Maisie was wandering around the manor, looking for Tobi. She hasn't seen him since she woke up for breakfast, or during her lessons. She couldn't even find Ripper when she came to visit him in his den. She asked her fairy friends if they saw him. Sadly, they didn't see him because they went back home to the fairyland. Maisie began to wonder where both Tobi and Ripper are. Maisie continues her search for her brother and Indoraptor, but as she enters the museum room, she notices someone coming in. Quickly hiding behind a skeleton display of a Protoceratops. There, she saw a strange man coming in, looking around the display with a bored expression on his face before going through his phone. Maisie looks at him secretly, wondering if he's the guest that Victoria mentioned yesterday. She then spotted Eli coming in at the door as she watched him interact with the man.
"Mr. Eversoll," Eli gives him a friendly smile, "It's a pleasure to meet you in person after all this time. How are you?"
Eversoll raises a hand, "Excuse me."
"Yeah?"
"Where are the dinosaurs?" Eversoll asked Eli with a dull expression. "Uberto told me you're selling dinosaurs."
"The dinosaurs are on their way." Eli assures him.
"Oh, so, am I supposed to sell these ones?" Eversoll asked sarcastically, pointing at the wax figurine of a dinosaur in front of him. "Uberto promised me real, breathing, dinosaurs. Not cheap knock-offs."
"You don't need to worry, okay? They will be here tonight." Eli assures Eversoll the best way he can.
"I don't really work with amateurs, so I'm gonna contact my buyers and call this off." Eversoll said sternly and was about to call his buyers, until Eli stopped him.
"They will be here tonight, and your buyers won't be disappointed." Eli said, trying to stop Eversoll from calling the buyers to end things. "Trust me, whatever their interest, agricultural, industrial, sport hunting, we will have something to suit them. Eleven species, each with unique biopharmaceutical properties. I estimate four million per species."
Eversoll turns to him with a scoff, "Four million is a slow Tuesday where I'm from." Eversoll said, shaking his head, "You're wasting my time."
"You ever made 100 million on a Tuesday?" Eli questions him, earning a sarcastic laugh from Eversoll. "Huh? All this is in the past. I wanna talk to you about the future."
This caught Eversoll's attention, his curiosity growing as he wondered what Eli meant, "I'll give you 10 minutes." He finally said to Eli.
Eli guides Eversoll to a wall that has a hidden elevator that only he, Victoria, and Uberto could access. Maisie watched from her hiding spot, curious about what they were doing, and wondering why they were selling dinosaurs. Shouldn't they be saving them?
"The whole point of selling the lsla Nublar dinosaurs is to finance our future operations here. It's, uh, seed money." Eli explains, heading towards a keypad on the wall. "Call it an overture to something much more ambitious."
"Yeah, and more lucrative, I guess." Eversoll said to Eli.
"Right, we've reactivated the old facilities, updated the technology, and imported the best geneticists from around the world." Eli continues his explanation while typing the code on the tab. He wasn't aware of Maisie watching them, and memorizing the code. "This operation has been many years in the planning. Genetic power is an uncharted frontier. The potential for growth is more than you can fathom."
Soon, a hidden door opens right in front of them, allowing both Eli and Eversoll to enter as the door closes behind them, leaving a stunned Maisie.
The young girl was confused; she wonders why Eli is selling dinosaurs to this strange man? The dinosaurs are transported to Isla Nublar by the people of Jurassic World and S.H.I.E.L.D. If Eli attempted to steal those dinosaurs, surely he would get himself in trouble. Searching for Tobi and Ripper will have to wait, she had to tell her grandpa about this. Rushing out from her hiding spot, Maisie went straight to her grandpa's room. As she left, the elevator brought the two men to a secret laboratory, where some scientists, including Dr. Victoria Fusion, were there, working on some projects. In which case, cloning dinosaurs. Eversoll was impressed by this, clearly underestimating the potential Eli has for this business.
