Author Notes
Okay here is the fifth chapter. These one is more of a peaceful one, but well the next one will be one of the most important in the story. As always, I hope that you will like it, and with nothing more to say, enjoy 3.
O And leave a review if you want.
Declaimer: I don't own any characters from Little Witch Academia, I'm just doing this for fun.
Several weeks had passed since she had left school, and to her surprise, she felt quite relaxed. Perhaps venting to her mother in such a way and not being in such a suffocating environment had helped her tremendously. The only problem now was that her daily routine was not what she had expected.
Sleeping, waking up, eating, playing video games, or reading a comic or manga she had lying around was starting to bother her a bit. She felt bored, and as sad as it sounded, magic no longer brought back that spark that once motivated her.
She needed something that would truly help her find the desire to face the world again.
And so the search began. From that point on, every day she would leave home in search of new experiences. She walked around the neighborhood and observed anything that caught her attention. It could be a dog chasing its tail, a group of children playing nearby, or a student returning from school, among other things.
On one of those adventures, she ended up in a park where several couples were sitting and enjoying their time together. Unfortunately for her, that had brought the only cherished memory she had from Luna Nova, and it was that beautiful witch who always had a determined gaze and unwavering determination.
She lingered in the dungeon of memories for a while until a small bark alerted her. She looked around, praying that nobody had noticed that she had stood there for a while, lost in her thoughts. Seeing that nobody was looking at her strangely, she called it a day and returned home.
.
.
After that incident, not wanting to bring back those tempting memories, she decided to venture further into the bustling areas of the city. It was during one of those walks in Shibuya that she stumbled upon her childhood friends.
"Akko," she heard, "Is that you, Akko?"
Akko turned immediately to find a small redhead girl.
For a moment, she didn't recognize her, but then she noticed the two pigtails on her head and realized who it was. "Akari-chan!" she exclaimed.
Upon hearing her name, the girl ran towards Akko and embraced her with surprising strength for her size. "A-Akari, I can't breathe," the brunette managed to say. "Oh! I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention," Akari apologized.
While Akko took a breath, Akari didn't waste a second and asked, "What are you doing here? When did you come back from England? Why didn't you write to us when you arrived?" There were too many questions to answer all at once, and there were some that Akko didn't really want to answer.
"W-wait a minute, Akari-chan. I just came back for some months due to a certain problem that I can't talk about," she said.
"Eeee! That's not an excuse for not even letting us know in advance," Akari pouted.
"I'm really sorry," Akko responded.
"Apology accepted. Hey! Do you want to come with me to a restaurant nearby? We're going to meet up with everyone, and it would be great to have you there," Akari said, grabbing her arm and denying any attempt to escape. "Aaaaahhhhh... alright," Akko replied, a smile starting to form. "Okay then, let's go!"
As they made their way to the place, Akko thought to herself, 'Ugh, this girl is quite impulsive. Now I'm starting to understand Lotte and Sucy a bit more.'
.
.
As they arrived at the place and she met the rest of the group, Akko felt a bit intimidated. But as time passed, she started to relax and be her characteristic self, joking, chatting, laughing, and enjoying every second. While the little adventures hadn't led to any significant outcome, this reunion filled her with a nostalgic feeling and helped her continue to cleanse herself of all those lingering negative sensations.
.
.
When it was time to leave, Akko first thanked Akari for inviting her, and then she gave each of the others a heartfelt hug. They returned the gesture, and they promised to meet again, whether in that same place or somewhere else. The important thing was to find a place where they could have just as much fun together.
Upon arriving home, her mother was surprised to see her with a big smile on her face, something she hadn't seen since Akko returned from Luna Nova.
"Did you have a good day, dear?" she asked.
"Yes, Mom, it was a really fun day," Akko replied.
"Hmm, I hope it wasn't because of some boy," her mother teased.
"HUH! W-what are you talking about, Mom? I don't even like..." Akko realized she was about to let slip another bombshell and quickly shut her mouth. Her mother, being as perceptive as ever, raised an eyebrow and asked, "You don't like what...?"
"Eeeeee well, and how was your day at work?" the younger one asked, trying to change the subject. "Actually, it went really well. Oh... I just remembered something. I was given some tickets to an event at the Budokan. I think it's a concert, but I'm not sure," her mother replied. Seeing how she had just dodged a bullet, she managed to calm down and responded, "Budokan, umm? Then they must be quite famous."
"Do you want to go?" her mother asked.
"Ummm, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea. It sounds fun," Akko replied.
"Well, the event is in a few days, so I hope you don't feel like going out all day again on that day," her mother said.
"Haaaaaai," the girl affirmed as she walked towards her room.

POV – Diana
She raised her hand to answer a question.
"Diana" was chosen immediately.
"The meaning of that phrase is _ _ _." It had been some time since the departure of a certain Japanese girl, and the feeling of looking underneath and seeing the red team without a member was quite strange.
Lotte and Sucy seemed to be doing better, but she had no way of knowing for sure. She wasn't close to them, and her only connection was no longer around. As for the rest of the group, forget it. She couldn't stand Amanda, which led to a complete lack of interaction with Jasminka and Constanze. The only thing she was sure of was that they always sat together during lunchtime.
"You're correct. Thank you for your answer, Diana." On her part, things didn't look so good. Since that eventful night, she couldn't sleep properly. Dreams with different outcomes kept appearing, and they were getting crazier each time. It could be anything from a normal day at Luna Nova to a trip where she found herself doing certain activities with Akko that she preferred not to mention. On top of that, the teachers and students kept asking for her help. At this rate, she was going to go crazy.
.
.
A bell rang, announcing the end of the class. "For next week, I want you to finish reading the chapter we didn't have time to complete in class. I will give a small quiz at the beginning of the next class, so don't get too confident," she heard the professor said as she gathered all her books and waited for Hanna and Barbara to get up.
As they were on their way to their next class, Diana heard Barbara's voice. "Um, Diana, can I ask you something?" Without any hesitation, Diana glanced at her and replied, "Sure, Barbara. What do you need?" As she saw Barbara looking at her with curiosity, she started feeling a shiver down her spine, a sign that something wasn't right.
"I couldn't contain my curiosity, and I wanted to know ¿what is that thing you have tied to your right wrist?" Barbara said.
Immediately, Diana stopped in her tracks, and a deathly silence fell upon them. Hanna simply looked at her, as she had also noticed that detail for quite some time but was too afraid to ask.
She began to break out in a cold sweat, unsure of how to respond. What would she tell them? That it was a gift from a noble of another house? That it was a bracelet that aided her in certain tasks? Or simply that it was a memento from someone she would likely never see again? Opting for the first option, she replied, "It's just a gift I received from a noble," hoping that they would believe the lie.
After a few seconds of anticipation and silently praying that they had bought her story, a loud scream erupted, "Kyaaaa! Is it Andrew?!" "Could it be?" "Tell us, Diana!" "Please!" Seeing that they had fallen for the deception or at least appeared to have done so, Diana took a deep breath and said, "Girls, we'll talk about it another time. We need to get to class on time."
While Barbara continued to insist, Hanna stopped and analyzed the situation further.
Diana Cavendish accepting a gift from a noble, let alone wearing it publicly, seemed practically impossible. She examined the object's color closely and found it extremely familiar. After a few seconds, something clicked in her head.
'Could it be... No, not even in my wildest dreams.'
"Hanna, let's go."
'Let's drop it. But if it's true, that would explain a lot.'
"Fine."
And so they continued with their day.
