Hello again, how y'all doing? Here's this month's chapter, do enjoy!

Aquila was the first one to wake up, not really surprising given how he'd always been an early bird. He took a deep breath, rubbed his eyes and began to get up with a groan, his old bones protesting.

He looked out the window, the first rays of sunlight were just beginning to light up the sky. He sighed and cracked his neck before he began putting on his armour, a process that took him only a few minutes. He checked the straps one last time, making sure everything was firmly secured before nodding to himself.

The old black prior took his fallen brother's helmet in his hands and moved towards the door and leaned on the frame, waiting for the others to wake up.

'Let them have their sleep,' he thought as he watched their sleeping forms. 'They have earned it.'

He sighed and gazed down at the white helm in his hands, gently rubbing a thumb along the surface of the face plate, right below where the eyes of the wearer would be, he had to fight back the tears that welled up in his eyes. It had been weeks since the battle of the Shard, but he still couldn't come to terms with Caius's death. All their time traveling hadn't given him time to mourn him properly, now though? Now he had all the time in the world, and the pain tortured his heart.

"Caius… If I'd only been there when you needed me," he whispered to the cold metal, as if talking to it would connect him with his younger brother. "First Amicia, now you… I hate to say that were right but…" he cut himself off with a pained sigh. "I outlived you both."

He rubbed his eyes and took a deep breath, stopping the tears, he really was too old for this, far too old.

His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps, Aquila looked out into the hall and saw the blonde woman from the night before, Glynda if he remembered right.

"Ah, good morning, I thought you and your people would still be asleep." She said as she approached.

"The others are, this is just me waking up early," He said, turning to face the blonde woman. "So, what's the purpose of you coming here?"

Glynda looked at him with a surprised expression. "How did you-?"

Aquila raised a hand to silence her, stopping her mid sentence. "I am far too old to believe in coincidences, there's a reason behind every action, time has taught me that much."

Glynda stared at him with an expression of surprise for the briefest of moments before speaking. "Ozpin wanted me to give you a tour of the academy, as well as showing you where you shall be staying for the foreseeable future."

"I thought we would be staying here," Aquila said as he waved a hand over the room where his brothers and sisters in arms rested.

"This was merely a temporary solution, I'll be showing you to your rooms at the end of the tour," she explained.

Aquila simply nodded, satisfied with the answer. As he turned his gaze back into the auditorium, he saw the first of the warriors begin to rise up with a collection of groans and sighs of tiredness.

The old black prior sighed and cracked his neck once more, something told him this was going to be a long day.

Virgil was shaken from her sleep by Alistair's armored hand, she groaned and rubbed her eyes. "Is it morning already?" She asked no one in particular as she yawned into her hand.

"It is, now get up," he said with a firm tone.

Virgil sighed and sat cross legged on her bedroll, stretching her arms above her head with a yawn. "Just gimme five minutes."

"Two minutes, don't keep me waiting," Alistair said with a grunt as he turned around, heading towards the door.

She lazily nodded as she kept stretching, sighing with satisfaction at the noises her back made as it popped. She let her arms fall to her side and looked around, blinking the sleepiness away. She found that most of the warriors were already up, wearing their armour and with weapons on their hands, gathering by the door.

Virgil fought back a yawn as she began to dress, and for the thousandth time wished that her clothing actually fit her. The boots were far too large for her small feet, the trousers were over baggy and the hoodie that she "borrowed" from one of the bandits she used to work with was large enough for her to look like a child trying to wear adult clothing, reaching just a bit under her butt and with comically large sleeves. Not for the first time, Virgil thought she looked like a hobo.

'Orphan hobo more like.'

She sighed and rolled up her sleeves before grabbing her sword and shield and walking over to Alistair, standing next to the man in silence as the group waited for the remaining warriors to join them, once they did, Glynda Goodwitch addressed them all.

The blonde woman quickly explained why she came to see them and Virgil found it hard to not be excited, a tour around Beacon?

It was like a dream come true.

Tranquility returned just in time to see the warriors follow the blonde woman from before, Glynda. The peacekeeper tilted her head and quietly joined them, curious a as to what was going on, though that was soon answered as the woman guiding them began to speak, explaining that she was going to guide them around the academy and answer any questions they may have.