"This way, please." Eli gestures to a room that was close by. Eversoll follows Eli through the railings and towards the room, "If the entire run of our sorry history has taught us one irrevocable lesson, it's that man is inevitably drawn to war and is willing to use any means necessary to win it."
Eversoll stops at his tracks, looking at Eli in disbelief, "You're gonna weaponize them?"
Eli turns to him with an amused look, "We've been using animals in combat for centuries. Horses, elephants." Eli opens the door to a room, filled with scientific tech and tools, "The Soviets used disease-bearing rats against the Germans at Stalingrad."
Eli then presses a button to dim the lights while Eversoll simply nods at his explanation, "Yes, yes."
"Our geneticists have created a direct descendant of Uberto's father's masterpiece, the animal that can take down other dinosaurs." Eli shows him the computerized table with a holographic image of a hybrid dinosaur. "The Mortiferous Raptor. Her DNA was retrieved by Uberto, allowing us to form the architecture of a completely new creature. Every bone and muscle designed for hunting and killing. And thanks to Dr. Fusion's research, it follows human commands. We call it the lndoraptor."
The hologram shows the complete structure of Ripper's body structure. Eversoll awed at the sight before him. Knowing that this dinosaur right here will be the new source of income.
"Are there more like him?" Eversoll questions Eli, curious and greedy about this hybrid.
Eli beams in satisfaction and changes the holographic screen with eight more hybrids, "Yes, eight new hybrids, genetically made in this lab by Dr. Victoria Fusion. And of these eight is another Indoraptor, female, making her the younger sister of the original one." Eli explained the hybrids to him. "With her research, she was able to command them with the help of another experiment, Project Golem."
Eversoll looked at him in confusion, "Project what now?"
"Project Golem." Eli shows him the image of a four arms monster, "He was created by Mortem to be used as a war weapon, but he needed to be familiar with human presence. So, he was placed here, in Lockwood Manor, interacting with humans, and becoming one."
"I'm sorry...did you just say...becoming one?" Eversoll questions him in disbelief, "As in...can he become like a human?"
"Yes! Project Golem has powers that are beyond anything you can imagine." Eli said to Eversoll with great confidence, "He obeys any command and has powers beyond anything."
"Even beyond God?"
"Exactly. He can use half of his powers, but fully unlocked, his powers will show no limits. Anyone will do anything to have him. And the best part, they can control him with this." Eli took out a remote from his pocket, "This will allow the one to control Project Golem with no problem, and if Project Golem shows any signs on disobedient, this red button here will restart his program, and will return back to his obedient self."
Eversoll looked at the image of the powerful creature. They're gonna make a lot of money with this one, "When will it be ready?"
"Tonight."
She carefully enters his room, the door slightly creaking, whispering out to Lockwood.
"Grandpa?" Maisie whispers, seeing her grandfather, hunching on his bed, fast asleep. She closed the door as she made her way to him, "Grandpa?"
She tries her best to call out to him softly while the machines attached to her grandfather were the only source of sounds in the room. Maisie was about to wake him until she noticed the picture album of her mother was there on his lap. Curiosity got the better of her, as she attempted to grab a picture from the album from her sleeping grandfather. However, when she almost pulled it out, her grandfather began to stir and Maisie quickly withdrew herself from the album.
"Grandpa." Maisie gasped in surprise at her grandfather's sudden awakening.
Lockwood looks at his precious granddaughter in confusion yet concerned in his old eyes, "Maisie, what are you doing here? Why aren't you with Tobi or Ripper?" He asked Maisie.
Maisie immediately answered to him, "I was searching for them, Grandpa. Then I saw a man here today with Mr. Mills."
"It was probably just some business about the sanctuary. That's all." Lockwood assures her.
"But I heard them talking." Maisie interjects, looking at her grandfather worriedly, "They're going to sell the dinosaurs that they took from Isla Nublar! They're bringing them here tonight." She informs her grandfather in a worried tone.
