Narrator pow:
"Hmph, quite a calm place for what happened in the Sport Festival." Vilem said to himself out loud as he made his way to the locker room. "Oh wait, I am literally one of the first to arrive. Silly me." He corrected himself, seeing that a clock hanged on the top of the wall showed 7:40 A.M.
"Oh, Vilem." A familiar tone caught up to him. "Nice to see you again."
"Me too, Sir." Vilem, smiled partially turning to face Aizawa as he also began unlocking his locker. "Something specific to discuss?"
"Indeed." He responded. "You surely had already heard of villain attack that took place when you returned from Slovakia."
"Yup." Half-Slovak nodded. "Another time someone with a Quirk dangerously similar to mine shows up and causes chaos."
"You know that he and his partned basically damaged All Might and stole his blood for fun?" His teacher asked him, mostly irritated.
"This is why I am so stubborn to face such threats myself, whenever you agree or not." Vilem responded. "They are just out of your league." He added as he opened the small doors and put in some personal belongings that aren't meant to be dragged into a classroom.
"Your?" Teacher asked him back.
"Plural." Vilem specified. "All Might wasn't enough, then what should make me, and others, believe that any other Hero is?"
"Just because of one incident you stopped believing in Heroes?" Aizawa asked him.
"This is no incident, Sir." Vilem responded. "This is All Might we talk about. Apparently Symbol of Peace didn't defeat a villain first time in a looong time. Nevernind being close to doing so."
"Alright, I guess we won't convince eachother anytime soon." His teacher sighed without remorse as he walked past him. "See you in the class."
"Sure thing." Half-Slovak responded as he closed the locker. "Sure... Thing..."
"Oh boy, kids are at it again..." Vilem internally groaned as he saw Midnight walking into their classroom. As if the post-festival excitement combined with comparisons on their internship applications wasn't annoying him enough. "Hmm... One hundered and nine on Momo. He didn't turn his back at first ocassion." He slightly smiled, finally taking a closer notice of the numbers on the left side of the classroom.
"Everything Hero: Creati." Momo said, snapping his attention back to her for a while.
"Creative!" Midnight complemented her on the side. "Oh, Vilem. I know we didn't mention you so far but the Slovakian authorities have your Hero name registered as... Bone Hero: Sans. Is that correct?" She asked him afterwards.
"Yes." Vilem responded shortly.
"And you didn't told us?!" Mina shouted at him.
"Was I supposed to?"
Collective class groaning*
"Hey there." Vilem spoke up, as he walked up to Momo in the cafeteria. "Mind if we sit together?"
"Erm, no! Not at all." She responded with a weird sense of suspense as they walked up to the nearby table and took the seats against eachother.
"Hello you two." Hagakure greeted the from Momo's side.
"How it is with you?" Ojiro added, turning his head right from the meal and starred at Vilem.
"I go back to Slovakia as a Pro." Half-Slovak smiled. "I don't need to limit myself with a internship while I can go fully on my own as independent Hero in my homeland."
"Mhm, sounds good." Tailboy nodded. "Me and Hagakure will propably choose to attend one of UA associated agencies for our internship. No invitations were made for us."
"Wait, didn't you tell us prior to the festival that you would take us with yourself if you were allowed to?" Hagakure added, leaning forward over the table.
"Well, I did." Vilem nodded. "But I don't know about this. Like, international internships work very differently from ones in the home country... Hello Sir."
"Hello to you too, Vilem." Eraser Head added, standing directly next to him much to the other's shock. "Your conversation reminded me of something." He added, taking out three letters and handing them to Momo, Ojiro and Hagakure. "I wish you a good day." He added shortly, walking away from dumbfounded trio and Vilem.
"What's inside?" Vilem asked with relaxed face.
"Let me see..." Ojiro added, opening the envelope and taking out the card. "It's... An internship invitation from you?" He asked him.
"Wait, it is!" Hagakure exclaimed, looking over the text.
"It's legitimate." Momo added, looking over her own. "How did you make it?"
"I am a legal Pro Hero in Slovakia. Plus, I know how to talk with right people. Everything else is confidential." Vilem smiled, looking over the trio. "What do you think? Wanna take a Euro Trip to Bratislava?"
