(A/N: Well, I'm back to doing this story since I am finished with Criminal Opinions)
Somewhere out in a giant snowy field, Lloyd and the wolf walk along it. "So, yeah, that's my dad." Lloyd said to the wolf, explaining his story to it. "Oni Garmadon. Lord of Destruction, King of Shadows." He sighs a little. "I wouldn't normally confide this stuff to someone I just met." The wolf sniffs around a little. "But I can tell you. You're just a wolf." The wolf soon charges over to a rock for a better view and getting the scent, making Lloyd laugh a little. "It's kinda nice to be able to get this off my chest, actually." The wolf gets off the rock. "Hmm, but I can't keep calling you 'wolf.' You ought to have a real name." He tries to think for a bit. "How about Rover?" The wolf thinks for a bit before barking in disapproval. "Uh, don't like that, huh?" The wolf keeps on trying to get the scent. "How about, uh, Buster? Buddy? No, those don't fit." He tries to think for a bit. "Maybe not Brody, 'cause that is my suggestion for my friend's baby, regardless of it being a boy or girl." He keeps thinking. "Fenrir, no, that's not good either." He looks at the wolf a little and clicks his finger. "Got it. How about 'Red'?" The wolf looks up at him. "You get it? 'Cause, you know, this." He points to his own cheeks, referring to the red marks on the wolf's cheeks. It soon barked out of approval. "We're making progress, Red." Beeping was soon heard, making Red whine out of fear as Lloyd soon got out the tracking device, raises the antenna, and looks at it. "The mech's signal is getting stronger." He then points forward. "This way!" He immediately started to run with Red following along.
After a few minutes, Lloyd was looking at the tracking device while slowly catching up with Red and sighs. "We're getting close, Red." Red soon stops and whines. Lloyd looks on to see a path between two mountains before Red barks to get his attention. Lloyd turned around to face it and sees it whining. "What's the matter?" It backs away a little. "Look, I've got to go this way." He points down the path. "You coming or not?" Red barks before sitting down while Lloyd briefly looked at the path ahead and then back to Red. "Come on, please." Red barks out of reluctance before getting up and heads over to Lloyd as he starts to move along the path. The path was filled with many pillars before Red steps on something that makes it whine. It looks down to see that it stepped on a bone before barking to get Lloyd's attention, and he turns to it. "What is it?" Red growls for Lloyd to look down and sees many ribs, still attached, or in pieces, causing him to gasp. "Bones? What happened here?" A shadow soon passed by, making him gasp. "What the hell was that?" They both turn around to see a giant bird come at them before they quickly drop down while it passed over them. They get up to see the bird circle around before it starts to come back at them. "Run!" Lloyd and Red immediately start to run as the bird passes by behind them and moves to pursue them. Lloyd and Red quickly hide behind a giant pillar each for the bird to pass by. Lloyd looked up to see the bird come around and stomped its feet on a mountain, bringing down giant rocks. Red jumps to the side to avoid a few as another one comes down towards it. "Red!" Lloyd quickly fired a shot of Energy at the rock, breaking it apart, and comes up to it. "You all right?" The bird soon screeches, making them look up to it before they start to run again. The bird raises its talons before landing very hard, sending Lloyd falling forward. He turned to see the bird raising a foot before moving its beak towards him, which he dodges by moving to the left, and grabs a bone before moving to the right to avoid another beak strike. He soon quickly gets up and resumes running, only for the bird to grab hold of him by his backpack, causing him to yell, and moves back. "No!" It starts to shake Lloyd about. "Get off me!" Red turns around to see the bird taking flight with Lloyd still in its beak before barking at it, turns around and heads up to a cliff as the bird was ascending. Red barks as it jumps off the cliff to charge at the bird, who looks up to see it getting on its head and scratches. The bird screeches in pain before throwing Lloyd aside and Red gets off, coming down to some rocks. "Red!" Red looks up to see Lloyd falling while dropping the bone in the process. It soon jumps off the rocks to come up to Lloyd and manages to get him on its back before landing on a mountain and moves down it while Lloyd held on. The bird screeched as Red runs along with the bird still chasing them until it comes across a cave with ice blocks around the entrance. It barks to get Lloyd's attention, who turns to it. "There!" He points to it. "A cave!" The bird screeches as it tries to grab Lloyd, who moved to the left, ending up falling off of Red, who enters the cave. The bird circles back as Lloyd quickly got up and rushes to the cave with Red barking at him before he jumps forward, managing to enter the cave while the bird quickly pulled up to avoid crashing into it.
