Warning: Illness and Fainting
Rapunzel
Mom is screaming. Eugene, Cassandra, and Dad are in the room. She is shivering and shaking. Is she having a seizure? I worry.
"What's going on?" I question.
"She is in so much pain that she's shaking." Dad explains. Can we give her medicine?
"Can we give her medicine?".
"Not when she's shaking.". Mom screams. She shakes. She passes out. Did she pass? I gasp.
"Don't worry, Rapunzel!" Eugene exclaims. Dad puts a hand on her heart.
"She's still alive!" He exclaims. We all sigh in relief.
Three days later, I am in a cream room in a wooden rocking chair. I am sewing with a metal needle and a wooden embroidery hoop. I am embroidering a sun with a purple background. I poke myself. My finger bleeds. Mom's going to pass. I remember. I cry.
"Aww, Rapunzel, don't cry." Cassandra tells me.
"I just want Mom." I explain. I cry. A tear landed on the wound. It heals. We all gasp.
I run downstairs to a kitchen with tan walls, wooden cabinets, a black oven and an
island. I go over to the cabinets and open them. There are white bowls, plates, and blue cups. I grab a cup. I close the cabinets. I hold the cup up to my eye. Mom stops breathing. I cry. The cup fills up. I go to Mom.
