Ch2

Chrysaor looked over his new form in the mirror. He appeared to be a young boy around the age of 12 and had jet black hair and a slim physique. At least I can hide my face again. He put on the dark black sunglasses and the face mask, as far as the mortals were concerned they were a medical necessity.

I am Chris Caspian from the Cayman Islands. he took a deep breath as he combed his hair. He still couldn't believe he was a normal demigod now, a part of him missed immortality but it beat being locked in a cell or dead. It had been about a week since father had taken his immortality away along with most of his powers making him a normal demigod now.

Reaching into his pocket he took out a gold pen that could turn into his sword when he needed it. At least I still have most of my powers and my reflexes are good. Stretching his arms he took a deep breath and put his pen back in his pocket. Triton is keeping an eye on me, probably to bitch to our father about every minor detail.

He left his dorm room and headed down the halls of Yancy Academy. Most of the mortals left him alone, which was smart of them though he appeared to be an easy target to those unfortunate enough to try and pick on him.

Looking down the hall he saw the person he was looking for, "Hey Percy how's it going," he said coolly.

His half brother looked at him and nodded, "H-Hey Chris I was just heaving to Latin class."

"Lets go together," He said with a smile.

"Sure," Percy said as they walked down the halls. He didn't blame his half brother for being cautious around him, the Mist may have fooled everyone else that they were friends but it was always harder to fool demigods, especially children of the big three.

"Are people still giving you trouble?" He asked.

"Not since you broke someone's nose for trying to hit me," Percy said as they entered the classroom. They sat next to Grover Underwood, who gave him a nervous look and looked down at his chair.

The satyr in disguise avoided looking at him the entire class like he normally did. He smiled at the teacher during the entire lesson until it was time to work on classwork together. "Do you need any help?" He asked as he saw Percy's face contort in frustration.

"I'm sorry its my dyslexia I can't read much," Percy muttered shaking his head.

"No problem the story is about Julius Caesar," he said as he explained the words slowly. He worked with various people in his life but he found it weird being a teacher.

"Wow you know Latin well," Percy said.

"It's like a second language to me," he said. "Come lets go over it together."

Percy nodded while Grover kept quiet while watching him carefully. "Just remember to take you time, if you're too frustrated you won't be able to read it well," he said.

"Thanks," Percy said as the bell rang.

"Lets get lunch," he said as they stood up.

Grover kept a small distance from him as they headed towards the cafeteria, "Hey loser what are doing here? Watch where you are going," Said an irritating voice.

"Oh great not Nancy," Percy muttered as they turned around to see an ugly looking mortal girl bump into Grover nearly knocking him down.

"Hey watch it!" Percy snapped as he caught Grover.

"What are you going to do about it?" Nancy sneered while her friends snickered.

He watched as his half brother's face boiled with anger. Well here I go he sighed as he stepped in front of the girl. "Leave us be now," He said coolly. "I already warned you about messing with my friends."

Some of Nancy's friends looked uneasy but Nancy just sneered at him, "Oh yeah what are you going to do about it?" She pushed him, which was her mistake.

He grabbed her arm and swept her leg sending her to the ground. Nancy screamed in pain as he twisted her arm behind her back, "Don't mess with us again," he said coldly before getting up.

"What's going on," said a familiar voice. He looked up and saw his other brother in disguise, "Hey Tristan she just fell."

Tristan looked at him with a frown and then at Percy and Grover who looked at him in shock. "Chris lets have a talk, the rest of you can leave," Tristan said through gritted teeth.

"I'll be with you guys in a bit," he said to Percy and Grover.

Percy nodded as the crowd dispersed. Nancy's friends helped her up and she left glaring at Percy and Grover. "I thought I told you to keep a low profile," Triton said once they were in a hallway alone.

"I did but she attacked first," he said with a shrug.

"I don't care we can't let them get too suspicious of us," Triton said as he looked out the window.

He looked at his older brother and frowned, "When do you plan on getting them out of here?"