"Sign me up!" Toru shouted, grabbing Ojiro by the collar. "And you're going with us too!"
"S-sure..." He responded, sounding rather used to this than angry.
"Momo?" Vilem asked the fourth person at the table. "How about you?"
"Well, I am conflicted between you and. Uwabami's Hero Agency..." Yaoyorozu responded, placing the letter aside.
"Uwabami? The sneak lady that mostly jumps between TV channels and commercials?" Vilem asked her, rising his eyebrow with suspicion.
"Wait! I remember her!" Hagakure added, placing Ojiro down. "She used to advertise a residential housing in which my parents built few years ago."
"How small this world is..." Tailboy commented, smiling sincerely.
"Don't get me wrong. She can definitely tell you a lot about presenting yourself before the cameras." Vilem added, trying to comfort Momo about his comments. "But... You want to do a Hero work, right?"
"Yes." Momo added. "But I don't think I am ready yet."
"Neither are these two." Half-Slovak responded, pointing at Hagakure berating Ojiro for his comments. "And Uwabami... Well, she won't give you a chance to do much of that." He paused for a short while. "Besides, you already know how to present yourself in the public, right?"
"Well, my parents did bring me with themselves for various meetings and business parties..." Momo responded, sighing deeply. "But that only accounts for other high-class people and families, like mine. I didn't got to talk with normal people before UA."
"Oh right, rich people fund private education and home tutors." Vilem nodded. "Now then, let's eat. I see this isn't comfourtable for you."
"Mhm, thank you-!"
"Why backing out so soon?" Hagakure jumped sideways to her.
"Toru, let her be." Vilem said with dreadful tone, making her back out. "Can we discuss it later, today?"
"I can manage." Momo smiled weakly back at him. "After classes?"
"After classes." Vilem nodded decisively before they went back to their meals.
"Oh, how professional from him." Nezu commented as he, Aizawa and Yagi were reading a messeage on the latter's phone.
"He even used official language." 1-A classroom teacher added. "He really wanted all three of them to get a choice."
"So we respond positively?" UA Principal asked him.
"Under clause of his professionalism." Aizawa responded. "He must keep up the standards common for everyone in this work."
"Don't worry, my friend will take care of that." Toshinori smiled, looking back at a picture on which he was shown alongside a familiar to him Hero.
"Mt. Ebott Villain Hideout Raid - Operation Command Team
All Might, Hivemind and their trusted coworkers."
"Still can't understand why only he was named here." Aizawa shrugged his arms.
"Oh well, the photographer wasn't acknowledge with other Heroes, so he only named us." Japan's No. 1 Hero responded politely. "Quite funny, now that I looked back at those times..."
"I am ready now." Momo said, as she and Vilem came in touch after the last class, making sure that others left them behind as they slowed down their walking speed on purpouse. "Rain has left heavy risk of skidding, so the driver will arrive later."
"Well then." Vilem put his hands together, almost losing his breath as he stalled in a weird pose. "What do you need me to explain?"
"Isn't that sentence with 'want' instead of 'need'?" She asked him, slightly weirded out.
"'Want' implies that you demand something from me." Half-Slovak corrected her. "It is also uncultured. 'Need' sounds better as it is now."
"Oh, right, sorry." She apologised, looking aside.
"No problem, you asked and I answered. That's how it works." He smiled, looking forward and noticing last person form their class to leave their sight. "May we continue?"
"Um, right, sure." Momo responded, turning her head back to face him as they finally started moving forward. "Why do you gave us these internships?"
"For Ojiro and Toru I made a promise about it." Vilem began his explaination. "And the promise I kept. But as for you... I did it out of guilt."
"What? But why?" She asked him with visible anxiety.
"I mean, remember when you bursted into infimary with Nezu just when I was about to get myself kicked for disrespecting Aizawa?" Vilem asked her.
"Yes, I do."
"Me too, including the part when I just yelled at you as soon as I felt you approaching touchy subject afterwards." He continued. "I do remember that you almost cried because of that. This, plus what I seen from Sport Festival between you and Tokoyami, made me think that I kind of started your downward spiral of performance."
"Oh..."
"And failure at the Sport Festival."
"... It wasn't you! Really!" She apologised, trying to stop him from blaming himself.