However, Lockwood didn't believe his granddaughter, thinking that she was overacting, "I'm sure you misunderstood."
"I know what I heard, Grandpa." Maisie pouted at him.
"Maisie, it's getting late. Let's talk about this in the morning."
"But..."
"Maisie," Lockwood spoke sternly, surprising Maisie. He never sounded so strict to her before. "I'll find out tomorrow. Now, get ready for bed, I'm sure Tobi is already looking for you."
Disappointed, Maisie lowers her head in defeat before looking at her grandfather with visible sadness. "Good night, grandpa." She said softly to him before taking her leave.
"Good night, my heart." Lockwood said to her softly, watching her leave as she closed the door behind him. Leaving Lockwood to ponder in his thoughts.
Once Maisie closes the door, she lets out a huff of frustration. Her grandfather didn't believe, of course he didn't believe her. He thinks that she was playing around. If he doesn't get to the bottom of this, then she will. Maisie quickly rushes back to the museum area, and goes staring at the hidden door. She easily remembers the passcode for the door to open. As it opens, Maisie immediately enters it. She then proceeds pressing the button that will take her to where Eli and Eversoll took. She takes her pick by pressing the last button, and the elevator's doors close in front of her. Maisie waited patiently as the elevator took her to the last floor. The door opens, revealing a hidden facility under the Lockwood manor.
This was strange for Maisie. She had explored every nook and cranny of the manor with Tobi, but this...this was new, even for her. Maisie then proceeded to go to a nearby room. She was fortunate that there weren't any people inside. Maisie continues to wander around the room until she notices a video of Tobi. Maisie walked over to it and saw Tobi's true form. His beastly form is shown outside on the manor, using three of his arms to levitate big boulders around him while on his fourth arm was carrying a toddler Maisie. She was giggling whenever Tobi makes the boulders float with his telekinesis. Maisie smiles at this, remembering how Tobi always makes her happy. Whether be in his true form or human form. She then heard an unknown voice playing through the video log.
:Project Golem shows excessive care towards Project Gaia, forming a kinship along with the Indoraptor.: The video clip was replaced by Ripper, who is the same size as bobcat, running around a giggling toddler Maisie, :The Indoraptor shows protectiveness towards the young girl, seeing her as a pack mate and viewing Project Golem as the alpha.:
Maisie continues listening to the video, watching the next clip to see Ripper and Tobi, in his human form, were playing in the pool with five-year-old Maisie. The little girl was squealing in delight as she splashes around while Tobi holds her and Ripper swimming around them, chittering about.
:As the years go by, their bonds grow stronger. Both assets show unprecedented levels of compliance. Displaying levels of interest, concern, hyper-intelligence, cognitive bonding...the source of their bond lies within Project. However, due to their strong bond with the girl, they will not obey outside commands. In order to do so, I device an implant that will sever the bond. That way, both Project Golem and the Indoraptor will obey to a different master.:
Hearing this, Maisie became worried, wondering what is this man talking about, what does he want with Ripper and Tobi? So many questions were in her little head until she snapped out of it when she heard someone coming in. Maisie quickly took cover, hiding underneath the counters, as she heard two male voices, one was Eli Mills and the other was an unknown man.
"Mr. Wheatley is on schedule." The man said to Eli, entering the lab while Maisie hid under the counter. "They will arrive just in time before the auction."
"Good, everything's on schedule." Eli said, sounding relief.
Maisie quickly crawls away to the exit while the two men are busy talking about business. She quickly made her way to the stairs and went to the darkest part of the area. She hid behind some crates, waiting for the men to leave, so she could inform her grandpa about this. Suddenly, she heard something from behind her. Turning around, Maisie saw what appeared to be a cage. She saw something moving inside. Maisie squinted her eyes at the darkness of the cage, trying to see what was inside. Soon, a black snout peeks through the bars; letting out soft chitters.
