A/N: Hello, Everyone! Sorry for this chapter taking a little bit longer than the other ones so far, I got really busy earlier.

Sidenote, this'll probably be my only chapter for today. Sorry! I don't feel well and I'm probably just going to drop into bed as soon as I'm done writing this, lol.

I actually was thinking of just delaying until tomorrow, but…This chapter isn't exactly the most significant in the story, so it's not the end of the world if it comes out a little sloppier than the rest. Please understand :P

I'll try for a triple tomorrow! I already got a solid idea for the next chapter, after all…But we'll see what hand life deals me.

Because I feel like it, here's what happened today in my life. I got early to go to the flea market, and I actually scored pretty big. I got a copy of Pokemon Diamond for $40, which…Is insane that it's a good deal, considering iirc wasn't $40 pretty much retail for DS games?

Whatever the case, when I got it home I intended to start a new game, but… I noticed it still has a save file from 2007 on there from a fella named Otis and I'm having second thoughts lol.

Then, after that, I built a TV stand for my dad. Thrilling stuff, I know.

Back on to the fic, I'm sorry that my last chapter was a tiiiiiny bit undercooked. I updated it this morning, to fix some wording and drop a plot point that I decided I no longer vibed with.

Special thanks to Brosethornsart on Reddit for their map of the Boiling Isles, which has helped tremendously. I also stole one of their town names :P

Phillip, for once, was the first to wake in the Blight household. Not like, obscenely early, but earlier than everyone else. Not wanting to risk another of his recurring night terrors, he just decided to get up and get moving for the day. He took a shower, did a load of laundry, and made a simple breakfast consisting of a bowl of seeds and dried fruits for Currant.

This laundry wasn't a moment too soon, He'd been wearing the same outfit for a few weeks - and it was beginning to get a little…well, filthy. So, until the dryer was finished, he was just wearing pajamas. Sweatpants and A 'Bad Girl Coven' T-shirt - which was a gift from Luz. Who, promptly tried her damndest to hide her laughter spurts whenever she saw him wearing it.

By the time all that he needed to do at the minute was taken care of, the rest of the household had awakened and were gathering at the dining table for breakfast. Today's dish was Gripphon Eggs & Warpig Bacon. To which, Currant would absolutely not stop begging for some.

"No, you've already eaten your breakfast." Phillip said, sternly.

'Caw!' Currant begged.

"Oh, alright, but just one piece." He said, letting out a small sigh. Cutting off a small chink of egg yolk and handing it over to his palisman. To which, she took the opportunity to snatch a piece of bacon and eat the whole thing in half a second.

Everyone got a big laugh at this, even Phillip. "I would be more upset, if that wasn't so impressive." Currant just replied with a satisfied caw and a smile.

Otherwise from Currant's shenanigans, the entire table was just making basic morning small-talk. How their lives had been, any upcoming plans, how the weather was, et cetera. Phillip decided to take this opportunity to bring up a topic that'd been on his mind. "Have you two made any progress with removing Coven sigils?"

"Unfortunately not." Darius grumbled, crossing his arms. Alador though, held his index finger in the air and added "We're on the cusp of a breakthrough, though, I can feel it."

"In my spare time I've been attempting to find a solution myself." Phillip said, nodding his head. "Unfortunately, I've made very little progress. How did you say these sigils were administered again?"

Darius narrowed his eyes, suspicious of the former emperor. But Alador went right ahead and explained. "With a special type of glove."

"Do either of you have a specimen of one of these gloves for study? Perhaps it could be reverse engineered." Phillip asked.

"Hmm…" Alador said, tapped his chin. "There's probably still an abandoned Emperor's Coven outpost in the ruins of Elbia…"

Amity perked up. "Yea, they would probably have a bunch of supplies! It's not too far away, if I remember correctly it's pretty close to Bonesborough. Whaddaya say, Phillip? Up for an adventure?"

He shrugged his shoulders, and smiled. "It sounds like fun, I must admit." Currant let out a happy caw. "See? She agrees."