"Well, I thoughts of it as such." He responded. "As a result, I prepared myself to help you with a complexe plan to improve on what I seen from the festival."
"Yes, it was written in the letter." Momo nodded as they turned left and started walking downstairs. "I know about the confidence, and hero outfit also isn't exacly what I dreamed of, but I never thought of my Quirk technique to be improvable in a way you described."
"You know, you can create things while moving." Vilem tried to joke in response, but quickly corrected himself as he noticed no reaction. "But seriously, standing still to create something makes you an easy target that must be taken out fast. No doubt even average-smart villains will take such opportunity."
"Right, how foolish of me." Momo agreed, looking aside as they eventually went from the stairs and headed to the lockers.
"Nonsence!" Vilem responded happly. "You don't have to be the best at everything."
"I wish I could say that." She sighed, taking an abrupt stop. "I really wish I could say that."
"Parents have big exceptations from you, aren't they?" He asked, turning around to face her.
"... Not really them specifically, but others around them do. They pit a lot of money and time into me and need more results right now." Momo sighed, moving her left leg against the other, and having her socks make a distinct sound or rubbed material. "And the fact that I'm so weak doesn't help."
"Fact? Weak?" Vilem asked, almost disturbed if to judge by his face. "Losing is no weakness. Giving up is."
"Not for me." She lowered her head, starring straight down into the floor. "When Tokoyami's Dark Shadow attacked, I barely got time to even react and create a shield."
"And yet you managed to create it before the hit." Vilem responded, walking up to her into a distance of a regular school ruler. "You aren't as bad as you think. Class vice-rep, Hero studies, representing your family with big expectations from almost everywhere... This is not something I get to deal with myself, but it is something I can honestly say that is hard. And the efforts you made in this direction are something no one can take away from you, nevermind deny them."
"Even if I am less deserving than Todoroki or you?" Momo asked, rising her head with tired face.
"Less deserving?" Vilem asked back with an empty stare, as if he saw a ghost. "Why do you think you're worse than Todoroki? Or even me of all people?"
"Well, since the day one I had you two as a fellow recommendation students to measure my progress." She explained, once again looking down into the floor. "And even if in the first days I was on the same level, later I just began falling behind."
"I don't remember you getting worse before the Sport Festival." He responded, making her look back at him as their eyes managed to get a stable contact. "And even if you are the worst, let me ask you this question of mine." He paused, taking a deep breath as his eyes turned full black. "Do you think even the worse person...Can change? That everyone, can be a good person, if they just try?"
"... I don't know." Momo sighed, looking more akward by the minute. "I don't even know where to start."
"Fine by me, I won't judge your confusion." Vilem smiled politely before turning around and heading away towards his locker. "After all, can I decide for others what are their beliefs?"
"... No." She responded, opening her own as they took out their things and locked them in near-accurate synch. "I wish I could answer you right now."
"No pressure." He smiled back at her. "You already have a way more on your shoulders than a fiveteen-year old should."
"Heh, thanks." She smiled as they slowly headed from the locker room towards the exit. "I needed that."
"All I can do to..." Vilem was about to respond, but stopped mid-sentence and got lost in thoughts.
"Something's wrong?" Momo asked him curiously.
"What is my status to you? debtor?"
"How about a friend?"
"Me?" He asked, taken off the beat with the proposal.
"Of course!" She nodded, almost hitting a level of bouncy behavior. "It's been a while since I got so genuine, personal support."
"Glad to see I could help." Vilem nodded in approval as they walked throu the doors and into the open. "Now then, goodbye and see you in two days."
"You too." She smiled, walking forward with graceful stride and a smile as the sounds of a sport engine became louder and clearer.
"Heh, perfect timing." Vilem smiled, also slowly beginning to walk out of the school. "Wait, aren't only the Hero Agencies allowed to uptake interns?"
Exacly fiveteen days earlier:
"You come to me. On a day of my daughter's weeding. And ask to join my Hero Agency?" Rudnick asked, standing in a formalne attire in front of Vilem, who also got himself a neat grey suit.
"That's why I dressed up." Half-Slovak smiled. "I can be a guest on the weeding as a return."