Maisie gasped in shock at the sight before her. "Ripper!" She whispers, rushing to the bars, and gently strokes Ripper's snout, "I finally found you! I was so worried when you weren't in your pen." Maisie said in full relief. Ripper chittered softly, "What happened? How did you get here? And have you seen Tobi?"
Ripper started making chittering and grunting sounds, explaining to her what had just happened. From what he recalled, he was sleeping in his pen when he smelled something that made him fall asleep, and the next thing he knew; he found himself trapped in this small cramped prison. Furthermore, he hasn't seen Tobi either. He begins to worry if something happens to him and Maisie. Ripper tried to escape, but no matter how he tried, these still bars wouldn't budge.
"Don't worry, Ripper. I'll get you out of there." Maisie assures him.
However, as she attempted to find the switch that could open Ripper's prison, someone grabbed her from the back of her jacket. Maisie screams in fright while Ripper roars at the intruder, demanding him to let Maisie go. The man that was holding Maisie was the same one that was talking with Eli early. It was none other than Uberto Mortem. He was glaring at a terrified looking Maisie. And without warning, took out what appears to be a bracelet and strapped it on Maisie's wrist. A small red light came to it, locking itself to the Maisie. This bracelet prevents Maisie from using her powers, that way, she won't try any funny business.
"Lock her in her room, NOW!" Mortem orders Eli, throwing the young girl to him. Eli grabs Maisie, holding her by the arm as she struggles to break free.
"What's going on?! What are you doing to Ripper?! And where did you take Tobi?!" Maisie demanded, struggling to break free.
Eli didn't answer as he drags her out of the lab, ignoring her protest. She calls out to Ripper as the Indoraptor struggles to break free from his prison, trying to save Maisie. As Ripper roars at Eli dragging Maisie out, Victoria comes down the stairs to see the drama up fold.
"What is going on here?!" Victoria exclaims, shocked to see Maisie being dragged away.
"Victoria! They're going to sell the dinosaurs! They're going to sell Ripper!" Maisie yells before she and Eli enter the elevator.
Victoria's eyes widened in shock at this, "What?!" Victoria was about to follow them but was stopped by Uberto, "Mr. Mortem, what is the meaning of this?! What does Maisie mean by selling the dinosaurs!? Is this true?"
"I'm sorry to inform you of this, Dr. Fusion, but yes. We are selling the dinosaurs from Isla Nublar and the hybrids to the highest bidder."
"Are you insane?! Stealing dinosaurs from Jurassic World is a crime! Furthermore, my hybrids are not for sale!" Victoria exclaims in anger, "I agree to make them conduct research for hybridization and their adaptation of their form!"
"And your research will be put to the test when they are being sold to the richest people of the world." Uberto said before sternly looking at Victoria, "Now, do as you're told, or else Maisie will suffer the consequences."
Victoria glares back at him, she wants to protest but she fears for Maisie's safety. She knew that this job may have consequences, yet she was too blind to figure it out sooner, for she was tricked. She thought that they wanted to learn about hybridism, not selling them. And she had no choice but to obey. Otherwise, Maisie will get hurt because of her.
As Uberto and Victoria stayed down, Eli took Maisie to her room, particularly throwing her in. Lucky, she landed on the soft carpet, turning to Eli with a glare as he closed the door, locking it in place. He then faced Iris Carroll, who followed them after seeing Maisie being dragged to her room.
"Keep her in there and keep the door locked." Eli orders Carroll.
"You want to keep her locked in?" Carroll asked in shock. She knew Maisie could be a troublemaker, and often sent to her room if she misbehaves, but locking her up is a bit too much.
"That's exactly what I want." Eli said as he was about to go down the stairs to prepare for the event, but stopped by Carroll.
"Sir Benjamin needs to see you now." She announced to him, causing Eli to stop from his tracks, "I believe it's important."