"That is not up to us we are only to guard him until they decide to take him to camp," Triton said. "Be careful I think the enemy may be onto us."

"And who would be our enemy?" He asked.

"Anyone that means to harm him. With me around though they will be cautious or foolish so it will be up to you to make sure he is safe," Triton said with a hard stare. "How well does he trust you?"

"He is friendly but he isn't a complete fool," he said. "His friend already doubts who I am."

"The mortals assume both of us are his friends, lets keep it that way. Just continue to gain his trust," Triton said. "Do not disappoint our father." His brother's gaze bore into him, his eyes were never friendly and always seemed to have derision in them.

He clenched his fists, "I won't." Good thing he was wearing a face mask, Triton always spoke to him as if he were beneath him and he really wanted to let him feel his sword again.

Why do bastards like you get in the myths while people like me never get into them. It was a question he always wondered, was it because his mother was a monster? Probably not since his brother was famous. When I become famous I'll rub it in your face Triton.

When he arrived at the cafeteria he sat across from Percy and Grover. "Did you get into trouble?" Percy asked.

"No Tristan just wanted to talk to me," he sighed as he drank a milk carton with a straw that went under his mask.

"Tristan he is a few grades above us right?" Percy asked rubbing his head while Grover looked down at the table nervously.

"He is. Though he is a bit troublesome to deal with," he said with a tight grin under his mask.

"Huh. Oh did you say your parents did again?" Percy asked.

"My mother died young and my father got lost at sea," he said meeting his half brother's gaze. "I have a brother who does his own thing but we don't talk that much."

"Really? My mom said that my dad was lost at sea too," Percy said while Grover bit his lip and said nothing. "Sorry about your mom, I didn't know."

"No worries," he said. I honestly never met her but in a way I always wanted to meet her though I wonder how that meeting will go. Medusa was his mother, one of the most famous beings in Greek mythology something that helped him gain a reputation.

"I honestly can't wait to see my mom again," Percy sighed. "School is a bit of a pain, the only problem is my stepdad."

A dark look spread across his half brother's face. He didn't know the details but according to Triton Percy's mother married an abusive pig. What a pity to be married to a brute.

"Oh Chris why do you cover your face?" Percy asked. "Are you sick or something?"

"I have sensitive eyes," he said quickly. "Its best my face remains covered." As far as the school was concerned he had a medical condition. No one can see my face no one. He was always sensitive about showing his face, it wasn't because he was ugly but more out of habit.

Grover eyed him carefully but said nothing as the bell rang. "Man I can't stand this place," Percy sighed as he picked up his tray.

"See you around," he said as Grover eyed him carefully before following Percy out of the cafeteria.

He got up and through his milk carton away and quickly found Grover heading towards his own class down a deserted hallway. "Have a moment satyr?" He asked softly.

Grover's posture stiffened, "What are you?" His tone was a mixture of fear and caution.

He rested against the locker, "Don't worry we have the same goal. That centaur would have already ordered Percy out of here if he sensed we were trying to harm or take Percy away from you."

Grover gripped his walking braces, "I'm his protector. I won't let anything happen to him."

"Like I said we share the same goal. Don't worry I'll help you if necessary there are those that wish to harm him," he whispered leaning down. "The enemy may already be on his tail keep be extra diligent."

He patted the Satyr's shoulder before heading down the hallway. I can't stand being a child again but I want my own glory even if I have to help my younger brother. He gripped his fists as he thought of his predicament. I'll show everyone who looked down on me what I can do.

The next day he was getting ready for the school field trip. Damn it Triton left me with dealing with this he sighed as Percy got in a shouting match with that hag Nancy while Grover tried to calm him down.

Enough of this already he sighed and stood up and walked right up between Nancy and Percy, "Leave them alone or else," he said in a low tone.

Fear passed in her eyes before Mrs. Dodds patted her shoulder "Sit down all of you," she said giving him a cold look. The hairs on his neck stood up just looking at her.

