The three genin arrived at Training Ground 7 exactly at 5 in the morning, with sleepy looks on their faces.

Of the group, the worst off was Naruto, looking as if he were about to collapse right then and there. In his previous life, he was able to go days without sleep and recover in less than 6 hours, so he had spent the previous night training and preparing for the test that he only went to sleep past midnight.

The trio met up at the base of a nearby tree and waited for their sensei to show up.

And waited.

And waited.

Several hours passed with no sign of their sensei.

Naruto had fallen asleep somewhere around the 30 minute mark and the other two were sitting on either side of him lazily.

At around 9 AM, Naruto woke up with a yawn and went to the river to wash his face. Sakura and Sasuke looked at him with a bit of jealousy as he came back completely refreshed and energetic. The blonde had told the other two to get some rest as their sensei would most definitely be late, but they did not heed his advice out of fear of Kakashi catching them off guard.

Sasuke said bitterly, "Did you get your beauty sleep?" to which Naruto replied with a sheepish grin. "I told you guys to get some rest. Well, it's too late now since Kakashi senseis almost here."

The trio looked towards the distance as their silver haired sensei approached them, rubbing the back of his head. "Sorry about that guys, A black cat crossed my path and I had to take the long way around the village."

Sasuke and Sakura looked annoyed at the jounin while Naruto just grinned and then spoke with excitement, "Come on sensei! Let's get this test over with so I can become an official genin!"

Kakashi briefly squinted at Naruto and thought about the event of the previous afternoon. 'Did he actually learn two c-rank jutsus in a single night?'

He then put an alarm clock on one of the three tree stumps and began explaining the rules of the test as he pulled out the two bells. Sakura asked about there being only two bells for the three of them, and after getting the response of only two of them passing, they tensed and prepared themselves for the test.

Kakashi announced, "You have until noon to get the bells. You start when I say start. Ready?"

The trio assumed their stances.

"Start."

Sasuke and Sakura jumped back into the trees while Naruto charged at the jounin.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

The clones rushed Kakashi with punches and kicks. Kakashi was able to weave through the barrage with attacks of his own fairly easily, but was surprised that Naruto was using some other style than the basic academy taijutsu.

From behind the horde of orange jumpsuits, Kakashi noticed three clones at a distance. Two of them began forming handsigns while the third jumped high into the air.

"Futon: Gale Palm!" The two clones on the ground slammed their hands on the clone mid air, sending it flying directly upwards. Suddenly, all the clones stepped back and prepped to punch Kakashi while shouting in unison;

"Naruto Uzumaki Secret Technique!" The clones all sent their fists towards Kakashi as he readied himself to counteract, when he heard a voice from above. "Fist of the Heavens…"

Kakashi's eyes widened momentarily before he pushed all the clones on the ground back and caught the fist of the clone that was flying towards him. The momentum from the skyrocketing Naruto caused the jounin to stagger slightly. Kakashi looked up at the clone, who had a massive grin on its face. Kakashi felt a faint vibration beneath him as a flash of yellow broke from the dirt beneath him, "-and Earth!" coming at him with its fist clenched towards his stomach

Kakashi was astounded. 'Subterranean Voyage? I can't believe he actually learned two elemental jutsus in such a short period of time'

Kakashi acted quickly to the sudden threat as he used his other hand to grab the forearm of the Naruto above him and swung it around to slam into the Naruto coming from underneath him, sending the two into a third clone to disappear in a puff of smoke. He then used the confusion to quickly dispatch all the remaining clones in a large white cloud. However, when the cloud dispersed, Kakashi found himself alone in the clearing, Naruto nowhere to be found. 'Was all this just a distraction?'

After Naruto created all the shadow clones, he immediately jumped back into the forest without Kakashi noticing to meet up with Sasuke and Sakura to prepare for their plan. They got into their positions, and when Naruto felt the last clone disappear, they began their attack.

Another horde of shadow clones jumped out of the water and began attacking him. However, this time, he was using only the academy taijutsu for some reason. He was taking out the clones left and right but the sheer number of them had caused him to slowly back towards the edge of the forest.

When they reached the end of the clearing, a bunch of clones piled onto him and revealed one clone with it's hands in the tiger symbol. 'Another ninjutsu? How did he learn that?' Kakashi was faced with a problem as the weight of the clones slowed him down. As the clone shouted "Katon: Great Fireball Jutsu!" and spewed the flames, Kakashi was forced to jump into the trees behind him.

And that was a huge mistake.

Kakashi jumped into the foliage and was stunned when he didn't feel his feet touch the ground. His body was trapped by multiple ninja wire. Kakashi groaned. 'How could he be so stupid? He had fallen for some genjutsu in the midst of the commotion and didn't even realize it. He regretted going easy on them and now he paid the price.'

The clones vanished leaving 3 remaining, two of which morphed back into Sakura, who had applied the genjutsu on their sensei, and Sasuke, who had used the fireball jutsu to lure Kakashi straight into their trap.

Kakashi sighed as Naruto grabbed the bells off the helpless jounin's waist and put them in his own pocket with a smug look as the genin trio looked at him with a feeling of victory. Kakashi undid the ninja wire trapping him and stared at the blonde before speaking,

"Well, I'm impressed. You three came up with a plan and worked together perfectly." Naruto grinned, while Sakura smiled and Sasuke smirked. Kakashi looked intently at Naruto and continued, "But that still means only two of you are going to pass. So, Naruto, who are you giving the other bell to?"

Naruto kept grinning and gave his answer, pulling out one of the bells from his pocket, "Well, obviously I've gotta give one to Sasuke. He's pretty strong." Sakura looked a bit dejected and Kakashi was about to speak again when Naruto interrupted him, pulling the other bell from his pocket, "And Sakura is really smart, I think she would be a great kunoichi."

The three looked at him dumbfounded as he gave both bells to his teammates. Kakashi was filled with amazement at Naruto's sacrifice and was about to speak, but was again interrupted by Naruto as he pulled yet another bell from his pocket, "And it would be hard to do missions without a jounin, so Kakashi-sensei can have one too." Naruto pulled out a fourth bell from his pocket, "And there's no way I'm not getting a bell for being such an amazing ninja!" Naruto held his bell out and grinned, while the others looked between the four bells and Naruto with utter confusion. "So, Kakashi-sensei, since we all have bells, doesn't that mean we all pass?"

Much to his annoyance, before Kakashi could answer, he was again interrupted, this time by Sasuke, who asked where the blonde got the two extra bells from, and received the response, "Two of the bells are rocks I transformed into bells. But we'll never know which ones are the fakes unless I dispel the jutsu, so it's a win for everyone!"

Kakashi finally got to speak and said with an exhausted smile, "This test was supposed to see if you three could work as a team. The fact that there were only 2 bells was to put you guys against each other and separate you. Yet, you still worked as a team and brilliantly caught me off guard. So, congratulations on being the first to pass my test!"

Naruto cheered, "Yeah! Let's go to Ichiraku Ramen to celebrate!" To which Sakura brought her fist upon the blonde's head, "We had ramen yesterday!"

Sasuke looked at the scene and smiled inwardly. After witnessing the fight firsthand, he realized that he could have never gotten the bells by himself. 'A team, huh… Maybe they won't hold me back that much after all…'

Hopefully the fight scene was good enough.
