Ch3

Chrysaor sat next to Triton as Grover and Chiron debated what to do. "I can't afford to mess up with Percy. What do I do now that a kindly one is after him," Grover said his face pale with fear. "He is getting on to it. We can't keep it up for long."

You got that right. He had done his best to brush off Percy's questions about what happened, sometimes going out of his way to avoid his half-brother but it wasn't easy. He knows that I know what happened I'm almost tempted to tell him but I fear the repercussions.

"We'll just chalk it up to his imagination," Chiron said before turning to him. "Thanks for helping him."

"No problem," he said shrugging his shoulders. "She obviously came prepared to deal with both of us. I won't let anyone harm him don't worry."

"We'll just continue to deny what happened around him," Triton said as he stood up. "I'll report to my father."

Chiron nodded, "Fine lets just be cautious for now."

He and Triton left the room and headed down the dark halls. "Good luck little brother I fear that I might not be able to help here for much longer," Triton said once they were alone.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Me being here draws attention. Next time it might be something stronger, or worse Zeus himself may decide to look into us," Triton said as he looked out the window. "I'll report to father what happened and leave the rest here to you, remember don't disappoint us."

He frowned at Triton as he walked down the hallway. Stuck up bastard. With that, he retired for the night. That night he dreamt of fire. "Get him he's a monster!" a man yelled as various people threw rocks at him.

He screamed and ran from the mob. Why must they hate me? A rock hit him sending him to the ground. Turning around he stared at the man with the bronze sword in hand.

"Die you monster!" The man said with a sneer. He glared at the man, tears falling down his eyes as he brought his sword down.

However, the man froze midswing, "You bastard what sorcery is this!"

He felt the power in his eyes as the man froze in place. Laughing he got up and pushed the man down and took his sword from him. I'll show you a monster He smiled down at the terrified man as he brought the sword down on his neck. He laughed as the man's lifeless body fell to the ground blood soaking the ground.

The next morning he woke up with tears in his eyes. Damn I didn't expect old memories to come, I guess mortality comes with other negatives. He sighed as he cleaned his face. Brother always had it easier, everyone wanted to be friends with the cool winged horse not the weirdo.

Getting up he looked at his reflection in the face, his red eyes looked redder than usual as he put on his shades and face mask. I'll show you Triton I'll make a name of myself despite my current circumstances.

That day he was helping Percy in Latin class. His half brother's face was red with frustration as he tried to read a text. "Don't worry just take it easy," he said as they reviewed the book they were sharing.

"I don't know I'm just sick of everything," Percy muttered shaking his head.

"Don't worry you'll get the hang of it eventually," he said as he took out his gold pen and underlined a word. "This word is Chiron while this one is Charon," he said putting a star next to it.

Percy frowned at his pen with a wary look, "Where did you get that pen from?"

"I've had it forever," he said putting it away. "Anyway don't worry about all of this it'll work itself out."

"What happened to Mrs. Dodds?" Percy asked with a piercing look.

"She is gone for now," he said before leaning over and saying softly "You'll understand everything soon don't worry."

Percy looked like he wanted to ask more but said nothing. For the last few weeks, he kept quiet and Percy didn't ask him anything else. It was the day before the semester ended that Grover approached him outside his room.

"What is it?" He asked inviting him in.

Grover sighed and avoided his gaze, "Listen Chiron trusts you and I need your help just in case things go badly."

"Well trouble sort of runs in the family," he said. "You're planning on taking directly to camp right?"

Grover nodded, "I can't afford any mistakes not again. Also, Percy is my friend and I hate lying to him."

He also is my brother. "Fine what do you need me to do?" Normally he didn't take orders from others, especially a satyr but he figured his father wouldn't be happy if Percy died on the way to camp.

"Follow me just in case we are followed or something," Grover said looking at the ground. "I don't want to mess up again, especially with Percy."

"Fine I'll help. I wanted to be a hero so I guess this is my first chance," he said. "The enemy will probably strike again, this time with reinforcements so be prepared."

"I honestly hope this goes well," Grover said before leaving his room.

That next morning he gathered what few possessions he had and kept an eye on Percy and Grover as they left. I've never been to the demigod camp hopefully it is better than this crap hole they call a school. He followed them on the subway and got in the subway car behind them.

He kept his golden pen close as he watched Percy and Grover talk in the subway car in front of them before getting off at a certain point. Damn it these crowds are an annoyance. He forced himself through the crowds of people as he watched Percy and Grover get off.

"Damn it where are they," he swore as he found himself in front of a bathroom. He looked around and couldn't find any sign of either of them. He eventually saw Grover come out of the bathroom with a panicked look on his face, "Where is Percy?" He asked the satyr louder than he intended.

"I-I don't know I thought he went in the bathroom too," Grover said his eyes wide with horror.

The satyr then went on some rambling about trying to tell Percy the truth and some cut string but he cut him off. "Enough! You're his friend where would he go," he said gripping his fists tightly. I can't believe you let him get away.

"I know he lives not far from here but his home life isn't good," Grover said scratching his head.

