Declaimer: I don't own any characters from Little Witch Academia, I'm just doing this for fun.

"I'm going to leave Luna Nova."

Not a single sound was heard, the message was so clear and forceful that it left our spectators completely blank. And who wouldn't be? Akko, the most positive, proactive, and visionary person in the Academy, had taken for granted that her dream was impossible to achieve. That goal of becoming like Chariot and becoming a well-known witch worldwide was seen as purely utopian and unrealistic, or at least that's how she saw it given the circumstances she was in.

"Miss Atsuko, are you aware of what you just said?" the director asked, being one of the first to snap out of the daze.

"Akko..." Diana whispered through clenched teeth, as her cold expression started to crumble into pieces.

"Yes, Director Holbrooke," Akko said without a hint of doubt in her voice.

"May I know the reasons?" the director spoke without taking her gaze away.

Akko looked around and noticed the expressions of her classmates. Some were surprised, others remained expressionless, some whispered to each other, but the majority, especially those who knew Akko well, wore looks of grief as if something precious had been taken from them and they would never regain it. However, this did not change her opinion in the slightest; the decision had already been made.

"If you prefer, we can discuss it in private," the director suggested, perhaps thinking that it was something the Japanese girl didn't want the others to know.

"No... don't worry, the reason is simple and concise... I'm tired," Akko replied.

"Tired?" they all wondered.

"Yes, tired. Tired of waking up every morning to receive a potion that I don't know when it might kill me," she said, looking directly at Sucy.

"Tired of receiving all kinds of insults without any justification while I'm in the dining hall or in the hallways," she looked directly at Hanna and Barbara.

"Tired of every time I arrive to class, except for Ursula-sensei, the teachers greet me with sarcastic comments, referring to my magical abilities," she looked at the director again, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Tired of my so-called best friend only seeking me out when she needs to steal something from the kitchen," she looked at Amanda, tears now streaming down her cheeks.

"Tired that the person I fell in love only look at me with cold and stoic eyes," she said, attempting to gaze at Diana but failing to meet her eyes.

"Ooo Akko, I didn't kno..." the director began to say.

"NO!" she shouted, exasperated.

"I don't want to hear any of your false apologies," she said, this time managing to maintain some composure and wiping away her tears.

"I'm done with this," she concluded.

"Alright, dear"

"I'll be waiting for you in my office, along with the other professors, to go through the necessary procedures for your departure from the Academy," she adjusted her hat and left the hall, deep in thought.

Akko let out a small sigh, said nothing more, and returned to her room, closing the door behind her.

POV – Diana

"Pam" was the sound of the door, and everyone began to leave, already concerned about their own matters. The last ones to leave were Lotte, Sucy, and the others, who decided to go to another place to process what had happened.

But she couldn't move; her mind wasn't responding to any impulse.

She kept staring fixedly at the door where Akko was probably getting ready to leave Luna Nova, and she couldn't do anything about it. For some reason, this put her in a state of emergency that she hadn't felt in years. It wasn't until Hanna touched her arm that she reacted. "Diana... Diana..." she looked at her with concern. "Are you okay? You've been staring at the door for quite a while."

"Yes..." she weakly replied. "Yes," she repeated, this time more assertively. "I'm sorry, Hanna, Barbara. This was very unexpected."

"No kidding," Barbara said. "Who would have thought that Akko, of all people at Luna Nova, would be the first one to leave?" She finished with a smile forming on her lips.

"Hahaha, did you see her face? She looked like a dead fish," Hanna chimed in. "I'm going to leave Luna Nova," she said, trying to imitate Akko. "Hahaha, it's unbelievable." While the sarcastic comments continued, Diana's expression was starting to change, and it wasn't one of joy.

"Finally, we're rid of that pest," Barbara exclaimed.

"Now Luna Nova will be a bit more peaceful," Hanna added.

"Anyway, from the beginning, someone without Noble lineage shouldn't have been accepted into the school, especially if they can't even recite a spell without it blowing up in their face," Barbara concluded, unaware that what she just said struck a sensitive chord in the prodigy witch.

"Girls," Diana spoke in a colder tone than usual, "shouldn't you be doing something more important than talking about people behind their backs?"

"Pfft, Diana, what are you ta..." Hanna tried to say, only to meet a pair of blue eyes that conveyed a clear message. "Say one more word, and you'll regret it for the rest of your life."

"Um, Barbs, we better go. Remember we have a magical astronomy exam tomorrow," Hanna spoke a bit hurriedly. "Huh," Barbara mumbled until she turned around and noticed Diana's inquisitive gaze. "Yeah... Hanna, let's get out of here," and they both quickly ran off, leaving Diana alone. She stayed there for a while, staring at the door, then let out a sigh, turned around, and continued down the hallway.

POV – Akko

She stood in front of the office, only hearing murmurs from the other side of the door. Gathering her courage, she knocked on the door. "Come in, Miss Atsukko," a voice called out. She opened the door and entered the room. She looked around and there they all were, the teachers, waiting for her. But something in particular caught her attention Professor Finnelan wasn't smiling; she seemed rather annoyed. Akko didn't dwell on it and continued walking towards the center of the room.

"Well, Miss Atsukko, regarding your case, I took the liberty of informing everyone present here," said the teacher. Akko nodded without any reproach. After all, she had announced her decision in front of a significant number of people, so it wouldn't be surprising if the whole Luna Nova already knew about her intentions at this point.

"Now, after a lengthy discussion, we have reached the conclusion that your decision to leave this institution will be accepted, but with certain conditions," said the teacher. Akko swallowed hard and asked, "And what are those conditions?" The director looked at her and continued, "You will be given exactly one year to reconsider your decision. If, after that time, you still intend to leave Luna Nova, your wish will be immediately granted, but all the memories and teachings you have learned and experienced in this place will be erased from your mind."

"Huh," Akko simply uttered. "Normally, according to the established rules, the witch's decision would be respected. However, in this case, due to Professor Ursula's insistence, things will be handled differently. Nevertheless, this will be kept completely confidential, only the people present here will know about this exception. For the rest of the staff and students, your request to leave has been immediately accepted." The director took a breath and concluded, "Therefore, tonight you must leave the premises and return directly to your home country."

"But... but..." she tried to say as her mind struggled to process all the information she received at once. "Why?" was the only thing that came out of her mouth.

"Akko," Ursula-sensei spoke this time, "We had no idea what you were going through, nor were we aware of how hurtful many of our words were, not to mention the comments and actions of your classmates and friends. That's why we thought it best to give you some time to think deeply about whether the decision you made is the right one. Now, if you disagree with what has been discussed, we will respect your decision, and the process will take place immediately."

Akko closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and spoke, "Alright, I will make the most of this opportunity you have given me. In one year, I will let you know my decision." She concluded and started walking towards the door to leave. But just before closing it completely, Ursula-sensei said to her, "Remember, Akko, a believing heart is your magic".
