Chapter-40

Sigurd

Richard and Robin took them to a tent just like the others, which Sigurd assumed was Richard's tent.

Quite rare for a king to live in a tent like the others, but then again, our status in life hardly matters now that we are servants. Sigurd thought as they entered the tent.

"Now, introductions?" Richard asked.

"Sigurd Sigmundsson."

"Cú Chulainn."

"Amakusa Shirou Tokisada."

"Odysseus."

Robin perked up and looked at Cú while Richard grinned at Sigurd. "A pleasure to meet you, fellow King." He spoe shaking hands with Sigurd who nodded back.

"The feeling is mutual, Richard." He spoke before smiling. "I can't really imagine leading forces deep into foreign lands and still managing to win. Even more odd is how we're cooperating despite the history of my people with England."

Richard laughed. "Oh please, you don't need to do that! Besides, considering my ties to Normandy, you could say I'm in a way partially a Dane as well!"

"Pleasure to meet you, Robin." Shirou spoke.

"Same. From one rebel to another." Robin replied as the servants settled down in the tent.

"So, Vale's finally sent help." Robin spoke. "Although, I have to be really skeptical of just four servants to attack the Carrier's base."

"True that. The Carrier has an army of phantasmals, a bunch of servants and is a god themselves. We do not really have the strength to launch an attack."

"Us four should be able to handle Prometheus. We have the necessary tools to bring him down." Odysseus spoke as Richard hummed.

"So that is the true name of the Carrier." He spoke before smiling. "Well, that shouldn't be too problematic. From what we know, Prometheus is more of a cunning individual rather than a fighter."

"And if we have more servants who can function as powerful fighters…" Sigurd trailed off as Robin nodded.

"So, you're requesting his majesty to help you with fighting Prometheus. What about his army of shadow servants and Phantasmals?"

"We have sought the help of the Atlesian army for our assault. They have a powerful weapon that should be able to wipe out the army while we are preoccupied with Prometheus." Odysseus spoke.

"Good, good. Now, in case you're wondering, we're not exactly independent servants." Robin spoke as Cú looked at him.

"Not independent? How?"

"You could say, we're part of a network. A network of servants who've come together against the threat Remnant is facing at the moment." Robin spoke as Odysseus leaned in.

"Interesting. A network, you say? Is this network of servants there in the other kingdoms?"

Richard rubbed his head. "Well, yes. But we don't really have too many members. In fact, our…'leader' you could say had come to Vale only a few months ago to establish a foothold. I heard the network originated in Mistral."

A network of servants that have the same goals as us? Well, the Nornir are certainly smiling upon us today. Sigurd thought. The network could prove instrumental in increasing their power. Ozpin would certainly be interested in merging this network with his inner circle.

But before that…

"The threat I assume refers to the witch Salem?"

"Salem and her allies." Richard pointed out. "From what our spies say, Salem had joined hands with some mysterious cloaked figure almost a year back to aid her in her goals. This figure brought with them immense resources that probably would have guaranteed Salem's victory if not for us allying ourselves with Remnant's humanity."

The servants' eyes widened.

"So you say this Cloaked Figure is the reason behind all these servants and phantasmals?" Odysseus spoke. "I presume he isn't Prometheus."

"No. We haven't been able to gain any information towards this figure's identity. But what we can say is that this figure had managed to contract four gods into their service."

Sigurd shook his head. "Four gods?!"

Who was this Cloaked Figure? How had they managed to bring four gods to work for them?

"From what we know, it's less of them working FOR the figure and more of them working WITH them. Each god has been assigned a kingdom. As of now, Prometheus is the only one that's active."

"Great, so you're telling us that Prometheus is just one of four gods that we have to beat, and those other gods might be having their own forces." Cú grumbled.

"Let's not extend our line of thought too much." Odysseus spoke. "Focus on Prometheus. Richard, what else can you tell about this Cloaked Figure's group?"

"Nothing else, really. That's all we know so far. But anyways, first we need to take back Oakshire." Richard spoke. "You say the atlesian army is coming? Then they'll be needing a point from where they can launch their attacks. From what I hear from the locals, Oakshire had always been one of the mountain villages from where Vale's army sent in huntsmen expeditions beyond the mountains. It practically functioned as a base for armies during the Great War. So, Oakshire would be a good spot, if not for the enemy."

"And Oakshire has what, exactly?"

