Draculaura Pov:

"I love my family. While my dad is considerably one of the most fearsome and scariest vampires of all time, he's still a lovable dad. However, the one thing that can be too much is the birthdays he hosts for me since he's always seen me as his princess. While adorable I'm not a princess anymore, I'm a witch in training. I haven't told him since the history of him and every vampire sharing a hatred with witches and warlocks due to them being humans with magic that could rival them. The only thing I want to do with magic is help my vampires not be afraid of it and show them it could help us then be used for conflict. Which is why I told my dad to not tell anyone about my birthday to Headmistress Bloodgood or any of the faculty in Monster High, luckily I've managed to keep it on the low profile since I can tell my friends would find it messed up for me to not celebrate my birthday."

Monster High-Ghoul's Room

It was an average morning at the school and right now everyone was in the classrooms leaving Draculaura the time to work on her spells without any interruptions. The vampire was right now reading several spells in the Grimoire she's managed to hide from the entire school and especially her father since he'd often check up on her from time to time. Right now she was focused on studying potions since after her last spell which brought a pencil to life, she would decide to start small and easy. Enjoying her moment of peace and relaxation, Draculaura didn't notice the portrait of her father by the side of the wall blinking as it was slowly coming to life.

"Draculaura."

The voice speaking from the painting which jumps scared the vampire ghoul leaving her to drop the Grimoire to the floor. Turning around quickly she saw her father trying to speak to her as she was caught off guard by the sudden call.

"Dad. Didn't expect you to call me, you usually do it after I pass some of my classes."

Sounding surprised by the visit and not expecting him to make a call so alarming since he was busy with his vampiric duties. Though from the look of it, he seemed to be concerned about another matter he wanted to discuss with her.

"When it comes to you, nothing is important to check up on you. Especially the birthday you decided to not celebrate."

Bringing up a topic about how her birthday passed several days ago and she didn't want to have her birthday. Draculaura merely sigh since she did celebrate her birthday, but it wasn't big or loud like most vampiric birthdays that involved an assembly of family and a collection of items brought over from across the vampire world. Her birthday was different since it involved only her and her dad watching movies and having dinner together with cake as dessert.

"We did. I just didn't want it to be big and loud, lately, I've wanted to try and keep it calm. Also, I didn't have any clothing that is good for the birthday."

Explaining why she didn't want a massive birthday and not hiding her true reason which was continuing her studies in witchcraft. Dracula only sighs since he wanted to spend time with her after what happened at Monster High, not knowing the danger she was in when her teacher tried to destroy the school.

"I only wanted you to have a spectacular birthday. It only happens once when you turn sixteen hundred years old."

Informing her about this particular age when most vampire children would have the largest and grand birthdays to make other vampires jealous. Draculaura knew that much since she's had friends with birthdays being bigger than anyone else's, she wanted hers to be different and just with her dad. Just as they were having their conversation, outside of the room Clawdeen, and Junior was coming back from class as they heard the conversation happening. Not making a sound they quietly made their way to the door trying their best to not make a sound.

"Age? Yes. Looks, like that's a different story. I mean look at you dad. Your fifty nine thousand years old and still getting greeted by several countesses."

Draculaura brought up his age and that he was still the heartthrob in the monster world due to his history and royal status. This left Dracula to get nervous about this and look away seeing how she found a way to embarrass him, Clawdeen and Junior held in a burst of laughter trying to not be heard from the outside. Getting himself adjusted, Dracula made sure to retain his composure and act serious.

"Anyway. I wanted to make sure you got your present in time, even if you're busy with school. You'll know I'll appreciate whatever you do with your afterlife."

Stating that he'd be glad about whatever Draculaura did on her own time and not be hard with her studies. Draculaura smiled at his comment before hearing wings flapping by her window as if it was a gargoyle that had her gift. Listening from outside both Clawdeen and Junior shared a smile at how the two vampires got along and spent time together. Continuing to listen the two didn't notice another set of footsteps coming right behind them.

"What's going on?"

The voice spoke out which was Frankie who showed an expression on their face while startling the wolf girl and lizard Kaiju, the two almost stumble before rushing over and stopping Frankie from getting noticed. The reanimated ghoul didn't understand what was happening and the urgency of remaining quiet, but they stopped to listen to what was happening.