The Arcadia docked at the destination. Many vehicles are loaded with dinosaurs, and headed straight to the Lockwood Manor. The mercenaries were checking the vehicles, inside and out, as well as inside the cargo of the dinosaurs, before letting them off. However, they failed to realize that Marco and Owen were inside the transportation of Rexy. Since Owen inherited the power of the animals, thanks to his niece, he can use any of their abilities, mostly the chameleon's camouflage to hide him and Marco within Rexy's cargo. They were lucky Rexy was still unconscious; the sedatives these mercenaries gave her must be strong to hold her down. The two men stayed quiet as the vehicle headed towards the manor, with many others that are loading up the dinos.
They needed to get to the rendezvous point to meet up with Silk and someone named Ms. Marvel (Kamala), along with the kids. Yes, I meant the Jurassic World Kids. Owen nearly got a heart attack when he learns that his nieces snuck aboard the ship without them noticing. He even refused to let them tag along, but Marco had to agree with Dark's plan, stating that they need their help to get the dinosaurs to calm down and get them out, in which Owen had no choice but to agree. Although they had to stick with the plan, they worried about Wu. The chief genetic scientist was taken to another vehicle, bringing him to the manor. They knew that Uberto wanted him to create more genetically cloned hybrid dinosaurs, and he might even need Archie as well. They just hope that Wu can handle them, who knows what Uberto has in store.
Once the vehicle reached their destination, the two men quickly got out of there, and headed to the forest, still camouflaged, and pinpoint their location for Dark and the others to find them. They just need them to infiltrate the auction house to get the evidence they need, and get all these dinosaurs out of here.
Because they could see the limos and fancy cars coming to the driveway.
Indicating that buyers are here early, and they want to get the first pick of their dinosaurs.
Now, to Dark and her team, they watched many fancy cars and limos coming in through the driveway of the manor. They could see rich and dangerous people from the Criminal Underworld and other corrupt businesses coming in like moths into a flame. Dark knew they were interested in the dinosaurs auctioning. And if the authorities catch up to them, their business will fall and all their assets will be confiscated.
"Look at them all." Spider-Man mutters under his breath.
"All this to buy a dinosaur?" Scarlet Spider asked, narrowing his eyes at the screen.
"From what I read, dinosaurs were known to be living weapons of the past." Iron Spider said, looking at the screen. "And I can see why."
"All right, people. Get to your positions!" Dark order, clasping her hands together, "Fury and the rest of the agents will be here soon. We have to get our position ready if we want to do this work. You know your positions?" Everyone agreed, making a Dark grin, "Okay then, let's move out!"
Everyone was ready to leave to go to their position. Dark, meanwhile, went over to Destiny. The blank-faced girl looked at her as Dark gave Destiny an order, "Destiny, I want you to go ahead and bring Sir. Lockwood and his granddaughter, bring them to the ship ASAP."
"Wait, why do you want to bring Lockwood and his granddaughter? Aren't they innocent or something?" Nova asked.
"Nova, Lockwood is the rightful owner of this manor and Maisie is still young." Spider-Man said, "And Mills is running this whole operation with Uberto; they're in danger along with his granddaughter."
"That's right, which is why we need to take them to safety. Also, I have a feeling that Sir. Lockwood is hiding something about his daughter's death." Dark said to the group.
"Why is that?" Cloak asked her.
"I have a feeling that Charlotte Lockwood didn't die in a car crash, and that Sir. Lockwood is hiding a secret about her and his granddaughter." Dark said in a suspicious tone.
"What do you think he's hiding?" Silk asked, curious about Lockwood's hidden secret.
"Not sure, but we'll find out eventually." Dark said before looking at the group, "Now, get a move on, we have a few hours before the auction starts."
"Right!" Everyone said in agreement.