"Faoladh and shadow servants. Ordinarily, that shouldn't be a problem. These huntsmen may not be on the level of us servants, but even the young students of Beacon Academy would have wreaked havoc on Saladin if they had been in the Crusades. The huntsmen can deal with the beasts and servants. But the main problem is…"

"...That damned archer." Robin growled.

"The archer that tried to blow us up?" Cú asked.

"Yes, that one. I can tell Prometheus called in a really powerful servant that doesn't need a noble phantasm to cause massive destruction. They for some reason are really uncomfortable about burning forests so they haven't come over and blown our entire camp into pieces. But if we get to oakshire…" Richard shook his head.

"So we can't retake Oakshire without the archer dropping their arrows on us." Odysseus spoke, shaking his head.

"So we just have to take them out, right? Why not a stealth mission to sneak up on them while they're distracted?" Cú spoke.

"Hm, we'll need someone who is durable enough to distract that Archer and survive their arrows." Odysseus spoke as almost everyone looked at Sigurd.

"I suppose I can do such a thing." Sigurd muttered.

"In this case, we now also need someone to do the deed while sneaking up on Archer."

"I can do that." Robin spoke up. "No Face May King can help me go undetected, plus I've memorized these forests. All I need to know is that Archer's location and I'll go get them."

"Perfect. As for the main force for Oakshire, I assume Richard will be leading the army."

"Yes. We've already drawn up the plans for liberating Oakshire. We just needed more servants to help us distribute our forces. As far as I'm concerned, leaving the common people alone while we head out would not be a good idea."

"Cú can fulfill that role." Odysseus spoke before looking at Cú who nodded.

"He's right. I've got plenty of experience being a one-man army, so I'll stand guard."

Odysseus nodded. "Very well. So, Richard, myself and Shirou will be leading the attack on Oakshire, Cú will be protecting the people while we attack and Sigurd and Robin will be working to take down the archer."

"Any questions?"

"What if Prometheus knows what we're planning?" Sigurd asked.

"He probably does. But remember, Prometheus also has other issues to focus on. He knows he can't afford to stretch his forces thin and send in too many servants. Prometheus knows that he will have to keep the defense to a minimum." Odysseus spoke.

"Alright, anyone else?"

"..."

"Good! It's getting late now. We can do it tomorrow!"

"Tomorrow? That quickly?"

"Well, we'd already planned out the attack on the village. You four were helpful in just filling the gaps in our plan. Besides, considering we have to spot that archer, we would say broad daylight is the time we attack, as odd as that sounds."

"Tomorrow it is, then." Shirou spoke as the servants went to leave.

"You can go test the capabilities of the huntsmen in the meantime! Oh, and if you want a good chat, we're always open!" Richard called out.

Sigurd nodded and went to walk out before frowning.

"I can't use my noble phantasm right now!"

He remembered Cú's statement when he'd been asked to use his noble phantasm to kill the Wendigo.

From that, Sigurd realized he'd never really used his noble phantasm even once. Of course, his was too destructive to use in close range, so he never really considered that, but he did find it strange how servants like Tristan didn't use theirs. He had seen Perseus use his helmet and winged sandals multiple times, and Odysseus obviously had his Aegis on him at all times.

Perhaps he could use Gram in case Atlas failed to bomb Prometheus' hideout.

The next day, Sigurd and Robin stood out to the side as Richard stood in front of the huntsmen and civilian militia who were armed with rifles. Some of the old armored cars that had been used to transport the people out of Oakshire were parked

"Uh, Richard?" One of the huntsmen spoke up. "We're going to be fine, right?"

Richard smiled. "Only if you keep your focus. I can't promise zero casualties, but these creatures, while having more diverse abilities, are not as tough as the Grimm. Your blades will cut through them like they are made of paper." He spoke before facing the group.

"LISTEN UP! THE ATLESIAN ARMY IS ARRIVING TO ASSIST US AGAINST OUR ENEMY!" Richard yelled.

"BUT THEY NEED A PLACE FROM WHERE THEY CAN ATTACK! YOU ARE WELL AWARE OF WHAT YOUR VILLAGE USED TO BE! UNLESS WE TAKE THIS, ATLAS WILL BE UNABLE TO HELP! WE CANNOT AFFORD TO FAIL, HENCEFORTH!" Richard yelled before taking a calmer expression.

"But I understand that many of you are terrified of facing these beasts. So if you find yourself unable to fight, retreat. But that does not mean you'll not put in your best in retaking your village." Richard spoke as Sigurd nodded in agreement. The army cheered in agreement.