"But you're finally giving me this god damn ice cream. If you do it in ten hours then you become a co-owner"
"Deal."
Back to present:
"Oh right, silly me." Vilem corrected himself, looking forward as what seemed to be a small, black limousine drive over the road crossing. "But whatever, the decision is in her hands now. All I should do is focus on myself and my own stuff."
"Shame I can't stay longer." Killer sighed, crossing throu the portal as the LoV ave him a small goodbye party. "See you next time Toga!"
"Bye, byeee!" Crazy blondie added as he disappeared in a hole of black goo. "Maaan, I'm gonna miss him a lot."
"We too." Shigaraki added. "His visit was a rather useful one. Hero society was given another strong shake in a short ammount of time."
"As planned." Mysterious tone sounded from the megaphone system within the bar. "Now let's not waste any time. We have plenty of things to do next with our now Nomus and other projects of ours..."
Rings in generic smartphone alarm sound*
"Bruh..." Vilem groaned, taking his smartphone as he was disturbed from a late evening siesta. "Who calls me on seven P.M.? For all mine sake... Dude... " He shaked his head to return to his senses as he finally answered the call. "Hello?"
"Oh, hi Vilem!"
"Momo? Why so soon?" He asked again, faking being sober as in-sleep state didn't truly wear off.
"I just wanted to tell you that I thoughts about the things you said to me back in school..."
"Aaand?"
"I think I'll go on a internship with you."
"Thanks. I promise you won't regret it."
"I know I won't, the company will be good and language barrier is breakable for me."
"Oh well then, see you on the class gathering before departures."
"See you too!"
"... There... And there. These are all of your costumes." Aizawa spoke up, as he handed last briefcases on a main train station in Musutafu. "Minus Vilem, you always pick random casual clothes and call it a day."
"True." Half-Slovak nodded with reserved voice as Hagakure, Ojiro and Momo gathered around him.
"Anyways, remember that you are not allowed to wear them in public without your Hero's approval, nevermind losing them. Is that clear?"
"Yessir!"
"It's 'Yes, Sir', Mina."
"Yes, Sir..."
"That leads me to the next point: Mind your manners on the internships, especially with the Pro Heroes. Now go." Aizawa concluded before turning around. "Oh, and Vilem..." He stopped briefly, looking at him.
"I'll tell them the rules on the go. Initial excitement still has to wear off." Half-Slovak quickly responded.
"Fair enough. You seem to know the rules." Teacher nodded before actually leaving the students who got themselves to organise in more or less coherent way.
"Alright team. First, train to Shizuoka." Vilem rallied his group with a waving finger as they began moving towards the train station. "Next, we go to the airport and board the Tatra Airlines flight 6251. Other things will be explained over time." He added, taking a small lead to not lose the option to look behind in case someone got lost.
"Sure." Ojiro nodded, dragging Hagakure by the arm as she was too excited to talk, let alone walk by herself.
"Lietate s týmto routerom často?" Momo asked, making Ojiro turn white and almost stop in his tracks.
"Prirodzene." Vilem responded.
"Can you at least speak in a way we understand?" Ojiro asked them, slightlt scared of them. "It makes me feel weird."
"It's Slovak language, so better pay some respect." Vilem corrected him with a serious tone. "Because you're gonna hear it a whole lot in where we're heading for this week."
"Exacly." Momo added. "We can't account to assume everyone communicated by default in English, let alone Japanese."
"Yup." Vilem nodded, turning left towards a regional train heading northeast. "Now buckle up you, we have a ride to get in!" He added, handing over all four tickets to the security guard.
"Mhm, all clear." He responded, not taking too long to check the legitimacy of these. "All aboard!" He added, shouting loudly over the station.
"Let's go in team." Vilem ordered as the quartet quickly walked into the train and then headed twice right into a convieniently close set of seats that faced against eachother with a plastic table in between. "Now team, settle up and leave the bags down." He added, as he stood in the middle while Ojiro and Toru walked by him to the further end of the grid. "Want to sit by the window?" He asked, turning to Momo.
"No, thanks for asking."
"Cool." Half-Slovak nodded, smoothly sliding throu the seats, throwing his large backpack under the table and resting his head on the window. "Your loss."
