Beta Reader: cherrybombees

Hey everyone, I am SOO sorry about the long wait. Things have been really crazy on my end with my Beta Reader not feeling well while on vacation, then Cloud4012 had pneumonia a month ago, (which he is doing fine now btw) and then I went to Comic Con in the same month. It was a blast to meet my favorite VA's in one room. And I'm going back in June.

Anyways, I hope you will enjoy the newest chapter, it'll be a surprise.

Chapter 11: Training Interlude I

We found Ash and his friends, nearing the end of Route 6 and were so very close to Vermilion City.

Even though it's been many gruesome and frustrating weeks trying to get there in the first place, a lot has happened in between. They all managed to catch at least one new Pokémon, Ash has made a new rival, helped on getting a horrible person incarcerated, even turning a once group of troublemaking Squirtle into members of society.

Arriving at a small clearing they had decided to take a break for lunch and to train before they reached Vermillion City.

"I cannot WAIT until we finally get there." Misty sighs looking at the map. "It feels like we've been walking for literal months."

"Misty it hasn't even been one since Cerulean City." Brock deadpanned.

"Well to me it felt like it." Misty huffs.

"Why don't you try looking at the positives? Brock didn't you have something you wanted to do when we got there?" Ash recalled.

That brightened Brock's face. "Yeah, you're right. The next Breeder competition is scheduled to take place there and I gotta be there the day before the deadline."

"Well if we continue at this pace you should be there with time to spare." Misty assumes.

"Do you think they'll have the same events as last time?" Ash asks.

"I don't know but after lunch, I need to do some training if I want to compete." Brock said.

"And speaking of training, I wanna start training some of the new Pokémon I caught." Ash said thinking of the 3 starters he has caught. He remembers what Brock told him after Mt. Moon about how he can swap Pokémon out from Oak's Corral at any time.

"Better choose carefully Ash. You don't want to leave your team imbalanced." Brock warns.

"Don't worry, I'm probably just gonna do one or two." Ash reassured him.

'I better do some training too or these guys are gonna leave me in the dust.' Misty thought.

Once lunch was done, each of the friends went off in their own way in the area to begin their training sessions.

First was Ash as he threw all six of his Pokéballs in the sky. "Come on out guys!" With all of them open, Ash's team appeared before him.

"Fear!"

"Karp!"

"Nya!"

"Ekans!"

"Bzzt!"

"Shrew!"

"Alright guys we're coming up on my next gym and you six have been awesome for me, but I'm gonna be sending two of you back to Pallet Town." Ash informs.

That surprised the group to hear that they'll be sent back to Pallet Town. "It's not permanent, I just figured if some of you wanted to take a break. That's all." Ash said.

"Fear?" Talon chirped.

"Well I don't think so, Talon. I have a feeling it might be best to hold onto you for a little longer." Ash smirks. Talon breathed a sigh of relief hearing that.

"Magikarp?" Mystic was thinking she would go, since she couldn't really walk on land.

"Vermillion City is by the coast Mystic, meaning we might have some challenges by the ocean which is just where you'll shine" Ash points out.

"Karp!" She smiled.

"Ekans. Ekans." Naga said being the first to agree to head back.

"You're OK with it, Naga?" Ash asked as she nodded. "Alright, now just one more.."

Looking at each other, Quake, Bastet and Videl wondered who would step up.

"Nya." Bastet raises her paw volunteering.

"You two huh? OK then." Ash then took his Pokédex out

and opened it up. "Alright let's see..so Brock said the white button.." looking to the compartment, he saw the button in question and pressed it.

That's when the hubscreen started turned on and showed some slots which says "ASH'S PC"

One slot showed each Pokémon he had on him now.

FEAROW/TALON

MAGIKARP/MYSTIC

MEOWTH/BASTET

EKANS/NAGA

BEEDRILL/VIDEL

SANDSHREW/QUAKE

"Woah.." Then he sees another slot under it, which shows the Pokémon he has currently in Prof. Oak's possession.

