Olivia followed Elliot to his hotel room, knowing this looked more salacious than it was. She needed to be somewhere else. Anywhere else. Somewhere where she could just be. Elliot had always been a safe space for her and she felt herself instinctively clinging to him.

Elliot opened the door, allowing her to step inside first. She reached for the light switch and flipped on the lights. A tasteful room with two queen beds greeted her. Elliot moved past her, dropping his bag on the corner desk, before turning back towards her, "I have some work to catch up on so I'll be out of your way. Take a nap, shower, watch TV, whatever."

"Thanks El." He seemed to hesitate, like he wanted to say something but thought the better of it. Instead he nodded and began setting up his laptop, and pulling files from his bag.

Liv looked around the room and decided a nap wasn't a bad idea. Her phone kept pinging in her purse so she pulled it out and silenced it. She just needed some goddamn rest.

Elliot had some files set on one of the beds so she flipped the comforter back on the other one and slipped between the crisp sheets. She sighed as her body relaxed for the first time in months. It was always this way with Elliot. He seemed to intuitively know what she needed and how to make her feel safe and protected. She missed that.

She settled into the bed further and took a minute to watch Elliot work. It felt like no time had passed, but at the same time their partnership seemed a lifetime ago. He looked the same, working off his computer screen, leg bouncing and pen tapping to maintain his concentration. She missed that too. She missed him.

Her eyes fell shut and she drifted off to sleep, feeling more complete than she had in two years.

Amanda yawned before blinking her eyes a few times, trying to stay awake. Amaro dropped a coffee on her desk, and she gave him a grateful smile. The trial took most of their daytime hours so they were working late to not get behind on their caseloads. She took a sip of coffee right as a frantic Brian Cassidy bursted into the precinct.

"Do any of you answer your goddamn phones?!" Amanda picked up her phone and sure enough she had four missed calls.

Nick looked apologetic, "Sorry Cassidy, we just…" Brian cut him off, still irate.

"Where's Liv?" He asked while scanning the squad room.

"She's not here." Nick looked confused.

The color drained from Cassidy's face. "I got home from work and she wasn't at the apartment. I called her eight times, and she isn't answering." Cassidy lifted his phone to dial Liv's number again.

Amaro jumped into action, "It's not like Lewis could get near her, I mean we would have definitely heard something about that by now." He picked up his phone and scrolled through his messages. "How long since you heard from her?" Amaro asked.

"I last talked to her this morning. I texted her this afternoon to see how things were going and she didn't respond. I figured she needed some space, but when I came home she wasn't there…" His mind went to the worst case scenario.

Amaro dialed a number, "I'm going to check the ERs, maybe she got in an accident or something."

Amanda sat quietly, watching the men freak out, but she wasn't quite sure how to play this. She knew Liv left the courthouse with Stabler, and she was probably still with him. Knowing what she knew about what things transpired between the two she hesitated to out Liv to her boyfriend. However, she really didn't want to set the entire NYPD into a panic over a missing sergeant who wasn't really missing. God knows Liv deserved some privacy, but Amanda wasn't sure how to diffuse this situation without making the fallout worse for Olivia.

After much debate, Amaro calling two emergency rooms, and Cassidy suggesting they track her phone, Amanda decided she needed to come clean before this became an all out search.

She hovered in the background for most of this dramatic interaction, but she finally piped up. "I think I know where she is." She hesitated, and sighed, "Or at least who she's with."

Both Amaro and Cassidy gaped at her wide eyed. "Why haven't you said anything?" Amaro's temper flared.

Amanda shifted uncomfortably. "I talked to her before I left the court house, and I left her, " she let out a breath, knowing Cassidy would explode at her admission, "with Elliot." She finished.

As predicted, Cassidy's face shifted from white to red. He dialed Liv's number again, and threw his phone into a nearby chair when it went straight to voicemail. "What the hell Amanda?! Why didn't you say anything?"

Amaro's demeanor changed as well, his eyes also questioning her secretive motives.

"Um. I." She tried to explain herself without revealing any intimate details Liv had provided. "I knew she was safe, and she trusts Elliot. She obviously needed time away from everything, and everyone." She stared pointedly at Cassidy who was now pacing.

Amanda knew everyone's thoughts were headed to the most indecent scenario so she hurried and added, "She needed a break, and she hasn't seen Stabler in a while. I think she needed time with a friend who isn't so close to this situation." Amanda bit her lip, hoping this was enough to calm both these men down.

Cassidy slumped into a nearby desk chair, and Amaro leaned against his desk, obviously more relaxed. "So we just wait to hear from her, and hope everything is okay?"

Amanda folded her arms, "Yes." Olivia kept her life private, and Amanda wanted to respect that. If she wanted to be with Elliot she should be with Elliot, and it was no one's business but hers. She decided to shoot Liv a quick text, hoping maybe she could elicit some response. Maybe a woman would have more luck than the raving overprotective men in her life.