The peacekeeper tilted her head, Ozpin had already allowed them to explore just the day before, so why do this? But Tranquility refrained from giving voice to her question for one very simple, and selfish reason; curiosity.

Even after walking around and observing as much as she had yesterday, there was still a part of her that wanted more, like a voice in the back of her mind constantly begging for her to investigate every room, to search for every nook and cranny, to learn of any knowledge hidden within. As a peacekeeper, she often forced herself to ignore these feelings, curiosity quickly squashed in favor of other, more immediate thoughts in order to maintain focus on the larger picture.

Now though? Now there was no immediate threat, no assassin in the crowd, no blade in the dark. She hummed to herself, perhaps it would be alright to give in to her urges, just for once.

And so she kept following, and as Glynda kept talking and explaining, as Tranquility kept taking in all the knowledge she could, the peacekeeper failed to notice the genuine smile that had formed beneath the cold metal mask.

Ozpin sighed a sigh of satisfaction as he took a sip of his morning coffee, today was one of those days where everything felt just right. The skies were clear without a single cloud in sight, the sun was breaking the night sky, birds were singing and his special package of roasted Vacuan coffee beans had finally arrived, life was good, at least for today.

As Ozpin set down his half empty mug on his desk, and right as he turned on his computer, he was interrupted by the sound of pecking on the window behind him, he raised an eyebrow and opened the window, sitting down on his chair afterwards.

"Well, you're awfully early today."

"Yeah, yeah, I know, just wanted to check in on our new friends before the day officially started," Qrow said as he transformed, closing the window once he was fully standing. "How are they doing by the way?"

"I was about to check, actually," He answered as he turned on the security monitor. His eyes roamed across the camera feeds, looking for the warriors, process which didn't take long, given the size of their group. "Ah, here they are."

Qrow took a small sip from his flask as he walked to stand behind Ozpin, he raised an eyebrow and leaned ever so slightly forward at what was on the screen. "What's Glynda doing with them?"

"I told her to give them a tour around the facilities, better for them to get familiar with the school layout."

"You planning on keeping them here?"

Ozpin nodded. "Yes, the closer they are to us, the easier it will be to observe them, it also should make it easier for us to see if what the woman's claims were true."

Qrow hummed and stepped back, taking another sip from his flask. "Yeah, about that though, how do you plan on getting the truth out of them?"

Ozpin nodded and opened one of the drawers on his desk, beginning his search for a particular document. "I have a few ideas, most of them would require a good amount of time to set up, time that I'm not sure we have, so I've ultimately decided that this-" he finally found the file, taking it out of the drawers and handing it over to Qrow. "- Is the best course of action."

Qrow began to read the file, one eyebrow raising further and further up the more he kept reading. "Huh, it could work, I just have one question though."

Ozpin took a small drink from his coffee before answering. "Ask away."

"How long did it take you to figure this out?"

Ozpin took another sip of coffee from his mug before turning to look at Qrow, showing him the dark circles around his eyes with a tired smile. "A few hours."

Tranquility made mental notes about everything Glynda said, finding the information about the academy to be rather interesting.

So far they had been shown the gardens, the courtyard, the library and some place called "the cafeteria" which functioned more or less as a dining hall, the samurai and knights had to quite literally hold back the Vikings from charging in and having their way with the food, though they only stopped once Glynda told them that breakfast wouldn't be ready for a while and that they could return once their tour was over.

Tranquility found the way the Warborn warriors begrudgingly agreed to be rather humorous, even if she didn't physically show it.

"- and now we come to this part of Beacon academy, where the classrooms, forge and combat arena are located." The voice of Glynda Goodwitch snapped Tranquility out of her thoughts, the peacekeeper's curiosity peaking at the mention of the forge and arena.

"A forge and an arena? Why would a school need those?" One of her fellow knights voiced his confusion, unwittingly asking the same thing Tranquility had been thinking of.

"Well, our student's weapons are often mechanically complex and custom made, so they need not only a place with the necessary tools to perform maintenance but also be capable of making new parts should anything within their weapon's mechanism break, if they know how to do it properly that is." Several eyebrows raised at this, a weapon was a sword, a bow or even a crossbow, but anything more complex tended to go into the realm of siege equipment.