BULBASAUR/ALPHA

CHARMANDER/TORCH

SQUIRTLE/SHADES

Then it showed the number of Pokémon Ash has in total.

Ash's Number of Pokémon: 9

Counting Evolutions: 10

"Hmm I already have Mystic as a Water type so I'll swap Bastet and Naga for Torch and Alpha." Ash noted to himself.

He selected the Pokémon he wanted and who to exchange for and pressed select.

Suddenly a light enveloped Bastet and Naga transporting them away and in their place Torch and Alpha's Pokeballs appeared.

"To think technology can do that, that's awesome!" Ash said, truly amazed as he threw the Pokéballs in the air, releasing the starters.

"Bulbasaur!"

"Char!"

"Everyone meet Alpha and Torch." Ash introduced. The four remaining Pokémon greeted them, welcoming them to the team.

"Saur?" Alpha said, looking up at Talon surprised.

"Fearow." Talon replied with a nod, acknowledging that he did evolve.

"Bulbasaur." Alpha said, impressed.

Torch meets the other Pokémon. "Charmander."

"Shrew." Quake shook his paw with him.

"OK guys gather around." Ash said, gaining everyone's attention. "There's a new gym battle on the horizon, so I think it's time we amp our training up to the next level. I want you guys to show Alpha and Torch the ropes, OK?"

All of the previous Pokémon nodded.

"Now let's get to work and make this gym three for three !" Ash declares as all of them cheer in agreement.

We now turn our attention to Misty near the river, where she released Staryu, Starmie, Goldeen, Seel and Oddish out of their Pokéballs.

"We were amazing during our battle against Ash but since then we haven't done much. Meanwhile Ash and Brock are determined to get stronger. We need to make sure we're at their level." Misty said.

All of the Pokémon cheered, wanting to get stronger just like them for Misty.

"Oddish, I know you're new to the team but I believe you can keep up with the others." Misty said.

"Oddish Od." Oddish nodded, her leaves bobbing in their spot. It may have been awhile since Oddish seriously trained, but she'll try her best.

"It'll be interesting training a non-water Pokémon but let's see how we do." Misty said.

She first instructs the water Pokémon to do ten laps around the water. Oddish meanwhile had to run laps along the river bank.

So Misty was indeed going to be busy.

Finally we see Brock on the hill, with Onix, Geodude, Paras and Zubat at the ready.

"It's been a long time since we've trained seriously you two." Brock said, looking at Geodude and Onix. "Even if I'm not the Gym Leader anymore, that doesn't mean we have to be rusty."

Roaring, Onix and Geodude were pumped to get back into it.

"As for you two.." Brock turns to Zubat and Paras. "Hope you two can keep up with us."

"Paras Par." Paras said nervously while Zubat nodded ready.

Getting to work, Brock first had Geodude roll down and up the hills.

While Onix and Zubat were training together. Zubat had to use his speed to dodge Onix's attacks and Onix had to overcome a faster opponent.

And finally, Paras was working on his attacks.

"You've used your attacks to help make medicine, but now I want you to attack with them." Brock instructs.

"Paras.." a look of uncertainty appeared on Paras's face. He's never used his power to battle before.

"Hey that's what this training session is for. To get used to new things, to get better at what you do." Brock said, bending down. "You want to be a better Pokémon, don't you?"

"Paras." Paras nods slowly.

"Well I'm going to be with you every step of the way. So don't worry." Brock assures.

Feeling a new brim of confidence in him, Paras was ready to get started.

"Alright, now let's start off small. Let's see an Absorb attack!"

"Paras. Par!" Glowing green Paras began absorbing energy.

"Make it bigger, get as much energy as you can!" Brock encouraged it.

"Paras!!" Crying out, the grass it was standing on began to lose color.

"Whoa." Brock said as Paras collapsed having drained too much.

