It was the day of the event, and as promised, Akko hadn't gone out all morning and afternoon.

At that moment, she was getting ready. Her mother hadn't arrived yet, but as they say, it's better to be safe than sorry.

While she was deciding what to wear, she heard the door of the apartment. "Are you ready, honey?" her mother asked. 'Better safe than sorry, sure, ugh,' she thought to herself as she replied, "Just give me a moment, Mom, I just need to get dressed." After a few seconds, she settled on wearing jeans, along with a black long-sleeved t-shirt. She topped it off with a black hoodie, and for footwear, she chose a pair of white Converse.

After one last look in the mirror, feeling satisfied with her appearance, she left her room. She walked to the exit and found her mother there. "Do you have everything?" her mother asked. "Hai," she replied. After hearing the affirmative response, her mother looked at her carefully and noticed something in her hand. "Dear, I know the Converse look great with the outfit, but we don't know how long the event will last, and they might not be very practical if there's an accident," her mother expressed. Upon hearing this, Akko rushed back to her room and quickly changed into white sneakers with red stripes. Returning to her mother, she showed her the shoes and asked, "Better?" Nodding her head, they took one last look at the place, turned around, and left.

They didn't take long to arrive, after all, the complex of buildings was close to the stadium. The place was packed, apparently the person who was going to perform was quite well-known. The only thing that stood out, giving a clue about the concert performer, was a symbol displayed everywhere. It consisted of two right triangles, one at 90 degrees and the other at 270 degrees. They weren't completely attached; a small space separated them, and their black color stood out against a white background. Akko looked at it for a few seconds, trying to decipher its meaning, but since she couldn't figure it out, she decided to find the queue to enter comfortably.

She took out the two tickets from the small bag she was carrying and searched for the door number so as not to wander unnecessarily. As she was in the process of reading the letters, something caught her attention. There was a rainbow-colored sign that said "BACKSTAGE." Understanding the word immediately, she turned to look at her mother and asked, "M-mom, did you know that these are backstage passes?" Her mother turned to look at her and said, "What's that, is it something you eat or what?" Akko's eyes widened, and she exclaimed, "Mom, these are VIP tickets, and they're very hard to get!" Haruko remained silent for a moment and replied, "First, calm down, and second, it doesn't mean that the experience will be more enjoyable."

Akko didn't know what to do. On one hand, she felt a little guilty for having something that any fan of this artist would want, but on the other hand, she felt curious to know what this experience was like, and maybe in it, she would find what she had been searching for.

Giving in, she said, "Ahhh, alright, let's just find the entrance."

They searched for the nearest door labeled "Staff." Upon reaching it, they found a relatively short line. It was expected, not everyone could afford such expensive packages. They listened to the entrance guard giving some instructions while handing out badges. After receiving them, they followed the man through certain hallways, passed through some security checkpoints, and entered a room filled with silver boxes. Apparently, they contained speakers, cables, and other equipment needed to set up the stage. They walked a little further and arrived in the main hall, where several people were busy working back and forth, ensuring that everything was set up perfectly for a flawless show.

As they made their way, Akko looked around, not wanting to miss any detail that caught her attention. It didn't matter if it was a simple bottle left behind in haste or a giant structure filled with cables, likely controlled from another location with a device. With each turn and step, she began to feel something peculiar—an unprecedented sense of comfort. It was as if this place was her natural habitat.

She heard some commotion and realized that the artist had appeared. Akko approached the crowd but remained an observer, not wanting to interrupt those who genuinely admired the artist's work. When it was time for group photos, she initially declined, but her mother insisted, and she reluctantly agreed.

As she posed for the photo, she noticed something in the background—a computer displaying captivating images. After the flash of the camera, she couldn't resist and approached the screen. As she got dangerously close to the animation, she heard a voice behind her, "You lost something, kid?" She jumped in surprise and quickly turned around to find a man who seemed to be the creator of what she had just seen. "G-gomenasai!" she blurted out instinctively in her native language, but realizing this, she quickly responded in English, "S-sorry, I was just curious about these drawings." The man stared at her intently, and feeling slightly intimidated, she hurriedly returned to the group.

After a few moments, Akko turned around to look at the computer again, and saw that the man was calmly working. She let out a sigh and decided it was best to wait for the concert to begin.