Something isn't right about her. Damn it if I were immortal I would be able to sense if she were a normal mortal or not. He didn't have this woman for math but occasionally would see her out of the corner of his eyes watching him. His sense were telling him she was a threat, something about her wasn't right.

"Percy don't mind her if she tries anything against you or Percy I'll deal with it," he said looking at his half brother who was shaking with anger. "Just don't get into any trouble you can't afford to."

"Fine," Percy muttered as the trip continued on. The rest of the trip was uneventful though Mrs. Dodds kept frowning at him. What's her problem? Just looking at her made the hairs on his neck stand up, looking around Mr. Brunner and the other students weren't paying attention to her.

Percy was still fuming by the time they arrived at the museum and toured the Greek mythology exhibit. "Chris why don't you tell me about this picture here," Mr. Brunner asked pointing to a large painting on the wall.

He frowned beneath his mask and looked at the picture of his mother being slain by the warrior Perseus. "That is the death of Medusa," he said calmly. Right before I was born too. He never met his mother though he was told he inherited some of her traits such as her eyes. "Perseus slew her and took her head and used it until he gave it to Athena."

Mr. Brunner gave him a knowing nod, "What can we learn from this story?"

He gripped his fists, "We shouldn't judge a book by its cover. If you think about it her predicament wasn't her fault. But Perseus was a brave hero to defeat her, I'll give him that."

Mr. Brunner nodded, "Now what else can we gain from the story of Perseus?"

"That she was ugly," Nancy said causing her friends to giggle. It took all of his willpower to not want to knock her teeth out.

"Now we shouldn't be quick to judge," Mr. Brunner said. "Mr. Jackson what do you think?"

Percy looked as if he just wanted to go home, "I um think it must not have been easy for him to do so, it was definitely heroic effort."

Looking up at the painting he didn't really know how to feel about his mother. When he was younger he wanted to know her even if everyone called her a monster. It wasn't her fault a certain goddess cursed her. He shot a glare at a portrait of Athena before they were dismissed for lunch.

He sat by the fountain looking into the water lost in his thoughts. I wonder how would I have turned out if mother gave birth to me and my brother before your demise? It was a thought he mused about when he was bored. I could've been a hero or still a nobody.

"AHH!" screamed a female voice.

He jumped up from his seat and saw the water grab Nancy while Percy stared her down. Uh oh this isn't good. He exchanged a nervous look with Grover as people began to murmur.

"Percy Jackson come with me immediately!" Mrs. Dodds said.

"It wasn't his fault it was me," Grover said quickly.

"I don't care Mr. Jackson come with me," Mrs. Dodds said with a low growl.

The hairs on his neck stood up as Percy followed her into the building. This isn't good. He quickly went over to Grover and pulled him to the side, "What happened?" He asked

"I don't think he meant it," Grover said with wide eyes. "That woman isn't good, I have to get Mr. Brunner."

"I'll go and find Percy," He said. Grover nodded and the two quickly went their ways. He dashed into the building his hand gripping his golden pen. Dashing down a hallway he heard various growls from a room.

He entered and saw his half brother slash at a kindly one with a celestial bronze sword. Percy's knees shaking staring down three hellhounds with a sword in his hands. "Look out!" he said as he took out his pen and quickly turned it into his golden sword

The hellhounds barely had time to react as he stabbed one in the head and turned to dust. Another hound tried to jump at him but he quickly slashed at it. Good thing I still have my reflexes. He turned and saw his half brother stare at him in shock as he took out the last hell hound.

"What are you?" Percy asked as the sword turned back to a pen.

Before he could answer Mr. Brunner came inside, "There you two are. The trip is about to end now and Mr. Jackson please give me my pen back

AN: So Chrysaor will have the strength of a normal son of Poseidon but will still have his battle reflexes and wit. Remember how strong Apollo was when he was turned into a mortal? Well Chrysaor will still have his skills with a sword and be as strong as any normal son of Poseidon. I've also given him some powers from his mom
