waiting for her to be out of earshot, he turned to the duo. "That will be all."

Elliot was pulled out of the office by Amanda, who was also warning him to control his temper. "You need to control yourself around Barba. Had Craigen not set that meeting up, you'd be dead. He's getting suspicious of you. It doesn't help that Barba got his hands on those photos."

"It'll teach him that Olivia was-is mine."

"Olivia is not an object to be claimed." Amanda snapped. "She hears you talk like that about her and she'll be the one putting a bullet on your head."

Barba sent a quick text as Olivia stepped back into the bar. 'I want that cop dead.'

"They leave?"

"Yes."

"Did you have to threaten Elliot with a gun?"

He knew this was coming. "Yes."

"Why?"

"What's he really to you?" He was starting to get fed up with this. "I'm aware he was more than an old friend."

"We went out a few times, never went past that. I care for him." She wasn't lying. Not completely. But no point in letting him know the full story.

"Right, well I have a rat problem I need to deal with." Giving her a quick kiss, he was stopped by her hand on his. "Let me come."

That was a shock. "What?"

"I want to go."

"No, you don't."

"Yes, I do."

Crouching down, he shook his head. "I have allowed you into most of my doings. But this is one I will not give into." Not waiting on her probably convincing method, he walked out.

Barba was open to letting her run some aspects of the business. He had already spoken to Javier about letting her, run the collective group. He wanted to see how she handled herself with the people. Apart from earning the love and respect of the barrio, they also needed to fear you. He was open to all that, but when it came to the house, he refused. He wasn't about to let her dirty her hands with this.

Time jump: Next morning

Walking into the café she spotted Nick and Fin. Standing in line for a coffee, she glanced around. "Luiz, can you do me a favor?"

"What do you need?" Rafael always insisted on her taking a man whenever she left the manor. When asked why he replied with 'Humor me'.

Grabbing some cash from her bag, she handed it over to him. "Can you head to that store and pick up Allison's dress? This is going to take a while." Not thinking much of it, he did as ordered. Slipping out of the line, she walked over to her teammates. "Don't have much time."

"How are you?" Nick asked pulling her into a quick hug.

Olivia shrugged taking a seat. "Been better."

"Elliot told us about last night." Fin handed her a cup of coffee. "Barba bought the photos of Hernan?"

"So it's true?" She quirked a brow. "Hernan was set up?"

Nick sighed. "He was. Chapel had one of his men take pictures of them talking."

"That trick cost a man his life." Olivia couldn't believe Craigen would go along with this. "Does the captain know?" Their silence was her answer. Then again, Craigen did nothing when she was struck. "This is getting out of hand."

"They are getting impatient Liv." Fin knew that would just fuel her even more, but she needed to know. Make her aware of things turning south ahead of time. "They think we are moving too slow."

"Slow?" She scoffed. "We have stopped countless shipments. Arrested dozen of his men. Infiltrated his organization and family. What they tried doing for years, we have done In months."

"Hey, it's us you're talking to." Nick placed a hand on her shoulder. "We know and we get it. Craigen is telling them the same thing, but they want a major bust. Something that will hurt Barba. Make him sloppy and allow him to fall into their arms."

Olivia shook her head. "Like what? We tried taking the fish scale and he simply got more." She was aware the team didn't know about their involvement with the heist. "You want another shipment bust? The Fish Scale needs to be gone."

Nick's phone chirped alerting him of a message. "We can start with this."

Olivia glanced at the phone only to gasp slightly. "When?"

"He was just found dead." Fin read off his own phone. "Liv, wasn't he the one that hit you?"

"Yeah." Olivia but her lower lip not sure what to think. "Rafael doesn't go after cops. Refuses to bring that kind of heat over the family."

"Who else?" Nick asked. "We all saw the reaction he had. Nearly blew the guy's brains out in front of the LAPD." Another chirp from his phone sounded. "A warrant for his arrest has just been issued."

"Shit." Olivia jumped from her seat. "I have to get home. Be there and see what I can get. I don't want Allison anywhere near that."