They all prepared themselves while Dark and Spider-Man put on their Delilah and Pierre Quentin disguise (which earned laughs from the group, except for Destiny and Kendall, when they saw Spider-Man's get-up, much to his annoyance), and then they got into the limo that was being drive by a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent in disguise. The others got a head start to the manor. Silk, Kamal, Cornelia, Destiny, and the Jurassic World Kids with the hybrids were teleported by Aggie to the forest, heading to the rendezvous spot. Destiny disappeared and went to the manor to search for Lockwood and his niece.
The other heroes went to their designated area. The A Team stayed hidden in the front of the mansion, using a cloaking device Dark provided, and the B Team went to the back, observing the vehicles that were ready to transport the dinosaurs that the people bought. While the Spider Team snuck in the manor, heading towards the auction room, ready for anything.
While they are in position, Destiny searches for Lockwood and Maisie. She wanders through the hall of the manor, easily avoiding the guards like a ghost. She sniffs the air to find the scent of the two people that she was tasked to find, only to hear the old man close by. Destiny follows it towards the other side of the hall, where she comes to a door. She could sense Lockwood inside, along with Eli.
"Did you really think you could get away with it? In my own house." Lockwood spoke softly with a hint of anger towards Eli, who was sitting on a chair. He was angry at what Eli was doing. Selling dinosaurs to dangerous people, what was he thinking? Not only is this illegal, but it is also dangerous! Does he not care of the consequences?!
"You entrusted me to guide your fortune into the future." Eli answered him calmly. "I have done that."
"Damn you!" Lockwood exclaims in anger, feeling guilt and betrayed by the one who he had most trusted in his fortune. If this continues, then the dinosaurs will cause mayhem to the world. "Pick up that phone. I want you to call the police. It'll be easier if the story comes from you." Lockwood ordered, wanting this to be over as soon as possible.
Eli was silent at first. Clearly disappointed that Lockwood was not supporting his idea. Nevertheless, he obeyed. "As you say, sir."
Eli stood up from his seat and walked towards the phone that was on top of the pillow. However, instead of picking up the mobile device, he placed it at the side and picked up the pillow instead. Eli looked over his shoulder towards Lockwood and spoke coldly, "You know, I've been thinking, John Hammond was right." He turns to Lockwood with the pillow in his hands, "it was an unholy thing that you did. I'm not the only guilty one here, am I, sir?"
As Eli approaches Lockwood and is about to smother him with the pillow, until he hears something from behind. Before he could turn around, an invisible force pushes him to the closet, which the doors open on their own, before closing themselves shut. Eli yells as he bangs through the doors, trying to break free. Lockwood was shocked by this until he was face to face with Destiny. The girl stares at him blankly while Lockwood looks at her with wide eyes, wondering who she is.
Before he could ask any question, Destiny touches his shoulder without any warning, before teleporting themselves, along with the bed and equipment, out of the room and into the ship. Just in time too as Eli got himself out of the closet, only to find that Lockwood was gone. He was going to panic until he got a call from Eversoll, informing him that their buyers were early. Without a choice, Eli had to go and greet the guests, and search for Lockwood later.
Dark and Spider-Man readied themselves as Delilah and Pierre Quentin, and entered the manor's driveway as the infamous fashion designers. The limo follows the other vehicles to the manor. Dark and Spider-Man knew that they had to prepare themselves when they entered the manor.
"So far, so good." Spider-Man mutters out to Dark, passing the security.
"Stay focus, Spidey. We're in enemy territory." Dark whispers to Spider-Man, looking through the window as they head towards the manor, "We have to make sure to stay in character if we want to find Uberto and Mills."
"Gotcha." Spider-Man whispers back.
"Is everyone in position?" Dark spoke through telepathy, knowing very well that the people will hear if she uses her comm.
"Loud and clear, Dark." Kid Arachnid responded, hiding on top of the ceiling, still camouflaged with the others.
"Squirrel Girl, are you squirrels putting the trackers on?" Dark asked Squirrel Girl.