"Let's go. Sigurd, Robin, stay at the side. If you see the archer, split off." Odysseus replied before glancing at Cú who gave a thumbs-up. Robin stood beside Sigurd and nodded to him before the servants got onto the armored cars and headed towards Oakshire. Sigurd and Robin in one, while Richard, Shirou and Odysseus were in another. The armored cars went down a trail leading up a mountain.

Oakshire was located quite high on a mountain and should be a fair amount of distance from their position.

Sigurd noticed some of the cars drive off into the woods up the mountain slopes, while Richard's car kept going straight. The air around them shimmered as Sigurd's runes activated and they were soon invisible.

"Hm, that probably won't work." Robin commented as Sigurd looked at him.

"That archer almost nailed me in the head once, even when I had No Face May King on. So, our Archer definitely has clairvoyance. But again, he is not happy burning forests, so unless those cars have enemy servants, they most likely won't shoot, even if it means letting the enemy get close." Robin spoke before closing his eyes and scrunching his eyebrows.

"Robin?" Sigurd asked as Robin shook his head.

"Damn it, didn't work."

"?"

"It's…a little trick of mine. If it worked, I would have easily pointed out the Archer's location. But for reasons I don't get, it isn't." Robin spoke before sighing. "Then I guess I'll have to let them fire so that I can get to them."

Soon, the forest's density began lessening as Sigurd could make out an open field on a downward slope. The cars soon stopped as some of the huntsmen came out.

"Is everyone in position?" A huntsman spoke into his scroll.

"Affirmative."

"Affirmative."

The huntsman nodded. "We're ready at your command, Richard." He spoke.

"Alright. Sigurd, the runes are up right?"

Sigurd nodded. He could feel the mana of the Algiz runes placed on the armored cars, in case some of the archer's arrows hit any of the cars.

"Alright. CHARGE!" Richard yelled as his car, Sigurd's car and three other cars drive right out of the woods towards Oakshire. Sigurd could see the village's stone walls filled with Faoladh guards stationed at the top, each holding bows with arrows enchanted with lightning. He could see a Faoladh yell at the other Faoladh who growled and raised their bows with arrows sparking with electricity.

Those arrows are fitted with the penetrating power of a bullet. Good thing I put up those Algiz runes. Sigurd thought as the Faoladh let loose, firing at speeds that felt like they were using rifles rather than bows.

Some of the militia flinched as a wall of arrows slammed into their car's shield.

"There's so many arrows! It's difficult to drive!" The driver yelled.

"Don't worry, they'll hold! Keep going!" Sigurd spoke as the cars tore down the slope. He spotted Odysseus get out of a car and nimbly jump onto its roof as the arrows bounced off Aegis without leaving a dent. Odysseus raised his hand as Sigurd could sense a lot of magical energy gathering, before Odysseus blasted a beam of energy right at a section of Oakshire's wall. The Faoladh archers stumbled as the cars went through the hole in the wall.

"Shirou! Clear out the archers!" Odysseus yelled.

Shirou got out as well and jumped up, throwing black keys to impale some Faoladh before moving along the wall, cutting down faoladh with his Katana.

The cars then stopped as they got into the village's streets, with Faoladh warriors howling as they poured out of houses with icy blades and wooden shields with glowing runes etched on them. The remaining servants and huntsmen got out to engage while the militiamen directed their focus to shooting down the Archers who were preoccupied with Shirou and Odysseus. Sigurd pulled out Ridill and Hrotti while Richard had a simple broadsword with him.

"Alright, I'll assist from the sides until that archer interferes." Robin spoke pulling up his hood and turning invisible.

"After you, King Sigurd." Richard spoke as Sigurd shook his head before putting up his mask. "You are the leader of this operation."

Richard laughed. "Then let's go together." He spoke before the two rushed alongside the huntsmen at the Faoladh. Sigurd ducked under a Faoladh's swing and stabbed with hrotti. The Faoladh blocked with its shield before yelping as Sigurd nimbly sunk Ridill into its foot. Sigurd swung his bare fist and smashed the Faoladh's head into pieces before pushing its headless corpse aside to engage the next Faoladh. Sigurd deflected a black dirk thrown at him as Richard grinned.