"Paras." Paras apologizes.

"You did well on your first try. You'll get there." Brock smiles, petting him. Brock was going to have his hands tied with this newcomer.

Back with Misty, she was also struggling with her training.

"Okay Seel, it's showtime." Misty said, but Seel misinterpreted and began clapping.

"No Seel, not THAT kind of showtime." She groaned while face-palming. "I meant getting ready to see what you can really do outside of the performance phase."

Across from Seel, Staryu was ready to battle.

"Oddish, I want you to pay close attention because someday I'll have you battle." Misty said.

"Odd." Showing a little hesitancy, Oddish nodded.

"Seel use Aurora Beam!"

As Seel fires the multi-colored beam, Staryu spun with Rapid Spin dodging the attack.

"Use Water Gun, Staryu!" Misty said as Staryu knocked Seel backwards with a blast of water from his head appendage.

"Seel Seel." Shaking its head, Seel glared at Staryu.

"Hang tough Seel. Use Bubblebeam!" Firing a barrage of bubbles it clashed with Water Gun splashing water everywhere.

Some water splashed onto Oddish, but it didn't matter. "Now Seel, Headbutt!" Charging forward, Seel rams into Staryu, knocking it into the water.

Oddish looked over and jumped back when Staryu resurfaced and spun wildly. "Hya!"

Surprised, Oddish couldn't believe how tough these two were. The two went toe to toe with the other. Staryu pelted Seel with a flurry of stars from its gem, Seel retaliated by smacking it in the face with its tail fin.

"Oddish." Looking over Misty could tell this battle was getting to her new catch.

She smiles with satisfaction, 'Knew it would work.'

Finally with Ash, we see him and his Pokémon going through rigorous training exercises.

Quake and Torch were working on boosting making their slashes stronger scratching the boulders.

Talon was flying through the trees doing aerial maneuvers with Videl trying to keep up.

Mystic flopped out of the water while flailing around to smack Alpha's vines right back at him whenever he tried to lash out at her.

"That's it. Come on guys. You're all doing great." Ash encourages.

As all of them trained, a figure was making her way through the forest.

"Hmm now which way is it?" She asks, looking at a map. "Ugh I thought I fixed all the bugs with this thing."

"Faster, Alpha!" They suddenly heard a voice nearby.

Making her way out of the trees we see the figure was a young woman who looked to be in her early twenties with fair skin and long brown hair with green eyes and had a familiar pendant around her neck.

As the girl looked down at the trainers and their Pokemon her eyes widened to see Ash in the group.

"Ash?!" She gasps, getting their attention. "Ash Ketchum?"

"Huh?" Looking up Ash sees her make her way down. "Uh have we met?"

"Really?" She said putting her hands on her hip. "I know I've been gone for a while but you seriously forgot me after all those times I helped you deal with my brother?"

Ash froze for a couple of seconds as he looked at the girl's face. Suddenly, something hits like a brick wall as his eyes widen in shock.

He stepped towards the girl as he said, "D-D-Daisy..i-is that really you?!"

"Long time no see Ash." Daisy smiles.

Ash slowly made his way towards the girl, which turned into a run as he hugged her.

Taking a break from their training, Misty and Brock noticed this reunion to their confusion.

"It's so good to see you." Ash said.

But when he did Daisy got a look at his scars.

"Oh my goodness. What the heck happened to you?" Daisy said cupping his face. "Did my brother do this? When I get my hands on him I swear I'll--"

"Daisy no. It wasn't your brother." Ash said, stopping her.

"It wasn't?" Daisy asks, confused.

"It was well..mostly my fault." Ash admits, confusing her.

"Um Ash, as much as I hate to break up past reunions, but do you think you could fill us in on who this is?" Misty asked.

"Oh uh Misty, Brock this is Daisy. She's one of my old friends from Pallet Town." Ash introduced.