For may warriors, this left them confused, Tranquility however, wasn't like most warriors. Was this the reason so many of the students they'd seen the day before carried such bulky looking weapons, and if that was indeed the reason, then what did these mechanisms do? Ideas began to flood her mind, many of which were discarded as soon as she thought about them, then all of a sudden, she stopped as a single question crossed her mind; could these weapons shift? The mere idea sounded ridiculous but she somehow couldn't stop thinking about it, and if she was honest with herself, the idea was an exciting one.

"And as for the arena." The voice of Glynda Goodwitch once again drew tranquility out of her thought induced stupor. "I think it would be better if you saw for yourselves." The woman said as she pushed a seemingly normal door.

"Woah…" She didn't know who said it, but couldn't help but agree. The room was oval shaped, with rows of seats along the sides and, just as the name implied, a combat arena sat in the middle of the room.

Alistair stepped further into the room, looking around with barely concealed awe. "This is quite impressive."

Glynda nodded with the tiniest of smiles on her lips. "Thank you, we do our best to provide for our students." She turned to address the rest of the warriors, her expression settling on one of pure professionalism. "As I mentioned before, this is the combat arena, where I teach combat class. Now, Ozpin told me to inform you that you may feel free to use the arena and it's equipment freely as long as it's not in use already."

"Well, that's awful kind of him," Torbjorn said.

Glynda Goodwitch simply nodded as as he stepped back into the hallway. "Come now, there's only one thing left for me to show you."

At those words came the loud exclamations of 'finally' alongside the quiet muttering of the word food. The walk to their final destination we rather uneventful, other than the sun finally lighting up the hallways.

"And finally, these are the dorms, where you shall be staying for the foreseeable future." The woman gestured them to come to her, the first one to do so being Alistair.

The lawbringer was handed a small key with a number written on the side of it, before Alistair could question what the key was for, Glynda spoke again. "Each of you will be given a key to a room, the number of which is written on the side."

Shortly after, the woman began handing out keys to everyone, some of them having the same number, when questioned why that was the case, Glynda simply told them that the rooms were made to accommodate up to four people.

"And, here's yours, make sure to not loose it, and if you do, please seek me out and I'll have a replacement ready within the hour," Glynda said loudly enough for everyone to hear as she handed Tranquility, her key.

"Thank you," she said simply.

"And that concludes with our tour, you may do as you wish now, but please try to not bother our students too much."

The others didn't need any other words and immediately began to set off towards the cafeteria, but not Tranquility, Tranquility remained for a few moments, taking a deep breath to help her process everything so far. This place was truly unlike anything she had ever seen or heard of, and that made her… giddy, somehow, perhaps it was that thirst for knowledge again, wishing to know every nook and cranny of the academy, every solitary spot and every secret, she wanted to know more about this world.

A short grumbling from her stomach halted her thoughts, perhaps later then. With a small sigh she looked down at the key in her hand, curious as to what number was written on it.

Tranquility's head tilted to the side as she read the number out loud. "1313."

Alright, I have nothing else to add so, review answering time!

Bile 1.0: All in due time my friend ;)

PS: Also here's a sneak peak for next chapter:

Ruby Rose yawned as she walked towards the cafeteria, she shouldn't have stayed up so late.

"Jeez, for how long were you and vomit boy at it?" Yang said as she looked Ruby up and down.

Ruby yawned again as she stretched her arms above her head. For how long were they playing? Oh right. "Three hours after you guys went to sleep…" To be honest, Ruby was regretting her choice of challenging Jaune to Mortal Kombat, how was she supposed to know he was a Kotal Kahn main? And a good one at that, it took way too long before the two finally settled on a draw.

"Wait, it was just three hours? Felt like way more," Jaune tiredly said from besides her. Her fellow leader wasn't looking too good either, walking around like a zombie and with eye bags only a late night gamer could have.

Weiss gave them an unimpressed look. "Because just watching movies until 12 wasn't enough for you."

"Yep, definitely beginning to regret that decision…"

As the group of RWBY JNPR were right next to the cafeteria, Ruby spotted someone else coming, someone she managed to immediately recognize. "Huh… that's the huntress from yesterday."