"Leave the Hashashin to us. We still remember when those cowardly bastards pinned the Montferrat murder on us and had us tried by the Holy Roman Emperor. It's time we paid them back from stopping me from returning to England." Richard spoke before he jumped onto the roof and cut down a Hassan that was trying to escape. Another Hassan came up to stab Richard before an arrow came out of nowhere and hit them in the head. At that moment, purple gas erupted in a house as Faoladh came out clutching their throats before collapsing in heaps.

Robin's using his poison. Sigurd thought. Robin appeared for a moment and winked at him before disappearing to shoot down Hassans.

Sigurd nodded and focussed back onto the Faoladh. The huntsmen were doing quite fine, managing to cut down the faoladh although the faoladh were putting up a quite a fearsome fight, charging with no sense of self-preservation like the grimm and displaying speed and strength only a little lesser than the huntsmen. Their shields were clearly reinforced as they managed to block bullets fired by the huntsmen and forced them into engaging in melee combat.

Sigurd punched his daggers to nail some Faoladh whenever they got close to killing a huntsman, before reinforcing Gram with Uruz runes and cutting down the Faoladh through their shields with wide swings. Sigurd could feel the air chill whenever one of the Faoladh's icy swords crossed him and Sigurd had to watch out for some of the Faoladh's magical spells, as they lobbed fireballs that exploded to throw off huntsmen.

They're doing good, but the Faoladh are still putting up pressure. I need to give the huntsmen some space. Sigurd thought before dodging as a Faoladh stabbed its icy blade into the ground and sent ice spikes to impale him.

"Hm, I have an idea…" Sigurd spoke before putting his hand on Gram's blade.

"CLEAR AWAY!" Sigurd yelled as he inscribed a Thurisaz rune on Gram's blade and ran towards a Faoladh and feinted a downward slash, forcing it to lift up its shield. Instead of stabbing, Sigurd quickly stepped onto the shield and used it to launch himself into the air. Sigurd pointed gram in a downward position before stabbing it into the ground. The Thurisaz rune sent out a shockwave that sent the Faoladh flying back.

The huntsmen quickly shifted their melee weapons into guns and fired upon the faoladh, the beasts being too disoriented to block the bullets and many were cut down.

Sigurd at that point heard a commotion and gunshots ring out from behind the Faoladh group.

"The others are here!" Sigurd spoke as the huntsmen cheered and pushed on, cutting and shooting down Faoladh. Sigurd could see they were slowly winning, before he noticed something shine in the air.

Sigurd narrowed his eyes before they widened.

Sigurd immediately inscribed an Algiz rune as the flaming arrows slammed into the shield, exploding against them.

"The Hassans are gone." Richard spoke as he came up. "You keep up the shield, we'll focus on putting down the rest of the Faoladh."

"What about Robin?"

"He's already on his way."

That archer's firing the shots from there. Robin thought as he dashed through the forest up the same slope they'd charged down, reinforcing himself with druidic magecraft as he willed the grass to carry him forward. The archer was firing from a cliff that would take him a little bit of time to get to, but he had faith Sigurd could do it.

He's not considered the Greatest hero of the Danes without reason. Robin thought. He could hear the sounds of the Archer's arrows hitting against Sigurd's shield, each getting louder than the last.

Come on, Come on! Robin thought. He needed to get there before the arrows broke through Sigurd's shield.

Robin could still hear the whistling of the arrows as he reached the open field. He then slowed his pace and then jumped onto a tree, aiming his Yew Bow at the cliff…

"Huh?" Robin spoke in confusion, as he stared at an empty cliff.

Robin shook his head and looked around in confusion.

Wasn't he…? Robin heard faint fluttering and looked to see a shape flying through the sky. At that moment, a cheer came up from Oakshire, indicating the battle had ended in victory as Sigurd's broken shield dispersed.

Damn it, that Archer escaped.

Perseus did not know why Prometheus wanted them alive. Earlier, he hadn't really acted on Prometheus' orders and tried to get the enemy eliminated. Cinder had suggested that their new Archer ally be able to do the deed and wipe out not only Ozpin's servants but also the rogue Robin Hood who had been a pain to their forces. But Prometheus of course found out and made sure Perseus listened to him and not to Cinder. Perseus had to admit, Prometheus' pointing out how implausible his plan was did encourage him to listen to him from now on.

"They still don't know what we are going to do. I intend to keep it like that until we reveal our hand."

Those were Prometheus' words of justification for keeping them alive. The Titan himself had not even taken a single step out of his workshop and had forbidden everybody from entering, only communicating through his droids. Apparently, he was doing a 'project', which sounded ominous.