"Wait, wait wait." Toru shaked her head as she also sat by the window. "You let your head be banged by the window during the train ride?"
"Yeah, it's a massage for my brain." Vilem smiled in response as Momo also took her seat and pulled him back into ordinary sitting position. "But I guess not today."
"You have the airplane tickets too, right?" Momo asked him.
"You bet." He responded, presenting to her four registered ones. "Luckly enough, I secured for us a full row of four seats in the middle, so we stay together for a whole journey." He added, while reaching down into his backpack.
"Emm... What are you doing now?" Ojiro asked him, rather suprised.
"A bonus lesson." Vilem added, taking out two small books of fiveteen pages each. "These are the books to learning Slovak language in ammount minimal for a regular Hero. All the required words and phrases are in here with English and - by my pocket expense - Japanese translations. You're gonna need to learn it before we touch down, so I suggest you to take them already." He added, passing them to the duo in front of them.
"By your own expense?" Momo asked him, visibly worried. "How much did it cost you?"
"Like, twelve hundered Yen times two books."
"Whoa, makes me feel bad that you engage so much into us."
"No, no, no. It's not like that." Vilem corrected her with susoense as their train began slowly move forward. "I just don't have too much things that make me even a good friend, so I resort to money as a last option that always happens to be used first."
"You're helpful, dedicated and even humble in a way. You have a lot of things to go off to." Momo retored.
"I guess... What about you two?" Vilem nodded, turning his head forward.
"Well... You aren't a bad person." Ojiro said akwardly.
"You sure are a nice person for the power you have! Just like Momo and Izuku!" Hagakure added happly.
"Thank you. Don't shout like that next time." Vilem responded. "Mind the manners, remember?"
"Oh, right. Sorry."
"Cool, al least now we have it covered." He added, taking out a set of drawings. "Now, we have some time so I think we can discuss your costume rework."
"Hmm... They ain't all bad." Hagakure added, picking one that showed a buff red jumpsuit with open hands loose sleeves. "What's the case with so little skin exposure tho?"
"Damage absorbtion."
"What?"
"And Mineta."
"Alright, I heard all I need."
"I like this one, actually." Momo added, taking another one of the coloured drafts. "It's just my current outfit with black fillinga on the front, exposed back and... Reinforced pants?"
"Leg and bottom protection." Vilem explained smoothly. "Not all villains attavk up front. And this hulu-ass skirt makes you vulnerable from attacks below your waist or even low swings." He added, tapping his finger twice at the afromentioned spot. "Plus, it makes you less exposed."
"That's very forward of you." Ojiro commented, more suprised than annoyed by his speeches.
"In case you haven't notice, I am a metaphorical nut." Vilem responded. "You know, the one from saying 'Go nuts!' or something."
"Oh well, at least there is logic in it." Momo nodded.
"Exacly! Your costume ideas are even. sometimes good!" Hagakure tried to tease him.
"Better to wear something than nothing." He responded, looking back down at the pictures.
"Hey!"
"So, anything that took your attention?" He asked, looking back at Momo.
"Well..." She paused for a while, moving some cards aside to pick one from a lower part of the pile. "This one appeals to me."
"Hmm..." Vilem hummed, looking at the picture of costume consisting of white spandex on the bottom, double utility belt from Momo's current outfit and the red top with very exposed back. "It seems to be what I need, just add some shoes."
"How about the boots from your current outfit?" Ojiro asked her.
"It's not aesthetically matching, but it should work."
"In worst case we can always find new ones to suit your fancy." Hagakure added.
"Then we are settled." Vilem concluded, taking the pictures back to his backpack and marking the chosen one with proper adnotation and agreed additions. "Now then, let's relax team. Preparations will be done on the plane."
"Oh well, the minors have already departed." Insanity smiled, walking throu the portal as he left Horror behind in Slovakia. "Give their boss what our Boss wants and farm EXP. on whoever remains."
"Gotcha." Horror responded as the portal closed. "Oh well, not like anything is going to happen in there." He thought, turning around and facing the Sun. "Humans and surface world is stronger only in pure power. Killer already proved how soft they tend to be in actual fighting. Vilem could aswell come into my trap alone. But hey, free EXP. doesn't come often and I need to stay in the Trio as a frontal member..."