Squirrel Girl and her team were hidden at the back while few of Squirrel Girl's squirrels were scurrying about, placing trackers under the vehicles. "They're placing all the trackers, Dark!" Squirrel Girl announced.
"Good, A Team, any new guests on the list?"
"Yeah, a lot, even the ones that are supposedly good guys." White Tiger said, hidden in the roof of the manor as she and the team watched as many rich people exited their vehicles.
"Publicity stunts, acting all sweet and innocent to the public eye." Dark informs them. "Iron-Spider, have you hacked the computer's systems?"
"Just a sec, give me five more seconds to hack into this last firewall encryption." Iron Spider said through his communicator, looking through the holographic images through his helmet, "I'm in!"
"Good to hear," Dark said with a smirk before connecting her mind with Silk and Kamala, "Okay, Silk, MM, go to the forest with the kids and Cornelia, Marco and Owen are waiting for you guys."
"We're on it!" Kamala said cheerfully.
"Good." Dark said before she received a message from Destiny, "It's Destiny...she got Lockwood out of the manor ad in the ship. Dr. Connor is treating him as we speak. She's going back to get Maisie."
Spider-Man sighs in relief, "That's good to hear."
"Don't celebrate just yet. We are still on a mission." Dark informs him. "And it won't be easy."
"I know, Dark." Spider-Man said, looking at the manor that was coming in view. "I know."
Meanwhile, Maisie was still locked in her room. She was angry with Eli for doing this to her. Now, he is going to sell her brothers off to who knows where! And what's worse, this stupid bracelet was preventing her from using her powers! She needs her power to get out of here and save her brothers, and tell her grandfather about his plan. Maisie attempted her escape by getting the key in the keyhole. Carroll or Eli must've forgotten to get it after she was locked in. So, using a dress hanger, Maisie fiddles the hook through the keyhole, attempting to get the key. Finally, the key drops and falls on a sheet of paper. And Maisie pulls it under, and unlocks the door. She then cracked open the door, and saw a guard at the bottom of the stairs, talking to someone. Knowing that she will get caught, Maisie closes the door and thinks of an alternative way to escape.
TAP!
TAP!
TAP!
Maisie heard a rhythmic tapping from her balcony's doors. Looking up, Maisie gasped to see Destiny standing there, looking at her blankly. Maisie rushes towards her balcony's doors and opens it. When she steps outside, she was about to ask Destiny on why she is here and how she got here, but Maisie stopped when she spotted a line of cars approaching the mansion. Maisie was shocked and worried to see so many strange people coming to her home. And what's worse, her brothers will be bought by them.
"I need to warn Grandpa." Maisie said to Destiny.
"He..." Destiny spoke, voice sounded hoarse and cold, sending shivers into Maisie's spine. "He...is...safe..."
Maisie was relieved to hear that. "Where is he?"
Destiny points at a distance, "Ship...safe...being...cared..." She explains softly then looks at Maisie, "Must...take...you...to...safety..."
Maisie shook her head, "I don't want to go! I have to find Tobi and Ripper!" Destiny tilts her head at Maisie's words, "They're my brothers and I have to find them! Can you please help me?"
Destiny looks Maisie in the eye. She could despair and worriedness in them. Destiny knows that she loves her brothers, like how Destiny loves her family. And she knew that Uberto would sell her brothers if he and Eli did not stop. Outstretching her hand, Destiny decided to help Maisie by taking her to her friends at the forest. Maisie was hesitant at first, but the look on Destiny's eyes shows hidden kindness within them. So, taking a deep breath, Maisie accepted Destiny's hand, before the both of them teleported to the forest.
Just as they left, Eli Mills was outside with Eversoll, greeting the buyers. These buyers are from high businesses or from Criminal Underworld. Eversoll makes sure to inform Eli about the buyers, so he will know who they are.
"And these guys are development reps for Aldaris Pharmaceuticals." Eversoll gestures to a group of businessmen coming up the stairs.
