Hope you brought the tissue box this week! Cause this is one I'm affectionately titling "Mina's Worst Day" hope you're ready!

None of it felt real. Even as the hours passed, and surely Nepgear left to finish what she had started. To 'save the world' she said. Save the world? But really?

What world was there if they weren't there?

Mina felt entirely numb as she aimlessly started meandering down the long halls of the place she had called home for these oh so many years. As if trying to find something she knew she would never find, because it had been stolen from her. Ripped from her hands. Eventually, maybe instinctively found herself walking into a room she had been in countless times, usually in tow with two rowdy troublemakers who didn't want to go to bed for the night.

Today, however, she was alone.

As Mina looked around the room, she couldn't help but notice how empty it felt, even if it was filled to the brim with toys the kids had been showered in over the years.

Maybe she spoiled them?

None of it felt real.

Eventually Mina's eyes caught on the desk the two children shared. The ordinarily messy desk instead was very organized as a solitary drawing lay in the center. As Mina's eyes caught it, she gently picked it up.

"Us and our best friends"

It read at the bottom, the two illustrators pictured, with a black haired figure next to them, and… lilac hair.

Then it all hit Mina. All at once.

They were gone.

They were dead.

She had stolen them from her.

Mina felt her body collapse as she clutched the drawing to her chest, tears cascading down her face. She knew Kei would probably miss Noire, and Chika would certainly have to be talked off the edge. But Mina?

She lost her babies.

"Rom… Ram…"

Never again would she see their sweet smiles. Their rambunctious energy. Their ingenious, and sometimes cruel pranks. Never again would she get to see how happy they were to receive even the simplest gifts. Never again would she get to tuck them in at night, reading them a tale from one of their many books.

Where did she even go from here? What was the point of continuing? If she couldn't even protect two innocent girls? Her girls. She couldn't save them anymore.

The days would bleed into weeks as Mina couldn't even manage to get herself out of bed most days. And if she hadn't received a call, today would likely have proved to be no different. But today…

"Hello Mina," An old friend had called. And despite working for her. She couldn't refuse her friend.

"Hello Histoire" Mina's raspy voice returned, as Histoire could immediately tell the difference in the blue haired woman. Gritting her teeth to force down the emotions, she continued her mission.

"I'm sure you are well aware of what has transpired… And I need not repeat the sacrifices that had to be made. But… as we move forward, we believe it would be best for the future of Lowee to ally itself with Planeptune" Histoire explained, as she could see the crack in Mina's features,

"Work… with… her?" Mina could feel herself breaking again, she wanted her to work with Nepgear? She… She… "That monster stole my babies from me! Make her give them back! Give them back to me!" Mina gripped her fractured heart as her body attempted to produce more tears, as if she hadn't long since ran out of them to cry, her arms soon falling to her side as her whole body sobbed, "How am I supposed to work with her!?"

Mina didn't know what to do, she knew, perhaps better than anyone, that what Histoire had said was true, and that it was best for Lowee to work with Planeptune. But…

How was she supposed to look that monster in the eyes?

The sight in front of Histoire made her want to hurl. Even as an artificial being, nothing about this felt right. Mina was usually the calm, collected, level headed, kind oracle. To see her like this broke Histoire's heart. She just wanted this nightmare to be over. She just wanted to wake up. To a world the biggest of her problems was how she was going to get Neptune to work. She just wanted to see that goofy smile again…

"Mina… I understand I truly do-"

"How!? How could you possibly understand! She's still alive! They meant everything to me! And they were stolen from me! I… failed them. I… couldn't protect them…" Mina cried, as Histoire felt a shadow cover her eyes, as Mina felt her own grow wide as plates, she had never once in her whole life seen this.

Histoire crying.

"I know it may not seem like it… but even amongst the many CPUs I have worked with in the long history of Planeptune, Neptune was my favorite." Histoire explained, as she felt herself starting to sob, as Mina felt herself breaking even more, "I know it must be odd to hear. I am an artificial person. I'm not real, right? I know it must sound impossible… But… I truly viewed Neptune as as close to a daughter as I will ever have. It's all my fault… If I hadn't sent them that day… It's all my fault… I'm so sorry…" Histoire had broken into full sobs at this point as she covered her leaking eyes with her hands, desperately trying to wipe away the tears, "Neptune, I'm so sorry… please find it in you… to forgive me"

Mina had heard enough of this. Somehow forcing her numb body into action, she wrapped her arms around the diminutive oracle,

"You know she would have. She would never have blamed you" Mina gently explained, as the women shared the embrace to let out all their sorrow, guilt, and tragedy. Both of them knew what they had to do. They knew the world they had to build.

"Histoire. Let me talk to her" Mina gently requested as she stood up, resolve solidified in her mind, as Histoire gently nodded, wiping away the last of her tears,

After a long, and quiet journey, Mina found herself in the house of the soul CPU.

"She should be in her room, she hasn't come out since that day. Good luck, Mina" Histoire gently nodded, as Mina made her way into the room, the occupant soon flipping her eyes to spot the intruder into her area, eyes soon widening as she looked at the scholarly oracle.

"Nepgear" She simply began, trying to hide the venom in her voice, taking a deep breath as she walked over, sitting down on the corner of the bed Nepgear had curled herself on, noticing the candidate had no intention of replying, Mina began, "They meant the world to me you know?" She rhetorically asked, as she noticed the lilac haired CPU start shaking,

"I'm so sorry" She gently whispered, as Mina let a somber smile form on her face,

"Were they at least brave?" She asked, as Nepgear bit her lip,

"They were so brave"

"Heh… of course they were." Mina wiped her eyes, "Nepgear, I think they would have wanted you to have this" She explained, as she reached into her pocket, withdrawing a certain drawing she had stumbled up in their room. Handing it to her, She could see Nepgear's lip start to quiver, as she clutched the drawing to her chest.

"Rom… Ram… Uni…" Why her? Why did everyone trust her? Why did this have to happen? Her friends. Her first friends…

"Nepgear? Do you know what my dream is?" seeing her shake her head, Mina somberly continued, "I want to create a world where no little girl ever has to die alone, and scared. A world where no mother has to mourn her babies." She eventually turned to the sole CPU, as she gently wrapped her arms around her, "Will you help me create that world? Nepgear? That's what they would have wanted, right?" She asked, as Nepgear clutched to her,

"Yes… Please help me…" Nepgear begged, as Mina clutched her to her, looking up to the ceiling reflectively as a torn smile worked its way onto her face,

"Rom. Ram. Smile down on me, because your momma is doing her best" She said, as she gasped, if even for a moment, she saw perhaps a mirage,

"Do your best, Mina"

"Haha! Look at that dummy crying over us!"