"He was closer with his mom if he were to be with her where would they go?" He asked. "I'm sure he would want to see her after so long and not with his stepfather."

Grover looked up at him as if a light bulb went off in his head, "He talked about this cabin they went to, I'm sure they would go there." The satyr looked up at him with a tense expression, "I'll head over there we'll meet up at camp. I know his mom they'll trust me."

"Sounds good where should we meet?" He asked. Grover told him the locations of the camp and the rendezvous point where they would meet up not far from it. "Fine I'll see what I can do."

"Alright I'll see you there," Grover said before quickly running off.

"Well I always wanted to visit New York," he muttered as he stepped out of the train station. The cold air of the city was a contrast to the warm Mediterranean he knew. Taking a cab he headed towards the rendezvous point where Grover told him, the sky getting darker and stormier by the minute.

Damn it looks like we'll have a storm. He got out of the cab and decided to walk the rest of the way, the wind was picking up and rain was starting to fall as he walked along the tree line. Come on satyr find him quickly. He gripped his pen tightly as he walked around the area ignoring the wind and rain.

It was already dark when he heard the sounds of a car in the distance. Gripping his pen he headed towards the sound of the car and that was when he heard the sound of a roar in the distance.

"Damn it," he swore as he drew his sword. His golden sword glistened in the rain as he saw the minotaur in the distance. The monster had rammed the car carrying Percy, Grover, and who he imagined was Percy's mother.

Adrenaline rushed through him as he watched the creature charge at them. "Hey over here!" He yelled at the minotaur. His heart raced, had he been immortal he wouldn't have had anything to fear but now his body shook as he swung his sword at it.

The creature blocked it with its hands, though he slashed its arm causing it to bleed. "Get him to the camp now!" He yelled at Grover.

Grover nodded as he grabbed a stunned Percy by the arm and pulled him away while his mother tried to get back in the car. Crap this thing is stronger than I thought he swung his sword at the minotaur causing it to roar in pain before it punched him back, the air was nearly knocked out of him as he was thrown against a tree. Shit that actually hurt.

He adjusted the glasses on his face and spat out blood, he hadn't felt this type of pain in a while. Gripping his sword tightly and ignoring the blood on his arm he charged at the Minotaur. He saw the minotaur knock Grover down as if he were nothing and roaring in the night. I can't be afraid now. I may not have my immortality but I still have my skills.

The minotaur crashed into the car but Percy's mother managed to get out of it in time. "Run!" He yelled. He heard Percy scream in the distance, his half brother charged at the creature but it was faster than them both.

Before he could get at it the minotaur grabbed Percy's mother by the throat and she turned to golden dust. He stared in shock as he watched the minotaur turn to Percy I was too late. Percy fell to his knees tears falling down his face.

The minotaur then began to charge at his brother. "Oh no you don't!" He yelled as he charged at the creature. Bringing his sword down with all the force he could muster his sword cut through the minotaur's arm causing it to bleed profusely.

The creature roared in pain and that was when Percy charged at the creature taking it by the horn. "Are you crazy!" He yelled. But to his surprise, he saw Percy pulling the minotaur's horn with all his strength.

The minotaur roared in pain as Percy managed to tear it off. Well he is strong I'll give him that. "Get back I can take this," he said as the creature got up and glared at them with

Percy shook his head, "I'm not much but I'll help you." His half brother's body shook while rage filled his eyes. "He killed my mom this is personal."

He sighed, "Fine lets do this." He gripped his sword tightly and stood next to Percy as the minotaur got up and charged at them. The creature only had one arm left but he knew better than to underestimate a wounded creature.

Well lets see if this can do it. He carefully lifted his glasses and made eye contact with the creature. Power surged in his eyes as he stared directly into the minotaur causing it to freeze in its place, his eyes weren't as strong as his mother's but they could still freeze things in place. Not as strong as it was before but it'll do for now. "Come on it won't last forever," he yelled as he gripped his sword and charged.

The minotaur remained frozen in place as he chopped off the last horn and brought his sword down on its remaining arm. The monster twitched in pain but remained frozen in place as he and Percy charged at it, "Lets end this."

Percy only nodded and plunged his horn into the creature's chest while he went for the head. The creature only groaned in pain as it disintegrated into gold dust. Well that was something He fell to his knee using his sword as a crutch. His heart raced in his chest as blood fell down his arm.

I helped slay the minotaur. He laughed as he held the other horn he chopped off in his hands. Carefully gripping it he slowly stood up.

"G-Grover," Percy muttered pointing to the unconscious satyr before passing out.

I wonder if this was in the stories. He sighed and took a few deep breaths as he put away his sword. He put the horn he chopped off into his bag before retrieving Grover and Percy's bodies.

"Th-The camp is that way," Grover muttered pointing into the woods with a weak finger.

"Alright hold on tight," he said as he supported them both and carefully walked towards it.

Good thing we aren't far from the camp. He walked carefully as he supported them both through the boundary line. The energy of the camp enveloped him as his body shook from carrying them both into the camp. He eventually reached a large wooden house and nearly collapsed as he tried to set them both down. Damn it Triton will rub it in my face about what happened to Percy's mother.