"Daisy Oak, a pleasure to meet you both." She declares surprising them.

"O-Oak?" Misty stuttered.

"Does that mean you're related to..?" Brock trails off.

"Prof. Oak? Of course, he's my grandfather." Daisy confirmed.

"And Gary's older sister." Ash also confirmed.

"Wait, I don't remember Prof. Oak mentioning you when I met him at the hospital." Misty recalls.

"Sadly I was away on a Research Trip. I had been gone for 2 years. Besides, Grandpa knows that I don't need people giving me special treatment because I know him." Daisy explains.

'Unlike a certain jerk..' Ash thought to himself in a dark tone.

"It's nice to meet you both. Any friend of Ash is okay in my book." Daisy smiles, shaking their hands.

"Likewise." Misty nodded.

"Um, yes of course. Same here." Brock said with a blush on his face as he shook her hand vigorously.

"So Ash, is it safe to assume you're on your way to the Vermillion City Gym?" Daisy assumes.

"You know me well. Brock is also competing in the Breeder Competition." Ash adds.

"Really? You know I took a few classes on Rock Pokemon. If you don't mind, I could have a look at your Pokemon." Daisy offers.

"Yes. Yes of course." Brock nods as he then calls out to his Pokémon. "Onix, Geodude!"

The rock golem and giant snake hopped and slithered towards their spot.

Bending down, Daisy examined both Pokemon.

"Hmm, their rocks are so shiny. You've done a good job taking care of them." Daisy smiles.

"Heh, well I coat them with wax and make sure to give them a good shine every morning," Brock replied sheepishly.

"Well you'll have to learn a new tactic for these two. Grass and Flying Pokémon require much different treatment to stay in good condition." Daisy said, looking at Paras and Zubat.

"Well so far I've been working on getting Zubat's speed up to the bar and helping Paras with his Absorb." Brock said.

"Well Zubat are small but they use that to help increase their agility and evasiveness meanwhile Paras help draw nutrients from their mushrooms. If you try focusing on that it might help move things along." Daisy points out.

"The mushrooms huh?" Brock muttered, coming up with potential thoughts.

"Ooh Daisy. Can you have a look at my Pokemon next?" Misty asks eagerly for some tips.

"Alright then." Daisy obliged as Misty whistled as her team lined up in front of her.

"Wow, you guys really warmed up to her fast." Ash chuckles.

"Having a Researcher's Opinion is always valuable to have. You see her as just your friend but she sounds like she can be a lot of help." Brock said.

When she was younger Daisy was known to be a big book worker around Pallet Town. Like Ash, she loved Pokémon and wanted to know so much about them. So her grandfather has been her tutor.

'Hmm maybe I should ask Daisy for some tips.' Ash thought.

Daisy was inspecting all of Misty's Pokémon. "Well Daisy. What do you think?" Misty asked.

"Well obviously you're a fan of Water Pokémon." Daisy said.

"Yep love everything about them." Misty smiles proudly.

"And that's good and all, but not always the best. Since you're so used to it you don't know how to work with other types. Grass Pokémon can easily handle water attacks but they require a lot more training on dry land so they can be at their best." Daisy said.

"Uh yeah, that's the newest problem I'm handling right now." Misty admitted.

"Well it never hurts to branch outside your comfort zone. You're hesitant and Oddish is picking up on that. If you can be confident then your Pokémon can pick up on that and be confident as well." Daisy explains.

"Hmm.." humming to herself, Misty began to wonder about the possibilities of branching out to other types.

"A little tip. Most of your Water Pokémon have the ability to battle on land. Have them work with Oddish that way you have a team that's fierce on land and water." Daisy suggests.

"OK I'll see what I can do." Misty nodded, ready to get back to work.

"Wow, you really learned a lot in 2 years." Ash said, impressed.

"I try." Daisy shrugs.

For the past hour and a half, Daisy's advice has really stuck with Brock and Misty as they were taking what she said to heart.