In the cave, Lloyd lands on the ground, hitting his head in the process, as the tracking device comes out of his backpack.
Several Weeks Earlier
In Cirrus' bedroom at the monastery, Lloyd and Blake carry in the crib while groaning. "Can you believe Master Wu?" Lloyd asked.
"I know." Blake replied. "I mean, Mantis lets us use his room to use as a nursery. And then Dragon is like this." He clears his throat. "'This room must be untouched. It belongs to Hayden, and it will always be his room, no matter what you say. He is still a resident in this monastery.'" He tries his best to imitate Dragon.
"What was Cirrus' reaction?"
"She wasn't happy." He spoke in his normal voice before pointing to his right eye. "Ended up giving him the realm's hardest punch."
"Ouch."
"I know. That was after she called Mantis, who talked to Master Wu to try and convince him to give her his room, but he stubbornly told him not to."
"Well, you can't argue with his decisions."
"You're right."
"By the way, did you two decided on who the godfather should be?"
"I, uh, asked Master Wu for his suggestion, and I accepted who he think should be the godfather."
"Is it gonna be me?"
"Maybe."
"Hey, I'm sure whoever you chose as the godfather, they'd be glad to accept."
"Thanks, Lloyd."
Present
Lloyd wakes up to see the bird trying to get him, but couldn't because of the enclosed entrance before Red pulls him back and they watch the bird as it soon gave up before flying away. Lloyd then sighed out of relief, only to hear static, and looked down to see the tracking device had cracks on the screen and the antenna had broken off. "Oh, no." He picks it up to look at it and tries to get it to work while Red was looking ahead. "Aw, shit." Red soon started to growl, making Lloyd turn to it as it soon started to bark. "What's there, Red?" He looks on ahead to see a figure in the middle of the cave. "Who are you?" He hears no response before holding up a hand to ignite some Energy into it and moves forward along with Red, who growls at it. "Show yourself!" Upon reaching it, Lloyd soon discovered that it was the mech, left arm reattached, a little rusty, and trapped in some ice. Red was still growling before Lloyd lightly laughs. "It's okay. This is what I've been looking for. This is it." He comes up to the mech before climbing up to the cockpit. "Zane!" He looks inside, only to find the seat empty. "Zane, where are you?" He then looked to his left to find a campsite before turning left to see a console and a car battery. Tossing the Energy ball into the sky, Lloyd drops down to head over to the console. Looking at some jumper cables close by, Lloyd picks them up to connects them to the battery's electrodes. Static soon emitted from the console before he turned to see it turn on, revealing a slightly dirty and damaged Zane. "Zane?"
"Greetings, friend." Zane said. "If you've found this recording, then I am no longer here." Red whimpers a little as it comes up next to Lloyd, who frowns. "My name is Zane. I am a stranger in this land, trying to find my way home." Red looks at Lloyd briefly. Zane soon sighed. "It is difficult to keep track of the days in this place. It feels like I've been here a long time. But I refuse to give up hope-" Static soon emitted, making Lloyd gasp.
"No!" He grabs the battery and shakes it a little. "No, no, no!"
The screen comes back on and Lloyd puts the battery back down. "The mech's processing unit is damaged." Red turns to look at it, curiously. "I may be able to fix it, but it requires running a diagnostic. I will attempt to connect myself to the mech's processor." Static briefly emits before turning back to normal. "As long as the cable is not disconnected, I should be okay."
Static emits again. "Come on..." Lloyd slams the battery in anger.
