Ch38
Percy sighed and rubbed his head as he paced the cabin. "I can't believe he left." They spent the entire afternoon looking for Nico di Angelo. No one knew how he left or where he went. "Did you two notice anything while he was gone?"
Reyna and Hylla shook their heads. "We did not," Reyna said. "He appeared lonely and sad, maybe his sister not coming back affected him?"
"That is a possibility," Hylla said. "Maybe he went to see her?"
"Well we alerted Bianca and she has no clue what could've happened," Chris said folding his arms. "Did he talk to anybody or have any friends?"
"I did see him with that Silena girl," Reyna said. "Looked suspicious but I thought she was just being friendly and looking out for him."
"Yeah she is nice like that," He said. Silena and her Cabin helped search for Nico this morning, she appeared sad but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
"Do you both intend to tell Chiron about his origin?" Hylla asked.
He shifted in his seat. They both told the girls the truth about Bianca and Nico's parentage but he wasn't sure about telling Chiron yet. "Not yet, maybe in the future. With Thalia seemingly dead I fear what might happen if the Olympians find out."
"Foolish girl," Hylla muttered. "I would never have suspected that she fall for the enemy's temptation." She shook her head her brow furrowing. "She was a good person too bad her desire for strength was her undoing."
"Even the strongest can fall," Chris said looking up at the sky. "Personally I doubt it was the last we will see of her. Remember what Bianca said? She didn't feel her die."
He nodded. Those words both sent a shiver down his spine and gave him a tiny bit of hope. "She is sixteen already if she is alive." Either of them could be the child of the prophecy but now they had to be extra careful about Thalia.
"Don't worry prophecies are never what you expect," Chris said. "Sometimes you think they mean one thing and sometimes they mean another. Just lay low and don't step on any toes and you should be fine."
"Thanks," he said. He still was nervous about this entire thing. Thalia if you are alive please come to your senses.
"Anyway I wanted to talk to you both about something," Hylla said as she took a pamphlet out from her drawer. I've decided I will be leaving camp to join the Amazons."
"The Amazons?" He said in surprise. "They're real too?"
Chris nodded. "They are like the hunters but don't swear off men instead they put them in chains." His brother shrugged his shoulders. "If you want that go for it. The Amazons don't have the same benefits like the Hunters of Artemis but they are fearsome."
Hylla nodded. "I do. A representative should be coming tonight." She smiled at them. "I appreciate your hospitality sons of Poseidon but I must now discover my own path."
"I see," he sighed. "Well if you want that I wish you the best. Personally I think Camp would be better for both of you."
"I appreciate your sentiment but I have the desire to leave. I've thought about it well and decided on this decision," Hylla said firmly. "I desire to see the world more and explore it. I know Reyna will be safe."
Reyna nodded. "We talked about it and I'm ok with it. We'll still keep in touch though."
He looked at both of them and sighed. "Fine. If you want to go we won't stop. I wish you the best, keep in touch."
"Of course," Hylla said a smile spreading across her face as she hugged her sister. "I won't be cutting off all contact with you guys."."
Reyna nodded. "I'll continue to stay here for the time being. I've debated joining the hunters but don't feel ready for it at the moment."
Hylla smiled at him and his brother. "Make sure to keep an eye out for my little sister ok?"
"Of course," he said. "We'll make sure she isn't lonely."
Chris nodded. "Yeah we'll keep an eye on her don't worry."
Reyna nodded her gaze appeared to have some sorrow in them but her eyes were resolute. "I'll be safe don't worry. I hope you enjoy your time in the Amazons."
Hylla gave her sister a hug. "Well then I better get packing."
With that he helped her pack her things. It wasn't much because she didn't have much but it was solemn was they guided her to the edge of the camp with Chris. In the distance they saw an Amazon company van with two women guarding it.
"Well this is it," Hylla said turning to them. "I'll be off. See you all again."
"Be safe," Chris said. His brother smiled at her "I know they will make you a great warrior."
"Thank you," Hylla said before tuning to. "See you later Percy Jackson."
To his surprise she hugged him. "B-Bye," he said his face turning red.
Hylla then hugged her sister. The two of them exchanged some words in Spanish before Hylla pulled away. "Alright I'm off. See you all again, may we one day fight together again."
"Yeah lets do that," he said. With that Hylla quickly ran off to the van.
All that Thalia Grace saw was darkness. Am I dead? Her consciousness waxed and waned as various memories passed through her head. The memory of the arrow hitting her square in the chest replayed in her mind repeatedly.
She felt the pain in her chest, her vision going white as she fell down the cliff. The screams of Luke and Annabeth followed. Then it went all dark.
Luke Annabeth. Sometimes she could her their screams ringing in her head as her mind went blank.
"Thalia Grace," Kronos's voice reverberated throughout her mind and body as his powerful presence filled her body. It was if her body was being charged up by a lightning bolt a powerful presence that she never had felt before.