Meanwhile, Ash was getting back to work with his Pokémon. "OK Torch, try it again!" Ash yelled.

"Char!" With a roar, Torch raised his fist as it glowed brightly and crumbled the rock into pieces.

"Now that's a Mega Punch." Ash grins impressed.

"Char!" Torch smiled, happy to have successfully learned a new attack.

"Sandshrew." Spinning with Rollout, Quake smashes into the rock next to Torch making a big hole in the center.

"Awesome job improving Gyro Ball, Quake!" Ash calls out.

"Shrew." Quake grins hoping he would get his chance to battle soon.

Ash then turned his attention to his Bulbasaur. "OK Alpha, let's see you doing Growth."

"Saur-saur" As Alpha's bulb gathered nutrients his power began to increase.

"Now for a test drive, Vine Whip! Go!" Ash points.

"Saur!" Swinging a vine it glowed green allowing him to make a large gash in a tree trunk.

An intrigued grin appeared on Alpha's face.

"Oh we can definitely work with this." Ash said with a matching grin.

"I'm impressed at how well you're taking your training seriously." Ash turned to see Daisy walking over.

"Well I learned that from my first gym battle that I had to make sure my Pokemon were up for it. Especially because I didn't have anything with an advantage. So I had to make my own choices." Ash said.

"You really have changed, Ash." Daisy said, surprised. "Whatever happened to that little hyperactive kid I used to see running around Pallet screaming to the heavens, 'Someday, I'm gonna be a Pokémon Master!'?" She asked.

"Well uh, things happened. He still wants it, he just now knows how hard it is." Ash said, touching the scarred part of his face.

Daisy frowns as she said, "Ash, earlier you said that whatever happened to you was your fault. What did you mean?"

"It started on the day of my journey. I was so desperate to have a Pokémon I ended up taking the most disobedient and selfish Pokémon out there. And because of that I just made one bad choice after another until finally I was attacked and my Pokémon abandoned me." Ash explains horrifying her.

"Oh my god no.." Daisy covered her mouth. What kind of Pokémon did her grandpa have that would do this?

"Worst day of my life, now I don't even know if I can still have that dream." Ash frowns.

"What are you talking about? Look at you." Daisy said, holding his shoulder. "The fact you made it this far shows you that you can still go on."

"You really think so?" Ash said surprised.

"Are you kidding? How many people can get back up after a mess like that? You have what it takes, Ash." Daisy said.

Looking up to her a big smile appeared on his face. "This is why I missed having you around,Daisy; you never failed to get me back up on my feet."

"It's a gift. So speaking of help, you want me to give you a few tips?" Daisy offers.

"Anything to get us up to speed." Ash nodded.

"Well I happen to know that the Vermillion Gym specializes in Electric Types." Daisy points out.

"Electric Types.." once Ash heard this, his mind went elsewhere thinking of another electric rodent.

"Yeah so that Sandshrew of yours is definitely a good one to use." Daisy points.

"Alright that's one..and maybe Alpha." Ash said, looking at the grass starter.

"A Grass type is also a good one. But while you figure out your third mind if I tell you a few interesting details about your Pokemon?" Daisy smirks.

"Not at all." Ash said, opening up for suggestions.

Leaning Daisy whispers something to him causing his eyes to widen.

"Seriously? Mystic can do that?" Ash said surprised.

"Most people wait until it evolves for it to learn it." Daisy smirks.

"Tell me, what do I do?" Ash asks, eager to have her learn it.

"You've been relying on your Magikarp's physical power but for this one, you're gonna have to help her harness her other abilities for this one to work." Daisy said, pointing to her forehead.

Looking at the Magikarp swim at her own pace, Ash could see that Daisy may be right.

"Daisy, you're the best." Ash said.

"All I did was give you a few pointers. The rest is up to you." Daisy shrugs.

Nodding, Ash runs over to the pond. "Hey Mystic!" He called out.