Running out of the coffee shop. She kept muttering that she was worried for Allison. Worried she might miss something crucial for the case. But in reality, she knew why she was worried.

Fin's eyes followed her retreating form. "Did she just say home?"

Time Jump:

Arriving at the manor she reached the front steps just as a cruiser pulled up to the gate. "Luis."

"Yes ma'am?"

"Gather the men, I want everything that can be used against Rafael gone. Load it into one of the SUVs and take it to the warehouse. Have two men take Allison away from here, anywhere she wants to go. Send me a message as soon as you are done. Entiendes?" She eyed Chapel as he tapped on the gate with a smug grin. Luis took off without a word. Taking her time, she walked down to the gate. Standing on the other side, she glared at the man with crossed arms. "What can I do for you gentlemen?" More cruisers pulled up by the second closing off the street.

"We have a warrant for Rafael Barba's arrest." Chapel held up the paperwork. "Would you be so kind as to let us in?"

Holding her hand out, she grabbed the paper. "Says here this is for his arrest."

"I just said that."

"Only for his arrest." Olivia emphasized the only part. "So, you can wait for him outside the property."

"We have the right to search th-"

"You don't actually. Rafael isn't home right now, therefore you are not allowed to step foot in here." Leaning in closer she smirked at seeing his Smug look drop. "You want to come in? Bring a search warrant."

"Open the gate." Craigen walked into his detective's view. "We must ensure Mr. Barba is not inside the premises."

Olivia quirked a brow giving him a soft scoff. "I don't know how you operate here, but unless you have a search warrant you will no-" Feeling her phone vibrate in her side pocket, she clicked her tongue. "You know what? We have nothing to hide." As she gestured for one of the men to open the gate, three blacked-out SUVs drove behind the cop cars. "I suggest you keep your search to only Rafael. Anything you think you find, can not be used against him." Stopping them from stepping forward, she waved over a group of guards. "Follow the detectives on their search for Rafael. The moment they divert from that, the search is over. Understood?"

"Yes ma'am."

Not bothering to wait for them, she walked back up the stairs and into the house. Making sure alma and the rest of the staff knew not to bother the cops, she took a seat on the patio outside. Alma walked out into the patio handing Olivia a cup of coffee.

"They are aware that Barba isn't here right?" She whispered.

Olivia chuckled. "They like to believe they have the upper hand. They took Allison?"

"Si." Alma straighten her back as Craigen walked over to them. "I am going to get dinner started. Should I still set a place for Rafael at the table?"

"Yes." Olivia's eyes stayed on her captain's glare. "Rafael will be home for dinner tonight."

"Very well."

"The man is being charged with murder." Craigen spoke. "Might not be the ending we were looking for, but it will finally put an ending to this."

"You're speaking as if it's a done deal." Olivia placed the mug on the table, leaning closer. "What are you doing?"

"Me?" Craigen frowned. "What are you trying to say?"

"Not trying." Standing up she pulled the photo up. "You go along with setting up an innocent man, causing his probable death. Look the other way as an unarmed man is attacked. When we took this, we agreed to do this the right way. We knew this would take time, it's not something that can be done in a matter of days. This takes time."

"Our job is to bring him in. Get him off the street." Craigen snapped.

"My job is to bring it all down." Olivia retorted. "We take him out and his next of kin will just take over."

"Enough Olivia." Craigen snapped. "This ends now."

"Captain Craigen, to what do I owe this invasion of my home?" Barba walked into the living room, his lawyer trailing behind him.

"Rafael Barba, we have a warrant for your arrest." He practically shoved the warrant into the lawyer's face. "You need to come with us."

"Of course." Barba placed his hands behind his back, tossing Olivia a carefree smile. "Call Javier he knows what to do in this situation."

"Okay."

"If the kids ask, I was pulled away for an emergency." Ignoring the officer handcuffing him, he walked over to her and pulled her into a deep kiss. "I'll be home by dinner."

Chapel pulled him back, growling close to his ear. "Don't bet on it."