But anyways, it was because of Prometheus that Perseus found himself carrying the archer through the air.

"Let me down before I roast you alive!" The Archer growled as Perseus shook his head. "And he will be killed if you do anything to me. Our earlier plan has been cancelled. We'll return to base."

"...And what's the new plan?"

Perseus sighed. "Misleading."

"Misleading?"

"Do you know why there are only four servants sent from Vale?"

"Because I assume the Atlesian army is afraid of getting destroyed by some noble phantasms?"

"Precisely. Atlas is an important part of our plans, and them being wary wouldn't help matters, especially if the Vytal Festival ends. So, I put a simple solution to lure Atlas into the mountains."

"There's more coming from the mountains!" A huntsmen yelled from a binocular before pointing at the mountains. Sigurd could see a lot more Faoladh coming in.

Now that would be problematic. He thought before closing his eyes.

"First, an example. The Faoladh reinforcements charge down the mountain." Perseus spoke. "Putting our enemy in a sticky situation of having to defend after just having fought a hard battle. Now, they needed to bring down that army in one go. And what could possibly do that?"

The Archer grunted. "A powerful noble phantasm.

Sigurd drew upon his draconic core, supplying his body with mana as he looked at the spot where the Faoladh army was coming.

It's time I used Gram. He thought before raising Gram.

"But see, the enemy thinks that the servants are unable to use their noble phantasms, the primary ones at least, because of a lack of mana." Perseus spoke.

"But they are obviously wrong."

"...Ah."

"Cú Chulainn's inability to use his mana cost-effective noble phantasm should have been a hint, but it seems they have been unable to catch on. You see, they are on the same boat as us…"

Sigurd then went to say the chant for his noble phantasm, before stopping.

What? Sigurd thought. He could not feel Gram's mana levels rising.

"The problem of noble phantasms not being used isn't due to insufficient mana. It is for a completely different reason."

"Why isn't it…?" Sigurd spoke before feeding more mana and trying to say the chant and stopping again.

"Huh…Why isn't Gram activating?" Sigurd spoke, shaking his head in confusion.

Richard slumped. "Ah…we were going to tell you…you can't use your noble phantasm."

"But I have enough mana."

"It's not Mana. You can't use your noble phantasm because…"

"The Will has blocked off the activation of all of the servants' primary noble phantasms." Perseus spoke as he flew off.

The air was heavy in a room in the town hall. Strangely, the Faoladh had immediately retreated, not trying to attack. Oakshire was back in the hands of humanity, but Sigurd could see from the other servants' faces that the revelation of the truth behind the noble phantasms as quite troubling.

"So, we can't use our noble phantasms." Odysseus spoke as Cú nodded.

"So that's why I couldn't use Gáe Bolg earlier. I did think it was strange I couldn't do it despite its low mana cost."

"We were planning on telling you once Oakshire was back in our hands. I had planned to use Excalibur on Prometheus' camp, but this had completely shot down that idea."

"Wait, Excalibur? You can use Excalibur?" Cú asked.

"Well, we did look for Excalibur in our life, it was the sword of our idol Arthur Pendragon." Richard spoke with a huff. "But it's nowhere near as powerful as when it is used by him."

"That's strange, I get a little weird feeling whenever I heard King Arthur's name…" Cú muttered.

"Must be you." Robin spoke. "We can't use it, and we can confirm the enemy servants can't use their primary noble phantasms either."

"But still, that is actually good news!" Richard exclaimed as Odysseus nodded.

"That's true. While I was earlier a bit disheartened that we couldn't use our strongest weapons, I realise now that this actually helps us a lot."

Sigurd's eyebrows raised in realization. "The entire reason why the Atlesian army hadn't immediately gone in…"

"...It was because they were afraid of someone like Mordred or Siegfried unleashing their noble phantasms and devastating their aerial fleet. But with this new information…"

"We can be assured such a thing is not going to happen." Sigurd spoke before looking at Richard.

"But are you sure? This Cloaked Figure is behind the problem, so couldn't they give their servants…"

"Our leader confirms the figure has to either give every servant access to not only their noble phantasm but return them to their original speed and strength as well or keep whatever is going on right now."

"Wait, we're not being weakened by Remnant's Counter Force?" Cú spoke.

"Oddly, yes. Remnant's Counter Force has done, well, nothing to weaken us, despite us being foreign beings. We haven't really been able to figure out what is Remnant's Counter Force exactly doing." Richard spoke.

