She opened the door to her room and, as expected, found no one there. She looked at her bed, which was in disarray, and walked over to it, slowly gathering her belongings while thinking about what had just happened. "One year..." she said to no one in particular. After finishing organizing everything, she pulled her suitcase from under the bed, went to the closet, grabbed her two spare uniforms and other clothes she had brought from home, toted them to the bed, and packed them. She looked at her desk and debated whether she should take that stack of books with her or simply leave them at the library. Opting for the latter, she tore a sheet from a notebook she had lying around and left a message for her friends to take care of it.
Seeing that nothing was missing, she carefully removed her most prized possession, her Shiny Chariot poster, folded it, and packed it in her other suitcase. After checking everything for the umpteenth time and feeling satisfied, she decided to lie down on her bed one last time and wait for the time to depart to arrive.
.
And so, the hours passed.
.
.
.
There came a moment when she fell asleep, and what woke her up was the sound of the door opening, and there stood Lotte and Sucy, the former with swollen eyes, and the latter with more pronounced dark circles. She looked at the time on one of the alarm clocks, it was already 11:30 PM, it was time. She got up, observed the two for a few more seconds, grabbed her two suitcases, broom, and wand, and left the room.
She walked directly to the tower, with firm and determined steps, through those corridors that had given her so much and taken away so much more. When she was almost reaching her destination, a stumble made her pause for a moment. As she composed herself, she realized that something had fallen, it was the poster. Perhaps, being the last thing, she had packed, it hadn't been properly secured.
She looked at it intently and an idea struck her. She glanced around once more and whispered to herself, "I'm quite close."
.
.
She veered off the path and arrived at a door she knew all too well, especially the person inside. She took off her hat, untied the red ribbon, and tied the poster to it. Then, she slid it through the small hole at the bottom, turned around, and continued her way.

POV – Diana
She couldn't fall asleep. After tossing and turning in bed and trying all her techniques, she couldn't manage to drift off. Her mind was filled with thoughts of that little Japanese girl with ruby-red eyes and cinnamon-colored hair.
And she couldn't quite comprehend why.
She had never cared about someone in such a way before in her life.
Giving up, she got out of bed as quietly as possible, not wanting to attract her roommates' attention. She wasn't in the mood for curious questions. She grabbed a candlestick and made her way to a corner of the room to prepare herself some tea. Perhaps a warm drink with the right spice would help in the challenging task of getting some rest. But just as she was heading towards the small space, she noticed something red near the door. As she approached, she realized it was a package. Examining it closely, she immediately recognized the sender.
She picked it up and made her way to her bedside table, completely forgetting the reason she had gotten up in the first place. She unfastened it and unfolded the paper. As she realized its contents, something inside her chest moved violently, and in a purely impulsive act, she grabbed the first coat she found in her closet, put on her shoes as quickly as she could, and rushed out.

POV – Akko
As she arrived at the tower, she noticed a small gnome waiting for her, next to a ¿magical carriage? One could say so. After all, she had never seen such a vehicle before.
"Miss Atsuko?" the gnome asked.
"Yes," she replied.
"Good evening, miss. As you can see, due to your particular situation, I have been tasked with safely taking you outside the Ley Line," the creature explained. "Now, can we depart?"
Looking back one last time, she replied, "Yes, we can go now."

POV – Diana
She ran at full speed, not caring if any teacher saw her. Her sole objective was to catch up to Akko.
What would I say to her when I find her? I didn't know.
Would I even be able to speak to her? I didn't know.
The only thing that mattered at this moment was to arrive on time.
.
.
.
POV – Akko
"Miss, please, under no circumstances should you open the door of the carriage during the journey, and needless to say, keep your belongings securely fastened," the gnome told her as they began to ascend.
Akko simply looked at him and nodded.

POV – Diana
…
She could already see the last corner she had to turn to arrive.
…
She made a final effort,
…
turned with all her strength,
….
and found herself,
...
absolutely nothing.
..
Not a soul was in sight.
It was too late; everything had already been decided.
She looked up at the sky and collapsed, and for the first time in many years, she cried. Tears flowed endlessly as she lowered her gaze and noticed that the red ribbon was still in her hand. Unconsciously, she had taken it with her when she left the room.
She tightly squeezed the ribbon against her chest and whispered, "Akko..."

POV – Akko
Four hours had passed, and they had finally arrived.
"Well, miss, we have arrived at your destination," said the gnome as he descended. "I sincerely apologize for the delay. Being such an old vehicle, I had to resort to certain measures to ensure there were no unfortunate accidents," he added.
"Eeek," Akko exclaimed, as a shiver ran down her spine. "Now I understand why it took us so long and why I've never seen anything like this before," she muttered to herself.
"With that, I hope you have an excellent journey," the gnome said before departing back towards the school.
Akko waited for a few seconds until the carriage disappeared completely before collecting her belongings and starting to walk towards the town. When she reached the center, she searched for the first car that would take her to Blytonbury. After boarding it and waiting a short time, she arrived in the city, where she walked to the train station to catch a train that would take her to London.
.
.
After all the arduous journey and finally arriving in the British capital, the first thing she did was take out her phone and call her mother.
She waited for a few seconds as the call connected. "Hello, sweetheart! What's the reason for this sudden call? I thought they didn't allow you to use your phone at school," her mother said. Akko remained silent as she tried to figure out how to deliver the news. "Sweetie, are you okay? Did something happen? Why aren't you speaking?" her mother continued, growing a bit nervous. "Mom, I've left Luna Nova," Akko finally said, causing a dead silence that lasted for a moment. "WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LEFT SCHOOL?!" her mother shouted, deeply shocked by the news. "Mom, please don't yell. I know this is very sudden, but I promise I'll explain everything when I arrive in Tokyo," Akko pleaded. "NO! I NEED AN EXPLANATION IMMEDIATELY, YOUNG LADY," her mother exclaimed in an exasperated tone. "M-mom, p-please," Akko pleaded again, on the verge of tears. There was a sigh from the other side. "Alright, but you really need to explain everything when you arrive in Japan."
"H-hai," Akko responded. "Do you have money for the ticket?" her mother asked. "I-I already spent everything on the taxi and train to get to London," Akko replied.
"Wait a few minutes, and you will receive the transfer notification. I'll be waiting for you at home," her mother concluded before ending the call.
She waited a few minutes, and as soon as the notification arrived, she headed to the airport. Fortunately for her, she managed to secure a direct flight to Tokyo in the economy class. With her ticket in hand and the check-in completed, she looked for a place to take a short break, at least to change into more comfortable clothes and freshen up a bit. Finding a small store outside the airport, she did everything mentioned and then proceeded to the waiting area, where she finally heard her flight being announced over the loudspeaker.
"It has been a very long day..."