"Great." Eli said with a nod of understanding.
"The guy in the beard is a proxy for Gregor Adlrich, a Slovenian arms dealer." Eversoll gestures to the bearded man with a briefcase. Eversoll continues informing Eli about the buyers, mainly the ones with cowboy hats, "Equine buyers. Rand Magnus, an oil magnate from Houston."
"What's their interest?" Eli asked him.
"Strictly personal. His kid wants a baby Triceratops." Eversoll said to Eli before greeting the buyers, "Glenn, how's Janet?"
"She's doing fine, thanks." The man named Glenn said with a grin.
Eversoll chuckles at him, "Straight ahead, Glenn."
The limo that Spider-Man and Dark were riding pulled up through the driveway, allowing both Spider-Man and Dark to exit, posing as Delilah and Pierre Quentin, the fashion cousins that use endangered or rare products. As they stepped out, Dark immediately saw Anton Orlov coming up with his men. He and Eversoll were conversing in Russian, which Dark understood, as Orlov wanted two carnivores.
"Is that Anton Orlov?" Spider-Man asked Dark quietly.
"Yup, and he wants to buy two carnivores." Dark answered softly, "Come on, we have to be in there." She said, Spider-Man nodded as Dark linked her arm into Spider-Man's before making their way to the manor, while greeting some buyers on their way.
Eversoll told Eli what Orlov wanted, "Well, he only wants carnivores. Two of them. Looks like Lookwood's gonna have a very good night. Will he be joining us?"
Eli was hesitant, he can't say that Lockwood was gone and is probably taken to who knows where, "Um...That's very unlikely." He answered with hesitation, which Eversoll didn't bother to notice as he was more focused on the business.
"Oh, here comes the two fashionistas. Delilah and Pierre Quentin or better known as the Quentin Cousins." Eversoll said while gesturing to Dark and Spider-Man, disguised as the two fashionistas. "They design rare and endangered animals or jewelry that no one could get their hands on."
"So, they want to buy a dinosaur. For what? As their next inspiration for their fashion trend?" Eli asked Eversoll.
"No, the dinosaurs are their latest fashion trends, they're gonna skin them, you know." Eversoll informs Eli.
"Oh...got it." Eli said in understanding.
"Ah! Delilah and Pierre Quentin! Welcome!" Eversoll greeted the supposed 'cousins'.
Dark puts on a shit eating smile at Eversoll and puts on an accent, "Oh, it's good to see you again, Mr. Eversoll! We are delighted to see the next products you will be selling for us." She said loudly, acting like the real Delilah.
"I can assure you, Madam Delilah, you and your cousin will have a treat for this auction." Eversoll said to her.
"Oh, it will be a treat, right my dear cousin?" Dark asked Spider-Man in a fake cheeriness.
"Agreed!" Spider-Man suddenly exclaimed, feeling balls of sweat coming down the side of his face, "We mustn't delay! Fashion waits for no one!"
"Right you are, cousin." Dark said, smirking in amusement at Spider-Man's words, "Now, can you fine gentlemen tell us where the room is? We don't want to be late." She asked Eversoll and Eli.
Eversoll smiles and gestures inside, "Straight ahead, the guards will show you the way."
"Thank you, darling." Dark said before she and Spider-Man entered the building, both relieved that Eversoll and Eli fell for it. They followed the group of people through the hall as the staff, mostly security, showed them the room.
"Good job on the acting there, Spidey." Dark whispers, entering the auction room.
Spider-Man sighs under the mask, "Man, for a minute there I thought I almost blew our cover."
"Keyword, almost." Dark said with a smirk before spotting some seats that were close to Anton Orlov, "There's Orlov. Are you guys in position?" Dark questions the group quietly as the spider gang were up in the ceiling, camouflage.
"Ready!" They said unison.
Dark smiles as she and Spider-Man took their seats. "Let's get our game on."