What is this power? She was intrigued by it as she felt her consciousness grow stronger and stronger. Kronos's power was flowing through her body. It made her flinch yet lit a hunger inside of her. This power is unlike anything else I have felt before.
"Thalia Grace by my power you are healed," Kronos said. "How does it feel?"
She shuddered. It feels miraculous. I've never felt anything like this before. Yet deep down she felt a growing hunger for this strength.
Kronos laughed. "If you wish it then claim it as your own. Serve me and you shall obtain it."
I-I understand. Luke and Annabeth are they ok? A wave of panic hit her but it was pushed aside by Kronos's energy.
"Worry not they are both alive by power." Kronos' voice didn't sound amused in fact she felt a bit of anger in his words. "I do not tolerate failure Thalia Grace. Serve me well or your family will perish. Your father is already searching for you.
My father? A wave of panic hit her. What would he say to her? That she joined the enemy's side. He never cared. Bitterness swept through her body. He never cared and his wife would've killed me by now. I'm sixteen I'm sure all of Olympus wants to kill me now.
"Worry not dear," Kronos said reassuringly. "The enemy shall not find you so long as you are with me. So long as you are loyal you shall obtain the power that you desire. So long as you are loyal to me you shall be reunited with your family."
A flash of light appeared in her vision as she saw a blonde haired boy with a purple shirt on. Her eyes widened. Jason. You're alive. If she could cry she would've shed tears.
"That's right my dear serve me well and you'll find him. You and your family shall be complete if you serve me to the fullest of your abilities." Kronos said his voice sounding half amused. "I have great things in store for you."
A jolt of energy passed through her body. She nearly screamed as she slowly woke up. Her heart raced in her chest as she looked around the room. Sweat fell down her face as she looked around what looked like a make shift hospital room in an abandoned house.
"Thalia!" She turned and saw Luke, her friend's eyes were wide as tears fell down your face.
"Luke-" She was cut off by a tight hug. Her heart raced in her chest as tears fell down her face.
"I missed you so much," Luke sobbed. "I thought you were dead."
"Me too," she said tears falling down her face as she hugged him back. "You and Annabeth are ok?"
Luke nodded and hugged her tightly. "We both are. We are safe and we are a family again."
She looked up at Luke her face inches away from his. "Reunited just like the old days."
Luke nodded and to her surprise,he leaned in closer and pressed his lips against hers. Her eyes widened as she returned it her arms wrapping around his body. A family
Hera frowned as she watched the Amazon's van drive off. Those two aren't Greek. Her form nearly shifted just looking at them. I thought both of them would leave. If they joint the Hunters or Amazons it would be easier.
Yet alas only one of the daughters of Bellona joined the Amazons. Things could get delicate. Chiron had already prayed to her for direction and so far she decided to be calm until she could get them both out of camp.
She stealthily left Olympus in the form of a bird and arrived near the Wolf House in California. Her form shifted to her Roman aspect Juno and she was greeted by the sight of a large mother wolf and other members of her pack. '
"Lady Juno what brings you here?" Lupa asked. "Do you inquire about your champion?"
"Not at the moment," she said. "We have a problem. One of Bellona's kids got mixed up with the Greek side."
Lupa let out a small growl. "Chiron tried contacting me about that. But I've been too busy dealing with monster attacks."
You and me both. The monsters of the Greek world attack the children of Rome just as much as the Greek demigods.
"Both of them are Bellona's daughters," she said. "One joined the Amazons the other still unaware of her true heritage."
"Well I can't just send my wolf pack to that camp," Lupa said. "In these times the last thing we need is a civil war."
"True. Though I doubt even Saturn would risk it," she said. It was odd how some changed from Greece to Rome. Saturn wasn't as hostile as Kronos and was widely worshiped during the Roman Empire. Even he would be affected if both camps went to war, it would be a foolish endeavor.
Lupa chuckled. "True. If you wish just be calm till things settle down with your Greek half. Situations like this have happened in the past and things will come to their order as they do."
"Of course," she said turning her back to the wolf. "I'll take my leave. Keep an eye on Jason." With Thalia Grace presumed missing it wouldn't be a good idea for Jason to end up hurt."
"Of course," Lupa said as she retreated with her wolves.
She then went to her next destination. Arriving in Los Angeles she returned to being Hera. After finding the presence she was looking for she found the fury Alecto looking over a graveyard. "You look well," she said.
Alecto became rigid as she turned to her and bowed. "Lady Hera what is it."
"I have a message for your Lord and my brother Hades," she said. "I know what those children are." Alecto's posture became rigid but she said nothing as she looked at the ground.
"I imagine he already knows one is gone," she said. "Worry not I'm not here to push his buttons. I need him to find a soul and lock it up immediately less we all suffer. In return I'll try to protect his daughter."
Alecto frowned. "Who?"
"Beryl Grace," she said.