The monitor returns to normal. "A friend of mine once said: 'Most endings only lead to new beginnings.' But I feel like there isn't a new beginning here. So, if anything goes wrong... If this should be found one day, please relay this message." Lloyd started to shed some tears. "'This is the last recording of Zane Julien, Master of Ice, son of Dr. Julien, student of Master Dragon Wu. I was built to protect those who cannot protect themselves, and I have tried to fulfil this purpose. I have no regrets. I had the best friends anyone could ask for. And, P.I.X.A.L., I love you. Farewell." The screen soon emits static once more.
Lloyd started to shed a few more tears. "Zane?" He soon rubbed his eyes to get rid of the tears. Red whines as Lloyd turned away from the monitor. Lloyd then turned to face the mech. "I may not be half the builder you are, Zane, but I'm twice as stubborn." He said to himself. "And I will get this thing working, if it's the last thing I do. That's a promise." He then turned to Red. "Right? You with me?" Red whines in approval. "Yeah."
Several minutes later, Red watched as Lloyd lifts up a panel on the mech to look in the components and sees a wire had been cut before using his Energy to reconnect them. He soon jumps up into the cockpit before he tries to start it, but it doesn't work, making him sigh. "Come on, come on..." He heads back to the components before looking at the battery as Red lies down while watching him. "Battery's dead. No wonder he couldn't fix it." He then turned to the console to look at the jumper cables. "I wonder..." Lloyd drops down to head over to them as Red got up to see him head over to grab them before he gets back to the components and connects them to the battery's electrodes. He then looked at the other end of the cables, exhaling a little. "Here goes nothing." Lloyd conjures some Energy before slamming the cable's clamps together, emitting some electricity through them. He raises them high as the green electricity flows through the cables, into the battery. He looks down to see the gauge on the components slowly rising, until it reaches full and the lights in the cockpit turn on before extinguishing his hands, puts the cables down and sighed. He gets in the cockpit and sits down before pressing a few buttons. The mech slowly started to activate before the monitor shows the gauges are on half. "Start, you vicious bastard!" He kicks the side of the cockpit and the gauges soon read full. The mech's eyes soon glow before it started to rise, breaking out of the ice blocks as it did so. Red started to growl at it. "Yes! Did it!"
Outside, the bird was curled up, waiting for its prey to come out before hearing footsteps and gets up to turn to the cave to see the ice slowly starting to crack before it breaks apart and the mech comes out. The bird gets up and screeches at it. "Want some of me?" He presses a button to make the mech poise. "Come and get it, you overgrown parakeet!" The bird soon took flight, screeched, and charges at the mech. It grabs hold of the mech's right arm and tries to peck at it, only for Lloyd to have the mech move its arm to throw the bird away. It lands on the ground before getting back up to charge. It soars to the left before turning to come at it, squawking as it did so. "Oh, no, you don't." He presses a button to make the mech grab hold of it before the bird soon raised its talons to scratch the right arm. "I'm trying hard not to hurt you, but I hope this stings a bit." He presses another button as the bird tries to bite into the arm before the mech started to spin around before throwing it to a mountain, and makes it crash into it. The bird quickly got up and screeched in anger with Red, who was watching the whole fight, whining out of fear. Lloyd then raised the mech's left arm to activate the shield's rotating blade. "Is it sinking in yet?" He then has it strike a nearby pillar as a threat, cutting it in half. "I am not your next meal." The bird soon squawked fearfully as the mech turned back to it before screeching and takes flight to fly away as Lloyd watched it before sighing out of relief. As the bird was heard squawking in the distance, Red slowly came up to one of the broken ice pillars. "It's safe." Upon hearing Lloyd's voice, Red immediately became shocked as it looked at the mech. "You can come out." He then had the mech kneel down before holding a hand out to it. "Come on. Hop aboard." Red whines in fear. "It won't hurt you, I promise. We'll be able to move a lot faster this way. Come on." Slowly but surely, Red comes over to the mech and sniffs the hand before jumping onto it. The mech soon stands up before climbing up a mountain. "Ready, pal? Here we go." The mech started to move as Red barks in approval. "We're coming, Zane. We're coming."
(A/N: Just to let you know, the whole fight scene... REALLY HARD TO HAVE DONE! I had to repeatedly watch it to write it down. But it was worth it)