"We were listening to a conversation Draculaura was having with her dad. Her birthday just passed and it was supposed to be loud and exciting, but our vampire friend wanted to keep it quiet."

Junior summarized the conversation for the ghoul which left Frankie speechless since they never exactly what a birthday was. Clawdeen noticed the look on Frankie's face how they looked confused about what a birthday was.

"You mean the celebration of one's birth? I didn't exactly have one when I was made. Though I was offered some meals and beverages."

Remembering how their birthday went which was when Frankie was built. Clawdeen felt relieved since everyone deserved a chance to enjoy the day they were born, looking over to Junior he remained silent as he didn't want to add his 'birthday' memories to the conversation. He was focused on another issue that was coming into his mind right now.

"Why did it get so quiet right now?"

Asking the two ghouls since he noticed that the conversation inside had gone silent leaving him with a frightening idea of why it was quiet. The door opened up which had the three stumbling back as they saw Draculaura staring at her friends with the same look she gave when they became roommates. Clawdeen showed a nervous smile with an added chuckle seeing that it felt like an awkward moment for them to be standing right outside of the door.

"Happy late birthday?"

Complimenting her as the pink skin vampire helped her up along with the others seeing how it was bound for them to figure out her hidden birthday. Getting them into the room before anyone noticed, Draculaura felt embarrassed about how this was the same experience when they learned about her studying witchcraft in the graveyard.

"No disrespect, but I thought someone with a father that could make any monster in the world terrified would want a birthday that makes Cleo jealous."

Junior questioned how she was similar to Cleo when it came to wealth due to the amount of money that Dracula had saved over the centuries. The girl said nothing since it felt like a personal topic which Clawdeen could notice from the look on her face, she walked over to her side curious to see if she'd tell her.

"It's because no matter how old I get I'll always look the same. It takes a long time for a vampire to change their appearance."

Responding to him and the others about one of the cons of being a vampire which came to look the same. The others felt sorry for what was Draculaura going since they didn't expect a vampire would feel uncomfortable about this, at that moment Frankie showed a jolt of electricity figuring out a response to their friend's dilemma.

"Technically for most vampires, it's half and half because technically they slowly age when centuries pass. Yet it's still a mystery when vampires grow in appearance, however, it helps for the body to grow if they do several activities just when the birthday happens."

Offering a theory as to how Draculaura could 'grow' in a sense due to how she didn't look like she was aging. Though that didn't mean she couldn't try and get taller which made her give Frankie a questionable look about the statement. While helpful it still seemed like a long shot and not a successful one since she still felt upset about her birthday.

"Maybe the best way to not think about it is to have some fun. Since I can tell everyone has had different experiences with birthdays, we should have one together."

Clawdeen offers an idea of how she and the others could help Draculaura feel better about having a birthday than feeling upset. Taking a moment to think about the offer of hanging out with her friends, Junior was able to think about a way he could help the vampire witch get out of this funk she was in.

"There's a place I know out of school. I performed there and no it's not shady or the possibility of a Kaiju getting jumpy and wanting to attack me. A calm place for someone like you to enjoy and got meals even royalty like yourself will enjoy."

Offering them a place to celebrate as it earned him a small smile from Draculaura since it seems if she was going to have a birthday party, then the king of Kaiju could offer a place for them to enjoy it. Agreeing with the suggestion the others smiled as they grabbed several of their things before heading out to where Junior was suggested. The last one to go was Frankie who noticed one of the lightbulbs in the room blinking, it was morse code as it was trying to speak to them.

"Pandora? Do you want to try and celebrate with Draculaura? That's great! But I don't think we can bring the entire school with us."

Smiling towards the school on how it listened to their conversation and would want to offer a hand in cheering Draculaura up. Taking a second, Frankie heard one of the shelves creaking as it moved to the side revealing a startling sight to Frankie. While also smiling since this could be a way to cheer up their vampiric friend once they come back from the place Junior was taking them to.

Later-Palace of Faye

Taking a quick stroll from Monster High, the four arrived at a small place where both monsters and Kaiju hung out to feel strong like the first creatures that came into the establishment. Junior guided the ghouls into the palace where they saw a dance floor, several tables and the staff being harpies who were constantly cleaning and making sure it was perfect.

"Junior!"

A voice called out from the rafters as the four saw an elderly harpy who was checking out the ceiling lights. Swooping down to greet Junior and the ghouls, they saw how he had trouble flying down along several feathers coming off him as he smiled seeing the young kaiju coming into his establishment.