Watching on, Daisy couldn't help but smile at how Ash was now a whole lot mature. The young boy was taking everything that's happened to him. In her mind, she flashbacks to a time when she was younger back in Pallet Town.

Five years ago…

We see a young Daisy, sitting on the steps of Prof. Oak's lab looking out at the Pokemon. There was an Oddish and a Bellsprout playing nearby as a Staryu playfully blasted them with water.

"Cannonball!" A voice yells as a figure jumps into the pond splashing all three Pokemon.

"What the?" Daisy jumps from her seat and runs over to see the source, resurface from the water. "Oh Ash, not again!" We see a younger Ash Ketchum, by the age of 5.

"Ha! I caught ya!" Ash smiles, holding onto Staryu.

"Ash, get out of there. You're all soaked." Daisy said, picking him up. "Oh now what am I going to tell your mom?"

"Come on Daisy. I was just having some fun." Ash said.

"Yeah, but you're not even in the right swimwear." Daisy sighs. "Come on, let's get you dried up."

Grabbing a towel, Daisy dries him off.

"You know the Pokémon on this ranch are off limits to catching." She scolds.

"I wasn't gonna catch them, I was just playing with them." Ash pouts.

"Ash, I know you want to be a trainer, but you have to be patient." Daisy said.

"But that's gonna be sooo long! I can't wait five years." Ash whined. "You're so lucky, Daisy. You can go out on a Pokémon journey anytime you want."

"Yeah but I'm not really sure being a Pokemon Trainer is for me." Daisy admits.

That surprised the young boy. "Huh? What do you mean? Everybody I know wants to be a trainer when they turn ten."

"Yeah but I think my interests with Pokemon lie elsewhere. Sure I'm excited to have Pokemon, but I want to learn more about them. Kinda like what Grandpa does." Daisy said.

"So..you wanna be a Pokémon Professor?" Ash asks.

"I think so. I want to help trainers learn all they can about Pokemon." Daisy said.

"Well when you do, you can help me learn." Ash smiles, getting her attention.

"Deal. You'll be one of my first trainers." Daisy smiles.

"Yes!" Ash cheered. "Soon I'll probably be SO much better than Gary, he'll be so jealous!"

"You and my brother. I swear you two will never stop fighting." Daisy chuckles softly.

It was really cute seeing her little brother and Ash with their little friendly rivalry.

And to this day, Daisy kept her promise and is helping Ash become a better trainer.

(Flashback Ends...)

As the sun was setting, Daisy joined them all for dinner.

"And so then Ash jumped into the pond and the little Poliwag was struggling to try to escape his hug." Daisy said as they all laughed.

"What can I say? I wanted a Pokemon." Ash said embarrassed.

"Little you, sure knew how to get into a lot of trouble." Misty giggled.

"It's a gift." Ash shrugs.

"You still get into trouble." Brock adds.

"OK we get, I'm trouble-prone. Are you happy?" Ash said, annoyed.

"Alright, I think we've tortured him enough for one night." Daisy said.

"But on a real note Daisy, are we glad we've met you." Misty said.

"Me too. It's nice to see you found a cool group to travel with Ash." Daisy said.

"You said it. I dunno where I'd be without em." Ash nodded.

"So you guys feel more confident about your chances now?" Daisy asks.

"Yeah a little." Brock nods

"What are you planning to do when you leave?" Misty asked.

"Well there's this knowledgeable Pokémon Researcher on the outskirts of Vermillion City. I want to talk to him and compare notes." Daisy points out.

"Another researcher, huh?" Ash asks. That's pretty interesting to know.

"I mean if you're not in a rush maybe we can take you there. Like as a way of saying thanks." Brock offers moving closer.

"Yeah good idea Brock. We could head there together." Ash said.

"What do you say Daisy?" Misty asks.

"I guess it could be fun." Daisy shrugs.