"Leaving that aside…" Odysseus spoke. "If this cloaked figure were to remove their blockage, we'll be brought back to our original strength?"

"Correct."

"Well, then we have quite a long way to go."

"At least the difference is still enough for us to take down enemies other than servants pretty easily." Shirou spoke as Robin nodded.

"That's a positive. Does that change our plans, though?"

Cú shrugged. "Well, I can't reverse causality anymore, but Gáe Bolg's curse is still active. It'll still kill Prometheus if I stick it into him. So, no problem."

"Excellent. Then, what now?" Richard asked.

"Now, we contact Winter Schnee and inform her of the news. We'll take our next steps once Atlas arrives." Sigurd spoke as Shirou looked away with a sad frown.

Something's wrong with Shirou. Sigurd thought. He'd seen that Shirou had gotten more depressed over the days and…guilty? Something was troubling him, and Sigurd would talk to him about it.

Moving on, Sigurd also frowned at the behaviour of the Faoladh. Something about them retreating wasn't right. He didn't want to be thinking of such things, but the enemy had given up Oakshire quite easily. It shouldn't have been the case. Something was going on, and they had to stop Prometheus before he accomplished it.

Sigurd thought back to Beacon, where Ruby and her team were just done with their classes and sitting in their dorm room. Yang would be on her bed doing nothing but trying to make up some puns to annoy her teammates, Blake would be reading a romance novel, Weiss would be doing a homework assignment and Ruby would be listening to song on her red headphones.

I've gotten quite attached to them. Sigurd thought in amusement. He had visited their dorm rooms to talk to them about school matters and recently joining Ozpin's inner circle, to the point he could tell what exactly Team RWBY would be doing.

And speaking of Beacon, Sigurd thought of Tristan. Before leaving, Sigurd had entrusted Tristan with coaxing information about the Vault of the Relic of Choice out of Ozpin.

I hope he's made some progress on his mission.

A/N: Damn, this chapter got longer than I expected. I always underestimate the ability of cutscenes to stretch the word count really high. I had planned for some extra scenes, but I realised they would be too early for the sequence of events.

But anyways, full speed towards finishing Volume-3. The juicy parts of the Vale arc, which I've been waiting to write since the very beginning, are approaching closer. Trust me, The Battle of Beacon is going to a be lot different than what you expect.

So, I guess this chapter is the 'Oakshire Liberation' chapter. Pretty early, but this battle isn't really that important compared to the later battles, so it would just be wasting pacing by sticking to Oakshire with some character interactions.

And about the Faoladh...I've for some reason gotten a serious obsession for werewolf warriors using magic ever since I wrote a fight scene between Percy Jackson and his friends with a Werewolf Druid in my PJO/HP crossover. It's just...the concept has potential but feels lame in FGO. Werewolves using magic with their weapons and wearing tattoos personally feels better to me than FGO's werewolf enemies, who basically use melee weapons and nothing beyond that.

The Faoladhs are actually pretty badass in Irish folklore, but huntsmen themselves are no joke. RWBY crossovers do have a tendency to fodderize huntsmen even though if you actually consider it, RWBY's huntsmen would be a nightmare for monsters of folk tales. Except for Dee and Dudley, most of RWBY's huntsmen have some serious speed and strength feats that make them extremely capable of fodderizing mythical monsters and only dying to some of the tougher ones.

Volume-3 from this point is going to be divided into two parts - There's Sigurd and his buddies heading to attack Prometheus with a few chapters. From the next chapter, we'll start with the other part - Tristan's search for the Relic of Choice, because while I love how the Relic of Choice is really mysterious compared to the other relics, I need to do some worldbuilding for the Vale Vault as well, open up some story arcs for RWBY characters to explore in later volumes as well as start developing Tristan's character.

And before I forget, the entire thing of the noble phantasms actually was a low mana cost problem, since I was going off on D.N. Works' 'Fate Disaster', where the servants were nerfed because of low Mana, but then someone rightfully pointed out that Cu's noble phantasm didn't need much mana to begin with, so I changed the explanation into something more plausible.

Hope you guys enjoyed and constructive criticism is appreciated!

Response to Reviews:

longbowchris50: Heck no. I am honestly confused on why Shirou x Semiramis is exactly there in Fate/Apocrypha, it doesn't really make sense to me. Besides, I don't put romance if it does not have any purpose to the character. So, no Shirou simping.