"It's been a while since I last saw you, especially how you handled those ruffians when you performed here."

Recalling Junior's time on his own, he did a show here that got the attention of several snakes that tried to eat the staff. Luckily the Kaiju was able to straighten them out and made sure that they didn't come back. The ghouls looked at him seeing that he wasn't the loner that he tried to make himself be. Junior lets out a sigh seeing that they might hold this over him since he's worked on a reputation of being the loner type.

"Hello, Faye. This is Clawdeen, Draculaura, and Frankie. They're friends of mine and I promised to show them a nice time, got anything new for us to eat?"

Starting with the introduction of the group the elderly harpy nodded with a smile as he guided the four to a table where it was near several flowers and thorns which made it frightening yet welcoming at the same time. Getting themselves settled they were quickly given several drinks specially made for them.

"Scary berries and bark shakes? Talk about your pun beverages."

Clawdeen complimented on the flavors as each of them took a drink from their beverages they enjoyed the taste. Meanwhile, for Junior, he got much of a powerful kick which had his eyes light up amusingly. They got curious to see what flavor he got which was eruption orange, made only for creatures with durable stomachs.

"Now let's get to the fun stuff. What did your dad give you?"

Starting off the conversation as the werewolf and others got curious about what Dracula gave her while they were listening outside of the door. Taking a moment to pull it out, Draculaura presented to them her gift which was a custom made necklace with a dark pink heart. There were small rubies around the sides of the necklace as well had another feature, opening up it showed a photo of her and Dracula smiling together.

"That's so heartwarming. The last time I felt like this my parents had to get a new heart for me after I wore out the last one, got too excited over getting my room and clothing."

Frankie admired the necklace and let out electricity from their bolts which shocked a harpy waiter that fell to the ground. The others noticed it and tried to not look suspicious trying to get back on Draculaura's birthday present since it looked incredible.

"It feels like after almost losing my afterlife, something in him woke up. That out of everything that he's been through across the centuries, it took the moment when Komos attack us to see me as his daughter. For while he knew, but this is different. It's more emotional."

Explaining how the gift wasn't just to look stunning but a hidden message about it, and how he would never let anything distract him from her. The ghouls felt almost teary at Draculaura's words and how their parents loved each of them, not much so Junior since his father wasn't around when he was growing up. Taking a second to smile about the good moment, he decided to do something to change his feeling at the moment as he placed his cup on the table getting their attention.

"Speaking of emotions, I think it's time to offer the birthday vampire witch her present. Which is taking the stage and gracing us with her new age."

Pointing towards the stage since it was open for anyone to sing, this left Draculaura nervous since she wasn't the one to sing for an audience. Though she noticed Clawdeen smiling at her thinking it is good to let out the feelings she had within her, along with seeing Frankie excited to see what Draculaura could do. Taking a moment to think about it she decided to accept the offer to sing for the palace.

"Alright, but don't blame me when everyone claps for me."

Warning Junior as Draculaura had an idea what she planned on doing when she was on stage. Heading up the stairs, Draculaura saw how the harpies made sure to prepare her for the performance she'd give to the audience as they saw the vampire heading up to the microphone presented to her. Taking a moment to calm herself, Draculaura stared at the audience and her friends with a smile growing in a sly manner seeing how she knew what to sing for them.

"I don't know why I'm like this, I love to mess with you. Something in my psychosis finds it a little hard."

Starting off the song the harpies behind her had several instruments playing to the tone of her singing. Draculaura saw how her friends were curious about how she'd share her voice with them and the audience. Staring at Junior, Draculaura was going do the one thing, not any Kaiju would have thought of. Bring down the house with her music.

"I always got good intentions, you tell me I saved your life. But maybe I'm cravin' the attention, and you know that I got two sides."

Stating to him as she stomped her feet to the side making the harpies play their instruments louder. It got the attention of everyone in the palace to come onto the dance floor to see her sing, the rhythm of her singing had everyone moving in unison almost as if they were under her spell.

"I'll be the villain tonight! I kinda like it when you despise me after we fight. Feels so much better when I'm pushin' all your buttons 'til you're crawling on the floor! You say you hate my guts, but you're still coming back for more."