His heart raced as he knelt on the ground to regain his breath. "Well I don't think the ground is the best place for them to rest," said a familiar voice. Turning around he saw the Chiron in his centaur form walk up with a blonde girl.

"Are they the ones?" She asked looking at him and Percy with wide eyes.

"Not now Annabeth let them get some rest. Come on Chris I imagine you are exhausted," Chiron said as he went over and picked up Percy.

As soon as they got into the infirmary he collapsed on the bed while Chiron set Percy down on a bed while Grover was placed on a bed by the girl named Annabeth. "The minotaur attacked us," he said breathing heavily as he took out his horn and placed it next to him.

Annabeth's eyes widened as she looked at his horn and the horn in Percy's hands, "You both defeated the minotaur?"

"Annabeth not now they need to rest," Chiron said as he gave him a small cup of ambrosia. He quickly drained the cup from under his mask, it tasted like Ancient Greek wine mixed with rum. He felt his body relax as his strength was slowly restored.

"What was stolen? We need to know!" Annabeth said getting in his face.

He gave the girl an annoyed look and was tempted to push her away but luckily Chiron stepped in between them, "We'll talk later for now just rest.

The blonde girl looked disappointed but left the room with Chiron leaving him and his brother alone. "Well that was something," he muttered as he rested his head on the pillow and felt his heavy eyes close.

He dreamed of the seas that night. However, he wasn't on his ship but on his brother's back. "Higher fly higher!" He said.

Pegasus looked at him, "Fine but not too high or Zeus will get mad at us."

"Don't worry lets have fun," he said with a laugh. His brother smiled at him and flew over the seas.

"Brother take care of yourself ok?" Pegasus neighed while looking at him from the saddle.

He frowned, "I do but humans don't like me that much. They see me as mother."

"Well you aren't her remember that," Pegasus said. "Also don't be afraid to ask me for help. I'll always look after you."

He frowned and nodded. You always have helped me. I wish I could be as famous as you brother. Everyone loves you that's why they don't attack me when you are around.

When he awoke the next day his body was stiffer than usual, "I'm glad you're up," Chiron said.

He saw the centaur feed Percy ambrosia, his half brother was still unconscious but he noticed that Grover was gone. "How is he doing?" He asked.

"He is just exhausted," Chiron said as he set the spoon and bottle down. The centaur moved right next to him and folded his arms, "Welcome to Camp Half Blood Chris Caspian or should I say Chrysaor."

"Well I figured you would've confronted me about it sooner," he said resting in his bed.

"Last I heard you were pillaging the Mediterranean and now you are mortal," Chiron said with his arms folded. "Gossip still flows to me even during these days."

"It was to appease Lord Zeus," he grumbled. "I may have sacked some places sacred to him and with that object being stolen my father had to take action. So here I am I'm just a normal demigod now and was told to protect my brother."

Chiron looked at Percy and back at him, "The Fates work in mysterious ways."

"So what happens to us now?" He asked.

"For now both of you can just rest and recover," Chiron said. "I just ask that for now you don't tell Percy about your lineage, I don't want Percy to be overwhelmed by everything."

"That's understandable," he said as he played with his golden between his fingers. "Don't worry I won't tell him about me for now just keep who I am a secret from the camp for now."

Chiron nodded, "Sounds fair Now rest well."

His body ached so he didn't leave the infirmary he just stayed and rested looking at his younger sibling whose face was contorted in pain. You would've loved Pegasus, he always looked after others. He was close to his brother though he didn't see him often now since he had his own family and things to do.

Getting up he moved a stool next to Percy's bed and grabbed the bottle of ambrosia and poured some in a spoon. "Don't worry little brother I'll protect you," he muttered as he put the spoon to Percy's lips. It may have been due to the fact that he was mortal now and nearly died or maybe it was the memories of Pegasus helping him growing up but he didn't just want to leave a family member alone.

Later that evening Grover came in wearing an orange camp shirt, "Is he awake?"

He shook his head, "Not yet."

Grover nodded, "Well thanks for saving us." The satyr had a tense expression on his face as he sat down on the bed next to Percy. "I should've taken you with me."

"It's alright the enemy had their own plans," he sighed as he sat down on his bed.

"So you and him are related?" Grover asked softly.

He nodded, "Chiron doesn't want us to speak of it right now."

"I heard," Grover muttered. "Well thanks again and sorry for being so suspicious."

"Don't worry I understand that," he said looking down at Percy. "Lets just wait for Percy to wake up for now."

Grover nodded and the two remained inside and watched over him. It was the next day that Percy woke up groggily and looked at him, "Glad you're awake," he said.

"What? Where am I?" Percy asked as he eyed him carefully.

"Don't worry you're safe," Grover said as he proceeded to tell him about the camp.

AN: So for Chrysaor's eyes they can immobilize people but he has to maintain eye contact. I figured it would be cool to give him some powers from his mother. Also I'm doing my best to make sure the grammar is alright.