The group were happy to hear they've gotten a temporary traveling partner.

The next morning Daisy sat on the hill watching the final leg of their training.

First we go to Brock.

"Zubat, Acrobatics!" Brock shouts as Zubat moves at breakneck speed that could rival Agility. Roaring Onix used Rock Throw and as the boulders rained down Zubat flew to avoid them.

Onix appeared in front of Zubat, successfully catching the speedy target.

He then looked down towards Geodude and Paras.

At the bottom of the hill, Paras stood its ground as Geodude rolled down the hill.

"Paras!" As his mushrooms glowed Paras took the attack before grabbing Geodude and absorbed his energy.

"Dude.." Geodude cringed feeling the super-effective move against him, but kept rolling.

"Paras. Par." Paras growls being pushed back.

"Come on Paras, pull through! You can do it!" Brock shouted in encouragement.

Bending down it looked like Paras was breaking, but instead Geodude rolled onto of his mushrooms allowing Paras to bounce him off. "Paras!" He jumped, and sent Geodude into the air.

"Whoa way to pull through Paras." Brock smiles proudly.

"Paras!" The mushroom crab Pokémon cried out with a big smile.

"Well that was clever." Daisy said.

Turning to Misty, we see her with all but Goldeen training on land with Oddish.

"Oddish, Razor Leaf!" Misty shouts.

"Oddish!!" Oddish spun around, making razor-sharp leaves fly out of its head stem.

Using Rapid Spin, Staryu and Starmie spun like windmills deflecting the attacks while Seel used Aurora Beam freezing them.

"Use Bullet Seed!" Misty said as Oddish stopped spinning and spat out a barrage of seeds like a machine gun.

Hitting all three water Pokemon, they landed in the river making a big splash.

"Oddish!" Oddish said, amazed.

"Awesome job, Oddish!" Misty cheered.

Jumping up and down, Oddish was thrilled to finally be able to fight back.

"Looks like she's finally getting the hang of things." Daisy smiled with a nod before looking at the final member of the group, and her little brother-like friend.

We see Ash and Mystic facing off against Alpha.

"Come on Mystic I know you can do it." Ash said.

"Bulbasaur!" Alpha unleashed Razor Leaf at her.

"Mystic, Hydro Pump!" Diving underwater to dodge, Mystic resurfaces and releases a small focused stream of water. Bulbasaur took the attack head on as water had no effect on him.

"Not bad Mystic. Little more and you'll have mastered your first water attack." Ash said.

"Karp." Nodding Mystic tried to do the move again. When Daisy informed Ash that Magikarp could learn Hydro Pump, he was hysterical.

"Recent documents uncovered showed us that Magikarp has been known to use Hydro Pump. But it takes a lot of discipline that normally trainers don't try until they evolve." Daisy smirks.

And she knew for a fact that Ash wasn't just a normal trainer. All of them were shining after an entire day of training.

'Well my work here is done, but now all that's missing is for one last thing.' Daisy thought.

Getting up, Daisy made her way down towards Ash.

"Well, satisfied?" Daisy asks.

"I think so. Thanks for all the help Daisy. You're an amazing Researcher." Ash said.

"Oh stop, I'm just doing what I do best." Daisy giggled.

"Well Brock, Misty and I sure appreciated it." Ash said.

"Anything to help future Pokémon lovers." Daisy nodded. "Now then, are you guys ready to go?"

"Yeah I think we are." Ash said returning all his Pokémon.

Looking over they saw Misty and Brock grab their bags.

"You know Ash you may look different but I still see that crazy little kid who dreamt of being a Pokemon Master." Daisy smiles.

Ash turned to Daisy with a grin, "Like I told you, he's still here and is never gonna leave."

"That's what I want to hear." Daisy said as they made their way up to join their friends.

After a heartfelt day of training and running into an old acquaintance of Ash, Daisy temporarily joins the crew as they make their way towards (hopefully) Vermillion City.