Claiming to act chaotic in a sense seeing how Draculaura moved across the stage showing off her vampiric side with a hiss towards anyone who tried to wave her. The others saw how she was enjoying herself as the three decided to participate on the dance floor trying to be a part of the synchronized dance. Taking the opportunity, she came off the stage to have everyone look at her with admiration which was possibly messing with Junior since he was usually the star whenever he performed.

"I know that you get jealous, so I'll play the fantasy. I know you get mad when everyone looks at me. Some of my favorite moments usually start with tears, swear that you'll pull me closer whenever we flirt with fear."

Looking at Junior when she sang which made him flustered at how she felt confident with her song as Draculaura gestured to both Clawdeen and Frankie to come over to her side. Taking the chance, the two ghouls came to her side as the three of them had a spotlight on each of them to show their dance skills to everyone.

"I'll be the villain tonight! I kinda like it when you despise me after we fight. Feels so much better when I'm pushin' all your buttons 'til you're crawling on the floor! You say you hate my guts, but you're still coming back for more."

Everyone watched how the ghouls danced in unison and how everyone cheered for them. Junior, who watched from the side smiled at them enjoying each other as he decided to do one more thing to make this night perfect for Draculaura. Going over to Faye, he whispered one last thing for her. Walking over to the doors in the back he knew what kind of to help out with Draculaura's performance.

"What's you and I without a little pain? Tastes bittersweet each time you say my name. If love was poison, we would drink it anyways. Feels so good playing these wicked little games."

Asking her friends before hearing a familiar sound from the outside. Wings, bat wings to be exact flew into the palace which frightened most of the people. Except for Draculaura since bats were family to her and her father. Clawdeen and Frankie moved to the side as they flew over her presenting themselves to the now sixteen hundred year old vampire ghoul congratulating her on her birthday."

"I'll be the villain tonight! I kinda like it when you despise me after we fight. Feels so much better when I'm pushin' all your buttons 'til you're crawling on the floor! You say you hate my guts, but you're still coming back for more."

Finished her song as she did a pose as the bats formed a heart right over her which had the entire establishment applauded for her. Draculaura couldn't believe the attention she received and noticing Junior who smiled at the bats was his idea which she couldn't help but smile back in a gesture of thanking him. The kaiju accepted it since everyone could see her as more than just her appearance, but a new vampire with confidence and friends that enjoyed her company.

Later-Monster High

After spending one more hour at the palace, the four teens returned to Monster high laughing at one another for how they made the place entertaining. Faye offered them the finest sweets he kept in the back if anyone could make the palace filled with laughter and joy, which included four scoops of eye cream cones that Faye kept persevered for special occasions.

"Have to say when it comes to birthdays, that was the best one I've ever been a part of. Even after the bats did several shapes, it couldn't compare to Junior arm wrestling that gorgon. He was giving you the eyes."

Clawdeen teasing Junior about a gorgon wanting to see if he could beat him in an arm wrestling match. Junior merely shrugged his shoulders about how it ended with him dodging the gorgon's stone gaze which stoned one of the harpies. Coming up to their room, Frankie stopped them seeing how they had to say something before letting everyone in.

"Before we go in, I want to give Draculaura one last birthday present. It's actually from Pandora but she wanted me to tell you a happy birthday, and that the present is waiting inside."

Explaining the sudden stop which left the three curious about what the Franken ghoul was telling them. Noticing the lights blinking in morse code, Frankie let them in as the three were curious to see what Pandora's present was. Hearing the shelves creaking it opened up showing a secret room, they looked surprised to find a witch's lair complete with a cauldron and several potions that looked preserved.

"I'm getting the intention that Pandora wants to make sure you have the means to practice becoming a witch. Along with having a pack to help you out on the journey."

Clawdeen suggests to her friend as the vampire was speechless at the small room which had everything to help her with the training. Taking the moment Frankie gathered everyone for a hug which made most of them laugh since it was a perfect moment for them to come together, especially for Clawdeen to let out a howl to celebrate the moment. Looking to Junior to see if he couldn't do the same, the kaiju let out a small roar to make sure he didn't break the windows. All the while Draculaura, felt incredible from the love she was receiving and how much they did for her today.

"The song used for this was 'Villain' by Bella Poarch, all rights go to her. Also, happy late birthday to Draculaura! More chapters coming soon, comment down below to ask questions about what will happen next. See you soon."