Considering he was finished with his plate, he politely asked "May I be excused?" to which everyone just kind of stared at him for a minute. Until Amity went "Yes, you may." Figuring it was a human thing, probably.

He stood up and gave a small bow, with a polite "Thank you for breakfast.", before handing his dirty plate to an Abomination servant and leaving the room.

Amity, Darius, and Alador all stared at each other for a minute, confused at his…overly polite table manners. This was the first time they'd all eaten breakfast together, so it was quite the shock.

A moment later, when they had regained their bearings and he was our of earshot, Darius shook his head. "I don't know about this, Amity."

"Oh, c'mon, what's the worst that could happen?" Amity said with a shrug, as she wiped her mouth with a handkerchief.

"I don't know, but I'm afraid he might have malicious intent." Darius said, idly speculating.

"Perhaps he's going to try and brand us while we sleep?" Alador popped in. "If he used something like a bard or plant coven sigil, it would effectively strip us of our magic."

Amity let out a small laugh, "Dad, I don't think that's going to happen. From what we can tell, he's genuine about his intentions. Otherwise his Palisman wouldn't have awakened."

"I'm still unsure…" Darius grumbled.

"Plus, I already planned on inviting Eda to come with us. She's been super suspicious of him, so- she'll keep a good eye-out if he tries to double-cross us." Amity said.

Alador tapped his chin, "Best case scenario, if he's able to help us with a more effective sigil remover it would help us all."

Darius sighed, and simply replied "Very well."

A few minutes later, Phillip was dressed and ready to go. He put on his favorite attire…Which, was really his only attire. The navy-blue overcoat that used to belong to Caleb, a white cravat, A grey waistcoat, brown britches, and boots. As well, he tied his unkempt hair back into a loose ponytail.

"Are you ready?" Amity said, popping her head in.

"I am." He said, as he stood up. As he did, Currant hopped onto his shoulder. "Ever the eager one, are you?"

With that, they left Blight Manor and their journey across the Titan's forearm. The bulk of the journey was on foot, since Phillip didn't quite have enough practice in flowing on Palisman-back longer than a few feet. Despite how much that slowed things down, It still didn't end up taking too long. They arrived at the door of the Owl House within an hour.

"Hi, Amity! And… Belos, you're here too." Hooty said, raising a cautious eyebrow.

To which Phillip laughed, "Well, a good morning to you."

"I'm not talking to you!" Hooty hooted, as he closed his eyes and rotated his head. Phillip just shrugged and muttered, "That's fair."

A minute later, Eda opened the door. Dressed in only the finest bathrobe and slippers she found in the clearance bin at a department store, and sipping on a bottle of apple blood.

"Hi, Eda!" Amity cheerily said.

Eda stared blankly at the former Emperor for a minute. "What do you want?"

Amity stepped forward, prepared to do all the talking. "So, long story short, me and Phillip are off to Elbia to raid the old Emperor's Coven outpost. Do you wanna come along?"

"Ugh, it's too early for this…" She said, as she rubbed her eyes with one hand and scratched her side with the other. "Why me, of all people?"

"Cuz, well, you- don't really trust Phillip, so we thought you would be better at spotting if he has any mal-intent…No offense, Phillip." Amity said.

"None taken." Phillip replied, with a flap of his wrist.

Eda rolled her eyes. "Ugh, fiiiiiine, I guess that makes sense. Give me a minute to get dressed and wake up…" She grumbled. "Wait a second, what's that…bird on your shoulder?" She squinted, not sure if her old eyes were failing her.

"Oh, it's my Palisman. Her name is Currant." Phillip smiled, as Currant let out a little greeting 'Caw!'

"That's not what I expected to see…You taking good care of her?" Eda raised a cautious eyebrow.

Phillip laughed. "As good care as I can. Unfortunately she's a biiiit of a troublemaker." Currant cried a caw of protest, to which he simply muttered "You know it to be true."

Eda shot a glance at Amity, before just turning around and walking back upstairs.