"This will be the spot where you'll watch the show," said the guide who had accompanied them from the entrance. "It will start soon, enjoy!" he added before leaving.

"Hey, dear, what was that just now?" Haruko asked. Akko understood what she was referring to and replied, "It's nothing, Mom, I just bumped into someone by accident. Oh, look, it's about to start!" They shifted their focus to the stage, leaving the topic aside.

.

.

It was dark, with only the sound of people screaming and cheering. Suddenly, a catchy beat started playing, and "BAM!" the spotlights illuminated the DJ. The crowd went wild as he greeted his audience and immediately started manipulating the console. The beat intensified as more melodies were added. Then, "BOOM!" the stage lights flashed for a second, displaying an image similar to the ones Akko had seen on the computer.

Everything was synchronized with the music, flawlessly executed as if by magic. But in reality, Akko had witnessed the behind-the-scenes teamwork that made it all possible.

Akko froze in awe as an uncontrollable current surged through her, starting from the soles of her feet. Her heartbeat synchronized with the music, and she surrendered herself completely to the experience. She jumped, danced, and sang along with the crowd. At times, she understood the lyrics perfectly, and some songs touched her deep in her soul, enhancing the whirlwind of emotions building inside her.

It wasn't a bad thing; it was truly exhilarating...

As the concert ended, people started leaving through the nearest exit. Akko and her mother made sure they didn't forget anything and headed towards the exit. Once they were on the streets, they decided to take a taxi. They arrived at their building, Haruko paid the fare, and they entered. They took the elevator, waited for a while, and arrived at the door of the penthouse. Throughout the entire journey, Akko hadn't said a single word. She appeared lost in thought. It wasn't until they entered their home and were about to bid each other goodnight that she finally spoke up.

"Mom, I've found it."

"I've found a new purpose in my life."

POV – Diana

They were just a few days away from going on vacation, and all the witches at Luna Nova were getting their things ready with excitement. The atmosphere was filled with happiness and freedom, as breaks like this were few and far between.

In her case, there wasn't much to prepare, maybe a few changes of clothes and, of course, her small box that she wouldn't leave behind for anything.

As for her emotions, it could be said that she had reached a certain balance. They were no longer as turbulent as before, but she fully understood that Akko was someone she considered special. In fact, she had already planned to discuss this with someone outside of the academy. It wouldn't be anyone from school for obvious reasons, but there was a person in her family who was like a second mother to her, and that person was Anna.

She finished writing the letter, notifying of her imminent arrival at the Mansion, along with the need to discuss a certain matter with the head maid. She took the seal with her family crest, placed it on the letter, and recited a small spell to summon her familiar. After giving the letter to her familiar and petting it for a while, she sent it off to deliver the message. Just as she did, she heard someone calling her name, "Diana, we need your help with something." She stood up, adjusted her uniform, and continued with her day.

.

It had been two days since she left, and she was now flying on her broom heading straight home. The journey had been quite peaceful, without any mishaps. As she approached the familiar structure of her family's estate, she began to slow down and descend. When she arrived at what could be called the hangar, she found Anna waiting for her. "Welcome, Miss Cavendish," Anna greeted her with a slight curtsy. "Hello, Anna. As always, thank you for receiving me," Diana replied. "No, Miss, the pleasure is mine," the head maid responded. The young witch dismounted her broom and placed it in a small closet designated for that purpose. As they walked towards the mansion, Diana took off her hat and handed it to Anna. "Is Aunt Daryl at home?" she asked. "Yes, ma'am, she is in her office attending to some matters," the head maid answered as she placed the hat in a wardrobe. "Anna, please let her know that I will come to greet her later, first I want to change."

.

.

Diana finished her conversation with Anna and made her way to her room. As she reached her door, she entered, turned around, and closed it behind her. She walked directly to her main desk where she kept a teddy bear she had been given as a child. She gazed at it for a few seconds and then recited a spell, causing a small box to appear. She picked it up and placed it next to the teddy bear. Taking out the rest of her belongings, she organized everything accordingly and changed into a more casual attire, if it could be called that.

Due to her lineage, she always had to dress elegantly, even at home.

She caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror and noticed the ribbon on her wrist. Reciting a spell, she restored it to its original state. This was a routine she followed every morning at Luna Nova, but she would have to conserve her wand's energy a bit more at home.

Diana exited her room and made her way directly to her aunt's office. Upon reaching the door, she knocked twice and waited for a response. When she heard the voice from the other side, she entered the room.

