Dendemille Town was a beautiful place. Built upun a mountain, with various rows of homey houses, with a great mill standing tall above them all. It was cute and picturesque! Delia loved the placed, especially the grand Pokemon Showcase Theater. They had decided to make a stop there, because Delia was interested on Pokemon Showcases and the earliest one was being held there.

It had been an amazing idea to do that. Ash and Delia got to watch young Aria, an amazing rookie performer and her Braixen, as they took the stage and dazzled everybody. Especially, the Ketchums. She won the Princess Key for sure, by a big margin!

However, the reason why Ash loved going to Dandemille Town, was not for the show or even for the town itself. The reason happened before they even reached the town! On their way there, Delia had to hit the breaks before running over a pokemon egg that had been rolling down the hills. Of course, Nephele rapidly gathered the egg in her wings and not allowed anyone close to it.

To everyone's surprise, the egg hatched before they even made it into Dendemille Town. It was a Noibat! A dragon! Ash could not believe his luck as he turned to his mother with his stronggest lillipup eyes. There was no way Delia wouldn't cave, her son was just too cute!

Of course, they allowed Noibat to stay. Especially, with how Nephele kept coddling him, almost as if she had laid him herself. So, Delia caught the pokemon for her son, to transfer to him when he is old enough, as before.

Noibat had a lot of fun with his new family, learning how to fly under the careful care of his new mom. Nephele was delighted to have another baby dragon in her Thunder. Landon was ecstatic to be an older brother again and Ash was simply happy to have another pokemon. Dragons were not so easy to find after all!

Noibat's name was Bruce, named after the nice doctor that checked him out in the Pokemon Center after his hatching. Nurse Joy was too busy with the whole town full because of the showcase. For some strange reason the name amused Ash, but at the same time it was quite fitting. But the Young trainer could not place his finge ron the reason.

Oh, well, Bruce loved it and that was the most important thing.

At the momento, they were on their way to Laverre City, for a fashion show that Delia wanted to catch. Ash was all for it, he cared none for the fashion but loved learning new places and meeting new pokemon.

"What are you doing now? Writing down some notes for training?" Delia asked her son laughing, as she drove. Nephele was flying ahead of them, while Landon and Bruce were playing on the backseat.

"I am checking out Bruce's stats," Ash answered his mom, not looking up from his Pokedex.

"Now that you mention it, you have not shared them with me before," Delia hummed.

"I haven't?!" This time Ash looked up, startled at his mother's words. "I haven't! Sorry mom! I'll do it now!"

Pokemon: Noibat.

"Infiltrator?" Delia repeated. "What kind of ability is that? I have not heard about it before."

"Neither have I!" Ash exclaimed excitedly, he is always like that when it comes to pokemon. Dragons, more than others. "I had to look it up in the Pokedex and it is awesome! Infiltrator allows Bruce's moves to be unaffected by his opponent's barriers, substitutes, Reflect, Light Screen, Safeguard, Mist, and the like!"

"That's quite the ability," Delia turned to her son for a second, before going back to look at the road. She looked and sounded quite impressed, making Noibat in the back preen. "So, nothing short of Protect can stop Bruce? That's incredible sweetie!"

"It is!" Ash agreed with cheer.

"Maybe you can try a mock battle with the Laverre City Gym?" Delia offered, making Ash and the two dragons in the car turned to look at her horrified. "I think I am missing something."

"Mom, the Laverre City Gym is a Fairy-type gym," Ash answered her slowly. "I am not subjecting my poor dragons to those fairies unless I have to!"

"No, Laverre City Gym then, got it," Delia replied, chuckling at her son's melodrama.

"Mom! Stop!" Ash shouted, making Delia hit the breaks.

"Ashy?! What's wrong?!" Delia screeched, as Nephele rapidly flew down and stood before the car with her wings spread out.

"Look over there!" Ash pointed out to the wetlands by the side of Route 14. Following his finger, Delia gasped at what she saw. There was a Goomy being attacked by a large swarm of bug pokemon! "Nephele, Dragon Breath! Make sure they learn to never mess around with a dragon again!" Ash commanded, eyes blazing with fury.

Nephele let out a war cry, a melodious cry, but a war cry nonetheless. However, before she could do a thing, Landon let out a cry filled with fury. Ash turned around to the back seat and gasped as a blinding light forced him to shut his eyes. When he opened them Landon was no longer a Gible but a Gabite!

Landon, now a medium-sized dragon pokemon, stood before Ash, having jumped in front of the car, exuding a sense of power and mystique. His predominantly blue body shimmered in the light, captivated Ash's gaze. From the middle of his abdomen to the bottoms of his jaw, a striking red color adorned his underside, contrasting beautifully with the light blue.

Upon closer inspection, Ash noticed the spikes adorning Landon's hind limbs, adding an extra layer of fierceness to his overall appearance. His feet and wrists were adorned with sharp claws, a testament to his power and skill in combat. These formidable weapons spoke of Landon's readiness to defend and protect, striking fear into the hearts of any who dared challenge him.

Ash gasped when Landon turned around and was struck by the intensity within the dragon's eyes. His black sclerae contrasted against the striking golden irises, radiating a sense of determination and wisdom. He was no longer Ash's reckless little boy, he was now a mature protector!

In that awe-inspiring moment, Ash couldn't help but feel a surge of pride and wonder. His once small and playful Gible had transformed into a magnificent Gabite, showcasing his inherent strength and potential. The anatomical changes that unfolded before him were a testament to his training, a physical embodiment of his growth and transformation.

"Landon! Dragon Pulse!" Ash commanded. His smirk growing when Landon unleashed a powerful move that had all those nasty bugs screaming in pain. Ash did not wait for a second before jumping off the car and running towards the Goomy, as the bugs scattered away. As much as he would love to stay and praise Landon, he had a pokemon to take care of. "Hey, buddy, how are sweetheart?" Ash asked her gently, but the poor thing was too hurt. "Don't panic, this might sting a little bit, but it will heal you." Ash warned Goomy, before giving her a potion. Goomy whined, before melting in Ash's arms. "There we go," Ash smiled. "Good girl. Nephele will love having another girl in the Thunder. But what should I call you? Nephertite maybe? To match with Nephele?" Goomy made a pleasant sound. "Do you like that? Nephertite it is!"

"You know Ashy, you should ask me before making decisions like this," Delia said, after pulling the car to the side. Even though, she said that, she still had an empty Poke Ball outside for him.

"Thanks mom!" Ash beamed, taking the Poke Ball. He then turned to Nephertite and offered it to her excitedly. "Would you like to join us?"

"Goo-goomy!" Nephertite cheered, bumping her head into the Poke Ball and being suked in.

The Pokedex chimed in response to the catch.