Her aunt, Daryl, was seated at her desk, and Diana greeted her, saying, "Aunt Daryl." The older woman looked up and replied, "Oh, hello Diana. I see you've returned." After the response, Diana spoke, "Yes, I came back for a few weeks due to the vacation." Daryl looked at her and said, "Well, not wanting to waste any more time, I hope you enjoy your stay here." Diana turned to leave and said, "And I certainly will. See you later, Aunt." Paying little attention to any further response, she continued on her way.

Walking through the hallways, she glanced at one of the clocks and saw that it was only 10 AM. 'Right, I left school early,' she thought while deciding about what to do, and an idea came to her mind. She turned around and headed in the direction she wanted to go. After a brief stop in her room to change for the occasion, she found herself standing in the stables.

What better way to start the vacation than by practicing some horseback riding?

She walked through each of the stalls, warmly greeting all the horses there. She caressed them affectionately, and they responded in kind. When she had visited every horse, she made her way to the back where her best friend, Meek, was waiting. They had grown up together, and she had learned all the basics alongside him. Not to mention, she always found in the majestic animal a form of escape, especially when she had lost her family.

She entered the stable and gently held Meek's muzzle as she said, "Hello, Meek, I'm back." He immediately responded, nuzzling her and playfully tickling her. After the affectionate reunion, Diana went through the necessary procedures to mount the horse. Once everything was secured and ready, she took a small leap, and Meek welcomed her without any issues. They left the stable and started with small trots that gradually picked up speed. As they reached their maximum velocity, Diana decided to perform some maneuvers she was accustomed to. Seeing that Meek accepted them without any problem, they continued in this manner for a while.

.

For Diana, this was her way of disconnecting from reality. Whenever she went out to practice with her steed, there was no Luna Nova, no Cavendish surname, nothing existed. She would retreat into the past and become that carefree little girl without any responsibilities.

.

.

.

The sun began to set, and Diana, upon noticing this, decided it was enough for the day. She returned to the stables and left Meek in his designated spot, not before giving him a little more affection. She then went back to her room, took a quick shower, and dressed up before heading to the dining room for dinner.

.

.

The dinner had been exquisite as always, and this time the chef had outdone himself because Diana had returned home. As she was about to get up to go back to her room and rest, she heard Anna speak, "Miss, wouldn't this be a good time to discuss what you mentioned in the letter?" Oh right, Akko. It's not that she had forgotten, it was just the stress of coming home and facing her aunt, with whom she obviously don't get along, and then all the practice with Meek. It completely distracted her from the most important matter at hand. She looked at Anna for a moment and replied, "Yes, Anna, I'll meet you in my room."

.

.

.

She was sitting in the chair by the window in her room, completely lost in her thoughts. Her main concern was how to approach the topic with the maid. 'Will she have an answer? Will it be enough to finally define this feeling that I've had for some time now?' There was a knock on the door, and Diana sighed.

She stood up, opened the door, and there was Anna, waiting for her to give her the go-ahead. Stepping aside and closing the door once Anna had entered, they both walked over to a small table used for afternoon tea.

"Well, Miss Diana, how may I assist you?" Anna asked, and the young witch took a moment to gather her strength before speaking. "Anna, the thing is, lately I've been feeling different about a particular person."

"May I know what kind of feelings they are?" – Anna

"I don't know exactly, I just know that I want to see her, get closer to her, connect in different ways, learn about her life, and other things." – Diana

"It could be that you want to be friends with this girl." - Anna

"I don't think so, Anna. If I wanted to be her friend, I would have felt these same feelings towards other people, and she's the only one who evokes them." – Diana

"Then, Miss, I'm not sure if it would be imprudent to say this, but I believe the only logical answer is that you feel love for this young woman." – Anna

When she heard that word coming out of her maid's mouth, everything started to make more sense. The feelings and reactions she had experienced now had a reason behind them. But as some answers appeared, so did other questions, such as how and when.

All of this had awakened with her departure from Luna Nova, but she couldn't find a valid reason to feel this way.

Perhaps it was Akko's personality, her determination and dedication, or her courage.

She had to find out, and for that, it was necessary to meet Akko again.

And so, she set a new goal for herself.

"Thank you, Anna. This was what I needed to know."

"It's always a pleasure, Miss."
